Cuckoo Cakes in Eastbourne

Cuckoo Cakes has been replaced by Cafe Italia. A lot more dishes have been added to the menu which now features both British and Italian food. The spaghetti carbonara is the best I have ever had. I wish them all the best for their new venture.

This place is so special! It's run by the most lovely Brazilian family who are keen to talk to you about their cakes and drinks. The cake I had was like a brownie with a warm chocolate middle. I also had a smoothie made with Cupuacu fruit. I love that it's homely and has authentic food/drink from Brazil.

Don’t miss out on this little gem of a cafe. Friendly warm welcome, delicious coffee and food. Very nice to find different things to eat - I enjoyed trying out the Brazilian specialities.

this is a little cafe with a big heart. so much better than the size suggest. . There is a great range of food and drink to eat in or take-away . They make cakes to order any size , favour or dietary requirements ; we have had G.F coconut and caramel, coffee and walnut , . The quality is exceptional and good value

We went here today for the first time & had a very warm welcome from the owner. He was very attentive & made our coffees to our request (not too milky) The coffee was nice & hot which I find is difficult to get nowadays. He explained about some of the food on offer & we had a cheese bread ( he told us typically Brazilian) & a chicken fritter. They were both delicious. This cafe is clean, & friendly with a good choice of eat in or takeaway food. We will definitely be visiting again. Give it a try if you’re in the area or passing through.
