Azad Cafe in Hyndburn

Just moved in earlier this year and was looking for a local chippy, well I bloomin found one! Propper chippy with classic menu including potato dabs and propper chippy prices! Also the staff are lovely the young lady that served me was so friendly and chatty I could have stayed and eaten my chips there chatting. Propper chippy propper chippy prices! Will definitely be my monthly take out treat !

Do not answer phone bad service rude

Seems to change its hours of service whenever they like, drive thru closed at 6.30 even though it shuts at 7. Went inside as it was actually still open, informed them that there drive thru speaker plays an automated message that it is closed - heard some mumbling about the headset connection which doesn’t really address the point. Young lad serving was quite polite about it and apologised, young Asian girl not so much. Very much got the impression she didn’t like me for whatever reason and when leaving I simply asked for another cup as it was quite hot to which she decided to give her own narrative about the cups being extra insulated and therefore implying I don’t need one, when I insisted ‘well it’s too hot for me’ she reluctantly added a second cup to reduce the hear on my skin, and then decided to give her unwelcome opinion of ‘just feels the same to me’ with a little a smirk to which my response was some of us have different skin sensitivities. I went to Costa for a drink, the heat from the cup was too hot ‘for me’ asked for another cup as a resolution and ended up with condescending commentary from a very rude girl with a serious attitude problem. As a Blackburn native I didn’t really think Blackburn could be any worse, but I was wrong….. absolute vile attitude and not great for the reputation of Costa in Blackburn.

1st time in here,,and i will be back agsin.really liked it.

Cracking little local very friendly and the beer is alway good. Dog friendly and a beer garden.
