Just been to this restaurant and had a great time , the food was wonderful and the service even better. Even though it was really busy we were seated quickly and served just as quickly. Haley was our waitress and she was very friendly and did a fantastic job. She’s a real credit to the restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friendly staff, good food and a cold Corona. Menu options very good catering for adults and children alike, I particularly like the option of how hot/spicy you would like certain items however I didn't like the loud mouthy scouse Knob with a mouth like a sewer sat behind us with his kids. But would definitely come back if we are in town.

Chiquito si trova poco fuori York, all'interno di un grosso parco commerciale. Ristorante di per sé carino e accogliente. Menù vario ma in alcuni casi poco chiaro. Servizio molto cortese, simpatico e veloce. Piatti scialbi, con poco gusto e piccantezza da ricercare altrove. Prezzo elevato (25£ per un main e uno sharer diviso in 3).

I nipped in here with my mum after shopping at the retail park, we really enjoyed it the food and service was brilliant, especially Tina as my mum's a bit of a plain eater usually and her recommendations went down a treat!

We picked this restaurant as we'd never tried Chiquito's before - there were other restaurants on the business park that we could have used. The greeting was swift and polite, the order quickly taken and the food served to table in short order. A decent choice of meals meant everyone found something to eat.

Went with the family this evening, not my choice but pleasantly surprised, I had seabass, very nice but too many potatoes 1 head of broccolli, would have been better with another veg and less potatoes. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, 35 minutes later the food arrived ! We all enjoyed what we ordered, it isn't cheap, Staff are over cheerful but I guess that is the training, Quite busy but people in and out.

Myself and a friend were seated straight away, and our drink order was taken. We ordered a diet Pepsi and a Corona. When the drinks arrived the waitress passed me the Corona and no word of a lie the bottle was room temperature. I am not one to complain, but I just asked do you have one slightly colder, she took it from me and said I will put it on ice for a bit and walked off. I looked at my friend in disbelief... 15 minutes later and after ordering our food she bought back my slightly chilled bottle that had been sitting somewhere behind the bar, so the glass was cold but the actual beer was not, oh and at this point going flat. The food took over an hour to arrive, despite the restaurant being less than half full, but we were told that it was because Sea Bass takes a long time to cook... sure thing. Although when my friend finally got her Sea Bass she was not very impressed. The Steak Fajitas were the saving grace of this evening, I had nothing but positives to say about them, and the tray of guac, salsa etc is topped up on request. Deserts left a lot to be desired, her Chocolate Orange Cake had no hint of any orange and my Brownie Baked Banana just summed up a rather disappointing evening. Throughout the evening, waitress kept moving the full bottle of corona closer to me in order for her to clear the table which I couldnt help but smile at, almost as if to say dont forget to drink up. The bill came to in excess of £50, for 2 drinks (yes the corona was still on the bill), 2 mains and 2 deserts, to be honest I feel it was rather pricey for what we had, especially when we both left dissapointed. To put it simply, there are plenty of other restaurants at the complex with better food, customer service and prices. I wont be going back any time soon.

Sadly every meat dish our group ordered had very little meat, which meant the taste wasn't as good as it should be. It was sad to have to report this as the staff were attentive.

We walked in, and were promptly ignored by a waitress who saw us, and who then promptly walked away. Eventually we were seated, and by a fairly friendly guy. We then asked about their vegan options. Chiquito's have an average vegetarian selection, with items clearly marked on the menu. We figured it would be easy enough to ask which of these options were vegan, and which could be made vegan (it was fairly obvious from the menu some of the dishes would just need a cheese topping leaving off, and, even better, replacing with something else). Unfortunately, the guy didn't have much of a clue what we were asking. I asked whether any of the vegetarian options were vegan; "yes, the vegetarian options just have vegetables"; I tried again, and then asked whether the ones with cheese could be made vegan; once more "yes, the vegetarian options only have vegetables, just what's on the menu". After repeating to no avail, I switched to asking whether they could be made diary free. He said they had no meat in them, and that if we wanted other things leaving off, we could tell the waitress when she came for the order. That would've been fine for the obviously dairy items, but left us with no clue about the things (sauces, and so on) which may or may not have had diary in them. The waiter moved on, a waitress came and asked (in a tone bordering on rude) if we'd like to order drinks now, so we decided to leave. Chiquitos does not appear to be the place to eat if you like to enjoy cruelty free food - not yes, at least.

Came for something to eat before going to the cinema with my partner, found the service was good although drinks took a while to arrive, starters were lovely. When it came to mains i was fairly dissappointed. Lacking in flavour and spice not worth the price paid in the end.

Popped in here after some retail therapy. Promptly met by a friendly waiter who led us to our table. Drinks ordered and a complimentary bowl of Mexican Popcorn arrived as an appetizer, very nice too. Mains arrived 15 mins later. Portion size was adequate for us, but if you have a bigger appetite I would recommend adding on extras to your meal. Food however was very tasty and flavorsome. Staff were very polite and attentive. When the bill came we were offered to fill in an online survey, and when completed, you receive £10 off your next visit. Nice touch.... We will be back.

Very pleasant staff but could do with a few small touches to move up the scale. I.e. Hot drinks should surely be served with a spoon with sugars & sweeteners. Bless our waiter, he had a limited English vocabulary and the word sweetener was lost on him....he told me that he didn't know as he hadn't tried the fish dish himself. He did get it eventually but if there had been sugar/sweetener on the table, the poor lad would have not suffered the embarrassment in the first place. Having said that, the food was served piping hot and was incredibly tasty. I would visit again.

We ate here after a morning in Leeds. The door staff was very professional and so was our server which made sure we all knew we could amend our order to suit taste . The starters arrived within 15 mins as there was 8 of us they all arrived together and all pipping hot. The chicken wings was the nicest he had ever had. There was quite a wait for our mains which spoilt the meal a little but overall we all were impressed and all 8 of us praised the server as he was so professional without being over the top

Good service. good, hot, filling food. we enjoyed our meal here. we all like Mexican, so went here for a late lunchtime birthday meal with family. We were quickly shown to a nice large table. They were averagely busy. Service was prompt/timely, helpful and friendly throughout the meal. We had the sharing platter between five and found it a good choice, tasty and hot. Chilli poppers are brill. I had hot chilli chicken fajitas and they were excellent. It's a nice touch that you can ask for extra wraps and salsa, cheese etc. the 4 wraps were large so I didn't need more, but it was good to have extra salsa etc. others had burgers, enchiladas and a child's pizza. All were piping hot and filling. We'll go back here again. Drinks were expensive, but most places like this are the same. I've had duck fajitas here before, but they've stopped doing them - shame, coz they were great.

A small group of us went recently on a Tuesday and upon arrival it was fairly quiet so we were shown to our table immediately. We received great service from the staff and they were very friendly and prompt. Now the bad news, I ordered the enchilades and although they were nice I was not completely full and felt that the portion size was too small especially for the price (£10). I then ordered the fudge popcorn sundae for dessert. I only ate a few spoonfuls of this as the chocolate fudge sauce and red berry sauce in it did not compliment each other at all. I think I would return again to sample some more of the menu but it is more pricier than other similar restaurants such as Frankie & Benny's or TGI Friday's.

Visited with friend and her family on a Saturday night . Food was fine and tasty ( chilli poppers took roof of my mouth out due to molten cheese explosion ) , service was fine , but then the money grabbing started !!! 10% service charge added to bill (£17), then I went to bar to order 1 pint of lager , and 3 soft drinks and was presented with a bill for £17 , ( is this a magic Mayan number, I thought ??) anyway , queried it and after some mutterings of putting in wrong drinks etc, was rewarded with a bill for £11.80 , still a bit steep but par for the course these days!!!Overall a good experience, due to the company I was with, the service and the atmosphere , despite the worrying recurrence of the number 17 !!!!!!!!!!

I've been going to this Chiquito since it opened nearly 20 years ago. It introduced me to fajitas and it was the bench mark for all other fajitas I ate elsewhere up & down the country. I've probably eaten here 60+ times. We've had my sons birthday parties here and we've eaten at various times and days so I think I can comment with some experience on how it has deteriorated. Over the years the fajita portions have got smaller & smaller, but the food & value were good so we still ate here. But last saturday was the final straw. The nachos starter to share was fine. Service was noticeably slow for 6pm, and it wasnt busy. My girlfriend wanted a cocktail, but since we were never asked if we wanted a second drink, they lost out on £6. We ordered a fajita each, one "blackened salmon" and one "mango glazed cod". When they eventually arrived it was basically a piece of fish on some hot vegetables! There was no fajita sauce/mix/flavour, the vegetables were just that, vegetables. Yes the salmon was blackened, but it tasted of nothing, and the cod had never even seen a mango in its life, never mind being glazed by one.As usual, went you want a member of staff to ask "is everything okay?" they can never be seen. The fajitas were £14/15 each, and it must have took someone less than 30 mins to cut vegetables up and throw them on a hot skillet with a piece of raw fish.Very dissappointed; even more so because this used to be my favourite place to eat. It was always number 1 choice either before or after we'd been to ikea or the showcase nearby.I accept that it could have been a one off bad day; but I've been going here a long time and I've noticed that the standard and quality is slipping whilst the price is going in the opposite direction. It will be a while before I throw my hard earned cash away at this joint, if at all.Sorry Chiquito but you need to put yourselves in the place of a customer once in a while and you no longer compare favourably with other fajita places. Adios.

Well........after reading the reviews on TA after we had visited Chiquitos, we were left wondering if we had been to the same restaurant!Have to say the service was excellent and the food was good for a chain restaurant. OK the food was not as authentic as that in some other independent restaurants, but nevertheless it was tasty and acceptable. We dined at around 6pm and by 7pm the place was just about full, with a good atmosphere in the nicely divided seating areas. 2 rounds of drinks, 2 starters and 2 mains came to £50, not cheap by any means but to be honest the drinks racked up the best part of £15. So the actual food was probably priced reasonably, certainly comparable with the other eateries at the complex. We thought its more of a place for a meal than a night out, we would return but not on a regular basis.

We went here for a night out and the food wasn't very good. Everything feels samey, but with different names and the actual mains was very poor. Even I cook better Mexican food! It is also quite expensive too. Only good thing is the nachos with chilli.

My partner and I ate here once (my friend worked at our local one and gave us a few freebies) i thought the food was ok, nothing special and i seriously do not think its value for money. When i made a slight complain to my friend he told me nearly all their food was warmed up in a microwave! i dont want to go out and spend a fair amount of money on ping food. Never again!
