Counter's in Warrington

We came here to spend our buyagift voucher on afternoon tea, and were not disappointed with our choice. Lovely cosy atmosphere and very pleasant staff, who attended to us and made our afternoon special. The tea itself was superb, freshly made, and most importantly, it tasted fantastic. Special thanks to Evie, who made sure that everything was perfect.

I took my husband for an afternoon tea at this lovely little place. It is quaint, serves lovely food, the staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble, couldn't have done more to give us a lovely experience. Booked through buy a gift as it was a present but can go directly through them.

Incredible vegetarian full breakfast. Probably the best i have ever had in any hotel. Crispy halloumi, perfectly runny poached eggs, tasty sourdough and great presentation.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon, everyone really friendly. Great selection of beers, the food was the best food I’ve had in a long time, I can’t stress how good it was! And an amazing cappuccino to top things off! 10/10 would recommend highly

I’ve been to Meridian twice this weekend, both Friday and Saturday evenings, both times the food, service and atmosphere were absolutely amazing! Live artists on both nights, giving it a really intimate feel The food is stunning, duck bao buns and beef tacos were a particular highlight, and we had people with allergies/vegetarians in our group, and both felt more than catered for with plenty of choice! Cocktails are fab! Would highly recommend Meridian for a lovely catch up with friends and family - great addition to Warrington town centre!

Wonderful food and lovely chilled atmosphere. Loads of different dishes on the sharing plates menu cooked to perfection. The 4 plates for £25 is great value. We couldn't finish everything we ordered as there was so much food, but they packaged it up for us to take home. Cocktails are great too. Will definitely be back. Need to sample breakfast and afternoon tea!

Came for dinner with friends on a busy saturday evening, the food was delicious and very generous portion sizes, the beef tacos are a must! Lovely range of cocktails with the specials only £5 each. Great atmosphere with a guitarist playing in the background whilst we ate. Very friendly attentive staff. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful experience! The team were extremely attentive whilst also giving us the space to enjoy company with friends. As dish after dish came to the table, I was wondering how could they top the great tasty dishes we had already eaten! Great presentation and taste! An absolute winner. The portions were a great size, great for sharing or having on your own. There is no fear of going hungry, a fear so many of us have with tapas. I’m also a pescatarian and was given a really tasty selection. I will definitely be going back! Oh and nearly forgot about the cocktails, which I friends truly enjoyed. (I was driving on this occasion) but was catered for well.

First (but definitely not last) visit on Friday with a group of friends & what can I say - we were not disappointed! Lovely atmosphere & staff were fabulous - very friendly & attentive. Great choice of food - we went for the small plates - which were anything but small! There was nothing we didn’t like but we all agreed that the Duck Bao was our fave (Beef Tacos a close second!) Fantastic value too - what more could you ask. Oh & the cocktails were pretty fab too! Already planning a return visit to try the afternoon tea.

I went on opening night, the food was good the service was good, good sized portions. Unfortunately they had no none alcohol beers, I spoke to the manager he said he was working on that. Thanks Jason and staff.

Hours are incorrect. Apparently they are undergoing a change of management and are closing earlier than usual so better check in advance to avoid disappointment.

Booked out Counters for a family brunch the day after my wedding. The staff were incredible! They did everything to tailor the arrangements and menu to what would work for us, and at really short notice. On the day, the food was brilliant and we were made to feel so welcome and comfortable. Can't thank everyone enough for making the morning after our wedding so special!

The old bank is now a smart cafe and hotel!! staff are super friendly and the coffee was amazing! got to nosy around the stunning bankers Hall. Its been beautifully renovated but due to its listed status you may walk past and not notice it as they can't put big signs up outside.

I organised a baby shower in the cafe space here, Leahanne was really helpful and accommodating - especially at late notice. The cafe was a great setting and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks.

A great experience , lovely staff and shout out to the chef , food cooked to perfection . Sumptuous dessert ( cake with cream and fresh fruits ) was to die for . We went for breakfast , thoroughly enjoyed it . Highly recommend it 👍🏻

Really nice atmosphere and great selection of dishes. There are some unusual choices which are well worth trying. I recommend the kemma and cheese toastie which was delicious. My wife had the spinach and mushroom soup which was also amazing. Will definitely be back.

Ladies Who Lunch.. Had brunch at Counter’s with my good friends on Sunday 5th February. The place is beautiful and well decorated! It’s a small but cosy venue! The service was second to none, thanks to Alice and Yaad. The food was absolutely delicious, lovely presented and wholesome, my compliments to the Chef (sorry I forgot to ask for his name)! All in all- great service, delicious food and lovely company! We will definitely keep visiting on a regular basis. Thank you 😊

Had an amazing bottomless brunch to celebrate my 28th birthday. Staff were lovely and so too was the food & drinks. The staff went above and beyond to make it feel like an extra special occasion for myself and my partner. The place itself is very relaxing and has such a lovely atmosphere. I would 100% recommend Counter's to all my friends and family ☺️ Can't wait to come back!

I went with my mum for an afternoon tea and it was lovely. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Staff were very helpful and responsive on all communications I've had via social media and email. We were given a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. Hot drinks were bottomless and the desserts were great.

We visited Counter's for the first time on Friday 17th and took a chance after seeing the menu online. The atmosphere was lovely, the decor was beautiful and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We had the chilli cheese toastie and the vegan breakfast bowl with teas - really tasty food and tasted very fresh. We also appreciated being informed about cooking time as they had minimal staff. Will definitely be back to try again! 😊

Found this cozy and friendly place in Town. The coffee shop it’s not a very big place but the opportunity what they got with the event hall it’s massive. Thanks to Katy, one of the staff we had the opportunity to walk around and have a look inside the hall. She was very passionate about the whole place, it’s great to have staff like her. Will come back for a cocktail as well. Recommend the place. ⭐️

This old bank has been transformed into a great bistro were we had breakfast bacon and sausage on granary which filled me up for the day. The decor in the building especially the main room is stunning. One area for improvement could be having the coffe hotter when served.

Staff were so polite and made our visit extra special... They really couldn't do enough for us x lovely setting for an afternoon treat x

The vibe in counters is lovely, nicely decorated, clean and cosy. The cutlery, cups, glassware were perfect. The event hall is absolutely beautiful as well. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We paid £25 per head for the afternoon tea which we thought was slightly overpriced. Especially since the price didn't include our hot drinks. The canapes were nice and a good starter to the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were all pretty average, ham & mustard, tuna sweetcorn, egg mayo, and cucumber cream cheese. All on white bread. The scones were very dry, hard to cut and not very tasty. The desserts mostly seemed to be ready made. The victoria sponge and brownie seemed homemade but it seemed like we were served offcuts of the victoria sponge. Mocktails were roughly £7 each which we also thought was slightly overpriced for no alcohol. We'd expect to see prices like this in well established venues in a city centre. There is potential for the afternoon tea, but there are quite a few improvements to make.

I met my parents here for lunch to eat indoors post lockdown. It was their 1st day off opening indoors and I really liked everything about it. The atmosphere and service were wonderful and we spoke to the owners who were very keen for feedback as a new business. The food was delicious and I love the lamb keema toasties. It was a really wonderful twist on a traditional toastie. My leek and potato soup was perfect and home made. I think they are going about opening in the correct way; hot and cold drinks and a small but varied menu, which is suitable to everyone. It was also great for my dad who has been in and out of the building a lot when it used to be Warrington bank. He used to transfer cash out of it (no, not a burglar 😂) and was able to tell me stories. Well done and we wish you all the best and will defo be back

Just happened across the place, most amazing experience ever, went in for a coffee came out with a selection off toasties too, staff are amazing, you can tell they genuinely love the place. The food is delicious, and the coffee is perfect. We Will definitely be repeat customers.
