What a fantastic find. I had a lunchtime is it a pitta, is a pizza is it a sandwich type thing (panuozzo) and it was gorgeous. Friendly staff. Clean venue. I’ll go again for sure.

Highly recommend the Napoli, it was delicious. By far the best pizza I've had in the UK. The dough is so well made that I actually finished the crust too which is unusual for me.

Fantastic thing and tasty pizza

This place was great, from the staff to the decor, to the quality of the food - TRY THIS PLACE! We were staying in Carnoustie for a weekend of golf, and we looked for the best rated places fir pizza - Arbroath is 15-20 minutes away from here; but the pizza was amazing, as were the sides, dips and desserts. Can’t recommend this place enough - better than The Rookery (if you’re staying at Carnoustie!)

Pizza was soggy, cheese and sauce slipped off. Ordered a Oreo milkshake that was just basically milk with some chocolate sauce

Truly superb pizza, superbly cooked with great ingredients. A big and pleasant surprise as I didn’t expect to eat the best pizza in years in Arbroath! We’re talking proper pizza as you’d expect to have it in Naples or southern Italy! Worth driving for miles to come to this place! Thanks! Will be back very soon!

What a delight of a restaurant! Very authentic! 5 of us had starters to share and then we each had a pizza each. Every dish was amazing. Arbroath is lucky to have such a cracking place to eat in or get a takeaway. Lovely decor that made us feel very comfortable too. Special mention to George who was very attentive to our needs.

Hidden gem for the town. Up from the South coast visiting family in Scotland we were trying to find somewhere that would be really special for a family meal. This place did not disappoint. Proper Italian pizza with the best dough and crust I've had outside of Italy. The ingredients on the pizza were incredibly high quality too. Proper Italian meats, buffalo mozzarella that was incredibly fresh and creamy, unusual ingredients like truffle that you normally only find in high end restaurants. Nice selection of beers and wine too. The pizza oven here is imported from Italy and it's beautiful. You can watch the pizzas being made from the best table in the restaurant. The restaurant itself is really stunning inside with nice lighting and smart bathroom facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful but just one bit of advice for the young servers you should wait for everyone to finish eating before you start clearing others plates away. I was really surprised that the place wasn't busy on a Friday night. Maybe the location being a bit tucked away. Many thanks and good luck for the future. I only wish I didn't live at the other end of the country but I'm sure my family will be back soon.

Pizzas were lovely as always. Cakes looked so good when collecting we had to have a couple of those as well. Highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of dinning here last night for the first time & everything was perfect from the phone call to book our table to the meal we had & the 5 star service we received ( I can't stress enough how important the service we received from the young man on front of house as he made the dining experience so much better) I had the Black Truffle, Sausage & Mushroom Pizza & as a person that only likes authentic Italian Pizza this did not disappoint & was absolutely amazing & the Chef absolutely nailed it ( I even told him so personally) I can't say enough about the young gentleman that took the booking, showed us to our seat once we arrived then took our drink & food order. He even took the time to engage us in conversation while we waited for our food which only took around 15 mins. The price for 2 pizza, cheesy garlic ( mozzarella to die for ) bread a beer & a cider was only £35 but I had to tip extra for the treatment we received & the amazing pizza we had the pleasure of eating. ( Once we left I called back to get the young gentlemans name so I could mention him personally in this review but the restaurant was closing & he was sadly unable to answer. Just amazing & highly recommended.

Copper Oven provided us with the most delicious pizzas for lunch at my sisters hen! Jamie was fantastic in organising it all for us including delivery especially when we had some last minute changes. The pizzas arrived on time, hot and tasted fantastic! They also paired perfectly with an Aperol! Thank you again!

It's worth traveling a few extra kilometers to come and eat a proper pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven and with the right ingredients (even the broccoli). Well done and keep it up, if we return to the area we will definitely come back!

Little gem in the centre of Arbroath and well worth the travel. Pizzas were perfect, great service and very cool venue. Got the blue cheese dip, which would have been great warmed up to make it hot and runny.

Eaten here a few times, and it never a disappointment, the pizzas are perfect, the dessert are delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, lovely setting with a really nice vibe. If you like traditional made pizza, don't walk by.

Update 16/06/24 Our B&B has around 1000 guests a year, to whom we give recommendations (restaurants and take away). For our guests we ordered 4 pizzas on 16/06/24 at 5:37pm with delivery at 7:15pm - 7:30pm (order number 880793114). The pizzas were delivered at 8:00pm, cold and rubbery! We cannot afford to continue to recommend Copper Oven to our guests. We will remove the business cards from the counter and from the guest information in the guest rooms. If the pizza wasn't so good, I would have given it one star. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Cooper Oven should only offer take away service, as it neglects the guest in the restaurant. We ordered a starter and then a pizza. The starter was forgotten and the pizza more or less slapped on the table. We had to ask the staff for the missing cutlery. The food was very good, but the empty plates were in front of us for at least 20 minutes. We would have liked to order another coffee and dessert, but after 20 minutes we had had enough. As a B&B operator in Arbroath, we regularly pass on restaurant recommendations to our guests. Whether we can continue to recommend the Cooper Oven to our guests, we don't know yet. I've used Copper Oven more than I'd like to admit. At this point a 5-star rating seems low, dine in, take out, delivered this place hits every time! Sapori Del Sud is a personal favourite but if you are feeling spicy, go for the bee sting, wow! Apologies for the half eaten picture, I couldn't bloody help myself! 😋

Always good vibes in the Copper Oven. Foods always banging as well. Can't wait for next time!

An amazing Italian Pizzeria with top of the range products starting with genuine Neapolitan Pizzas and amazing Gelato Artigianale (home made ice cream) The coffee is by far the best in Arbroath and Jamie is doing a great job bringing all the Italian flavors on the East Coast of Scotland. 5* and totally recommended.

Fantastic service and the pizzas were delicious! We needed a size recommendation though on the menu because we have leftovers (though nobody is complaining!)

Had the most amazing lunch here the other day, great portions and food quality, soup and sandwich was reasonably priced and great music playing really made this cosy space a memorable first time in Arbroath.

We went twice. The food and service were both excellent and incredible value for money. This was the best pizza we have had outside Italy.

Food was just a little too salty for my liking. Coffee was really good. The ambiance and behavior of the staffs were very nice.

Spontaneous visit, wee gem in Arbroath. Tasty pizzas. I had a type of toasted sandwich with mozzy melted cheese and salad. Enjoyed the rocket which suited the dish. Very friendly service and a good price for the quality. Will come back

Lovely place to eat. We were visiting Arbroath Abbey and went to Copper Oven. It is beautifully designed and had great food. We had coffee and Pizza. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and arrived quite quickly. There is free parking close by.

I like to think of myself as a bit of a pizza connoisseur as I’ve eaten about 6 million of them in my life. I’d heard great things about Copper Oven and was really looking forward to trying it out. Well safe to say it did not disappoint. One of the best pizzas I’ve had anywhere. I felt like I was back in Naples! If they delivered to Carnoustie I would be having one every weekend. What a place. Had a birthday meal with family great food and some drinks. Sunday afternoon great service and helpful. Pizza 🍕 was excellent. Salads very italian.

Called in for GF pizza and wedges £18. We thought expensive. Arrived very quickly. Was cold very quickly too. Poor coatings, unimpressed!

I took my two daughters on a Saturday afternoon; one loves coffee and both love pizza. The vibe is pretty cool, fake grass on the ceiling, ‘suspended’ bench tables, the kind of stuff my teenage daughter says has ‘great aesthetic’…. We ordered pizza - margarita for my youngest and two Diavolas for us. Awesome. Fresh, tasty ingredients and perfectly baked in the massive, visible ‘copper oven’. Service was friendly and attentive, prices for pizzas were reasonable and I noticed that a bottle of wine for £18.50 seemed good value. This is a little hidden gem that excels in coffee, snacks, light bites and of course, pizza. The only minor issue was they may need to spend more on their electric bill, their is no natural light and it seemed a bit dark to show up the cool….aesthetic….

We ordered pizza for delivery while staying in Kinblethmont House in Arbroath. We wondered if they could cook for over 30 people, but they were so helpful over the phone, and actually delivered pizzas to us out in the country, and made 2 trips! This meant they were hot. The pizzas were great, and very much appreciated including the service. Thank you very much and we recommend this highly!

Was in Arbroath for the first time in ages and needed a pit stop for some coffee and cake. Inside is really modern and fun, decor is great if a little dark for mid day! Cakes were so delicious, staff so lovely and friendly. Will definitely be back for some pizza. Best place I've been in a long time!

We had Copper Oven cater pizza for our wedding and they DELIVERED (not just literally). It was amazing. They batched out 70 pizzas to feed all our guests and everybody LOVED it.

My husband and I wanted to have pizza at our wedding, and Copper Oven really stepped up. They DELIVERED. 70 Pizzas were batched out to our wedding location and it was phenomenal. Everyone loved it. Absolutely would recommend a pizza wedding, and absolutely would recommend Copper Oven as caterer. They were super helpful in the decision-making beforehand, and did excellently on the day.

Food was great but service left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for dessert menu only to be told the didn't have any (although we had seen dessert choices on main menu). Felt like it was an inconvenience.

The smokie has a rival here! Visited from Dundee on the premise that it looked good online. We were right. Absolutely delicious pizzas. Big thanks to the Spanish chef and the friendly manager. Check this place out if you value quality pizza. No bland cardboard pizza bases here and no sign of a pineapple topping. Hurray!!!

Lovely surroundings and spotlessly clean. The food was wonderful and cooked to order by Jamie who obviously loves his job as he seemed to smile all the time. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly. We couldn’t resist the brownies and coffee after our meal and they were the best yet. Needless to say we’ll be back very soon. Thank you all.

Lovely lunch here - the pizzas are fab, including a gluten free base option - although the £3 extra is a bit steep. But this was made up with the toppings that tasted super fresh. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend if you're looking for an easy lunch, particularly pizza! Good gluten free pizza is definitely hard to find but this place does it well.
