Dale's Fish & Chips in Blackpool

Found my food great! The only thing is that found steel round scrubbers in the tray informed the owner, went again same old thing nothings changed won't be going again

just been and asked for a large bag of chips to share between two of us but when we was served them there was only a enough for one person not highly recommended you will see from photo below

Was a bit wary!!! sat night in Blackpool and no customers in there at all, all fears quickly quashed as when I asked if we could have skinless fish the answer was we don’t have skin on, what a relief 2 lovely bits of haddock, battered sausage and portion of chips, all freshly cooked couldn’t ask for anything better.

Great service! Made chips nice and fresh Great banter with the staff. Had battered sausage and chips with peas! My wife had mushy peas chips and sausage but wanted it as follows, peas first, chips then lightly salted with vinegar then the sausage, no trouble at all! Well done girls!

We were in search of a place to relax and indulge in some delicious food on a bustling Saturday tea time, when we stumbled upon this gem of a chippy just off the promenade. Despite the crowds, they still had enough room to accommodate all 7 of us. They offered all the classic items you would expect from a traditional chippy, and the friendly staff provided table service. To our delight, the food arrived promptly, allowing us to dig in without much waiting. We ordered a variety of dishes, including scrumptious crispy battered cod, sausages, and chicken burgers. The chips were a treat! Generously sized and perfectly crunchy, they hit the spot. Plus, we couldn't help but appreciate the charming vintage designs on the plates. As we got the bill, we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially considering our proximity to the promenade. This delightful experience has left us eager to return on our next visit to Blackpool.

Dales has been going for years I used to bring my nan here, food quality is fab not swimming in grease I ordered here yesterday and just done another order for tonight. Great place to eat in or takeaway.

Reviews seemed good so ordered whilst on a trip to blackpool, late night order after a night on the town but food took a while to arrive but very poor quality and cold

The kebab was done to perfection for me absolutely perfect and exactly what I asked for, thank you I will be back to fill my pregnancy cravings

Service is absolutely disgusting, didn’t help me once. Atmosphere is alright cold but ok. The food is horrid, I ordered fish and chips but only got cold chips asked them for my fish and warm up my chips they said no so I had to go to the sea front to catch my own fish, came back and they didn’t warm my chip. Asked for a refund and they started having a go at me. The fish they made me catch I realised into the sea. Absolutely awful, Never again.

We won't be eating here again, the chips were far too greasy and the burgers were of poor quality and barely cooked (cold) I had to put the sausages in my air fryer as they were so cold ,to be honest what didn't go in the dogs went in the bin.

Two families needing dinner on a Saturday night in Blackpool, saw some great reviews and we were not disappointed! As soon as we put our head in the door we were greeted and welcomed, a lovely double place was set up and we all were ordered and had food within ten minutes. The service was excellent and great serving sizes too. I especially enjoyed the mushy peas with my scampi, I usually don’t like peas at all but this was pretty great with my meal.

Lovely food would highly recommend.

The whole thing was dripping in grease, chips were tasteless. Fish had replaced the dean water for a oil bath. Kebab must be very low on lamb percentage. Overall it’s poor I would never order again

My missus and I popped in last saturday evening (12th november) on our recent trip to blackpool. We'd never known of the diner before but happened to come across it when we were strolling through the back streets, and quite glad we did. Definitely my kind of place and atmosphere. We both had the large fish and chips, which were fantastic. We were struggling to finish cause the portions were huge hehe. Very tasty indeed too, and for the prices we were charged, certainly couldnt ask for more. The staff were also brilliant with us too and we left extremely happy. We'll definitely be back again and again during our blackpool breaks here and there. Thanks again 👍👍👌

Lovey chips, sometimes exactly what's needed

It was raining, everywhere was busy and we were hungry so just found somewhere with indoor seating available. Furnished like a transport cafe at the back of a chippy. Orders were taken at the table and we both had a meal deal. The promised bread and butter didn't appear but neither of us was too fussed as we had sufficient to eat. The fish & chips were hot and tasty and they used my own tea bag (I can't drink caffeinated tea) for my cuppa. Come on Northern England,catch up,some of us can only drink decaffeinated tea and coffee.

We are regulars in Dales Fish & Chips when on hols food has always been excellent and staff are wonderful just like family.recommend if you are in Blackpool to give Dales a visit you won't be disappointed

Probably the best donna kebab we have had bar none will definitely be eating from Dale’s again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Coved in grease very unappealing fish was ove cooked and and chips where way to grease maybe they where having a bad day but I'm not ordering from here again

Garlic bread was undercooked, tasted like cheese on toast. Kebab meat must of been reheated because it tasted boiled. We were charged extra to have separate sauce? And then charge extra to have have the salad separate? Very small portions, bland and felt awkward in the shop. Most of it went in the bin.

Only place in Blackpool, that was open for spam fritters. Get 2 for £3 and they're quite decent sizes. Absolutely beautiful. Staff were friendly and chatty too. :)

Wet fish, wet peas. The smallest piece of fish ever and high prices

Its a busy Saturday night so why is there no choice? U can get fish sausage or pizza. No haggis left, no spam fritters, no battered products. It's blackpool 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Had like a feeling of awkwardness here for some reason also got my very simple order of chips,pot of gravey and two cans of coke wrong lol 🤦‍♂️...... To make matters worse the chips really aren't all that the gravey on the other hand was sound like I must say tho very awkward moment for some reason ❓

Visited late evening with my grandson, he had jumbo sausage and chips, I had large kebab on pita, salad was fresh chilli sauce nice and spicy, and did decent home made chips, and pricing was good compared to some chippy/ cafe's ,all the time we waited people were coming and going, so a popular place too ,old fella behind the counter was nice and polite too, my son recommended Dale's to me ,he went a couple of weeks before

Had fish and chips and peas,cup of tea. Was good,good pleasant friendly staff. Would recommend, not far from Blackpool Tower.

walked past a few time's ? Then i went in and had the fish n chips n mushy pea's my Favorite Chippy now in Blackpool . With Big Portions and the staff so friendly, Should try a kebab next time but i have the fish n chips as it's always been cooked fresh and taste's so nice. June next visit yummy

We ordered 2 pizzas both of which were lukewarm when they arrived, meat feast pizza was very greasy due to having donner meat on as opposed to spicy beef as advertised on the menu! We also ordered chicken nuggets which had the taste of burnt oil so were inedible. Scampi was lukewarm and overcooked. Chips however were piping hot and delicious. Needless to say we were very disappointed.

Always wanted to order from here and thought let’s give it a go, it arrived on time the cheeseburger I ordered was spot on can’t go wrong with that. the pie was quite soggy to say the least. The battered sausage did not taste that great and the chips from here honestly by far the worst chips I have had from a chippy very hard not fresh at all was quite disappointing as I heard somewhat decent things from here I don’t think I will be ordering from here again.

Food was cold and they'd forgot my coke when I rang the girl on phone was terribly rude and kept blaming traffic days later and still no coke or even apology.. I for one will never be back and Il be going to trading standards over the poor service ran here

Portions good and tasted fine however it was 40 minutes late and the time on the delivery kept changing. When it did arrive it was all cold.

Wow I must say I'm so impressed. Didn't expect much if I'm honest with it being more a chippy and being delivered but the chips were stunning. Fresh and full of taste with no grease. The pizza and burger although I can't personally comment on as I can't eat them looked lovely and very fresh my daughter loved her ham and pineapple pizza. Plenty of topping and perfectly cooked. My son's burger, same perfectly cooked and for someone whoes so fussy he demolished it. The only thing I would say is the onion rings looked a bit lethargic with not much batter on. Saying that the kids loved them and I was so happy it was actual onion and not the mush you get from most places. Will definitely be ordering again and can't wait to try the fish! (If I can on my new forced gluten free diet 🙄🤣)

Excellent place to eat and enjoy the family. The food was excellent, the attention of the waiters was the best in the area, excellent. Eating and drinking is not cheap, a little expensive but it always leaves one satisfied. I recommend it

The food was disgusting chicken was marinaded in some sort of spice and was yellowish in colour salad in kebab not fresh food very greasy no taste in edible wouldnt use again!

Food piping hot when delivered (30 minutes early). Really tasty, chips were excellent and pizza loaded with toppings!

The rebellion festival was great but winter gardens was so hot and I mean hot everyone felt like they were melting, why wasn't the air conditioning on.

Second time I have had food from there. The first I went to the shop, the food great. The second time I had it delivered, again it was great and arrived earlier than expected which was fine as I was very hungry. I shall be going again. Stupid website makes me rate the restaurant service, I've used it but give it a 5 inline with the rest.

Food is ok, nothing to write home about! Owner is very friendly and welcoming. It's like being in a large sauna.

The chips were completely bland. They had zero taste or flavour and had an odd texture, very disappointing. The tub of gravy was very small, should have been twice the size to be value for money. The gravy itself was a bit lumpy and lacked flavour. The food was warm and the delivery person was pleasant hence the one star. The quality of the food was just substandard and won't order from here again.

Friend asked for vegetarian options, offered fish cake and chicken burger.

Had the meat platter, the lamb kofta and the chicken was nice but rest of meat very chewy. The chips were very soggy and had burnt bits on unfortunately so they were not eaten.
