Chicken Cottage in Bradford

Forgot to put the cheese in all of the burgers in my order.

Tried their mountain burger meal along with gravy on side, burger was amazing, it was soft and delicious. On other side gravy was bland in spices however taste was still there.

Very friendly staff.. I do recommend try there grill chicken I tried it very fresh and juicy 😋

I’ve been to a fair share of takeaways in Bradford but chicken cottage is by far my favourite! The service was really fast and the staff were very friendly. I’ll definitely be a regular here. The portions are generous and the atmosphere was great.

I came to Bradford for a job interview and it had been a really long day.. after a while of searching for somewhere to eat I came across chicken cottage and decided to try it out. It definitely did not disappoint. The chicken was much better than KFC and the customer service was 10/10, if (fingers crossed!) I get the job I will definitely be a regular customer here 😁. They are very generous with their portions and the chicken fillet burger was super fresh and delicious.

Avoid this place like the plague. Extremely poor customer service. The guy on the till couldn't even understand a simple order. I had to repeat it multiple times and even after that he just did what he thought was right. Didn't someone tell you the customer is always right. If I want something specifically its because I'm paying for it. The woman on the counter got it right the first time and even after telling the guy "he should have two drinks he's ordered a meal" he argued back with her saying no it's on its own even though I paid for two meals one of which was a box meal plus an extra chips which I also never got as well as a drink can. If your the owner and your reading this you need to send your order taking staff for a course on simple etiquettes and if they let their spiteful behaviour dictate what they should give the customer then time to find a different line of work other wise this won't last very long. If you take my advice put the guy on the counter on box assembling duty and promote the woman to actually taking orders.

Absolutely horrible food. So salty that it burnt my throat. Chips were cold and cheese burger bun was cold like a snowball. Avoid these jokers at all costs.

Undercooked chicken on 2 burgers. Rang the store. Tried blaming breadcrumbs. Not interested told me to contact uber. Disgusting

Ordered from here many times and never usually have an issue except for tonight. 2 items were missing, fries and a drink, then the chicken in the burger was raw. Contacted the restaurant and was told I was wrong and no way it was under cooked??? I'll add a photo where you can clearly see the chicken is PINK. A simple apology and replacement would have easily resolved the issue, I was completely polite when I called to be met with absolute rudeness!!! Disgusting.

I placed an order today and the quality of the food was shocking 2 items were missing everything was cold and when I called back to complain the “brother” who answered was very rude and kept cutting the phone off , 25 pound gone down the drain never again absolutely shocking attitude and aggressive

Would have given a 0 star if I could. Absolutely terrible food and service ordered in store and they got my order wrong after confirming it with them. On top of that the food was cold and stale and the burger tasted rubbery. The owners attitude was really aggressive once ringing back to let them know and I also got threatened by the owner telling me to come down and watch what happens. Absolutely terrible behaviour and I won't be going there ever again Shame on the owner

the grilled chicken wings lemon and herb was delicious and the chips were better then mcdonalds ...my daughter had a chicken fillet burger and it was a good size chicken piece and you can tell when the chicken is fresh highly recommend 5 stars

Ordered a burger from there on its own. It took 1 hour to come, burger was all cold and chicken was pure pink. This is not me being a biased person but whatever i pay for the food must be mouth watering not dirty old scumbag food

i am extremely disappointed with this takeaway chiken cottage and their handling of my Too Good To Go order. I placed an order well within the designated time frame and received a confirmation. However, when I arrived to collect my food, I waited 20 min outside in rain they never received phone n they never opened the door This experience was a complete waste of my time. I traveled all the way to the location only to leave empty-handed and frustrated. What’s worse, that i felt so inconvenience in rain n my kids were waiting for food expecting my dad will bring something I won’t be ordering from them again and recommend others to think twice before doing so. what if there would be instead alone female student who would be just wondering there at night and could happen anything Very disappointed and frustrated

Rude and blunt service order the phone, cut me off and I was having the best day. Just made me go elsewhere, £60 order.

Ordered food for delivery, food was cold and part of order missing again!! Telephoned back and asked the rude lady ( obviously lacking customer service skills and maybe on a power trip), said can not get it delivered as they do not have enough drivers!! Been charged for it but missing orders is a regular thing at Shipley Chicken Cottage. Bring back the old workers, as they were more incline to customer services rather than the woman saying “mate, come pick it up, or you’ll get it on next order” Sorry MATE, won’t be ordering again with cold and incomplete order. Looks like you NEED the money more than I do! Keep my money!! ENJOY!!! No option on half a star! Fries were nice though.

This evening I experienced a horrible accident when I order chicken cottage for me and my children. One of my children was eating chicken strips when she found an ALIVE WORM inside, she noticed the worm moving in her piece of chicken. Although I asked a refund from Uber, I am disappointed and I will not ordering again from this place.

Chicken wings-smelt like frozen not fresh chicken this place never let me down but today I smelt the wings and I felt sick! Chicken was off and nasty.

Always getting the order wrong, twice before i’ve ordered in store, assuming the order is right, take it home and it’s the wrong thing than what i’ve asked for. It happened twice before and I left it as I understand these kind of businesses can be busy. Ordered wings and got a fillet piece instead, how is that even possible? the food is good but the service is terrible, so dissapointed.

Food was spot on as always, however, I did have an issue with my order. I ordered a full chicken with 3 sides but when selecting my side options, salad and fries shows as 1 option available but the outlet actually class it as 2 different sides and therefore you do not have the option to order fries on there own. Could management please look into this and rectify this oversight.

Ordered box meal missing the corn and the chicken was pink. Never again will I buy food from this dump it needs shutting down. Reported to trading standards and sample of food sent. Oh and the rude delivery woman was very racist.

Please use the bins if you eat here, there's one literally just outside! And to the owners it's your responsibility to make sure outside of your premises is free from your litter.

I took my daughter for the first time and the guy had a nice chat with me about it and gifted her something as it was her first outing to a fast food place!

Bought 5 meals buns which had chicken fillets in where not fresh plus chicken looked like it was sat thair for a while because it dried out last time I go to this branch charge full price but food not fresh If you're charging full price at least give fresh food

Tonight I ordered pri pri chicken and rice and three portions of chicken and chips! The coated chicken looked like old batter around it! Pri pri half chicken was absolutely disgusting! Didn't even get what I ordered no rice and no stripes of chicken like it's stated! Paid £16 for a load of garbage! It didn't look like what was on the menu! 😡 We've been there loads of times but this was a disappointing result 😡 I rang told them and they wanted us to bring it back! Why couldn't they come and pick it up! Not going again!

This has to be the best chicken cottage in the U.K keep up the good works and your food is spot on cannot fault anything. Best fries ever tasted I am a regular here now. Also congrats on your awards hard work pays off!

Ordered half grilled chicken, sent me 3 tiny chicken strips. Rude delivery woman. Horrible rice, first and last time ordering from this joke of a place.

So I ordered a salsa wrap, came and it was a hot wrap which I didn’t order I’m a pregnant woman and there was no detail of the salsa being hot and this is not okay!

So, I just left a 4 star just eat review saying good chicken, but that I was disappointed that the chilli cheese bites were different and not as good.. about 15 minutes later someone arrives at my door with a batch of the old ones.. not at all expected but great service and a very welcome surprise!

i ordered the Peri Peri Box meal and it was amazing . It had a very unique flavour, one of the best Wings I’ve had.

i am very disappointed with me service for a start the food was cold, secondly instead of vimto they sent wanted if i wanted that i would of used my tap and saved a few quid and also they sent no chilli sauce i am absolutely appauled and the staff were so rude had no respect for customer service i’d rather starve than ever eat from this place again

Very bad service .The way they talk is very rude. We have been there 3 times and they take extra money and they don't know how to talk to their customers properly.For example I wanted garlic sauce and they g to go to sainsbury and get garlic sauce from there.They said it to me in a rude manner.

The chicken was amazing and the staff were super nice and helpful even though they were busy. The only criticism is the fries are 1/10 if they were better quality the meals would be some of the best in Bradford

Been there today & had Mountain Burger. I’d say it’s the best burger in whole Bradford. Better than KFC. Size of fillet satisfies the price. Best place for fillet burger. Moreover, their peri peri chicken is also on top. Great ambience, quality taste along great staff. Highly recommended!

Food is nice, but preparation takes hours and there was a fly in my fries, never got a refund, an apology, or any precautions taken after mentioning it, haven't been since.

Not even one star worthy after our poor experience. Genuinely shocked that they won an award recently. We had the most strangest and rudest encounter over the phone and will not be giving them our custom again. An incorrect order was delivered with the wrong combo of food and a BOGOF burger missing. Luckily we checked before the delivery man had left. He called the shop owner who told the delivery man to check our order, bearing in mind the order had been opened by this point. The shop owner then proceeded to tell the delivery man that no mistake had been made and that the order was correct, indirectly suggesting that I was making this up. At this point I asked to speak to the shop owner who said that he'd checked the cameras and the order had gone out. I confirmed this wasn't actually the case and that he was doubting a customer over his own mistake, wasting mine and my children's time and money. After the unpleasant phonecall, the shop owner asked the delivery man to take away the empty wrappers/boxes for some bizarre reason; I returned the single burger as I was stunned at the appalling service. Goodness knows what the purpose behind this bonkers act was supposed to be and I couldn't care less tbh, but concerned that they accepted returned food! No apology, no solution, no refund and extremely ill mannered service - I couldn't believe this shop won an award recently. AVOID.

Delivery driver came to neighbours house. We were playing cricket. He blocked the wickets and refused to move when asked to do so. I had to ask him 5 times then he abrubtly did so and ignored me when i said thank you twice

Says they close at 23:00, rang at 22:30 and after confirming the time they close which he said was 23:00, asked if I could place an order for 3 meals to be told that the last few pieces were being sent out for delivery, why not just tell me at the start that you are now closed if you have nothing to serve...

Robbers charge 50 pence for sauces. What is it that dead. Not sure why they run a business when they only greedy for cash.

High Prices Low quality. If you want to get overcharged buy here. The Yearly National inflation rate fluctuates between 1%-2% sometimes around 4% yet their prices go up 10% to 30% don't blame it on inflation. Just cook your own higher quality and cheaper chicken meals.

The pizza was horrible, there was barely any sauce and way too much cheese, the calzone was just a pizza folded in half (Not like a calzone should be) which also had barely any sauce and way too much cheese. The chips were also horrible, barely had any taste almost like plastic. The only good thing about the order was the pepsi can and the Rubicon can. All over pretty disappointed with the food and will definitely not order from here again as we weren't able to finish it.

They used to be a 4 and a half However the food is not as nice and its 5 pound for a regular burger at other palaces you can get a burger meal and wings fo under 4 pounds.

Massive portions! All nice and hot too. One of our meals was forgotten, but after calling the restaurant it was delivered very quickly with a few extras. Staff were very polite and apologetic.

The donner meat was cold and hard with the pita bread the same. That was the box selection. Otherwise other parts was okay . Sorry guys but didn’t make sense how the chips were warm but the pitta and dinner cold and hard .

Pizza not as good as it usually is. Some type of spicy powder on it. I asked for mango rubicon and got guava which I don't like and won't drink. I ordered 2 lilt and although the driver did make me aware that they had no lilt and have given me 7up instead there was only 1 can not 2. The fries and onion rings were soggy and not very nice. The food and order is usually spot on but tonight it wasn't up to the normal high standards.

Absolutely disgusted, food was inedible, I asked for only a little bit of pizza sauce on the pizza, it had been heaped on, the chips were cheap and undercooked, the flake cake was supposed to come with a scoop of ice cream, it didn't! It went in the bin as it was just disgusting, I have taken photos and want my money back, I don't see why I should have to pay for food that vile, really do not recommend, disgusting food! I had to throw it and order elsewhere

Ordered a hotshot 12” deep double meat and extra mushrooms with large chips. What I got was large chips and a 12” deep pizza with chicken and Donna meat with chilli. Asked just eat for refund on pizza.
