Went to Costa, they lost my sandwich seemed very confused on how to run a coffee shop. Leaving food to get cold, rushing drinks and not having any training on how to make them.

I am a handicapped Blue Badge driver who parked in the required Blue Badge parking and displayed my Blue Badge as required @ 12.20hrs. I ordered my requirements over the counter and attempted to log in my vehicle registration. I was informed vehicle login at Costa's Parkingeye was again still down. I queried the login dysfunction and was advised Parkingeye were advised of network break down and there was no need to worry as no action was being taken by Parkingeye until the problem was sorted. I left Costa's @ 15.10 pm. 2hours 49mins less than the required 3hour permitted. On 2 September Parkingeye Costa's sent to my abode Fine of £100 parking charge fee. I have previously paid a £60 fine as a pensioner on War Disability trauma which was paid through stress caused as a disabled person. I also frequented every Friday Costa's Christchurch to meet halfway family members which involved 5 persons and I always paid for services from my credit card. Ref 107909/986863 being the fine reference #. I took the verbal instructions from staff at the counter and continued my less than 3 hour stay with family. I have appealed the £100 fine on the basis as a miscarriage of justice as I have done no wrong, but obey Costa's staff instructions that Parkingeye login was down. As an ex employee of a legal firm I understand the miscarriage caused to me and embarrassment caused to my person. It appears there is little or no concern even when confronting management at Costa's Christchurch when I again went in to complain on the 6 September. Its a case of Hi way robbery by Parkingeye @ Costa's Christchurch. Hopefully i would appreciate attendance to my concern.

Felt untidy and unclean when entering. Staff visually uninterested and snails pace attitude. Not one smile. Won’t be returning. Had to wait for 15mins for coffee when the queue was not that long. My daughter said it’s the slowest pace coffee shop she’s ever been to. Management need to sharpen up this establishment all round.

Food price is extortionate as is the coffee. They don't come and clear your tables for cups and plates even when you go back to order more things so everything piles up. You have to enter your reg now to stay longer but last 3 times I have gone to meet a relative their parking system has been down and we have always verified about the parking and all times they including manager have said parking eye have been informed so no parking charges will be given and then a few days later a PARKING FINE comes through your door.

A stock check is not done thoroughly enough so they run out of the items wanted when ordering, and the cafe itself is dirty and not keep clean, it's a shame as this costa has the potential to be very good, just run badly by management!

Absolutely brilliant café. Come for the coffee and stay for the under-appreciated staff who, if you are stupid enough to get stuck in a drainpipe, will rescue you and put you in a cardboard box with some water while they call a vet.

AVOID IF YOU DON’T WANT A £100 PRIVATE PARKING CHARGE FOR OUTSTAYING YOUR WELCOME! Myself and a friend got landed with a £100 parking charge for overstaying a mere 10 minutes. You’re meant to put your car reg in at the til in Costa but they don’t tell you this and when I emailed their head office they weren’t interested, siting it’s nothing to do with them - even though the machine is in their shop! Myself and my friends will now support other businesses when we catch up, in a place we’re not penalised for doing so! Good customer service Costa….!

I have been going to this Costa for close to a year most weekends, I have never had a bad experience while visiting this particular Costa and feel like it's the best one in the Christchurch area. Staff are all friendly to talk to and keep the place tidy as best they can, would recommend this Costa over any nearby hands down the best I have been to.

My children and I love going to this place after shopping at Aldi. In fact it’s very close to a lot of huge shopping stores. Macaroni and cheese is very popular with kids-Tastes really good! Chairs are comfy and there are enough spaces to move around. Tables and chairs are also available outside + enough parking spaces. Also have a drive through service. I can pop in there before going to Avon beach which is not far! Last but not the least, the staff are lovely. I mean what more can you ask for?

Was met by a very rude staff member who complained that I ordered a drink at 7:40pm and googled the closing time and that said 8pm so had 20 minutes spare but didn’t realise after 7 it’s only drive thru only but no where says that just had bad attitude from a staff member instead

I’ve been a couple times with my dad, but never myself gone in to order myself, as we usually walk up in the nice weather. Went in today and was greeted by the rudest lady, I don’t care to even learn her name but she was on the larger side and was wearing glasses, I’ve ever met before very uppity and better-than-thou attitude and kicked me and my registered medical animal out before I could say anything. And I cannot deal with confrontation so I just went along with it. And later had a bit of a cry in the seating area. Luckily it quietened down and I went in to order and left him outside with the dog I had originally left outside and ran in. I was served by this lovely man named Ben. Made it worth it. To see actual kind staff working here as I have been believing all this time. Hopefully I never see that lady again. Otherwise great establishment to go for a drink in the sun as the seating is seeming to always be in the sun.

Arranged to meet a work colleague, charge the car and have a coffee and cake. The charger I was at stopped working so had to move and start again. I had no idea there was a time limit on the car park and have now been charge £60 parking fine by a third party car park company!!!! This ios not the way for Costa to encourage customers in, I will not use this location again.

Expensive £100 sting in the tail parking if you exceed 1.5hrs in there, which we did by 10mins (we ate, drank and chatted). That's two long term customers (and families) of Costa saying adios (Costa say it isn't anything to do with them though of course). Hopefully, this review saves someone else stress, £££ and hassle. None of the other areas of Somerford retail park have parking restrictions - don't caught get out too. As Costa's go - usual fayre and friendly service at this one.

This is a lovely spacious Costa with both indoor and outdoor seating plus a drive thru with customer parking, they sell a wide range of both hot & cold beverages, plus various sandwiches & paninis as well as a selection of delicious looking cakes & pastries, I found both staff members who took my order of a medium cappuccino with a slice of biscotti cheesecake on the till, plus who made my drink to be very welcoming and friendly. My review should of been 5 stars but sadly my slice of cheesecake was very warm & rubbery but my drink was made to perfection, I can't wait to return when I am next in the area.

Staff were courteous enough, so hence the 3 for atmosphere. But it was pretty filthy in there today. None of the tables wiped, litter and food on the floor everywhere. But to top it off today, my husband desperately had to use the loo. He used the words "I am bursting" before he went to get in the queue and was waiting patiently. One of the toilets was out of service, and the only toilet in working order was disabled accessible. After my husband had already been waiting a few minutes, a disabled person in a wheelchair and her family joined the queue behind him. The gentleman in her party was adamant that they should have priority over my husband, and was speaking argumentatively with him. My husband explained there is only one loo available. The gentleman insisted that the disabled person should get priority. He decided to validate himself and prove his point by asking staff if they should get pushed to the front of the queue. According to him, the staff member he asked said the disabled person should get to cut the queue. In my mind, disabled accessible doesn't mean disabled reserved. IF there is only one toilet, and there is a line for that toilet, everyone waits. This is common courtesy. Also, my husband would have been very quick in there. Whereas transferring from a wheelchair onto a toilet takes a lot of time. My husband was in urgent need of the loo, and as far as we are aware, the disabled lady did not have an emergency requiring priority. But my husband gave in, and let her go first. When my husband came to explain what happened, I was shaking my head in disbelief. And the gentleman in their party then walked over to where we were sat, to start an argument with us, I think because I had shook my head. We did not engage with him at all at that point, not even a word. We decided to leave the Costa at that time even though we had planned to enjoy our time sat there. We transferred our drinks in mugs into Take away cups, and my husband had to wait until we got home to use the loo. Luckily he was able to hold it. Bottomline...1) Costa please fix your other toilet so situations like this do not arise. 2) Costa, until you do have more than one toilet, please do not validate customers who think that because they are disabled they automatically get to cut the queue for the toilet. And 3) for everyone, just because you or someone in your family has a disability, it doesn't give you the right to be rude. Common courtesy should still apply. Keep in mind, you do not know what other people might be going through. That other person you assume is able bodied might have an invisible disability that you are not aware of.

A great local place to have coffee and cake, lovely staff and good service, however since having the air conditioning fixed 3 weeks ago it's like walking into a fridge. Certain tables in the the place you find a definite breeze down the back of your neck like sitting in a wind tunnel. There seems to be a fixation about air conditioning but when it's blowing a hoolie outside and it's raining, we don't need it. When you mention it to the staff they just say we're hot round here, not my problem I'm the paying guest. I don't want to wear a coat indoors and neither does anymore else that are also complaining.

I had a 2 packs of foods from other shop but not intended to be eaten in Costa instead just having a sip of coffee for refreshing and immediately a rude staff asking us to move out from their place and the unfinished large cup of coffee should be consumed outside, what a ridiculous policy they have.

Its a new Costa, its a large shop, very bright and clean. All the staff are polite. I have marked down this branch by one star and the food by two stars, as they rarely have the one and only (chicken & bacon) gluten free sandwich in that they offer. Also, sadly, they only have one (chocolate brownie) gluten free cake for celiacs to chose from. To only offer one sandwich (and not all Costas even have the sandwich in) and one cake is really limiting for all Celiacs. Surely as its 2023, something can be done about this poor choice????

Generally very good but today was poor. Young girl took order then started chatting and laughing with other staff. Eventually put item in toaster, started chatting again then eventually pressed the start button, walked off ignoring the the rest of the items for toasting. On handing over food and drink spoons missing, napkins missing. Just a total lack of concentration. As it's Christmas I managed to avoid explaining the error of her ways!

Waited for ever to get a coffee. More staff than customers. How can it take 6 people to make coffee that slowly. I had my dogs outside as well. Needs sorting out. The Manager didn’t show her face as the queue got bigger. It’s a huge place but they can’t get the drinks out.

Excellent service, friendly staff and a lovely fish pie. Food is hot too Update July 2024: I believe it will not be a restaurant anymore, just servicing the attached hotel only so check before you go.

Came here to get dinner with family, really really disappointed. What they have done is bought a load of Iceland frozen pizzas, stuck a handful of extras on the top and decided that charging £10-12 each is reasonable. Complete con operation, got “bruschetta” which was a slice of toast with cold tinned tomatoes on top which we paid >£5 for. How this place has been open for so long I have no idea, manager/owner was very brash when asked about orders, the waitresses were nice though.
