The food is very good, but sometimes portions are a bit off. I ordered 2 battered sausages and got 4 chips with them. I don't want a lot, a handful is plenty, but 4 is definitely not enough

Excellent food, very friendly staff

Amazing food! We have been looking for a decent chippy for a while and have found a few, but this tops them all. Portions are generous and the food is delicious! Price is fair, specially for the amount of chips you get. I got the cod supper and the better half got the chicken burger meal. We were eating of each others plate as both was delicious. We will be back again! Many thanks!

We went here when we lived in the area. Since moved, we now travel an additional 25 minutes just to get fish suppers from here. Portion size is generous and the quality of the Fish, chips and mushy peas are the highest quality. I would argue with anyone that says it isn't the best Fish supper in the Belfast area.

Ordering online makes life easier. All of the 3 above are excellent.

Got cod and chips here and it was superb. The batter on the fish was still crispy when I got home which is a first. Look forward to trying the burgers next. Highly recommended.

Was was alright but over priced as it doesn’t taste any better than anywhere else. Would have been nice to taste my chicken and beef burgers but they had about 10 litres of sauce on them.

Chicken fillet burger would’ve been nice but it was smothered in sauce so all the batter fell off and the burger bun tore apart. The chips aren’t great, I’ve had much nicer from other chippys. Also over priced, wouldn’t go back.

Really tasty food and reliable... always cooked to the same perfection each time. Staff are always super friendly too, you couldn't ask for anything more from a take away. Cod and Cow has a great reputation in the Four Winds area, you will not be disappointed. Be sure to order via their website, it's handy to order and pick a time slot and collect it to avoid any queues.

Chips very overdone , chicken burger smaller than used to be.

Great big chicken burgers! Everyone was very impressed with their orders. A large order & everything was correct as requested. Curry & gravy aren't the best I've had & I prefer pink pasties. But you can't have it all! The pepper sauce was the tastiest of the sauces.

Omg what can I say there homemade burgers are the best I’ve ever tasted it’s obvious to see they take great pride in the food they prepare and serve. The customer care is second to none. Keep up the good work ur all amazing.

What can I say, if heaven made burgers this is where you would call to get them and we are still talking about the fish supper. It was that good we can't wait to sample everything on the menu. The staff were so friendly and went above an beyond, we will certainly be back. Already thinking about what to order next!!!

Overpriced, very small portions compared with other chip shops. If you make the effort to walk in and order you probably won't get served, if you are lucky and do you can be waiting 45mins plus. Not great if I'm honest and not as nice when it first opened. Probably just to choke the Real McCoy out of business then Jack their prices up. I hope another chippy opens in four winds to do the same. (it will). Hungry house 2 (Ormeau Rd) 30% cheaper and twice the portions including the fish (twice as big for cheaper) been there 20 plus years

Great quality food, efficient ordering system and friendly helpful staff, recommended.

We won't buy from here again.. £4.50 for a very small cold chip. Much better options just 5 minutes away.

I have been a regular at Cod and Cow since it opened. I have tried many different chippys and this is the best of them all. The best burgers you can get anywhere, not just in chippys. Everything they serve is delicious and in all the years I have been going there they have never got an order wrong or even late. Staff are always friendly and helpful, for cods sake go to cod and cow.

The food is absolutely AMAZING, they do an amazing cod supper and their burgers and hot dogs are class too. A little bit EXPENSIVE though. But the food is just amazing. They have absolutely amazing chips, but due to the way the chips are wrapped they can become a little soggy so we always put them in the oven to bring them back to life a bit and when you do that they become the best chippy chips you can get. I am going to give it five stars for the amazing food.

Arrived at 8.42, was told we couldn't order as they stop taking orders at a quarter too.. even though it wasn't a quarter too yet and its advertised at 9.

The food's tasty but the portions have been significantly reduced lately and the prices have gone through the roof, I won't be back

Probably the best chippy in Belfast (and beyond!) Everything I've had here has been great but my favourite thing on the menu has to be the Buffalo Chicken Burger, I strongly recommend it.

I have just bought a burger and chips out of this wee chippy and I have to say that in all of my 50 years on the plant this is the BEST burger and chips I have ever had… I will be travelling from ards more often just for this!! Well done cod and cow that was a great dinner

Just had from here for the first time tonight, had a chicken burger and curry chip. The chicken burger was absolutely delicious! The chips was the same! I drove from North Belfast to try here after stumbling across it on Facebook and glad that I did.

They have such a wide choice on their menu, fantastic fresh food and big portions! The chicken strips are delicious, as is the thousand island dressing sauce. I would advise ordering early though as they can get very busy, particularly at the weekends.

One of the best places in Belfast to get a proper fish and chip experience! A great taste and is always cooked fresh in front of your eyes. Staff are fantastic and shop is always clean. The shop is always busy so expect to wait a small amount of time but enjoy the smells and envy of people getting there's. With it being busy just shows the caliber of grub you get! Should be up for UK best chippy award.

Good solid burger and fish. Sometimes the dressings are a little light but that's a very small issue. Never had a bad bite from there.

I was impressed with how well organised this chip shop was we arrived not realising you had to pre order over phone. However there along side the name of the shop in big numbers was phone number, so it was as simple as phoning well sitting outside shop and they gave me a wave when order was ready, and I can confirm the food was 1st class and service excellent.

Got 2 fish and chips this evening. We both agreed the food was delicious. Fish was perfectly battered, crispy and not too thick. Chips also great. Staff were all extremely friendly when I phoned my order and when I collected. Definitely be back. And encourage others too.

this "shop" is no good 2 star from me they do noot sell the live chicken i want to kill myself i have recently arrived from india and i find these "shops" awful i will never return unless it is to get milk exxcuse me for bad englash i i am trying to improove

One of the best fish and chip shops in Belfast. It may seem a little pricey, but it is well worth it. Food is absolutely delicious!

Honestly, try the chicken burgers. You'll not eat for a week they're huge!

I would go here for the chips alone!! Huge helpings. Chicken burger was delicious and the pastie was huge. Everything perfectly cooked . Good price for the quality and quantity of the food.

Quality of the food is first class and the service is excellent. All of the food is cooked fresh. We ordered fish chips chicken strips and taco chips and all were cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit.
