Happened upon this cafe on a stop off in Perth. Wow, everything was wonderful!! Absolutely superb staff, really friendly, accomodating and super helpful! They go above and beyond. The food, stunning! The cakes, divine! All very reasonably priced too. The cafe is exceptionally clean, and lots of seating options available, both inside and out. Would highly recommend a visit here and will definitely be coming back here again. 😊

Went for coffee and a sandwich. Sandwich was 7.50 and literally just a bit of cheese and some ham. Overpriced and not very good….

Good food especially the cakes and friendly staff. It was nice to hide from the rain and then keep walking around the centre of Perth.

40 minutes before closing service not very welcoming. To improve. Good food but quite expensive

Both got toasties which came as is no garnish not even a crisp bit disappointing but nice enough. Coffee very small better value for tea.

Lovely ladies top customer service and friendly. Great disable access and went with wheelchair user and could enter the building no steps and disable toilet user friendly. Coffee was to die for. Would really recommend visiting if you a wheelchair user 😀

Dropped in with my parents after planned lunch venue was closed and so glad we did. Wonderful friendly staff, prompt but not rushed service and absolutely delicious freshly prepared food. Excellent value and the cafe is spacious and very pleasant. Can highly recommend the ham and apple chutney sandwich, Brie and speck foccacia and Italian toasted sandwich, all generously filled. The leek and potato soup was very very good. Had no room for coffee or any of the vast array of tempting cake unfortunately but will be back for that in future. A lovely spot.

Had a delicious sweet potato soup and Italian bread fir lunch in Coffee &Things tiday. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and delicious coffee too.

Love this place. Beautiful cakes and Italian coffee. Would highly recommend a visit. Menu for lunch just a little bit different but so fresh and extremely tasty.

Nice cafe, which is ideally located in the centre of Perth, selling nice sandwiches, soups, cake & coffee, with an Italian heart. Staff were friendly. Only small gripe is its not a particularly warm space.

Had a lovely lunch here. Home-made soup and tuna sandwich. Husband had poached eggs on toast, delicious. Very reasonable prices

Visited for a takeaway coffee and got treated to a free rant on the state of the world from the silver-haired serving gent. Coffee was small and not as hot as I'd requested. Escaped quickly as the rant was heading in an uncomfortable direction 😱 Won't be back.

What a great coffee shop and cafe. The owners are Italian which I guess was the reason the cappuccino was so good. I had a croissant which was just out the oven made on the premises, my wife had a great slab of Victoria Sandwich, honestly had I the appetite I would have tried every cake they all were home made and looked superb. If you are in Perth then make your way to Saint John’s Street, coffee shops this good are hard to find

We had soup and focaccia. Both soup and bread were excellent and very generous portions. The chap who served us was friendly and even offered some “inside knowledge“ to help with my own soup making at home. The soup was served in a Le Crueset bowl, which to me was a classy touch. No cake this time but will be back.

Cheerful friendly staff. Excellent cake and coffee. Good selection of home baking with some out of the norm choices. Loved the lemon and poppy seed cake. A very wet day when we visited and so quite quiet.

Coffee and Things is a lovely, clean and friendly community cafe in the art of Perth. I popped in for a coffee, a pastrami focaccia and a zucchini and lime cake. The cake was my favourite! You order and pay at the counter, which can make it a bit awkward for solo travellers. At least, that's what everyone did on my trip and the system seemed set up for that but there's enough staff for table service. I suspect it won't be a problem if you wait or flag a member of the wait team down. I didn't get a giant pastrami sandwich but it wasn't terribly expensive either. I'm a big eater, so would have paid more for more but I suspect regulars have smaller stomachs than me. I liked the cleanly but the cafe was a bit safe and conservative with its design. Perhaps that's a considerable for inclusivity. All in all; safe, friendly and recommended.

Always fast service and one of the more affordable cafes in Perth. Food is no frills but I always love their scrambled egg, so buttery and a good size portion.

Lovely little place with fantastic coffee and got chocolate. Non-dairy milk at no extra cost. The owner was very helpful and friendly to others as well. Can order via QR Code from your table. Would definitely visit again when in Perth.

☕ A nice wee coffee shop. Stopped by here looking for a table to get out the train, the place was full (usually a good sign!) but a kind person shared their table. Latte was good! The Earl Grey and blackcurrant cake slice was interesting but a little dry though not unpleasantly so. Would recommend this place overall!

The owner has insisted on a conversation both times we have been and is a low key racist and has pushed his strong right wing political opinions on us when we were just trying to have lunch. Food and service were fine otherwise.

Popped in for coffee and cake and was not disappointed. I had a skinny latte which was very good. The cake was delicious. The staff were very friendly.

Very welcoming and food was good. Two tables were put together as there was 4 of us, all pensioners. Wee didn't even have to ask. The owner was very helpful.

I've been here several times and it is a fantastic gem of a cafe. The coffee is lovely and the cakes are just sensational, so much choice. Immaculately clean and tidy and the staff are so friendly and chatty. Highly recommended

Utterly rude! Posting on behalf of my wife: I have an utterly disappointed experience with Coffee&Things, can't even imagine it happening ever in my life. I'm usually not at all picky and happy with any cafe, but for this I would give zero star if I could. I chose this cafe as it has a large selection of cakes which we can't even get to try, and I would say that I never will as I would not go near this cafe again. I have a work meeting today with my colleague who purposely travelled from Forth Valley and we are both professionals (doctors if you really need to know) planning to sit in for the whole day having all our meals in there. We went in around 10ish, had our food and drink ordered, sat down with two laptops trying to work together. Within an hour or less of us sitting - around 11ish, the cafe staff or owner came to us and commented that this is not an Internet cafe and this is a busy cafe, with all possible verbal and non verbal cues suggesting that we should leave. I just looked at him with utter disbelief, while I'm still munching away my lovely Italian toast and sipping my flat white. Due to this rudeness of behaviour, we decided to look for other places to work as it felt really uncomfortable having listened to those comments. The funny thing is the WiFi was not even working and we are using our mobile hotspot without complaining. Firstly, there is no sign saying that there is limited time for every customer. Secondly, it is such a short time period before those comments showered us, not like we have sat there for ages. Thirdly, there are at least 5 more tables empty at one glance, so I'm not too sure of the relevance of those comments happening right then. Fourthly, I'm not sure why "Internet Cafe" per se, is there something else suggested here or are we looked down upon, you could interpret that yourself. Lastly, he said that the cafe could fit 100 people, which as well you can see it for yourself. Maybe one should not have a cafe business if one doesn't appreciate paying customers. My colleague and I both never thought to have such rude experience and this is definitely our first. Still, in this lovely country, I believe there are many other good people around. Try other cafe mate! Thanks and bye!

Clean fresh Italian influenced cafe with indoor & outdoor seating. Great Italian coffee ☕ with a selection of food/light meals, soup & focaccia, sandwiches 🥪 & toasties. A fine selection of cakes/scones very tasty with pleasant service.

A real treat located centrally in Perth. Their homemade soups are a cut above the rest and when combined with their own homemade bread you'll be sure of a superb and hearty lunch. A definite favourite and needless to say comes with a huge recommendation 👍🙂

L'ambiance est bien, le service est bien, mais les pâtisseries sont beaucoup trop sucrées ; on a l'impression de croquer dans un morceau de sucre aromatisé. Le café est un café industriel, on n'est pas sur un vrai coffee shop ici.

Lovely staff, nice food. However, owner very off hand, both times I ordered and actually told me off for ordering too slowly ( 4 people in our party) and was telling off his staff infront of everyone which we found embarrassing. He was nice to some customers though, confusingly. Maybe our faces didn't fit. Will be back next time if the Owner isn't about.

Was looking forward to trying here, went in with my friend who was already slightly anxious at going some where new. We found the staff to be pretty rude. Cafe was empty bar 2 people in the side room. Instead of being greeted we were told "sit at a table for 2". The only tables of two were right next to the couple , or in front of the main door next to the menus where people leered over the table we sat at to read. It was an empty cafe... no "hi, how are you today", just a demand to sit down. If you'd like us to sit at a specific table, then seat us accordingly. Coffee was okay, we were only in around 15 due to how uncomfortable we were made to feel. Won't be going back.

Charming, spotlessly clean, great coffee and lovely and attentive waitress who couldn't do enough to make our visit enjoyable. The owner on the other hand is an ignorant and very rude man who thought it acceptable to loudly share his private business call next to us in an otherwise empty cafe with plenty alternative seating out of earshot.

Had a late lunch at this delightful little café while on a day trip to Perth. Handy location just off the High Street, only a couple of minutes walk from the river. The café was clean and bright. The friendly owner made me feel very welcome. As well as Italian coffee and cakes, there was a choice of two soups, sandwiches and toasties with a choice of fillings, and light meals with an Italian flavour. Ordered the potato and leek soup with a ham salad sandwich, and a pot of tea. The soup was delicious and piping hot. Lovely fresh seeded bread well filled with ham, salad leaves, tomato and a tasty relish. Excellent value for money. Had a nice little chat with the owner too. Would definitely recommend this café and would eat here again if I return to Perth.

Went in for a quick bite to eat before going to see James Bond film. So glad we did as it was really good. We had soup and a toasty.

Just had an awful experience trying to order at a cafe at the other end of the street. What a contrast, this cafe was delightful! Great staff, service and food. Only had soup but enjoyed our visit.

Just had superb soup and toastie with great tasting flat white. Staff, despite being busy were very friendly. You can order from the bar code at your table or go inside. Don't usually comment on coffee shops but this was a cut above the rest.

We always visit when in Perth. The cafe has seating both inside and out. Food is always delicious and well presented and service is friendly and prompt. Cafe itself is light airy, clean and welcoming.

My colleague and I popped in for a coffee and cheeky slice if cake while on a break. We sat outside and were greeted almost immediately by an absolutely delightful server, she was polite and made us feel very very welcome. We ordered two coffees and toffee cake, the coffee was rich in flavour and absolutely beautiful, the toffee cake was out of this world, the sponge was just right and the toffee icing was to die for. We will definitely be back, our whole experience from start to finish was amazing, just what you need from an independent local business. We'll see you soon guys 😁

Fantastic. Some of the best coffee we've had, a lovely, chocolatey cappuccino, and although we just had toast, it was fresh and tasty and plenty of it. Lovely, friendly, attentive staff, and a really nice atmosphere, we love all the plants! Will definitely be back again and would 1000% recommend visiting to anyone. Thank you
