Fantastic takeaway but please stop raising and raising your prices. It’s getting unrealistic.

We just holidayed nearby in a cottage in Woolley Moor. 4 adults and 2 children. We ordered in early in the week, and all the food was excellent and hot. It was so good we repeated the experience 3 days later. Pizza, burgers and kebabs were superb both times.

Been a valued customer of this place for many years staff very polite and courteous plus food is amazing!!

I takeout chicken burger last night. The fillet was so hard to bite. With smokey taste. They overcooked it. Will never recommend. Again.

Food is unreal, kebab is tasty and not greasy at all. Staff are brilliant I had to wait longer than first agreed but the boss couldn’t apologise enough and made sure he looked after me. This place is a must try.

Ordered from here a few times now really nice food we have had pizzas kebab and there chips all really nice and not dripping in fat and always arrives really hot will always order from here

Once again! Many a time in the past, we (myself & my young family) have stopped off here for a pizza or three! They are STILL as good as I remember, if not better!

Food was great, decent price, but I asked for a pita with both my kebaba but didn't receive them, couldn't be bothered to go back, just add the pita for future 👍🏻 also cash only isn't the best for everybody

I've tried the kebabs, the burgers, the pizza's. Everything is top notch. You might pay a bit more but the quality of the food is worth the extra money. Drivers are always friendly. Give it a try...you won't be disappointed.

Brilliant food and fast delivery

Ordered via mobile however went to collect and they couldn't find my order. Turns out there was a mix up and all was rectified & as a goodwill gesture we got a bottle of pop, am extra chicken in my burger and my partner got PLENTY of kebab meat as well as a heart felt apology. Honestly, mistakes happen and the staff couldn't have handled this any better. Food is always smashing from here too! Thank you to the staff for your quick turn around at rectifying the issue!

Honestly one of the best takeaways around, They deliver to Wingerworth which is a huge bonus. Food is always piping hot and freshly cooked. Reccommend the marinated lamb pieces with garlic and chilli sauce, the nann bread always tasts freshly cooked too

Good amount of meat in the medium Donner and the chilli sauce has a great kick, Chicken portions generous too on Shish kebab, would recommend

I got a take away today from here and it is banging 👌. It's even tastier then it was before. The prices have gone up since i last ordered which I was silently moaning about but with the portion size better then before, I'm going to shut up 😋 . They deserve a good review after receiving tonight's order.

Not happy at all. Not long ordered, the food came (I had a kebab) and once again a hair was in my food! This isn’t the first time this has happened, I stopped ordering for a while due to this happening a while ago. And now it’s happened again. NOT happy that’s money down the drain again.

Now I never order takeaway food but for the last couple of days I have been ordering from this brilliant fast food restaurant and I must admit its bloody got top marks from me the food is fantastic. As an ex employ i can honestly say these guys care about your food, from oven to your door within fantastic time. As the delivery driver i found myself impressed with the heat/steam pluming out the bag as I opened it to deliver it to the customer. Highly recommend the chillie and garlic sauce's👌👌👌

We had a family party Saturday night and pre ordered food. It came exactly on time, piping hot and delicious. A huge thank you to all the staff at Charcoal grill and the delivery driver. Great value and customer service.

The food is really good and the price isn't too bad, however I feel some of the portions have gotten smaller while retaining their price.

Had a bad experience as we were all ill next day usually food is great but not last night .very disappointing

Usually pop in to the shop for food but had delivery this evening, fantastic as always , burgers, chicken wings , chicken wraps all amazing...Not tried a pizza yet but look amazing...G8 staff and clean and latest technology to cook and maintain the juices in the meat Must try Cheers neil

The foods amazing. No doubt about that But for me to get a Pepperoni Stuffed crust pizza and a medium cheese and chips it's going to cost me £18.40. It just isn't worth it anymore. Every time i've come to order the price has gone up. I understand inflation but this is simply unrealistic now guys. Sorry.

Food was shocking tonight half the order was missing the chips were cold and soggy not what was orded really poor tonight and all that was said is they can sort it on next order no thanks never again

First time order last night and it was fantastic 👍🏼 Fresh hot delicious food delivered quickly, items came wrapped separately so was wasn’t all mush.. chips great too. Delivery driver very nice, can’t fault it. We will be back.

I love it here. But i just can't get past the price point anymore. For me to get a Pepperoni stuffed crust pizza with some fries and cheese is £17? Come on. It's just got to the point where you're pricing people out sadly. Great food but i ended up getting a Maccies tonight and saving £10. Gutted

Had a lovely takeaway sat 26th Feb had delivered great guy well spoken told us to enjoy our meal the food was really nice and hot I'm really a fussy eater but I'd say they can cook for me everyday really really enjoyed thankyou to all concerned

We ordered 2 pizzas and the delivery was fairly quick and one of the pizzas was OK, not the best but also not the worst. However the other pizza was made with tomato sauce instead of tomato puree and was not very nice at all. I was not expecting tomato sauce on a pizza, it was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. We will not be ordering from here again.

I've never had a bad meal from Charcoal grill. Staff are always friendly and delivery times are very good,even on busy nights.

Always had a great pizza from here but last night I ordered a standard bbq special and ended up with a stuffed crust special and there was no bbq or any sauce……very dry & upsetting as it was a birthday celebration

Can be a bit hit or miss wasn't impressed this time fries were different and hardly Any garlic on the bread and thought it was expensive for what we got

Great quality food ,Fresh testy yummy, lot of vegetables which make you feel satisfied to have when you go for take away.

Really nice food and great service - its fair to accept that mistakes are sometimes made with orders its what you do that makes the difference. After we informed them of their mistake an apology was and a replacement was delivered in 10 minutes. You cannot say fairer than that and i believe is the sign of a really great business.

Tender good sized portions & chunks of lamb shish kebab, ( no gristle or fat) soft & stretchy naan. Fresh salad Pizza fantastic flavours. Order early for delivery at weekend before it gets busy. Friendly staff if you call in & willing to chat. Thank you to everyone it was delicious.

Long time since I went to Charcoal grill. I had a pizza. It was so good. Next time I will have a chicken shish. .its the best in clay cross. In my opinion. 😋

Great food. Very friendly staff. Very clean, only issue is they don't have card machine in this day and age which is very annoying.

I’ve tried lots of take aways in my area for pizza as I’m very fussy & charcoal grill give plenty of options like base size, bbq or tomato base etc & for the past 2 years I won’t go anywhere else! Always comes piping hot & delivery drivers are always polite! Told my friends about charcoal grill and they won’t go anywhere else now 👌🏼 Thank you for making me fat 😂

Phoned order advised approx 1 hour delivery .... took 1.5 hours so starving when arrived! Driver was pleasant masked but crinkled eyes showed he was smiling! Ordered Cod and chips .... cod Ok but did not get chips, rather nasty brown little sticky things they call fries Had menu said fries I would have gone somewhere else! Two other meals were fine, but why no proper chips, I ordered chips and was very disappointed!

Undoubtedly the best takeaway around where i live.Everytime i order,the food arrives very hot very fresh & extremely tasty.Very good value for money when you compare the pizza to Dominoes.I obviously haven't ate a lot on their menu but am sure the results would always be the same.Well done Charcoal Grill in Clay Cross!!

Chicken was over cooked, dry and tough especially on the edges. Really didn't enjoy it. The fries were nice (even though I ordered 'chips'). I specifically requested no onions but there was a hint of it, as if onions were removed. The pizza... did not sit well with the person who ate it. They immediately had a very upset stomach. It's our first and last time ordering. Telephone service was fine, but actual food taste and quality, poor.

Was passing through and stopped off here for a small chicken kebab - really good kebab proper breast meat cooked well with loads of fresh salad + great crispy chips. Highly recommended!!! 👍🏻 nice work lads.

Decided to give into temptation and have a doner kebab, plus other food for the family - included chicken nuggets/chips, pizza, etc, as not had one for a few months. This is our first choice for ‘ fast take away’ food - even though it’s a fair distance away. Food is always excellent, hot and orders are always accurate, with delivery on time. Staff are always friendly too.

Ordered food for myself and a few friends and one of them cannot have gluten or wheat etc due to celiacs disease. A few hours before ordering we called up and asked what they had that was gluten free and they checked everything for us and listed what she could and couldn’t have. Amazing food! Highly recommend.
