Great great place, they very kindly opened for us on a Monday lunch to celebrate our daughter’s 25th birthday. So busy eating and celebrating that I forgot to take photos of the food.

Very very Average, we were very disappointed with our visit here, the food was just about good enough to avoid the need to complain but not one dish was better than ok. Pasta dishes average, calamari starter soft and undercooked, fillet steak was a good piece of meat and cooked to My desired level but hadn’t even been threatened with any seasoning and was totally flavourless. Honestly felt like they were doing the bare minimum acceptable, it wasn’t quite bad enough to complain about but the quality of The food wasn’t worth anywhere near the price charged. Used to be far better than this, we won’t be returning.

Wow what a delight it was to have eaten in this establishment. The staff were amazing and friendly. The food was a delicious from beginning to end and each course was extremely enjoyable and very well executed. We enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be returning soon. Ordered via Just Eat for takeaway. Bit disappointed I was charged £4.50 for delivery however, food came quickly. Was nice but expensive for what we actually ordered, not sure I'll order takeaway again which is a shame.

I dined in on my own after a busy day and I can honestly say I felt so welcomed the staff went above and beyond. Now for the food it was incredible full of flavours and was AUTHENTIC. The chefs and staff clearly know what they’re doing. I cannot wait to return and this will be a new go to spot. The whole experience was outstanding the restaurant was busy and lively which is nice to see. I would also like to add the carbonara was one of the nicest pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Chianti is an absolute must for a dining experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is perfection. The perfect place for a cosy couple date, friends catching up, a party or a family get together. Would 100%recommend giving this place a try, you will not be sorry.

It may be a restaurant but it behaves like a fast food.

Having recently moved into the area my husband & I have often driven past this restaurant with the firm intention of dining there at some point. Well, last evening we did and it did not disappoint. The service was brilliant, the food amazing and the entire ambience delightful. There is a varied choice on the menu. My husband & I both had the avocado & prawns to start which was delicious and we both had pizza for our main courses (albeit different ones). I've got to say, it was the best pizza I've eaten in a long time. Definitely get value for money. We will be returning ........... and recommending to our friends. Thank you Chianti for a lovely evening.

It was my granddaughter's 13th birthday and she really loves everything about Chianti as we all do. I also managed to avoid garlic!!!

The food felt like it was heated up in a microwave. It was a take away, maybe its better if the food is served in a restaurant, not sure, but the take away was below average.

We have used Chianti now to deliver our pizza's for work events and I cannot recommend them enough. Fantastic pizza's, fantastic service and always deliver on time and great value for money will continue to use them for every event we have

We visited this evening for dinner. The place has had a refurb. The menu is smaller not a lot of choice. We ordered our food and it was very bland and tasteless. Couldn’t eat it. Considering it is run by Italians the pasta is bland no flavour at all.Would not recommend or return. Expensive for what it is.

Dropped in here by chance during a long drive. What a find. We had a couple of pizzas and they were delicious. The staff were friendly, the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again.

Delicious Cannelloni and tiramisu

Severely disappointed. I paid £64 which is a lot of money and what turned up was awful. Not worth the money at all. Pizza's small and tasted doughy, barely any toppings, soggy chips, seafood linguine just stuffed in a box, bland, scallops not cooked properly, and the cannelloni I could have made better myself. I will not be ordering from here again!

Amazing home takeaway, fresh pasta that tastes incredible straight to my door. Delivered piping hot and within about 20 minutes, perfect thank you.

We have eaten in the restaurant several times before. We thought we'd try the delivery this time. Pizza's were lovely and were delivered on-time, would highly recommend.

Had high expectations for this however was let down, pizza for its price is terrible. Didnt taste bad but defo not worth the money probably wont order from here again

Friendly management here. A warm greeting. Slightly cold atmosphere warmer lighting would help. Food Starters very basic I would say something your average home host would serve. Mains were better my Carbonara tasted good despite the ham being rather bland. Pizzas were just ok not crispy bases at all. Deserts were really insulting poor. My profiteroles were dry shells piped with canned squirty cream and chocolate sauce of ice cream van standard. At £6.50 each sorry not acceptable. At £40 a head for 3 courses and a few drinks it was barely ok I'm afraid. Please fix the lighting the starters and desert quality thankyou. 🙏

Great food fantastic service have dined in & had take out delivery

We have been fans of Chianti for well over 20 years and have written reviews on TA previously. After continuing to visit at least once a month thought it time we updated. The place still continues to serve up great Italian food – the scallops - Capesante Al Forno are divine. They have undergone a substantial change in the lay out of the restaurant but we think it’s made it even better. The hanging chianti bottles from the ceiling are still there - a lovely touch and link with the past. The boys are still there and good fun. We hope to be still dining there as Chianti continues to thrive for at least another 20 years.

I was really disappointed as I ordered a pizza at 7pm for collection at 8:30pm last night and it was not even warm when I got it home (a 2 minute walk) which made me think they made it a lot earlier than the collection time. Not saying they are bad, just saying if you order for a later time, make sure it is freshly made.

Slightly irritated by a previous review as we found the staff great and the food was great. So hopefully this balances the review

The owner is a rude man beware do not go here avoid at all costs. Had a bad takeaway from here an family have had a terrible meal on many occasions avoid avoid avoid

So disappointed with the service, we were rushed with our orders , absolutely no customer service having to wait for drinks, so many customers in there , sorry but after having a bill of £474 you would expect better service, would not recommend and wouldn’t book there again !

Ordered a takeaway from here last night that I had delivered. Was so impressed with the food, it was so tasty! And when it arrived it was still piping hot and the delivery lady was lovely too! Overall very impressed and will definitely order again!

Was very disappointed with the service I received. There was a man with glasses and the way he looked at me and spoke to me was very poor . I had sports ware on as I had just finished the gym and I feel he was rude because he was looking down on me . The food was nothing like it normally was and he said he cooked it this could of been the reason . I had been there 3 times and thought it could be a regular spot . Noway now he really made me feel uncomfortable when I wanted to grab a quick takeaway and have a beer as I wait for my food . As long as he is working there I will not be back .

Outstanding Italian family eatery away from the hustle and bustle of Bournemouth. Visited on Mothering Sunday - I loved the pizza and, lasagne. Chef even whipped up a creamy penne dish for my nieces. Staff and waiters working here were excellent. Always great at cracking a joke and creating a family atmosphere! Loved it.

A "real" Italian Restaurant! First class food. First class service. Definitely intend going there again before I go home! (Spain!#)

I fancied speghetti Bolonaise and wow it was horrid it was dry tasteless. I had speghetti carbaria too and it was just mostly plain speghetti and bacon bits sauce was non existing. Garlic bread was hard and cold. Pizza was hot but it was cut up and it was doughie. Lasagne was hot and had lots of tasty sauce which my partner and daughter liked. This place was really expensive at £66 a family meal was a big mistake I won't be using this place again I'm afraid as my meal was uneatable so still hungry after spending all that money.

This week we made our first visit to Chianti and, sadly, it was a little disappointing. Our starters were OK, but nothing special; my wife had calamari and I had garlic prawns. To follow my wife had the salmon Tagliatelle, which was also OK and I had the seafood linguine. The only actual flavour to the sauce for this came from the very hot chiles that it contained. After the first piece set my mouth on fire, I picked out all of the other pieces, to avoid them, and found the underlying sauce itself to be really quite bland. I don't mind a little chile, but why do chefs these days seem to rely on them to "flavour" everything? We were sat in the conservatory area at the front of the restaurant which, as it was nice and sunny when we arrived, was very pleasant. However once the sun had gone in the conservatory cooled rapidly, so that we were actually getting quite cold by the time we left. The service was not poor, but there was no attempt to engage with us, as new customers, and despite the waiter passing our table probably 5 or 6 times while we were eating, not once were we asked whether everything was OK; not even at the end of the meal when we paid. We had high hopes for Chianti as it is within walking distance of where we moved to live just before the pandemic and this was one of our first meals out since the pandemic has eased. Sadly, we probably won't be returning.

Could have been a little hotter if I was pucky but besides that absolutely delicious pizzas!

Ok, get a cuppa, it's a long one. The good stuff first. Nice atmosphere, mostly actual Italian staff, reasonably priced, clean loos (one became unusable during service and it was quickly locked up and marked as such). Generally clean and the service was rapid. Those that had the Mussels said the sauce was very good and drained their plates. The aparagus starter was great too, lots of staff. Now for the "debatable". We all had pizza for main. For me, I found it disappointing, seemed to be oven baked (not at pizza oven temps) the base was too heavy and the toppings a bit too generous (but nice quality). Others at the table enjoyed them like this. They seemed to me to be the kind that is cooked in a steel dish. I prefer a thinner base and maybe a lighter topping. Each to their own. I ate it all, so it clearly wasn't that bad huh. The menu was like stepping back to the early 80's or late 70's. I quite like that, not trying too hard, just old style Italian restaurant fare. But if you're looking for fancy adaptations, this isn't it. Now the "not so good". There were some young ladies in the service team and I got the impression that the head waiter was pushing them to keep attending to the tables and I think this led to the service feeling rushed. For instance, right from the off we hadn't even pulled our chairs out to sit down and the young waitress was asking what we'd like to drink. We said give us a minute and she did. About a minute. Drinks ordered and she asked what we'd like to eat, we said we needed a few mins. A minute later another young lady appeared and asked if we were ready to order, we politely said no and she went away. 3rd attempt and we were ready. The food all came in reasonable time and was good or great (depending on your preferences re pizza). But better that way than waiting for ages but I think head waiter needs to stop pushing for "fast" and teach his youngsters how to read the table. I'll happily go back but next time, steer clear of the pizza and see if the other mains are better for me.

Despite being 10 mins late. The food (as usual) is cooked to perfection. Absolute chefs kiss - hands down THE best carbonara outside of Italy. First time ordering delivery, usually click and collect. But worth it all the way. Thank you Chianti <3

food good, drink service "interesting" vodka lime and soda without the lime or vodka, coke was not working but instead of admitting owner claimed its fine and a new box. food was cooked brilliantly no issues with that at all if drinks service better would have been 5star
