Had a lovely time eating here with my little girl, i ordered chicken tikka korma & it was 1 of the best & the perfect portion size. My little girl had chicken nuggets & chips, she enjoyed them too. Sara was our waitress & she was very friendly, chatty & nothing at all was a problem. Sticky toffee pudding was gorgeous, light & homemade. Will defo be back here at jimbu!! 👌👍🥰

The restaurant was very quiet but I put this down to it being newly opened and the time of year. Sara our server greeted us with a smile and asked what we would like to drink and also took our food order she was lovely and very efficient. We were only in for one course to try it out Chicken boons was tasty and cooked to perfection My mother had chicken chasni and also really enjoyed her meal. We are absolutely stuffed and couldn’t finish so have brought it home with us. Thank you and we will return

The best Indian cuisine in the area. We ordered the south indian garlic curry and special butter chicken. Both dishes were super fresh and very tasty! Sara and the rest of the staff were very friendly, great with the kids and delivered a great service.

We were their with my family to have lunch on Friday last week food was amazing and they have bit of everything to offer my kids had pizza and pasta and me and my wife is fan of Indian I choose Rum Rum lamb it was fantastic lamb was so tender and great flavour my wife have butter chicken which was best we ever had as she said. Service was great staff was very friendly and helpful Thank you so much for making our best night. 100% recommended 👌 Can't wait to back soon

Absolute shambles, I've never had a worse restaurant experience than this in my life. I came here alone today, and it beggars my belief how badly this place is run. I looked at their online menu before visiting and saw a dish that I wanted to try (see screen shot attached), but when i came to the restaurant, this dish wasn't on the menu? I then ordered 2 dishes, a lamb dish Jimbu Tava and a vegetable dish, Okra and bread. Ten minutes after I ordered my food, I was told that there's no okra and that someone has gone out to buy some. 1hr plus later, my food arrives, just the okra and bread arrives, but no lamb. I gave it a few minutes to arrive, it never did. When I asked the waiter where my dish was, I was told that that particular order did not go through to the kitchen. I told the waiter to cancel the dish and get me the bill, and upon checking it, there was a mistake there as well, which I politely asked to be rectified. All the while, neither the manager nor owner came up to explain or apologise. The poor water serving me was left very embarrassed. This is very poor. I left the restaurant and went to a nearby supermarket to do my shopping, and I see the manager in there, with a bag full of whole chickens. Guess I wasn't the only one who's food item was not available in the restaurant fridge. An absolute circus.

I dont usually complain but have to write this -the Pakora was completely inedible- it was so tough and burnt I could hardly even tear it in half with my fingers never mind attempt eating it with my teeth, chips were very soggy, and there was a dip missing from the platter of sauces ordered too. Charged a fortune for absolutely rotten/missing food I couldn't eat & had to order something else in its place. Will never use again or recommend. Disgrace even giving food like that to customers to eat.

Been in twice in last few weeks, for curries and kids meals. All excellent. Kids meals are a really good standard. Fresh, light naan bread is great. I had a himalayan chicken curry, quite an unusual spice blend but excellent. We didn't have it but saw the Sunday roast go by and by the looks of it they make their own yorkshire pudding, it looked good so need to try next time.

Visit on Thursday afternoon had an absolutely delicious meal from a la carte menu, my friend and I were having a long overdue catch up we were made to feel welcome and important throughout the 5hours we were there, every member of staff were friendly, professional and welcoming. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Manisha she was a delight such a lovely helpful lady i’m sure she is one of the owners. Thank You All for a lovely afternoon….

Beautiful service, food and atmosphere however very quiet, I honestly don't know how, £25 for two, 3 course lunch and pint of Coke each makes this wee gem of a restaurant very much appreciated for the quality of food served proper portions too will not leave you disappointed.

First time ordering from here, unfortunately disappointed with the food. Chicken pakora was covered in very thick tasteless batter, chicken Bunha was very bland, certainly didn't look like or tasted like a Bunha. Sadly won't be ordering from here again.

Third time in since opened back up and it's just getting better, the location is excellent, the food (Special Curry) is absolutely lovely, the service great and the value is well worth while. Definitely worth a visit.

Ghana hosted us this evening and made for a fantastic evening, will be back next week :)

Slight issue with buffet, but misunderstanding was resolved with some free tomato soup. Our server from Nepal was very accommodating, happy to chat and very friendly. Achari Chicken Tikka was amazing, loved the pickle. Yum, yum. Rice was light and fluffy like it should be. Restaurant was being deep cleaned so visitors were scattered throughout the premises with our seats in the bar. Children's meals at £6 each. Will visit again.

Great meal for my Granddaughters Birthday, the menu is great and varied, the food was fantastic, I would recommend the Biryani, all the staff were very friendly and attentive, highly recommended.

Guy/waiter/owner or watever he was mega rude not sure if he knew where he was. Food was okay. Kids mac & cheese tasted weird.

Another visit to the G & B with friends for dinner, four adults and one child (10/08/23). It's been a while since we'd been, so I was looking forward to my dinner - and wasn't disappointed. Sammy opted for a Rib Eye steak with Brandy sauce, Julie had the Sirloin with peppercorn sauce, Anne the Chicken Highlander, me Roast beef dinner and wee Lexie had her favourite Fish fingers and chips. Every one of us enjoyed our food and would've given it 10 stars if that was possible. Anne especially was delighted with the Chicken Highlander and, although saying she was full, kept going back and eventually cleared her plate. We all had dessert, me at last getting the Sticky Toffee Pudding. The only disappointment being that it is served with ice cream not custard but still gorgeous. The service was great too. We didn't have long to wait before our drinks order was taken, then our waiter took the food order a short time later. Also have to say that I'm pleased that the background music is just that - background. And there's no jazz. Result! Every one of us enjoyed our food and the evening in general. I'm pretty sure it won't be long until we're back for either lunch or dinner. Thank you!

I come here on a weekly basis with my hubby and the odd time with the kids, we fine the staff very attentive and friendly also manager is lovely as well, food is always spot on , the only criticism I have is the price of the curry when you get rice and Nan which comes up at around £20, the manager gave me my rice on the house last time I was in so I thought this was a lovely gesture and he was really nice and chatty, we will continue to come back and enjoy their lovely food and great service , looking forward to the buffet when it opens ☺️

Went here for Father's day lunch with my 2 daughters. Service was good, friendly and polite. Food was cooked fresh and tasted great. Pasta dish and 2 crepè dishes with sides of fries hit the spot with all of us, even had a complimentary father's day drink, just unfortunate I was driving 😂😂 Will definitely be back 👏👏👏👍

Popped in with my mate Craig recently after a mates funeral (Benny Harvey RIP). Brilliant wee place for a bit of banter. Only odd thing was went to open toilet cubicle and it was booted shut as someone was already on the toilet muttering about his “Twitch chat”. Checked it afterward and the locks were working completely fine on the doors. Didn’t detract from it one bit. Great place. Will be back. 👍

Restaurant converted from pub lounge. Under new management and plans underway for buffet in previous bar area and also to menu. Service from Erin exceptional, busy but good at her job, give the girl a raise... Order quickly taken and drinks provided. Food was good homely fair and value for money. No starters but mains portions were good. Husband had the Chilli Ombre fajitas and Highlander chicken, with potatoes and veg, peppercorn sauce for me. Persuaded by Erin to have desserts, 3 scoops of ice cream for husband and caramel apple pie/ice cream for me. On the whole would recommend and visit again but don't know how the changes will pan out. Will revisit again in a couple of months time to find out more.

Was in 28th May won't be back .steak pie was nice but as it was put inside puff pastry it was very dry plus 2 roast potatoes small piece cauliflower broccoli carrot .wife had fish chips ..not nice ..pudding was a laugh ..asked for warm caramel cake with ice cream and 1 with whipped cream they microwaved it so whipped cream had turned into a puddle as did half ice cream ..2 cokes 35 quid absolutely won't be back

Place was empty other than us and a few folk at the bar. The lady that served us was the only good thing we can talk of, polite and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The food however was rubbish. Fish was tasteless and solid as if it was from the freezer, the burger was much like the fish tasteless and like a rubber boot! Sadly will be first and last time at the grill and banter, we loved the velvet bar as food was always great but under new management it wasn't up to much. The polite member of staff is the only saving grace.

First and foremost it took 45 minutes for them to take the drinks order, it then took an additional 20 minutes to take the food order. After having eventually waited a total of an hour and a half we still don’t have our food as I’m typing this, honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve had. Can’t speak for the food quality never got served in the end.

Came to celebrate a christening. Totally unprepared. No draught beers. Fridges not working so no cold drinks. Not enough staff to deal with the function. Toilets not flushing. Manager very rude.

They delivered my husband's starter, nothing for me. They delivered the main meals, mine was wrong, charged me for a bowl of chips while I waited for my meal ( still with no starter so I was starving.) However, food was lovely once it all arrived.

Came here last year with my partner for drinks which were nice but we never tried the food. I came in today to do just that. I had the 3 course business lunch which consisted of Haggis Pakora (upgrade) Shrimp scampi w/ fries and a side salad and ice cream. It was great. Can't wait to bring my husband so we can have a nice lunch together. The staff are really nice and the place was clean! Thank you!
