Coulsdon Memorial Ground in Croydon

The park has been left to become overgrown. The grass areas are rarely cut. While good for wildlife, not good for it's primary purpose. The paths and the war memorial are covered with weeds. While it should be visited, protests to the council should be made.

Quiet and pleasant for dog walking

Council make you pay to use tennis courts! Hardly ever used by anyone. Sport for everyone? LTA "play your way" but ONLY if you pay! Croydon Council 'Delivering for Croydon '.........delivering EMPTY COURTS. No Englishman has won Wimbledon for 90 odd years, I wonder why.....?

Eating home cooked Thai food from poppys cafe and looking over the park doesn't feel like eating out.

Lovely local park, very close to Farthing Downs. Good parking, nice cafe and lots for the kids.

Great park to relax and enjoy walking

Nice, friendly cafe. Excellent bacon and egg sandwich - brown bread, salad on the side. Tempted to try the Thai food on my next visit. Small but well equipped park in bowl of surrounding hills.

Good place to throw ball for dogs. Lovely cafe. Very clean.

Great for dog walking, playing tennis and basketball. The playground is very outdated and not kept in good condition, we won't be visiting again.

Great Park, lovely friendly staff at Cafe and can play loads of sports there..

First class the putting and bowls great. Sadly cafe doesnt open on Monday and Tuesday's.

Lovely park, with play area, fitness machines, large putting course, bowling green plus nice cafe. Just a pity that the council have stopped maintaining the putting & bowling and is now done by a group of volunteer locals

It's great, there is a small bar, area, grass and swings for little ones and not so little ones 😜🤪

Undoubtedly, a big part of Coulsdon community. Great local park for everyday use. We'll maintained and great atmosphere which comes from the community using the park.

Nice park with plenty of playground equipment for the kids and a nice cafe

Not a bad park. The car park is a bit small and the play equipment needs a refresh but there’s a nice cafe and toilet block available. There’s a war memorial there with names of Coulsdon men that fell in the wars. Big grass slope in the park is good for sledging when it snows.

Nice park with a few kids play areas and basketball and tennis courts as well as a cafe on site making it a nice place visit and pay your respects to the people of Coulsdon who gave their lives for the country.

Clean n well maintained for children

great fun for all ages, top playground has a zipline, middle has swings, bottom has like an obstacle course

The park was clean, toilets available, cafe & ice cream Parlor also available. The park is on a hill however the bottom does have a number of benches and flat area for sun bathing. Outdoor static fitness equipment also available.

Nice place. I go there frequently as it is nearby me. Feel free to move around in fresh air. Many people and children play football, tennis and do exercise. You can also have ice cream or coffee in the small cute shop. Love this place

Lovely traditional feel to this municipal Park. I took my two year old grandson to the toddlers' playground. Not as well equipped as the one in Old Coulsdon, but good for 15 minutes or so.

Really lovely open grounds with a gentle slope, perfect for sleighing when snowing or picnics in the summer.

This is a big area with possibility to do picnic or play football, do exercises on the green area and for children is lot of playground area as well. After you enter the park on the left side is starting and if you go up and up on a little hill is more playground for little and bigger children too. I gave 4 stars because sometimes is quite messy around the playground . People traw their rubbish from fast food and whatever close to the bins but not in the bin. Today there were 2 bins close to each other and the rubbish was between the bins on the ground. Parking places are available on the site . Around 10 cars is the capacity of it. It is a cafe too where you can buy juices, coffee and snacks too.

since its a memorial ground you'd think there are dead people buried there. idk maybe there are but it's a sick add park. it's got a very fun zipline some small parlour sorta bits a big swing a small swing loads a cool stuff all in all very nice place Also no dead people there as far as I know

A nice big park. They have a basketball court, a tennis court, a toddler/ baby playground and two other children play areas. They also have two car parks, but they get filled up very quickly, so it is best to walk there if you can.

Nice to get a take away coffee but really not an ideal place for pushing a wheelchair. I thought the path would be just about ok despite the hill but the camber as well made it really difficult. Then on reaching the top, had to turn round and come back as there were steps you can't see from the bottom. Good that the toilets were open.

A lovely park. Excellent for kids, all ages - there are different playgrounds on the left up to the top. A nice memorial right at the top with stunning views. There's some courts up there too. There are some outdoor gym equipment to use. Good for buggy walks ( just mind a step on the hill, by the memorial. You can easily go around on the grass). Perfect in any weather.

Great park, however croydon council should fix the potholes near the entrance as kids and adults have tripped in them due to their big size and resulted in injuries. There’s also room for future additions such as a skate park. Only downsides are the potholes

One of the best parks around. Loads of facilities and a large amount of green space. Cafe is fantastic too. Only loses a star due to the appalling state of the toilets

Nice place to take kids.. it’s uphill so a good run around. The playground is ok. Good mix of people which is nice.. you’ll see lots of people of differing abilities doing exercise which is huge refreshing.

Great park, has three separate play areas (one for balancing & climbing, one for younger children & one for older children) large green space & the lovely Poppy cafe which also does great Thai food. Toilets & some limited parking

Great for my dog walk, small cafe on site. Pets welcome.

As always the cafe and the staff very friendly and service very good. However walking round there is alot of broken glass and as we were walking our new puppy that was not good we had to carry him alot because of this. Also the football was going on and all of the car spaces were taken up by this they had no consideration for others.

Great place to spend a couple of hours. Carpark is tiny but there are plenty of places to park within a couple of minutes walking distance.

Great park, great cafe, sat and relaxed had drinks and food, while the kids ran round and went in the different play areas. Toilets quite clean, no toilet paper but luckily we took our own !

Please don't leave litter in bags by bins foxes scatter the contents , terrible mess again today. Put rubbish in bin or take it home.

Great place for kids of any age. As there are play areas for them. Park always clean and tidy. There is a cafe. Also a putting green and Bowls green

Lovely views & facilities - though in view of the very poor wet weather conditions we didn't see much. A good choice to half the planned distance for a bike ride and then return home.

2 car parks, good cafe with friendly staff, hill to roll or scoot down, tennis courts, 3 adventure sets for after lockdown. Boy loves the 'hill park'

What can I say. When İ go there I am feeling relax. You can play, football, basketball or you can walk or running good park for everyone.

I volunteer at the bowling green and also use the park with my daughter. I could only just get the car in the car park as it was full. There was no one else in the park apart from the cafe staff! I have observed commuters parking in there every day to the detriment of bona fide users. Please put up a notice to this effect with a three hour limit and police.

Fantastic park which has activities for all ages, including 3 play grounds, exercise equipment, large grass area for sports, putting and bowling greens, tennis and basketball courts. Topped off by great cafe that does Thai food!

The park itself is great. However my 3 kids were attacked by a dog whose owner thought it was fine to take it off its lead. This led to me nearly murdering him and his dog. Looking around I could see many kids and dogs off their lead and no enforcement to stop this. It a good experience

Great little park with playground for the little kids, free tennis courts, outdoor gym equipment, pitch & putt and a bowling green. Small charge for the last two but the volunteers are lovely and there's a nice little cafe for a snack afterwards. Parking restricted but on-road parking is available if you go left and take the first left.

This is a good local park. There are recreation grounds for younger and older children. Plenty of room to run around and play football or games. You can take a picnic or use the cafe.
