Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre in Manchester

Perfect location in the center of Manchester, attentive staff. I had a slight problem with my room: a window that doesn't close well letting in cold and noise, but I think it remains exceptional

This is a lovely hotel, just an easy ten minute walk from the centre. Great facilities and room, especially for the price. The hotel check in/out machines made everything super quick, efficient and easy, and the hotel car park was lovely (just make sure you arrive early to get a space, as many people had just dumped their car in random places because there were no spaces left). The only complaint about our stay we had was that while in the shower, I realised the shower was overflowing and water was running out of the bathroom door. I lifted up the drain cover and the drain was completely blocked with hair and muck, and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned out in years. As there was three of us needing a shower, we had to unclog it ourselves, which was not a pleasant experience. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay and would still definitely stay again. Thank you!

3 time in 1/2 was called and asked to vacate the room as it was 11:30, advised reception I had late check out. Communication shocking along with staff attitude. Left room to grab few souvenir came back locked out room, another reception mistake. Not somewhere I would go back

Nikita in the restaurant was outstanding. We came for dinner tonight and the service was next level. Thank you so much for taking care of us and we are defiantly coming back!! X

I am impressed with the Clayton from top to bottom. The bar area is fantastic, the layout isn't over crowded and there's plenty of plugs. The bar is well stocked too. The rooms are pretty basic but well done, like when you make a simple recipe but you then have the pressure of getting it perfect. The only downside is the seemingly centrally controlled central air system. It can only heat up and you can barely get any cool air to come out of it. I like to keep my room cool and if you're in a South facing room you bake unless you close the curtains. You may get some ambient noise coming from outside in the late evening due to its location but come on people, it's a city centre hotel bang smack in the middle of one of the largest night life hotspots in the city! It is totally bearable. At the core of this place though is the staff who are absolutely awesome each and every one of them. It's why I keep coming back.

The hotel we chose on our first day in Manchester. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Reception staff are attentive. The price is reasonable. I definitely recommend it.

We went for afternoon tea , it was really nice, the staff in this hotel are superb very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them , would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Its a ok hotel. Nothing special. The reception team are, in the main friendly. They charged us twice for the 2nd night and tried to imply it was our fault. Never got an apology. Location handy for Manchester city centre. Restaurant looks nice, foods expensive for standard fare.

Comfortable bed, great shower and breakfast. Perfect for a working stay.

The hotel overall is okay, the reason for the poor review is that I left my jacket there and they refused to mail it to a family member who lives in the country. They seem to think that travellers who stay at their hotel for some reason also live locally and they asked me to come to pick it up despite me informing them that I live in Canada and am no longer in the UK. Overall the hotel itself is okay but it does not differentiate itself positively in any way, especially in customer service.

The staff really can’t do enough for you - special shout out to Anthony on the shuttle bus service for being so great. Clean rooms. Really good food in the restaurant. Really convenient location wise and a perfect stop over if you’re flying from Manchester.

Hotel ticks all the boxes, ideal location next to the airport. Parking on site. The staff made our business stay a pleasure. Faye (breakfast) and Kat (reception) have been excellent. We'll be back again next month.

Really good rooms and some exceptional service in a hotel situated right in the heart of the city. Honestly I dont have anything bad to say about this place other than I wish I could have stayed another night. Will absolutely stay again if I can.

Highly recommended city centre Hotel. 100/10 I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful staff I can honestly say this is the best customer service Ihave recieved at any hotel i have stayed in in the UK. We always recieve a wonderfully warm welcome from the lovely Karen and reception staff. The rooms are cleaned to perfection. The new suits are beautiful and very comfortable. The use of space is very well utilised I really enjoyed having the lounge area to relax in. The new breakfast area is very well laid out and flows nicely. And the lovely breakfast staff are always on hand to help. If you're staying in the city centre this is the hotel to stay in! Looking forward to my next stay at the Clayton. X

Had a great stay at the Clayton Hotel Manchester 19 / 20 March 2024. Really nice room. Gym was small but well equipped, and breakfast choice was excellent. But the best bit was the staff. The couldn't do enough for me. For example I got to check in early (9am) which helped me better prepare for an 11am business meeting, and they let me use an old umbrella to shield me from the typical Manchester rain!! The one person who really stood out was Aisha Roka on the front desk. Always helpful, cheery and nothing was too much trouble. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Perfect for tourism and business. A bit expensive as everything un UK. Did not try the breakfast. The view from the room is like being in NY, I was on 15th floor

Went for a seminar, was nice and spacious what I saw. Very nice staff, very helpful from my experience. Only downside, toilets needed checking/cleaning, some guests leave a mess behind.

Stayed here for a week. At check in I was allocated an accessible room, asked if that was okay. The room was massive, I assume to make space for wheelchairs etc. The bathroom had no toilet paper or place to put it once acquired. The room service never replaced the coffee or biscuits. The gym was small but functional, I'm unsure why I needed to go back to reception to activate my card, they could mention this at check in. The room was very cold and unable to adjust the heating to a suitable level. Would stay again but would ask them to enable the heating controls vs. central control. The hotel felt very clinical, not sure I love that idea.

Excellent location, clean spacious room with a view of the city, comfy bed. Had all the amenities in room, including water, iron, decent toiletries, robes. The breakfast buffet was a complete English breakfast, along with breads and pastries, fresh fruit, coffee machines.

Shocking service, waited over an hour and a half for a meal very poor ,unless your in a large 100 party they don't care

Great location and a great price for the room. The room was very spacious and super adapted to wheelchair users . We were on the 15th floor so we had a fantastic view for our stay .
