First time eating at Chi and was pleasantly surprised at the choice of food on the menu. All deliciously cooked and very tasty :-)

Don't visit unless you want to be served Raw chicken. The food would have been good but the whole experience was ruined when we were served raw chicken. We all had a piece of the chicken and commented on the texture, I then cut a piece up and noticed that the chicken was not cooked. The servers did apologise but not sincere or to the extent to what we actually recieved. I am highly disappointed with both the customer service recieved and the quality of food. Please see photo attached of the Korean chicken we recieved. Also have tried to contact the branch and had no response.

Great food, and great service! The atmosphere and design on the place is very good! Servers were very warm and polite. The food is very flavourful and presentation was fantastic. It takes a while to be served but that only shows that food is prepared fresh. Always love coming back to this place. We really enjoyed the dirty fries and the Korean fried chicken.

Food arrived separately so must of it was cold. Waitress leaned over someone still eating to clear plates. Staff were all arguing at the counter. Never ever pay the service charge.

Fabulous food, wonderful staff, Megan was friendly, helpful and polite, would highly recommend this pan-asian restaurant, can't wait to return, we had bang bang king prawn, Thai green curry and Jasmine rice could not fault it, lovely glass of wine and a beer. My mum and I had a lovely experience at Chi the other night, the food was so delicious and portion sizes were very generous. My favourite dish was the Korean Chicken and the dirty fries. The restaurant atmosphere was also great and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be coming back again soon!

A lovely visit as always, the waitress is extremely attentive and always makes my 6 year old feel special. Food is consistently high quality, well presented and delicious as well as being decent portions and good value.

Ordered squid what was not edible it was translucent in pots the salt and pepper batter was not sticking to it it was Larry robbery the chicken fried rice was stodgy and stuck together the chicken looked dirty fries was a bowl of solid mass of sweet potato not very advertising at all I would never even give it to my dog

Food is Excellent and Our Server sadikshya is Very Friendly and polite Always With A Smile In Her Face And Very Knowledgeable. She recommended me Beaf short rib, Chicken Teriyaki and Pork Belly. Overall Very Impressive and Excellent.

Excellent place to grab a bite before the cinema. Fresh and ridiculously tastey. Staff were fab with my nut allergy and the parking make it easy. 100% recommend!

I'll start by saying the food here is delicious, expensive but not more so than the other restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and polite. The main issue we had is the 12% service charge they automatically add onto the bill. For starters, this isn't mentioned when ordering/paying although it is stated on the menu. Secondly - this isn't America. Tips should be an optional bonus to reward good service, and the service received did not justify the £35 that was added to our bill. We had to order our drinks 3 times before they arrived halfway through the meal. The time we went before that they forgot to bring out our main dish despite there only being 2 other diners in the restaurant. I know the service charge can be removed if asked but it creates an uncomfortable atmosphere, which is why they add it. So what is the service charge for? Service? Surely that should be expected as standard when eating at a restaurant. If it's for exceptional food/service then I should be the one to decide how much to tip for it. A shame, as this soured what was otherwise an enjoyable evening with some great food.

Food well presented. Drinks were bliss! Order was delayed, but tasty on arrival. Ambience welcoming, subtle and relaxing. Our server, Sadikshya, was informative and professional and makes a mean cocktail!

Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Three of us went on Saturday afternoon around 5 pm. We had sweet and sour chicken, chow mein prawns and spring rolls. Hands down, the best Chinese we ever had in the UK. I am not easy to please and I rarely give 5 stars, but they deserved it.

Been here 3 times now. Always pop in when travelling back from Oxford to Norfolk. Food is excellent and such friendly and polite service from our server Sadikshya always with a smile. Great authentic Asian food. Well prepared and always cooked fresh.

The food itself wasn't too bad, over priced for what it was, but ok... i had a vegan bao bun and some rice, friend had small sizzling beef and rice... both really small and it was £43. The food was cold, and no check back was done. Unsurprisingly really as the service was absolutely dire. Really useless, food was sitting ready to come out for ages before we got, hence the temperature of it when arriving. Even though restaurant was dead, we were interupted so that member of staff could take the additional 2 place settings on our table away? Generally unwelcoming and just felt uncomfortable and not wanted there at all, hence we ordered less than we wanted to leave quicker. Not alot of vegan options. Wouldn't go back... there's loads of way better choices at Rushden... spend your money there instead.

We were given a 10% off voucher as we walked in.. Nice. Place was approx 1/4 full. Ordered two mains and a portion of fries to share. Fries came, then a twenty minute wait for my meal, by which time the fries were cold. Waited 15 more minutes for my daughters meal, which they'd somehow forgotten to cook? More waiting while we looked at my empty plate. Finally, ordered a couple of coffees and paid the bill. They forgot the coffees too. More wait, more reminding them, and my coffee was barely lukewarm when it arrived. Then I realised they hadn't taken the 10% off the bill despite the voucher sitting right there on the table. They didn't, however, forget to add on a 12.5% 'service charge'. LMFAO. Food was excellent, REALLY GOOD, staff were polite, service was terrible. IF I use Chi again, it will probably be through Just Eat etc. Those delivery drivers were in and out with no waiting.

The service was not great. Our order got repeated back to us and yet it was still wrong. The staff pushed quite a bit for a review. The food was very nice, however we were charged for a dish we did not have and the manager quickly gave us a refund.

First time at a Chi restaurant and i can say that Chi is really warm and friendly. The staff are very Friendly and Sweet Sadikshya who served me and we had a little Sweet Chat. She Is So Cute and Very polite. She took very good care of us and her recommendations were spot on and Amazing food and service. Thank you Sadikshya Good luck !!!!

Asked for no tomato’s and had tomatoes in in wrong sauce and also brought a cheesecake and lo and behold a brownie was delivered, quick delivery time if you don’t mind your order being wrong !!

Dined for the first time in the Rushden lakes restaurant today, excellent service, food and experience. New menu was very welcome.

Very average, very overpriced. Initially tried to go to Wagamama’s but the waiting time was too long so we thought we’d try Chi instead. Ordered two Katsu chicken curries, rice wasn’t included so we ordered two portions separately, two soft drinks, and two sides. Food was below average. Pineapple rice was dry and flavourless, food was barely warm, one of the sides came after we had already finished our mains. Waiter dropped someone else’s bill on our table whilst we were still eating our mains and left without saying a word. When we eventually received the correct bill, we were shocked when it came to almost £70!!!! Considering the food and service was way below average, and we had one soft drink each with no alcohol, frankly I think this price is absurd and I’m not sure how you can justify charging that.

We love it here, foods great and is always hot and tasty. The service on this occasion was particularly slow. I think there was some1 relatively new on shift, it wasn't busy we had to ask to be served, it was a little lacking on our visit It won't deter me from visiting again, training could do with some fine tuning

The food was yummy, we're just confused as to why there was chicken in our halloumi wrap. Also no one answers the phone so if you have allergies you better off going in.

The service is extremely poor staff just just wandering around never clearing tables or asking if we needed drinks. Ordered plenty for the four of us and they forgot most of it and we had to keep asking. The food when you get it is very very nice just the service lets it down big time! Massive improvement needed by managers to keep customers happy and wanting to come back.

We arrived on the weekday evening. Restaurant had only 2 waiters that could not keep up with the service. We waited 25min to order, then food was late, predominantly due service issues, when food finally arrived to our table it was cold, we had to chase for the cheque 4 times, disappointed with the service and food. As the night progressed waiters got more stressed and rude with time. Very oily food, not a lot of dietary options for Vegans or dairy free. Do not recommend

First time ordering from here. Unfortunately wasn’t the best experience. Missing items and one can of drink was incorrect and arrived warm so clearly refreshments aren’t stored in a fridge. The food was ok but the chips were less than desirable and rather soggy. Don’t think we’ll be ordering from here again sadly.

Food was absolutely awful, greasy and cool. We asked for starters,but the mains came first, sent it back but could not make them understand how we had ordered/ wanted our food. They did not charge for the starters or the awful burnt chicken satay, but then added on a service charge!! Which folks you DO NOT have to pay,get them to remove it. We will not be going back again.

Had a reservation for 8 people when we got there they didn’t have a table made up for us but it was ok as the restaurant was completely empty, asked for a high chair and did not bring one. Half our drinks didn’t arrive we had to ask. Waited an hour and half for one main dish to arrive after everyone else had finished their meal already. The server then removed it and added a discount because it was “ridiculous” how long we waited. However no one came over and updated us on how long it would be or if it was even still coming. Service was horrendous. Some of the food was ok but some had obviously been sat a while and tasted like it. We were also given an extra dirty fries we didn’t order, sent it back after 15 minutes when we finally got attention from a server and then it sat under a hot light for the remainder of the time we were there ready for the next person. The restaurant was not busy at all so shocking service considering. Won’t be returning.

The food itself was fine, nothing spectacular but not bad either. However the service is appalling, the waitress took forever to take our order, asked for the drinks to be brought out with the food, which she didn’t do. I think there was a language barrier there as she was then failing to understand what the issue was. Food took a while come out and the jasmine rice just wasn’t served altogether To try and slap on a 12.5% service charge is soo cheeky as no service worthy of that was provided

Went expecting to have lunch from daily specials menu. Apparently that had stopped two days previously so had to order from main menu. Very expensive, small portions, nothing special about the place, could have been in any English restaurant. Place practically empty so no atmosphere. Thai green curry was nice but the chicken in it looked, cut and tasted like frozen slices warmed up. Had to use a knife to break into mouth sized pieces but tough and not easy to cut. I regularly eat out at Indian restaurants and the chicken is always succulent and falls to pieces with a fork. Very disappointed.

Yeah, one of our favourites as a family. Food is always tasty, atmosphere is great, and the staff are friendly and happy to assist. Only critique is it can be a bit slow, usually as it's busy with lots of people eating the yummy foods!

Decided to try Chi after walking past many times, to be honest was not the best experience. The food in itself was ok not too bad, but the service was the main reason for the low stars. Had to wait for a very long time for them to take our order and when they did we waited a very long time for anything to actually eat. Also felt pretty cold when interacting with the staff and also felt like an inconvenience to even be there.

food tastes nice but nothing special. definitely not as described in the menu, very little meat in either meal ordered, salad was pretty non existent other than the ends of the lettuce core. the beast giro is definitely not beast in size, very small. The giro box has more chips than anything. definitely not worth the money, very disappointing.

Very odd evening at our first time at Chi. The main guy was very odd from the start and quite unprofessional. It took ages to get the food ordered but when it came it was lovely. Similar story with the bill which we had to chase for. Not sure will come back to this restaurant.

A lovely place with great ambiance. The food was tasty. Service was very slow, despite being a weekday Wednesday. One poor waitress run off her feet all evening. Took ages to get food. Went for my daughter's birthday and the two things she wanted (sushi and cheesecake) were not available. No sushi at all. Was there for a celebration but it was very disappointing.

Detail below, quick summary as follows: Food was high quality and tasted great with good sized portions however it was let down by poor service and complications. Loved the Northampton Chi restaurant, visited Rushden, four people ordered together (mains and a few sides), two people got their food, the other two were left waiting for mains with no explanation. The first two had finished their mains entirely before someone came over and said that both missing meals couldn’t be made as they had no noodles. They were brought menus and asked to pick a replacement meal which would be done ASAP. They did but then the waitress didn’t come back to take the order. Then the original missing meals (that they couldn’t make?) were rushed out from the kitchen and brought to the table. Think a couple of ingredients were missing from the Pad Thai but they were minor ones and the food still tasted great (again, really can’t fault how good the food is). A manager came over unprompted, apologised and assured us he would take 15% off the bill but when we went to pay, no discount had been applied and a service charge added. When paying, the staff member was unsure of how to operate the card terminal and the automated splits it was showing for the bill were random amounts. Her suggestion was to just pay them and see what happens. We ended up doing this and making five payments between four of us as we were in a rush and late for the cinema at this point. Thankfully the random amounts totalled the right overall value but we then had to sort money out between ourselves later. Really wanted to like this, it had been my recommendation, but disappointed with this visit. Thanks.

Nice food, service pretty awful apart from one server. We were told there were no noodles to make pad Thai or Ramen but then our meals arrived after the others in our party had finished. We were given 15% which was fair but felt too awkward to ask for the 12.5% service charge to be taken off. Probably wouldn’t go again.

We visited Chi with friends for the first time and we were absolutely warmed by the welcoming staff and our waitress Lila who all took the time to engage with us. paid extra for the 'Beast' also paid extra for more gyro, was pointless.. mine was the same size as my partners ( a light one) overall nice.. but don't bother paying for the upgraded sizes because they just come the same as a light one. (she also had fries in her one). that being said, it was tasty and I would order again.. although I'm still hungry.

The ambiance is really good and it feels calm in there. The food for the price is amazing, I recommend it a lot, except the fries, they are £4 for a small pot. And the staff was really kind to us, would go back there again

Staff very slow to take drinks and food order, even though it was V quiet. Main courses were excellent in every way. Sweet arrived warm on the outside but frozen in the middle. Got replaced quickly by the staff, but the replacement was no better. Had the cost refunded. Disappointed that the service charge was still added. Had that removed I've been before and it was lovely - just and off day.

Edit to say do not reply to Chris via email - I did originally & at his request and still had no response. Instead I've ben inundated with adverts for Chi. Ridiculous. Really bad experience here. The sides came out 20 minutes apart from the mains. No one wants to eat plain boiled rice after they've finished their curry. When we politely asked to remove the service charge, we were told "its tapas, it comes out separately." A full portion of curry and a burger are not tapas, the omission of a side is so that you have to spend £4.50 extra on rice. Extremely expensive, incredibly rude staff and 'optional' service charge clearly wasn't optional. The burger was cold when it arrived, it had clearly been waiting to be assembled as the chefs were focussed on the delivery orders before the restaurant ones.

First visit on the evening of 9 March. We were welcomed and shown to the table in a very friendly and professional manner. The food was of good quality. However the waiting service was at best appalling. We were served by 2 different young ladies, neither engaged, neither delivered very well and both has attitude. Every greeting was "guys" we never ever received the "Prawn Crackers for the table" as initially offered. I have never seen such a disorganised demotivated, disinterested work force (every mber of waiting staff was wandering about the establishment with a completely disinterested expression on their face and one was witnessed rolling her eyes after walking away from a table). Based on the service and attitude we received we will never use a Chi restaurant again. (we did feedback to the person who said he was one of the managers, he agreed with everything we fed back and used the excuse the venue had not had a General Manager for 6 months, the new one having only started in the last couple of days but she had gone home)

A bit dissapointed. Had to wait 40 min until food was served. Had to ask about it as well. Ramen noodles way overcooked. Dragon roll sushi is missing flavour. Rice is flat. No wasabi. Many people seems to be around, but no one is looking after you or asking if u need anything. Also, there is service charge, for quite bad service. Not coming back.

The food we had was lovely, it was a shame that we only had 1 of the 4 things we ordered. We arrived and our order was taken instantly which was good but it took over an hour to receive one of the 4 things we ordered. We ended up asking for the bill and leaving. The staff were lovely but the wait time of over an hour for a small bowl of 4 pieces of chicken was ridiculous.

Yum! Came in for lunch. We got a table easily without booking. Food arrived quickly. Loved the dragon sushi roll. Was the first visit and definitely not the last.

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this time I have to. We got to the restaurant and did not even get acknowledged. Finally somebody saw us and took us to a table. We ordered drinks, starters and mains. After about 10 minutes we got the starter, but no sign of the drinks. After another 20 minutes we got the rest of the food and still no sign of the drinks. We asked one of the staff and they said that they will chase it up. Finally after another 15 minutes we got the drinks. There was a large party there so we understood that they were busy with that table, but it was like all the other tables weren't important anymore and they were focused only on that big table. There was another party next to us and noticed that when they got the food they didn't even have cutlery. The staff didn't even notice until the people at that table asked them twice for cutlery. I can't say anything bad about the food as it was delicious. Service was terrible and was still charged for it. The only quick thing about the service was bringing the bill.
