Andy and Katie are very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. There’s a great knit and natter group, all are welcome in the newly decorated lounge area

The local pub had a bouncy castle that the children loved. The friendly dog that wanted to play ball in the garden was a nice touch too!

There's currently no food butvwhen landlord (Andy) did food it was exceptional! The pub is a great place it's a community place who welcomes all new customers. The owners are very welcoming.

Improving under new stewardship.

A dirty run down pub, the toilets are disgusting and the male cubicle uncleaned and full of peoples excrement where people have not flushed and it's easy to see that it hasn't been properly cleaned for days. A few of the locals were rude and unwelcoming especially a group of males at the end of the bar who thought they were comedians. The young lady who served us was nice and friendly and the beer wasn't that bad seeing as the glass looked worn. This pub lacked paint, nice tables, seats and needs an extreme clean inside and out. Also there were children running around the bar screaming, crying and throwing things like it's a childrens playground. I thought a bar was meant to be a place for adults to relax and enjoy a drink not a childs race track and a place where they can scream, shout and play their games. The lounge would be more suited for this activity. I will not be visiting again as my evening was spoilt by vulgar language, unclean tables and toilets and a bar that is more like a childs playground. Very shocking Marston's you should be ashamed as it is on a nice estate.

Recently hired the pubs function room for my sisters passing out party, it was a great night, perfect size room, the staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much of a problem for them. Would highly recommend this pub and will be back soon!

We used the lounge for a 50th and the staff were so accommodating Andy and Katie made us and all our guests feel so welcome would definitely recommend

Love it here, staff are so welcoming. They have a loyalty card so you get a free beer after you buy six - I don't know any other pubs that do that. Good venue for hiring a function room and I like to go to the poker on a Monday night where you pay in for £5 and you get free food! Bargain.

Andy went out of his way to make something not on buffet as he is a fuzzy eater and didn’t even charge me. Great pub and lovely staff. Good old English pub, can’t beat it.

Best pub in England. Roast potatoes and a cheese board for customers. Plus the landlord, Andrew Gadsby is a really cool guy and also easy on the eye.

The team at the Connie are a treasure, amazing friendly people who can't do enough for you. We had my father in law's Celebration of Life at the Connie and they could not do enough for us and the family and friend who attended. Andy and Katie you are amazing, just keep doing what you are doing, it's brilliant.

A visitor to the Connie for probably 30 of my 36 years with my Dad, they recently hosted his Celebration of Life party on his passing. We couldn't have been happier - Andy & Katie were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond. The bar team were fantastic aswell, always with a smile and kind words, and the whole service made a difficult time a lot easier. Thank you, to each and every one of the staff for your love & light. As a side note, Andys pizzas and freshly made burgers really are to die for!!!

We had a wonderful family Holy Communion event here. The room was perfect size, with doors opening up on the garden. The management were so welcoming and helpful.

We hired the lounge for a family event, the room was perfect for what we required, the host's couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate recommending this venue to anyone. And also a big thank you to the village pantry for a wonderful buffet. Regards Doug.

Decent local boozer, often quiet.

New owners took over and I can say the place is still busy as ever with sports showing on 5 tvs and a local community feel this will be a experience only a lucky few can enjoy

Interesting venue, proper neighbourhood pub feel, with friendly punters. Little run down but to be expected. Looks like maybe new owners or managers atleast, although couldn't be sure, they are certainly atleast trying to bring the venue back to its hey-day. Large sports screen which is always a bonus. Would return.

The new decor is lovely and fresh and gives it a warm feel. The welcome from staff is very friendly and genuine. Tables are a safe distance apart and the room is well ventilated. Looking forward to returning next week! 😁 And thank you to the staff for doing they can. 👍
