Costa Coffee in Hyndburn

A regular visitor here, and it shows! Staff know my preferences and are also super friendly. They are fab with my children and always keep them involved in orders to make them feel a part of the conversation. They never make you feel rushed, and definitely have a personal feel to their customer service ALL the staff are brilliant

Came here today with the wife and kids. The lovely gent Taaha was extremely patient with us, as my wife is really picky lol and also has a stutter, he also gave us great recommendations and made us our drinks. This boy deserves a gold medal! ps I am not a bot, was just really happy from the service I got from here.

I have started going to Costa Coffee Drive thru at the Peel Centre Retail Park over the past couple of weeks. I needed a choice of decaf options due to cutting down on caffeine. Although not the cheapest coffee in town I do love the decaf latte(not tried any other ones yet but will get round to it) The added bonus is all the super nice staff at every visit I have interacted with so far...this does make a difference to my day and gives me a nice boost to have a lovely interaction with people who are happy to serve you a lovely coffee...Thankyou😀

Hands down the best Costa in Blackburn. The staff is lovely, friendly, polite and attentive. I sometimes go there after work and I always have a nice experience.

Came in today and was served by a girl with dark hair and glasses, think her name was rumerah , I was waiting at the till for what seemed like forever, while she continued to clean and just look like she didn’t want to be there. She was very rude to her colleagues too and just not a very nice atmosphere when I’m sitting in. A shame really, as when you come in with any other staff, they’re really pleasant and chatty.

Only 5hing about Costa is the food is very expensive but staff very nice and pleasant 😀

ordered via just eat they rang me to say no sausage and i should cancel but then they posted it was delivered and we didnt get anything

Expensive, but nice to treat yourself once in a while to a commercial cuppa. Warehouse standard roast beans, frothy milk, usual snajjazzles of whatever they have going. Seasonal favourites. The autumnal "maple latte" for me has been a stand out cup of ethically questionable milky coffee. Mmmm. Food's not bad either. It rivals Morrisons from the cafe menu items but charges a lot more. Is the food worth it? Definitely 🚫 not. Is it nice? Yes of course. Treat yourself a little..just don't be too disappointed and understand that people who spend a lot of money at places like this haven't had proper brews in their lives, quite possibly, I'm speculating. Companies like this have got us by the balls because of our love for a foreign bitter roasted bean from an Andalusian culture 👊🏿 like I said nice to treat yourself a little 😉

Visited for coffee once more as this is one of my all time favourite Costas. Shabana and Sarah who were looking us today are an ace barista team, chatty, friendly, always smiling and both make great coffee. A great place to while away an hour drinking coffee. Always has plenty vegan options which is another bonus.

The worst latte i have ever had, tasted awful like hot water with a hint of flavour. Also, there are no gluten-free options for lunch.

It was OK for a Costa but the toilets were a little worse for wear and took a while to be served in store with the drive through being busy.

Just wanted to write a quick review to say thanks to the amazing staff working this Saturday morning. I'd just sat down with my order when I received an emergency call and had to leave. The staff gave me disposable cups to transfer my drinks to and hot food pouches for the cheese toasties. Thanks guys and keep up the good work 👏

As I approached the door 1 customers before me were let in but then I wasn't. I was told inside was closed but as I drove around to the drive through I could see the 2 customers were being served. Not good.

The girls weren't interested in rushing to serve us, and seemed to be more interested in rushing us out of the door to close earlier. The shop looked scruffy and short of a good dusting and sweep round. The outside looks neglected with litter bins overflowing. Not a good look even if you're going for a quick coffee.

Do not go to this Costa after 6pm as the doors are shut . Its ridiculous

Always a pleasure having a coffee here. Service is fantastic and food is always good! Thanks to the kind welcoming staff who was so welcoming to my toddler aswell. You deserve a promotion! I recommend mozzarella and tomato panini (it’s not on the recommendation list below for some reason)

Sunday morning staff were excellent, sometimes found the smoothies to be quite thick but they'd took the time to blend it properly. Food and drinks were hot and service was speedy

Having to wait at the Drive Through ordering point for 5 minutes until someone took my order wasn't good at all. (I was at the front of the queue) Of course the staff can only do so much at once, but they must have been very short staffed.

need more staff, the drive thru is always closed. What’s the point of having it?

Went today to have a meeting, breakfast wraps are really nice, had multiple teas 😂, power at most tables to charge my lap top, no time limit on the stay either. Friendly staff. Thankyou

Staff talking to each other and not concentrating on the job in hand . The order was not right and the drinks didn't taste like they do from my local Costa Very disappointed ☹️

Over-priced snack food of poor quality and then have the cheek to charge for a dribble of sauce. Toilets were filthy, staff not particularly helpful. Never again will I go in a Costa

Poor Service . Costa tou need to sort service like this out. 20 mins before closing at 530 , told I could only have a takeaway cup, made to feel I couldn't sit in . Toilets dirty , lots of litter outside . . Won't be going back

Opening hours are different from showing on Google. Opening everyday at 7AM not 6:30AM.

Disgusting customer service, woman’s headset wasn’t working tried to place order but she couldn’t hear us so drove round to place order, woman named Humerah was rude and said ‘I was speaking to you’ in a stern tone she then walked away from the hatch without taking our order when she came back she took order I pressed costa app to use my rewards she scanned it twice and took payment without saying anything. When I looked on the receipt I had been charged for 2 coffees and 2 baps all separately. I asked why I had been charged and she said there’s nothing she can do she then walked away laughing with the other staff members. I asked another member of staff what she was called as I was going to make a complaint. Terrible Costa won’t be using this one again.

Told they close at 6.30 - although they usually close at 7. And the website says 7...

The opening hours for in store and drive through have changed from 6am to 7am *** Lots of places to park and the drive through is pretty obvious so you can't miss it :) The staff are really friendly and are always happy to help and recommend expecially when I don't know what I want to drink!! They are really helpful as they write down the name of the drink on the lid which is really helpful.

Went for a cappo Sunday afternoon pleasantly busy,staff work very hard and are friendly,great service,and decent selection of sandwiches,wraps and toasties and lots in the cakes and biscuit department for the sweet toothed ppl.Nice atmosphere.Pricey but worth it.

Absolute s***e, shuts early and throws customers out during the day with the excuse not enough staff. Used to use Costa nationally and built up loads of reward points, until they changed the conditions. But won’t be going out of my way to patronise in the future. If you want to a meeting place for work or social with a coffee and cake find a real Cafe where customer service means something and it’s not a rip-off.

Warm and cosy coffee shop. Perfect place if you want to have a coffee on your own or you want to have a catch up with your friends next to a delicious hot chocolate and now they have the festive drinks. Highly recommend

Only popped in for a drink and use toilets. Staff really helpful and carried my tray to table as I'm in a sling.

Should change the opening hours. According to website opens at 6:30 but when I go at 6:45 or 7, drive thru still closed and doors are locked 👍🏼

Great place for lunchtime coffee

This is just a Costa “hidden gem”, so many drive past, lots drive-through but few come inside for the warm comfy seats within. (I probably won’t get a seat next time I’m there now!!)

Regular visitor, quite busy. Not the full 5 stars after seeing flies walking over uncovered cakes and when highlighted to person who served us didn’t seem to bothered. Person served after us mentioned it too.

Were only 4 cake options, my Dad went without as no less sweet option, like carrot cake.

For one reason or the other, this coffee shop has got my drink wrong almost every times. In 14 years of being customer of Costa, I had to make a complaint twice and both times it was this branch.

Went with my grandson on a Sunday afternoon. Good little visit. Staff were friendly and service was good

It's a question 'who is working today' sometimes you will get an average customer service then days (like today) a very poor one .. miserable staff, rubbish still in tables from the night before and a 'not so good latte' there are times when they open late (9am) and not 7am but that's not the fault of staff. At least the kind lady offered me a coffee from the serving hatch. It's becoming a laughing stock now so be aware.....

Shop was closed due to only one member of staff only drive thru available

Headed to work, I see one car at the window already, got time for a coffee great stuff ! So I pull round and place my order, there is a little wait , still no stress, the customer Infront pays , wait a little longer , still no stress! 5 or 6 drinks handed over, that explains the wait , still no stress! Customer in the car strikes up a conversation with the guy hanging out the window, minutes or so passed, starting to feel a little rushed, then I see a drink put down behind the guy hanging out of the window, my drink , at this point the clock really starts ticking, not 100% but pretty sure it took a further 4 mins for the conversation to end ... Sadly I am all out of time for buying and drinking coffee before work! But I am glad they took the time to have a lovely conversation!

Really slow at serving compared to other costa stores. Waited over 2 mins just to be asked what I wanted despite no queue .I find the staff don't have any warmth to them when serving.

Love this place. Good service, friendly and efficient staff and a great choice of hot and cold food and drinks.

Terrible experience at Blackburn. Officious over bearing -"rules are rules" - staff. We walked out. I can just about cope with being asked to sit outside if that's what is needed to make people feel safe but not doing track and trace for the privalige of it. My money is better spent elsewhere. Somewhere, where we are made to feel welcome rather than unwelcome.

Sign on door says drive through closes at 8pm. Closed at 6.52pm. Called the phone number and no answer even though there were staff inside.

Called at 8am . Says open from 7 on website. Knocked on the door to ask what time they were opening as the sugn on the door also said open from 7.. I was looked at and ignored. Whilst I was sat there.. they must have missed out on over 15 sales .. maybe should have put a note on the door to say what time they were opening. By 8.15 I gave up and went to Starbucks instead.

One member of staff who I she had not covered her name badge up I would most definitely put her name on here for sure..... NEVER meet anyone sooooo rude....to staff and CUSTOMERS.... Needs to learn some customer service....

Reasonable brew though not as good as other Costa coffee shops I'm aware of, of two coffees of four bought for me and a friend the first was tepid though the second better. As said there are better Costa coffee shops about. Staff are there but not over delighted to help, sir had to ask for chocolate on my cappuccino being just one gripe. Let's say it might not have been the best experience I've had at all, maybe just a not the right day... Pervious visits have proved considerably better I should add. Equally toilets not fantastic, other Costa outlets have this sorted and the collection of expired cups cutlery equally not removed rapidly. Overall, must try harder. Your not a cheap brew £16+ for me and a friend to feel just ok isn't good enough. Boxing day 2021 stop off, still not the cleanest debris in many places on floor and windows, leaves lots to be desired. The brew, that was fine, no serviettes given with drink, staff uninterested getting the cake I ordered wrong. Not fantastic..!

Was told to just clear the dirty table myself and the cafe was full literally had people on every table. Got our order wrong think the lady couldn't hear properly. Waited a far time to get my missed ordered hot drink. The gent behind me was also disappointed too, by the time i got my HOT drink it wasn't so hot. The costa next in the retail park is way better.

Appalling experience at this costa. I’m a huge fan of costa in general and have a lovely time at the one in Blackburn mall however this is my first time in this one and have been let down hugely. The customer service was disgusting, my drink tasted like boiled water, we weren’t allowed the usual cups to sit in with we had to have takeaway cups. The only adequate part of this was the assistant manager maddie who was very calm and understanding. I am not happy and will not be attending this costa under any circumstances again. This place leaves a bad reputation for the costa chain.

The person who took our order asked if we wanted cream on top but then forgot it. There were lots of empty tables that needed clearing and wiping down that were neglected. It's a busy place and I think they might be a bit understaffed. Loved the coffee and the little star design was a nice touch.

Absolute disgusting. Water was all over in tray I was served, I asked for tissues and server put it in tray which was full of water, I asked other staff to change it she said it’s only from the tap like what!!! Tissue is supposed to be used to clean and how can you clean with wet tissue. Than while eating mosquitoes decided to show up from somewhere. I was trying to get em off food I heard that same lady who said water is from tap saying what did he just do and laughing at me behind my back. Absolute joke, I scanned a promotion and she never bothered to see that I scanned it. Later making excuses saying you never told me this and that. I flipping don’t work here you work your suppose to ask me not me telling you. Better go to Starbucks, more professional and at least they respect their customers. JUST DON’T COME!!!

Lovely hot chocolate, but we were sat in tge corner next to the kitchen and the machines are very noisy!
