Coffee Corner in Wigan

I often come to the Coffee Corner with work colleagues and friends. There are many places we could go in the town centre but this place just has a lovely feel about it. Even when I'm in a rush in the morning before work, they endeavour to provide the best customer service possible. Love this place ❤️

My family and I love this coffee shop! The atmosphere is calm, cosy and relaxing, perfect for lunch and a coffee. Today we hired the shop for a baby shower and this place did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to decorate and move a few tables and chairs to accommodate us all. The food was lovely and everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. I will 100% recommend to anyone! Thank you for having us 🫶🏼

Just bought a takeaway and when I checked the crisp packet I bought was a multipack bag and should not have been sold separately and certainly not at same cost as a normal packet of crisps.

I would usually spend all time in Starbucks until I found this little gem the atmosphere service amazing so relaxing quiet and most of all great coffees

I had been working in Wigan last week at the town hall, being a first time visit, I wasn’t familiar with the area or it’s amenities, a colleague recommended the coffee corner for lunch, it was just across the road. I wasn’t disappointed, I choose to take away to explore the area more, ordered a sandwich and a cappuccino, the sandwich was extremely tasty and I’d say a homemade feel which was delightful, the cappuccino a great coffee, I’d say one of the best, the coffee was smooth and being a coffee addict was superior to the generic high street coffee shops, the young girl serving pleasant, friendly and welcoming, im unsure if it was molly her name, a delightful place I hope to revisit when I’m in town again 10/10

Richard Turners review is laughable, we had a good chuckle reading it while we comfortably sat at the coffee shop. I'm not much of a coffee drinker myself, we went here for my partner and she loved it and the drinks were lovely despite me not being much attuned to coffee enthusiasts. Lovely staff, Lovely atmosphere 10/10, and very affordable despite it's quite expensive appearance.

Visited today with my partner and had 2 lovely coffees. The atmosphere is lovely here, very quiet and relaxing. The member of staff was also really nice and welcoming. The coffee was also really good, I had the cinnamon bun latte and my partner had the Carribbean Rum and Coconut Iced Latte; both were amazing. We would both highly recommend coming here if you want a nice, quiet and friendly place to drink coffee. :)

My daughter and myself come here once a week after her counselling and she loves to decompress after her session. Never a bad drink or food. It's a lovely coffee shop. Highly recommended 👌

Thought this place looked very nice from the outside reminded me of a coffee shop in New York, Unfortunately the coffee was awful, please train your staff on how to make coffees or at least just google a picture of a latte that would be a start. Called in with friends for a coffee catch up, the coffee unfortunately was cool, a member of our group advised she had been previously and found this to be the case then. I do understand you don't want coffee scalding hot but I do like it hotter than lukewarm. Decor is nice and staff are friendly just a pity about the lukewarm drinks.

A lovely gem of a coffee shop in Wigan town centre. I had a great oat milk latte, in a comfortable chair, listening to nice music and nice staff. Free WiFi too 👍

My sister is very picky with her hot chocolate and she loved the one they made for her. My sister liked it so much I went there with my son and he also loved their hot chocolate. I also had a wet coconut latte it tasted really nice. The atmosphere is so nice and cosy. One of the times I went there it was raining so it was nice to come in to a warm coffee shop and enjoy my drink. Friendly staff and a good place to go alone, with family or friends.

Off the main drag on Library street. Very nice inside. I didn't eat here so I can't rate the food.. it is reasonably priced. Coffee was excellent and it's a really nice welcoming place. It has four stars for atmosphere because I went kate on a Sunday and it was really quiet. I'll be back.

Laughable really. ********** We discovered this place a week ago, it was quaint and warm and the two ladies on shift were lovely. We thought we had found our new regular haunt between swimming lessons. They were kind and interacted with our young children and we were so happy. We returned today, planning to bring some friends, but today, we were sadly disappointed. The lady on shift, a young blonde lady, was abrupt and rude; she looked down her nose at us, tutting and huffing while my four year old considered his order. When he leant in to see what cakes there were and gently touched the glass cabinet, she sourly chastised us both, firmly protesting the fragility of the glass. I have worked in this industry and know these glass cases to be particularly robust due to the nature of their use. She huffed and walked off, seemingly unhappy with the presence of us and our children. We would have spent around £30, every saturday, for the forseable future. Not now. We left, with an upset child, and much disappointment. How sad that one unsuitable employee can damage a business so. We wont return. ********** UPDATE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: How amusing. I have seen pety responses like this to your other reviews - how funny that your version is always radically different. I will respond to what everyone is thinking - 'wow, your CCTV is that good? Crystal clear sound? WOW.' In case you couldn't tell, that was sarcasm AND irony. He poked his head round to speak to her as HE thought she was being friendly - just as he had done with the lovely staff the other week (I am assuming this wasn't you either). So this was after her 'telling off'. Mistakenly, I actually apologised (as a reflex), and only spoke the word 'rude' to my wife as we left. So your 'story'' has more holes than your customer care policy. It is a legal requirement to have a sign up detailing that you have CCTV, and how and why it is used (usually safety and security are the approved reasons). It is a breach of GDPR to use it for any other purpose. And you CERTAINLY need to detail that you also record sound - if anyone believes this. Maybe you should check your policies and responsibilties to your customers. Questioning people's parenting and criticising children is beneath decent people. There is plenty more I could respond, but I couldn't look in the mirror if I stooped to your level. I wish you all the best for the future and hope, with time, you mature a small business owner. One of the best coffee shops I have been to in a long time. Nice and cosy inside and elegant. By far the best hot chocolate I have ever had. Lovely and friendly waitress too. Definitely one to visit, very much so recommend and supporting a smaller business!

This place is amazing & the latte is the best in Wigan town centre!!! My partner & I go there after we've been shopping to chill. The staff are lovely & very chatty & make you feel very welcome. Definitely recommend this as the place to go to unwind & just relax

Visited this morning to meet a friend there. I arrived early and ordered a large latte which was not hot enough. When I asked the assistant could she add a bit of hot milk or hot water to make it hotter I was told that it was the regular temperature and to order it very hot next time, but if I order a hot drink I expect it to be hot. It still wasn’t all that hot when returned. Also on the web site there was a promotion saying Half Price Sunday’s on production of the promotion. The assistant did not know anything about it and asked what date it had been posted. I told her I did not know but it should be taken off the web site if not valid but she did not seem interested. When my friend arrived I intended to have another drink and cake with her. I intended to say very hot. My friend asked to go elsewhere as she said there was a strong smell of bleach. I could not smell this. On the up side the chairs were very nice.

Looks nice could do with menus on the tables and staff could greet when you sit down. Wasn't aware there was additional seating area no signage at all for that or the toilets

Used to really enjoy this place, coffee/food is great, can’t fault that at all. Went several times and was able to customise orders on their offers. Some staff was able to accommodate this others not it seems. For example upgrading the coffee size or add syrup, last time I went this wasn’t possible because it won’t let them add these on to their tills. When letter this staff know that I had done this several times in the past, they referred it to a manager who wasn’t willing to help. I’m sure everyone doesn’t want a standard latter or cappuccino with their deals. Perhaps this is something they can look at in the future. For now I’ll stick to the main coffee chains, as the changing goal posts really annoyed me. Edit - in response to the owners/mangers comments. At no point was I rude, I never have or will be. I work is customer my service myself and I just made the point that the previous times I have visited this was never an issue before. In fact I was recommended the place to all of My friends! I genuinely think it’s a great coffee place and all of the staff are really nice, however the fact you have tried to twist my comments to suit your own agenda that I am a rude and obnoxious customer is frankly unacceptable.

Nice little coffee shop. Visited on a hot day. Some suggestions. 1. There's a TV showing the news. On mute obviously, but would benefit from having the subtitles on. 2. With a few people in the place soon starts to heat up. Simply keeping the door open would help keep the place cooler. 3. The place is clearly set up mainly for takeaways but a few paper plates instead of the foil lined bags could be a better fit for those eating in. 4. Including a few cold drink options for the cake and sandwich deal would also be nice. As I say, just suggestions. The £6.50 is a cracker and we really appreciated our first visit.

Quality snacks and nice coffee at Coffee Corner with friendly and efficient staff.

Friendly welcoming staff. Served a proper cup of coffee. Range of plant based milks. Vegan food options and brownies. Comfortable interior, well worth the 30 second stroll down from Market Place. And handy parking right on the door step.

Great Coffee and Service, would recommend highly when visiting Wigan Town Centre
