Have been a few times but this month ordered a 4 piece lunch meal 1 chicken nugget missing all 3 scallops very small will be a while before im back

I got a chicken burger. For £3.80 I was expecting something nice. But instead I chicken in my burger that was so over cooked it was uneatable. Not just the edges I mean the whole fillet. Stay away. Absolutely raging

A good Belfast Pastie Supper has to be tried by everyone visiting the area! The one I got from The Cod House was delicious... nice big full spicy Pastie with a crunchy batter and perfectly cooked chips Recommended and all for £4.50

Average food here burgers are ok but chips are undercooked and sauces are watered down, curry, pepper sauce and mayo. Everything greasy too.

This is a decent fish and chips shop with nice people running the joint. Any time I have that craving for bad for you fried food this place always hits the spot and for a very good price. Thanks!

A last-minute dash to get some chips for dinner. I order a large portion of chips with no salt and vinegar. The girl at the counter served me the chips, wrapped them, I paid for them, then drove back to where we were staying. Unwrapped the chips to find them pale yellow, and undercooked. Shocking! Couldn't be bothered to drive back to complain. Wasted £3.40 on a large portion of chips. You think cooking chips properly would be the basic minimum for a chippy. Avoid this establishment.

I have been here a few times as their fish is actually quite nice, but it seems no matter what you order it tastes of fish? I have tried the pastie, onion rings, curry chips and sausage supper and all had a fishy taste On my last visit i ordered a burger, as i assumed because its grilled and not fried it wouldn't have a fish flavour, i was correct no fish flavour but got a BONE in my beef burger. I dont like leaving negative reviews and try not to, but I honestly wouldn't advise anyone to go here, when the chip yard is two minutes down the road.

is this what they call chips. compleley burnt no one in the shop and it took 15min to serve this rubbish at £6.50 I will never be back every chip ous burnt in a too low a temp fat how can you serve this

Love cod bites from here, hubby loves the taco chip...also pink pasties are yummy...easy access...cod bites are really big not like skinny little ones from other chippies...

First night in this area and went out for a drive to see Carrickfergus castle. We were tired from our flight. Young ladies who were working here were so friendly and helped us pick out the best pricing and variety. We're seasoned fish and chips eaters but our son was new to all this. Excellent food, huge portions and gals were offering us suggestions on what to see and do locally. Great first night in the UK!

Just popped in for some chips before closing. We nearly turned away as the bins outside were overflowing - not their fault but it did make me wonder. However, I was glad I went in. Chips were fresh and Hoya d ten pasty was so good we went back to order some more to take home.

Paying Extra for items not delivered is not the one.

Really disappointed. Fish was tough, chewy and dripping in grease. Got 1 chicken goujon in a build a box, a cod supper, and cod, 2 drinks and this came to £17?? Batter was also overdone. Unfortunately this takeaway went in the bin

Best chippie in the area, great chips good portion size and staff are always friendly. Would recommend, good value and daily offers available.

Delivery in 15mins!! Where would you get it?? Food was warm and tasty and I can't even cook beans on toast as quick as this food arrived at my door!! Great spot, recommended.

Came here for lunch a few weeks back. Very happy indeed. The food was excellent! The chips cooked to perfection and the gravy delicious. Prices were very reasonable, staff very friendly too. The chippy itself was very clean and bright. Will be back here again a lot. Well done to all.

I don't get what the fuss is about with this place, I went in expecting great things from hearing how good it was from other people, I ordered a simple fish and chips and a curry chip, got home to find a plain chip and the fish to be small and soggy, it wasn't as if they were rushed off their feet then I could of understood but thr staff were more concerned about "that fella on the news" than to serve up the correct order, won't be back

Kids meal chicken nuggets were dry and kids complained of spicyness.

Visited here a couple noontime during my stay fish, chips mushy peas and curry sauce. Loved it. Absolutely massive menu and list of deals, they even do scallops didn't see a doner kebab in sight. Well worth a visit.

Good fish, chips and like the fact you can order 1/2 portion of onion rings. Quick service and polite staff.

Absolutely disgusted at this 6pc try 5 delivery driver must have got hungry on the way here, garlic mayo was garlic water and dripping in oil I think I will stick to ordering from the captains table Cod house is disgusting

First off my juice with my order never came and second a spider came out of my food so it was in editable, never again will I order out of there!

Lovely proper chip-shop quality chips, arrived still piping hot. Cod and Onion ring batter was too crispy and hard that half of both them were inedible. But portion size and quality were so good would definitely order again.

Gravy is the black gravy tht chinese use and bit overboard on ketchup on my burger tho the burger meat was good as the bacon

Im a regular customer and I have to say this is by far the nicest chip shop in the area. Food is always delicious and delivery time is always spot on

Got cod supper and as I got half way through the cod it was cold and not cooked properly.

Delicious. Chicken fillet burgers were perfectly cooked and tasty. The chips were also tasty and perfectly cooked. I would recommend this take away blind folded.
