My wife and I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Chi last Saturday! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully inviting atmosphere. The food was nothing short of spectacular - every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced spices. We especially loved little crispy dumplings. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was perfect. If you're looking for an incredible Asian dining experience, this is the place to go. We can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!

We visited your restaurant for our Valentine’s Day dinner and opted for the three-course meal. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory, and we wanted to share our honest feedback. For starters, we ordered momo and bang bang king prawns. The momo had a slightly hard texture, and the dipping sauce lacked flavor. As for the prawns, they tasted plain, with just a coating and no real seasoning or distinct flavor. For the main course, we had chicken teriyaki skewers and beef yakitori. The chicken dish was decent, but the beef was extremely tough. It was difficult to remove from the skewer and even harder to chew, making it an unpleasant experience. We considered raising the issue at the time but decided against it. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate fondant, which tasted good. However, after having it, we both started feeling unwell. Unfortunately, we ended up with severe stomach issues later that night. Overall, our experience was highly disappointing. The quality of the food did not meet expectations, and the aftereffects were even worse. Due to this, we will not be returning, nor will we be recommending your restaurant to others. We hope you take this feedback seriously and work towards improving your food quality.

Food was delicious. Portions are a very good size will definitely go back. Service was slow and had to try catch staff for more drinks and the bill but was busy.

My first experience in Chi Rushden .We really enjoyed the meal by chef Arun.It was a really welcoming experience with Jarena Jose. She managed to help us with choosing the menu with her pleasant smile.Highly recommended Asian restaurant.

Very nice place. I wanted to try something new, and it was very tasty 😋 I ordered Salmon sushi (forgot to take a picture), and chicken dumplings ramen. Salmon sushi is a bit spicy but very nice and ramen very good. For dessert I ordered sticky toffee pudding, it's wasn't bad but I eaten much better ones.

The vegan bao bun was very good and tasty and well priced at only £6 loaded with sauce and flavour so much it dripped on my clothes. This led to me being so very disappointed with the bang bang cauliflower, it was just mayo and chives with batter fried cauliflower in a small bowl for £10.50, which lacked flavour and left me feeling empty and let down. I questioned the server to see if there was a mistake but they just told me it was correct and before I could say anything they walked away. I once again asked a different server if the bang bang cauliflower was correct because at other places I've had it has been flavourful with some sort of heat. They replied it is just covered in sriacha mayo but mine was white and just tasted of mayo. Also they brought the menu to me which was good, and it said chilli mayo and chives which sounded better then what I was served. Overall the menu seemed to be lacking in exciting fulfilling vegan meals and seemed quite basic. The decor was nice however the atmosphere was not something that would've drew me back and the air felt tense the majority of the time but that's probably largely the fault of me coming at 4pm on a Sunday and I don't put much fault on those running the establishment. They had a service charge of £7.38 when the service could've been improved, due to the long waiting time to be served and inattentive staff. It was quite empty when we were there yet it seemed like the servers were too busy for us and when we did interact they seemed disengaged or preoccupied. They did offer a 15% discount for our reviews which I didn't want to leave because ik I was going to leave an unsavoury review and prehaps leave a stain on this restaurants reputation, so I tried to tell the server that I was going to leave a poor review to see if they would still want it, and they just nodded kind of. So i went ahead and wrote a negative review and still got the discount. It got rid of the service charge and 2.5% of the remaining bill. I do apologise for how offended I was in the restaurant and I could've worded my grievences better. Instead I came off as obnoxious and rude, which I regret because I had no intention of making any ones day worse. However, I feel I might've caused this. Ik that I handled it poorly and that was reflected in my previous review but upon immediate regret and some reflection I thought to at least try to correct it in some manner. My friends whilst at the establishment did offer reassurance to the server and acted socially adept. So luckily the entire interaction between the employee and customer was not entirely negative. I'm very sorry for my poor manners and I did disgrace myself. It was my first time complaining so outwardly because I usually would not complain to not inconvenience anyone but the money it felt I lost caused me to speak up. Yet, It was so terribly worded and spoken that I did inconvenience the server which I'm extremely sorry and will continue to regret. Even after this you still continued to treat me well when I handled it so poorly and was an unpleasant human being to be around. P.s it doesn't matter too much but just to clarify and explain, I spoke with a salty, triggered, upset tone of voice and was very direct with the problems I had. Which was rude and obnoxious. I should've worded it more delicately in a more cheerful tone. The way I was treated and what I felt was done wrong is no excuse for the way I acted.

First time eating here and it won't be the last! Really lovely food and covers a wide range of Asian delicacies so always something for everyone

We have gone to chi several times but last night was amazing thanks to Jerena Jose. She was so good in understanding all Our requests and looked after us so well. She made some amazing recommendations. Food was really good. Great Service , beautiful environment and wonderful food is guaranteed at chi.

I am vegetarian and ordered veggie spring rolls, one of them was duck which I realised half way through a big bite 😔 managed to spit most of it out but probably did eat a little. So awful imagine if that was to someone with a severe allergy. Chaos restaurant, the waitresses were all lovely but quite odd no one came to clear our plates for ages when we were obviously finished. Mid food for the price. Busy atmosphere which isn’t for us.

Do not eat here for your own health and safety. I ate here on Sunday evening 03/11/2024. I ordered the chicken satay skewers. I ate a bit and noticed the chicken was extremely pink and the texture looked undercooked. I complained and the waitress was friendly and took the plate to the kitchen and came back with a replacement plate. That chicken was also pink on the inside. I stupidly ate it assuming they checked the temperature of the chicken and that everything would be fine. The following evening (Monday 04/11/2024) I was throwing up and had diarrhea. I have no doubt in my mind that the vomitting and diarrhea was caused by the pink chicken satay skewers. Please, if you read this, eat elsewhere.

very over priced and not like an authentic gyros. very disappointed

Me and my boyfriend came here the other day for our anniversary. It was our first time coming to Chi and we were quite excited as we love Asian cuisine. However, we are very disappointed as my boyfriend now has food poisoning. He ordered a chicken satay dish which sounded lovely but when it came and he cut up the chicken it was very pink and raw. We asked our server if they can bring a new one which they did, and we thought it would be okay as it was less pink so my boyfriend ate it. The next day my boyfriend was severely sick and had to take the day off work. I am so disappointed and angry at how careless the chef was after we asked for a new one. Safe to say we will never be coming back to Chi again.

We have been there before, it was always nice. This time the food wasn't brilliant, also our cheesecake has just been taken out from the freezer and it was still frozen that we couldn't cut it

Had lunch today. The food was so salty we could not finish it. The beef curry had a lot of raw ginger in it. I have been to a couple of CHI restaurants, they were very good. This one is not.

Very greasy tacos I would avoid, terrible customer service

The food was absolutely delicious, really lovely and attentive staff too. Will definitely be coming back! The chicken chow mein was cooked to perfection and the dirty fries were so good. The satay chicken skewers were also delicious and liked the extra sauce on the side too. The food also came really quickly, and was piping hot too.

We were sat in a booth, left for 15 mins and then begged (yes, begged) by the waitress to move to a tiny little table in the middle of the restaurant because they wanted to fit more people in… the only reason we didn’t leave at that point was because everywhere else was full. The food itself was lovely, however, be prepared to receive it in dribs and drabs. I enjoy the tapas style dining, but receiving prawn crackers when we had nearly finished our food is ridiculous, they should come out first. It’s also a good job both of us were sharing as if we ordered separate mains we wouldn’t have eaten together. It’s a real shame that the service resulted in an overall bad experience.

We ate out at Chi tonight for the first time and we were both shocked at how amazing our experience was from start to finish! We were greeted by Lexi who was very welcoming and helpful. The food came out quickly and was possibly the best meal I’ve had all year! Thank you so much for having us, we will both definitely be back and will be recommending Chi at Rushdens lakes to all our friends and family!

went here for my birthday with a few friends and was lovely!!! gave me free dessert with sweet chocolate writing saying "happy birthday" :)! the staff were incredibly friendly, really personable and nice to chat to. would absolutely come again; their nasi goreng was delicious too!!!

Not sure what happened with my order. I ordered the vegan gyros box with seitan, but I'm pretty sure that I was given the mighty chickn one. The fries were also separated this time around.

It was our first time to eat in this place and it was just a last minute decision. We were so glad we ended up here because all the food we ordered were so good! The 24-hour Korean short rib grill is a must try! At first the food might seem a bit pricey but considering the taste and portion, I think it is justifiable. The ambience is very cosy and the service is superb.

We went for a birthday meal for our daughter and loved the food, but unfortunately the service let our visit down this time. We were asked if we’d like prawn crackers, said yes, but they never arrived. I ordered a white wine and was brought rose - I didn’t say anything as I don’t like to complain and do enjoy rose so wasn’t too fussed. But then our chicken satay had a few pieces of chicken that looked undercooked, this time we did tell the waitress and she apologised, but there was no offer to take it away, replace it, or take it off the bill. Then once our plates were cleared we waited a while hoping for a dessert menu but then had to catch the waitress’ eye and ask, for her to then bring the bill, not the menu. Needless to say we didn’t order desserts. After paying, we then noticed we’d been charged for the prawn crackers. We decided at that point to not leave a tip - something we would usually always do. Bit of a shame as we do love it here.

Why did the three kitchen staff bother wearing head coverings when the front of house staff keep continuely enter and dwell in the food preparation area?

First of all, we waited such a long time for our order to be taken. The order was meant to be for two people, but food arrived only for one. Lastly, I have received only the starter and my main came in a takeaway box. The food was also very bad, sushi were cold as they were taken out of the fridge. Don’t waste your time and money in this place.

We love this restaurant, we had not visited in a few months, the food is tasty but was somehow was better this evening. Our server Sadikshya was lovely, all the staff are so welcoming and attentive even on a busy Friday evening.

The table was sticky, the waitres forgot to bring me a menu, and the food was uninspiring and overpriced. The sauces were served in little plastic cups, and the small paper napkins were as thin as cheap recycled loo paper. The waitres didn't bother to check if everything was edible and brought the card machine before she had made up the bill. There is a service charge added to the bill, even for parties of one. The chicken I ate was bland, and despite being burnt on the outside was still dark pink inside, I ended up not finishing my meal. Although I ordered two dishes from the set menu, I was charged for the 'service', which brought the total to over 20 pounds. It was a disappointing meal. However, the chairs were comfy, so there was that as something nice I can say about the experience.

Very disappointing. We had gyros in MK few feels ago and it was amazing so was really excited to see we can order gyros so close home. Unfortunately food could not be compared to other one. Small portion with only few chips. Also not very tasty.

I enjoyed the food and so did my friends. Would have liked the green curry a bit more spicy but it’s hard to get it right for everyone. The decor is nice and seating comfortable. You need to be aware that an automatic service charge of 12.5% is added. I do not like this. I always tip good service but when someone takes the tip automatically I feel that is wrong. For that reason I would be reluctant to return. I did ask them to change it to 10% which they did but it should be customer choice to add it

We went tonight for dinner for my husbands birthday. Our first time at Chi. We enjoy trying different places. The atmosphere was lovely as soon as you entered. We were greeted by Namrata who was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Very attentive and checked on us throughout our meal. Another lovely staff member complimented our children and said how well behaved they were which was lovely to hear. The food was incredible, very tasty, good portions. My husband was surpised by a desert with a candle and fruit which was a lovely touch. Great prices. We eat out quite often and the overall service and experience from here was probably the best in a long time. Thank you. 😊

Yummy food, friendly and polite staff would definitely return!

Don't visit unless you want to be served Raw chicken. The food would have been good but the whole experience was ruined when we were served raw chicken. We all had a piece of the chicken and commented on the texture, I then cut a piece up and noticed that the chicken was not cooked. The servers did apologise but not sincere or to the extent to what we actually recieved. I am highly disappointed with both the customer service recieved and the quality of food. Please see photo attached of the Korean chicken we recieved. Also have tried to contact the branch and had no response.

Great food, and great service! The atmosphere and design on the place is very good! Servers were very warm and polite. The food is very flavourful and presentation was fantastic. It takes a while to be served but that only shows that food is prepared fresh. Always love coming back to this place. We really enjoyed the dirty fries and the Korean fried chicken.

Food arrived separately so must of it was cold. Waitress leaned over someone still eating to clear plates. Staff were all arguing at the counter. Never ever pay the service charge.

My mum and I had a lovely experience at Chi the other night, the food was so delicious and portion sizes were very generous. My favourite dish was the Korean Chicken and the dirty fries. The restaurant atmosphere was also great and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be coming back again soon!

Ordered squid what was not edible it was translucent in pots the salt and pepper batter was not sticking to it it was Larry robbery the chicken fried rice was stodgy and stuck together the chicken looked dirty fries was a bowl of solid mass of sweet potato not very advertising at all I would never even give it to my dog

Food is Excellent and Our Server sadikshya is Very Friendly and polite Always With A Smile In Her Face And Very Knowledgeable. She recommended me Beaf short rib, Chicken Teriyaki and Pork Belly. Overall Very Impressive and Excellent.

I'll start by saying the food here is delicious, expensive but not more so than the other restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and polite. The main issue we had is the 12% service charge they automatically add onto the bill. For starters, this isn't mentioned when ordering/paying although it is stated on the menu. Secondly - this isn't America. Tips should be an optional bonus to reward good service, and the service received did not justify the £35 that was added to our bill. We had to order our drinks 3 times before they arrived halfway through the meal. The time we went before that they forgot to bring out our main dish despite there only being 2 other diners in the restaurant. I know the service charge can be removed if asked but it creates an uncomfortable atmosphere, which is why they add it. So what is the service charge for? Service? Surely that should be expected as standard when eating at a restaurant. If it's for exceptional food/service then I should be the one to decide how much to tip for it. A shame, as this soured what was otherwise an enjoyable evening with some great food.

Excellent place to grab a bite before the cinema. Fresh and ridiculously tastey. Staff were fab with my nut allergy and the parking make it easy. 100% recommend!

Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Three of us went on Saturday afternoon around 5 pm. We had sweet and sour chicken, chow mein prawns and spring rolls. Hands down, the best Chinese we ever had in the UK. I am not easy to please and I rarely give 5 stars, but they deserved it.

The food itself wasn't too bad, over priced for what it was, but ok... i had a vegan bao bun and some rice, friend had small sizzling beef and rice... both really small and it was £43. The food was cold, and no check back was done. Unsurprisingly really as the service was absolutely dire. Really useless, food was sitting ready to come out for ages before we got, hence the temperature of it when arriving. Even though restaurant was dead, we were interupted so that member of staff could take the additional 2 place settings on our table away? Generally unwelcoming and just felt uncomfortable and not wanted there at all, hence we ordered less than we wanted to leave quicker. Not alot of vegan options. Wouldn't go back... there's loads of way better choices at Rushden... spend your money there instead.

The service was not great. Our order got repeated back to us and yet it was still wrong. The staff pushed quite a bit for a review. The food was very nice, however we were charged for a dish we did not have and the manager quickly gave us a refund.

We were given a 10% off voucher as we walked in.. Nice. Place was approx 1/4 full. Ordered two mains and a portion of fries to share. Fries came, then a twenty minute wait for my meal, by which time the fries were cold. Waited 15 more minutes for my daughters meal, which they'd somehow forgotten to cook? More waiting while we looked at my empty plate. Finally, ordered a couple of coffees and paid the bill. They forgot the coffees too. More wait, more reminding them, and my coffee was barely lukewarm when it arrived. Then I realised they hadn't taken the 10% off the bill despite the voucher sitting right there on the table. They didn't, however, forget to add on a 12.5% 'service charge'. LMFAO. Food was excellent, REALLY GOOD, staff were polite, service was terrible. IF I use Chi again, it will probably be through Just Eat etc. Those delivery drivers were in and out with no waiting.

First time at a Chi restaurant and i can say that Chi is really warm and friendly. The staff are very Friendly and Sweet Sadikshya who served me and we had a little Sweet Chat. She Is So Cute and Very polite. She took very good care of us and her recommendations were spot on and Amazing food and service. Thank you Sadikshya Good luck !!!!

Asked for no tomato’s and had tomatoes in in wrong sauce and also brought a cheesecake and lo and behold a brownie was delivered, quick delivery time if you don’t mind your order being wrong !!

Dined for the first time in the Rushden lakes restaurant today, excellent service, food and experience. New menu was very welcome.

Very average, very overpriced. Initially tried to go to Wagamama’s but the waiting time was too long so we thought we’d try Chi instead. Ordered two Katsu chicken curries, rice wasn’t included so we ordered two portions separately, two soft drinks, and two sides. Food was below average. Pineapple rice was dry and flavourless, food was barely warm, one of the sides came after we had already finished our mains. Waiter dropped someone else’s bill on our table whilst we were still eating our mains and left without saying a word. When we eventually received the correct bill, we were shocked when it came to almost £70!!!! Considering the food and service was way below average, and we had one soft drink each with no alcohol, frankly I think this price is absurd and I’m not sure how you can justify charging that.
