Wow Wow, what amazing ice cream- home made. Our dog had a doggy ice cream, made on site with peanut butter- she was so happy! Probably the best ice cream outside of Italy we have ever had !!!

We stopped here after reviewing the two shops on the same street. As this was 'traditional' Italian-style gelato, we were happy to stop here. All the information about allergies displayed, and notices about cannot guarantee cross contamination, I was disappointed that my two choices of ice cream could not be how I wanted on my cone. Pistachio on the bottom and sticky toffee, fig and honeycomb. I was advised this was because it could be cross-contaminated. I ended up getting them separately - one on an cone, then return to have one in a tub. This was a more expensive option, and while I do appreciate some customers may have allergies, the nut and nut-free options sat side by side and could have been cross-contaminated by dropping on each other. Staff were also not helpful to offer a solution for this either e.g. offer one in a tub and only charge as a 2 scoop ice cream. Shame as it was lovely gelato.

We had this ice cream a few times and it was lovely, theres sooo many flavours its difficult to choose, its was £6 for 2 different scoops but we couldn't resist buying it again and again

We've been here countless times this year during visits with our children and just myself and my partner. The BEST ice cream we have ever had. Flavours come from all your favourite chocolates, sweets and cheesecakes, they truly are amazing 😁🍦

We popped into here for a quick ice cream one afternoon. It was very busy, which I assume is due to its location and there were so many different ice cream options available, including dog-friendly ice cream. The quality was lovely, but it was a bit more pricey than other ice cream places just a short walk away. Overall, it was a good experience though!

Creme Pen Cei has the best ice cream in town! Don't miss out on their delicious flavors! (Cadbury’s cream egg 🤤) Also perfect for anyone who has allergies or are vegan. Both soya and almond ice creams. Delicious!

Think I had the biggest whippy ice cream i ve ever seen, it was glorious and reminded me of holidays as a child.

You MUST try this place!!! We have not had gelato like that outside of Rome!!! The staff are so lovely and the flavours are out of this world!!!! The Turkish Delight Gelato was an absolute treat. We loved it so much we went twice!!!! The owners are so kind also and so welcoming. Thank you!

When you're visiting New Quay way You must call in at Creme Pen Cei ! The delicious ice cream, Will cause you to beam! As for flavours......what an array!! Of course, this is New Quay , Ceredigion, Wales, not Newquay , Cornwall. "Creme Pen Cei" sells superb ,home-made, soft ice cream in a huge variety of unusual and wonderful flavours........that I have not come across anywhere else. Scrumptious !! Ardderchog! [Excellent} as we say in Welsh !!

My first thought was “ that’s an expensive ice cream”. I have to say it was worth every penny. The ice cream was amazing, so many flavours to choose from and the scoop size was plentiful. Wish it wasn’t the last day of our holiday so that I could visit again and try more flavours.

There's ice cream, and then there's ice cream!!!!! Without doubt, they sell the best ice cream I've ever had, and I've been around!! Totally original flavours and combinations made on site, New Quay is gorgeous,... watching the dolphins with one of these ice creams in your hand? Priceless!! Ice cream. Not hard to get wrong, but can be hard to get right as well as this. A great choice of flavours, all very tempting, and the ones we tried were all really great. Just off the beach, it's convenient and the service was fast and friendly. It wasn't the cheapest experience but on the basis of 'you get what you pay for', it was worth it. A whippy 99 does the job, but these ice creams do it much better. My only disappointment was that we didn't get to return and try more flavours - maybe on our next visit to New Quay. Oh, and they didn't do my favourite sauce, lime - but nobody seems to these days so I won't hold that against them.

We visited during a recent trip to Newquay Wales & had an ice cream - so many different flavours on offer (all freshly made that day) - we were spoilt for choice!Friendly staff and all COVID regulations in place.....One of the best ice creams I have ever had, a personal favourite is the milky bar mash up ;-) Would 100% recommend, the best place to visit for an ice cream! Already can’t wait to visit again! ;-)

Such a great selection of ice cream and big portions. It’s right by the sea too. We had a coffee here and this is also great.

When we visti new quay creme pen is always a must. Great family run buisness offering the best to locals and holiday makers alike. Will be back next year

Really enjoyed our ice cream. We tried Turkish delight and cherry. Both excellent. Big scoops and tasty waffle cones. The girls behind the counter were lovely too.

I think this is the best ice cream I have tasted! Amazing choice of flavours including Ferrero richer, rolo, jaffa cake. Quick service and near to the beach. Would definitely return!

Visit at least once every year. So many flavours it is always difficult to decide but yet to have a bad one! One afternoon saw a socially distanced queue going far up the road but we went at noon and did not have to wait long so would avoid the post lunch crowds if you can

Insane amount of flavours, all fresh made in house. Staff are always friendly despite the huge amount of customers. They do hot food as well but it's the ice cream that people come for. Really love the dairy free range, they are the best you'll find anywhere.

Very little more I can say... this ice cream is amazing. The mint choc chip and salted caramel are my favourites, but the choice is incredible. Worth a visit

Greedy things that we are, my family and I have just spent another week in New Quay and have visited this wonderful ice cream haven almost every day! It's almost impossible to choose which flavour to choose but as they're all amazing, it doesn't really matter! They also do great coffee and tasty lunch treats including delicious crab baguettes. Service is always with a smile and they're suitably strict on social distancing which is reassuring. My wasteline is paying the price for this wonderful establishment!

Visited here whilst in New Quay for a couple days, never had ice cream this good! (sorry to my beloved university ice cream shop Fortes in Llandudno) this place is top notch, and has so many Vegan/Dairy free options.

Great choice of ice cream...however we were greeted and harassed by a very rude member of staff who persistently proceeded to make insulting remarks regarding our intelligence and nationality. From what I've read on here we are not the only ones they've insulted, definately won't be returning or reccomending.

Having queued according to Covid restrictions and getting to the front to be greeted by so many colourful flavours and various information about cone size and type we gave our order through the Perspex screen. It was difficult to hear the various options the server was saying however we quite clearly caught the “more Mensa material” comment from the large gentleman in black. 2 ice creams and 2 smoothies for £18.50, insults thrown in for free!

I was so looking forward to ice cream and we have been leaving in Pontgarreg for over 3 month when I finally manage to get one the last week before they shut for the season. Well the staff must have the patience of a saint with so many choice the crow of four us could not make up our minds. Lucky it was getting late so there were no other customers. Finally when we did chose it was a fantastic ice cream come on next season.

Delicious gelato,wide choice of flavours to choose from although pricey, a nice holiday treat.The shop is open in season only,closes closes around first week in November.

This ice cream is the best in New Quay and.the lemon cheesecake is my favourite. My mouth is watering at the thought of it! There is always a big queue of people outside but they’re happy to wait.

Wow! The ice cream they make here is insane! I nearly walked straight back on for another but I’m getting fat! Lovely staff, well presented place and very clean. Very impressed, even better than Joes ice cream in Swansea. Lovely stuff, well done x

Visited here twice this past week with our 2 year old toddler.Our 2 year old has a dairy allergy, and I follow a dairy free diet too (because he always wants to try my food!) So it was great to see a Vegan Ice Cream (Chocolate Orange Flavour) and sorbets, as well as some pretty impressive looking Ice Creams for none allergies.There were also Gluten Free options too. My partner had the salted caramel which looked amazing, and he also had a different type of caramel one a few days later. They both looked amazing and he said they were better than they looked!They also sell wraps/baguettes/other hot snacks. So it's definitely worth checking out if you're visiting New Quay; you won't be disappointed and I bet you'll go more than once!

Wow! My family and I have never had ice cream as good as this. Two of us fancied something not too sweet, so went for the yogurt with fruit,and the sorbet. We were not disappointed, both were delicious. The rest of the family had sticky toffee and chocolate. They were yummy too.

Delicious Ice cream which is made fresh in store each day. We went twice in a week and both times the quality was excellent. Even got our dog a doggy ice cream which she demolished! Staff were friendly and very helpful and allowed us to sample flavours.

Fantastic choice of ice cream. Been here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. All ice creams look very tempting but my favourite is the Ferraro Roche ice cream which is delicious and spot on in flavour. Staff are accommodating and allow tasters of an ice cream for those indecisive moments. Highly recommend a visit here on your visit to New Quay.

What mire can be said then, you have to have an ice cream here if you visit New Quay, it is the law!! The frozen yogurt is also amazing.

There's a vast range of flavours but some of the ones based on popular confectionery are a bit too much and overpower the good ice-cream. Stick to things like lemon cheesecake, black cherry or some of the gluten free options and you can't go wrong.

We came a couple of years ago and the ice cream was amazing! One of the reasons we came back again. Fabulous choices the children loved the bubble gum one and the unicorn rainbow. My favourite was the chocolate fudge.

So many choices of ice cream,including vegan options and it's no surprise the shop was never without customers. I made it my mission to try them all but I never came close so I guess I will have to go back sometime.

The shop was very very busy and after getting to the front of the queue I can see why. So much choice and they all looked amazing. Had a cone with one scoop. It was a generous serving and staff were friendly.

Delicious ice cream. Loved the wide selection of flavours that you don't normally see, such as kinder bueno, blue banana, rolo etc, as well as the usual favourites. Also a nice selection of cones to choose from.

If you're here on a hot day, expect to see a phenomenal queue snaking into the road. But don't worry too much about it - the staff move fast, and you'll be at the counter before you know it.

We went in autumn and it was freezing outside but we went and they were still open. Still beautiful tasting Ice cream as usual. Would recommend to anytime of the year.

This has to be the BEST PLACE EVER for ice cream. I had the jaffa cake ice cream in a cone WOW !!! amazing. Hubby had the blackberry custard crumble and said it was that good he almost went in for another one !!!. I can't recommend this place enough. Go try it you won't be disappointed.

The only reason I'm giving five stars is because I can't give six, or maybe seven. This is the best ice cream I've ever eaten outside Italy - I tried six or seven flavours over the course of a week to see which I liked best but couldn't decide so I'll have to go back to try again.

Called in for an ice cream on a days visit to New Quay having remembered how good they were on our last holiday in the area 4 years ago and we were not disappointed. We had sugar cones which were fresh and crisp filled with two flavours of ice cream - the hardest part was deciding which two flavours to have out of the vast tempting range. In the end I opted for the award winning sticky fig and honeycomb and salted caramel, and my husband chose the jaffa cake and bounty...I dont think there are enough adjectives to describe how gorgeous all the flavours we had were but put simply they were delicious and to die for. Well worth a visit and a must for any ice cream lovers...which we are. Just can't wait for our return visit and to sample some more flavours.

Went here on a busy sunny afternoon. Not surprisingly there was a bit of a queue. However there were loads of staff and we weren’t waiting long. The ice cream and cones were delicious. A wide range of traditional and exciting flavours available, e,g. Apple & blackberry crumble and custard, a multi coloured unicorn flavour and flavours similar to popular chocolate bars. Great location right opposite some benches where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream looking over the bay. Highly recommend a visit here.

Been popping in for soya cappuccinos and ice creams for the family all this week. Fantastic friendly service and the coffee and ice cream are just outstanding. Love this place. :)

What a choice of Ice-Creams! From a cornet to a double size tub. Absolutely beautiful. Our favourites were the Raspberry Ripple and Eaton Mess - with real fruit.

Visited while we were wandering around New Quay. Service was excellent, the choice and quality of gelato was great. We also had an allergy sufferer with us and very good advice of what we could and could not eat was provided.

We visited here on two occasions during our lovely break at New Quay during the October half-term break. When we visited plenty of choice was available bearing in mind it was coming to the end of the season.

Where do I begin, I enjoyed the MilkyBar Ice-cream so much I went back and had another. I only had a single scoop but there was so much it lasted me a while. Very friendly staff too.

We love the ice cream here and the potions are HUGE. The only problem is there are so many flavours its hard to choose.

Good gelato. However the banofee pie was lacking banana flavour. I had actually had a banoffee ice cream from a stall at narberth food festival the day before this one. But cannot remember the stall name. However it has more flavour than this one in new quay.

A great range of ice creams to choose from, I can fully recommend the lemon cheesecake and my husband rather enjoyed his rhubarb and custard cone. By far the best ice cream I’ve had in the UK.

Always busy and always a great selection of sorbets and ice creams containing family favourites like Jaffa Cakes, Oreo's, Salted Caramel Popcorn, Rolo ... and so the list goes on. We visit every time we are in the area and my latest choice was a rather indulgent and grown up bailey's flavour ... Mmmmmmm.

I been there 4 times the last 2 years and the ice cream is stunning the staff are allways polite and chatty I strongly recommend anyone down this way gives it a try

So much choice at this ice cream shop! Every flavour of ice cream you could imagine and more plus sorbets. I had the Ferrero Rocher and the BlackBerry Pavlova., both of which were so good. I definitely recommend at least one visit if you go to New Quay.

Seriously think twice before you go in here. It's lethal to your waistline. This has to be the best of the best ice cream parlours ever in the UK. The flavours are amazing and you can mix them too! flavours like ferrero rocher, creme egg, bubblegum, there's just so much to choose from! the staff are lovely and welcoming and patient as it takes a while to choose what you want. In short never ever go to New Quay without stopping off here for your ice cream....even if it's a cold, wet and windy day!

After enjoying great fish and chips at the Lime Crab we needed something sweet and tart to clear the palate. So many quirky wonderful flavours to choose from. My girlfriend had one scoop of jaffa cake and one of BlackBerry pavlova. I also had the BlackBerry and a scoop of blackcurrant sorbet(So tart and delicious). Wonderful locally made creamy gelato. Go on treat yourself
