Booked my daughter's party here for November. New owners took my deposit however when calling them last few days I found out they have closed and took everyone's money!!!! Shocking! They have not notified anyone so if you have a party booked I would recommend you book something else as families are continuing to turn up unaware it's closed. Hopefully this is reported!!

We were in Hamilton for a day trip, and having been in this cafe before we thought we would go again. This visit was totally different to the first time. Plenty of kids in having a baking experience and although enjoying themselves, one or two of them didn't know how to behave and their mothers were to busy chatting to each other. The lady serving quite often had to swerve round the kids while she was carrying hot food or drinks. Back to the food, this visit I had a BLT toastie, and was quite disappointed, the bread was hardly toasted, very little lettuce and the bacon although edible could have done with another few minutes cooking. My husband had a ham salad sandwich with some more side salad, he had no complaints about his lunch. While I have nothing against the kids having a baking experience, I do think that it should be either during the morning or later in the afternoon, and not during a busy lunch time period. The experience has put us off visiting this nice cafe again in the future.

Brought 2 of my grandkiddies here today & they enjoyed the baking experience. The 2 ladies serving were very pleasant & helpful. The only negative thing I would say is it a very warm in coffee shop & toilet(s) are very cramped.

What a lovely, inviting and friendly atmosphere. I was here for an afternoon tea. I liked the idea of choosing your own Sandwich fillings rather than a small pre picked selection as I have had in previous places. The cakes were amazing and the selection was endless. I would definitely return and recommend this wee place to anyone wishing to enjoy an afternoon tea. X

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Home made favourites including soup, macaroni and breakfast rolls. Love their white coffee but yet to try their home made cakes which look amazing. Would recommend. Not suitable for wheelchairs or some mobility issues as situated upstairs

Only stumbled across this today, and I was only for an espresso but as a guy who can be atrociously snobbish about coffee, one of the best espressos I’ve had in Hamilton if not ever! Lovely atmosphere and very friendly people

This is an absolutely charming little coffee shop which puts me in mind of Madam Puddifoot's in Hogsmeade from the Harry Potter books.Situated next to the back door of Jilts Bar, this is certainly a hidden gem with a very quaint and chintzy atmosphere; the smell of home baking wafting through the place, complete with the sound of the chinking of tea and coffee cups. The French toast with Nutella was delicious, as was the Coopers breakfast which I found cooked to my expectations and substantial to fill me up satisfactorily. Please give this small, independent place a try; it has the soul and character that such places in the town centre like Greggs and Subway etc just cannot and will not ever offer. Support local businesses, particularly charming ones like this.

This was my second visit to Coopers but certainly not as good as my first visit. Its not a greasy spoon but omelette and French toast were swimming in grease as was my sausage and bacon. A little less grease and it would have been more enjoyable. Cakes and coffee were lovely. Would recommend sticking to sandwiches and toasties.

Small coffee shop with a comfy atmosphere light meals available but its for the home baking I go in for I'm not in Hamilton very often but if I'm there and want a coffee its to coopers I make for the staff are friendly and there baking is tasty with decent helping. In addition they do baking classes for simple bakes like scones, I must book one.

As well as having lovely coffee and cakes, they hold super children's classes for art and baking. They have adult sessions too and I attended to learn to bake scones, great fun and educational.

Popped in for lunch with friend however we noticed they had a afternoon tea for two at a very reasonable price so opted for that , very friendly waitress took our order and asked what type of bread we would like also served with homemade scones cream and jam and a selection of delicious home made cakes in fact too much and had a doggy bag to take some home could get as much tea as you liked will certainly return to sample some of their other food which looked tasty

My friend made reservations for a late lunch for three of us during a weekday. Whilst the food was delicious it was a little pricey for what was served - especially given the small portion sizes. Overall the service was friendly, and we did happen to enjoy ourselves. From a personal perspective though, I would say this restaurant is catered more towards an older generation. The atmosphere is very quiet and "proper" - not the sort of place a group of friends can have their yearly catch up.

Treated to afternoon tea by my daughter. First visit and was suitably impressed. The gardens and public rooms have a lovely grandeur. Food was delightful. Would love to repeat the experience.

the best roll I’ve had In years I always think breakfast food is just better at home but I was very wrong, I’m so happy I live so close to this place. The roll was actually so good my boyfriend is heading back round just now for a second one! The member of staff who served us was also so lovely which makes all the difference on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Perfect service in the perfect roll shop!
