I have ordered masala dosa and poori masala and waited for 40 mins for them to serve the food. Along with that i have ordered 2 fried rice and chilli chicken for take away at the same time of ordering the dine in. The customer service is very bad and after i ate all i have waited around 20 mins for the parcel. One of worst food i had in my life. Not recomended to anyone. Customer service is very bad as well.

The only decent dish was the dosa; everything else was completely flavorless, especially the veg biryani, which had no taste whatsoever. I definitely won’t be coming back to this place. The atmosphere was terrible, with a bad smell lingering around, making it feel like a complete waste of money. The staff were robotic, merely asking, "Do you need anything else?" To top it off, no spoons or napkins were provided with the dosa.

Visited for the first time. The food was tasty and perfect spice levels. And friendly staff. Loved it

I ordered one Deal 2 chicken curry rice porial. SOOO BAAD When I got the delivery the Carrots Porial was spoiled and smell soo disgusting like one week no removed garbage smell. There is no food safety matters in this Chennai Dosa restaurant and it’s really chance of food poisoning. Food authorities need to focus on eyes on this jokers.

Poor customer service and took the order 30 minutes ago and paid as well . After 30 minutes they came back and said it’s busy they cannot complete the order . Sitting there for 30 minutes for nothing .if you gonna serve only for family then just tell us we will go somewhere else . I don’t recommend this place for a family outing …. Even take away food also cannot eat very dry

Ghee roast it’s really too crispy and well and nicely looking. Parrota s with chicken Chettinad curry good taste to eat.i guve four star because ambience it’s not literally comfortable.

I ordered chole bhature and one raita from uber eats, they delivered me one bhatura and 2 spoons of channa, raita was full of onions, it looked like one spoon of yogurt on onion while it should be onion in raita, but ufff it was just onions no yogurt at all. And the amount of channa, ridiculous. Only 2 spoons, i could count the numbers of channa. And no gravy was in there, i had to eat the bhatura with a cup of tea cos the channa wasn’t enough even for one bhatura. Bharuta was all broken i used spoon to eat like we do for rice. It was a horrible order in my life. They should have thought before delivering that little amount of food in the amount if £12.00. Ridiculous and horrible food

Avoid at all cost! First we ordered our drinks and starters, along with our mains as usual. They brought our mains before our starters, to make it even better one of the mains were completely wrong. So we requested the correct main. They then brought our starters. I ordered a chicken naan to eat with my curry which they brought out when I had finished my meal. Highly disappointed in the whole meal and service. £40 wasted.

We had gone a group of 15 people and we call them and confirmed reservation, when we are there they had given the seats to someone. There is no communication with the customers or colleagues. And we had to be seat next to washing area and the kitchen. And our group seated in 3 different places. The floor was dirty and looks like cleaned so long. And the seats was also dirty ( can refer the photos ) The food was ok. Masala Dosa was good and the Chinese dishes too. Kothu porotta was below average for me. Vada was ok and the chatni was good. I won’t go again and won’t bring my friends. Or can go with take away. NOTE : It’s CASH ONLY and NHS Disc. Only weekdays.

Really nice food and service I would like to come here again

I've always had a bad experience with the Chennai Dosa chain. Especially with the Smethwick branch. So, I had very low expectations when I visited this place. But to my very sweet surprise, the food was the closest to what authentic south Indian food I've had in a while. We went for an oothappam combo for meat thali. The pappad got a bit soaked in moisture as it was over the oothappam. But other than that, the way the meat was cooked, the taste of rasam, curry, Dal and everything else was just perfect. The only reason I haven't given 5 is because they didn't have an option for different rice types. Sona masoori or long grain in the place of basmati would give a much better and authentic experience. The beeda felt a bit stale. It might be because we had it a bit late after we got it from here. But apart from these two minor points, the whole experience was just brilliant. Please note that this place is cash only and the nearest card machine is either in Sainsbury's or 400m away in Londis (which is currently out of service).

Worth coming to this place for real authentic taste of Indian cuisine in the entire UK. I will specially recommend for Chicken lollipops and Mutton biryani. Staff is also friendly and helpful. 🙏

A special thanks to Chef Kutty at this restaurant. We go here almost daily. It’s always nice to meet the chef, who always greets us with a smile, and makes the tastiest food. We go here specially for his chicken biryani and idli sambar. His chicken biryani is the best we’ve had in the UK. We hope Kutty stays at this branch forever as it’s close to us.

I just loved it . We are looking for an Indian style restaurant and this is the best place . We had chicken and mutton biryani , both are amazing with authentic Indian spices. Would love to visit again. 💯

We dine here regularly. Idli sambar and chicken biryani are our usuals, both of which are the tastiest in the area. Jalal uncle, Ubai uncle and all the chefs are very friendly and welcoming. A homely atmosphere, a friendly service and an extensive menu. I chose butter masala dosa and it was out of this world. I usually have a plain masala dosa which is delicious as well but this was lovely as well.

We have recently found this place as a good one for dine in and take away, Tasty food, good service By Mr Jalal almost every time we been there, reasonable prices and lot's of varities of food, We enjoyed very well.

They charged me 3,pounds for coconut chutney ,first two visits last time they charged me 3 pounds and fifty pence, I always buy 2 trays , he said he put the price up, carnt buy with card ,cash always. I have eaten in the restaurant, OK, there's a good dosa hut Dudley Rd, .

Ordered a mutton biriyani for take away yesterday ,got home and opened the box, very disappointed.only 2 small mutton pieces and it was just bone,they should have told not to order if they don’t have sufficient items.it was just rice.dont know if it is because it is night time and they ran out.had same issue while dining once so asked the waiter to have a look,immediately got some mutton pieces.I will never order mutton biriyani again.didnt like the way the person in the billing talks to staff and he was scolding the waiter a lot in front of customers.

I am going there regularly since few weeks now and very disappointed with few things. 1. They don’t pay attention to customer’s needs. They have this poster of veg buffet that they will serve on weekends. I ordered that. The man got me veg thali, when asked, he said they haven’t got buffet. (This should be cleared initially while taking order). I kept my calm and ate the food as i was hungry. If they don’t have particular thing then either remove the poster or clear to customer when they are ordering. 2. Service is very slow. Even though there are very less customers, they always bring food late when we order the breakfast meals (unlimited), leaving us no time to order more. 3. At some occasion we were not provided with bills. He would say that machine is not working. He will always say rounded money and not the actual amount. I don’t like to argue and create scene so I don’t tell him anything for 10p/20p. But this is very unprofessional.

Made an order of pakora, gobi 65, dosa. The pakora and gobi didn’t seem fresh and were frozen, which were stone cold. The sarmbar was stone cold. The vegetables used in the dosa were looked like they were from a frozen bag from the supermarket. Not a high standard of quality.

Left after waiting 30 minutes, the waiter had absolutely no intention of serving us, after 20 mins he even cleared a table next to us. Considering we had been there that long without even being asked about drinks clearing the table could have waited. Shame as was really looking forward to eating there.

The food has been delicious so far, but today I'm disappointed. Paneer was dry. Chicken Kotthu Parotta - a much smaller portion than usual. Naan - not freshly baked. I hope this is just a one-time mistake

We had amazing, tasty Veg Biriyani which was mild and sumptuous. Usually restaurants put a powder on top which makes it taste uncooked. However, this wasn’t the case here. MUST TRY! ✨✨

It was very nice experience for me. Myself and whole family together visited few days back and had food. Vegetarian and nonvegetarian both are good, good service. I would like to highly recommend. Today we will be visiting visiting again.

I love their food and have been a regular customer but recently their food is nothing but spicy. No matter what I order, it’s full of chillies. The biryani is so spicy that it burns my throat and stomach. Why don’t you make it so that the ones who don’t eat that spicy can have it too. Extremely disappointed and my money seems to be going down the drain every order. To whoever is reading this, please don’t order if you can’t take spice. The food literally makes you cry. I hope the management does something about it.

Very very poor service. We went inside and ordered for takeaway when the food was ready and we ready to pay, 'we don't accept card go up the road and draw the money ' said the man with attitude from the get go.

Best place to experience Indian food

Food is decent (especially the dosas) and cheap but the venue itself feels cold and isn't as pleasant as it could be. Had a problem with a takeaway order which was rectified quickly.

Perfect place for south Indian food. We had breakfast where you will get unlimited dosa along with other south indian food. Everything was very tasty and in good quantity. I will highly recommend this place. Their chicken biriyani is also awesome.

Went with my sister and Mum. Dosas were good size. We asked for medium spice and it was made very well. Enjoyed the experience. Good friendly family business. Shrimati and family very kind and accommodating. Also good price. Cash only however.. ATM close by. :)

Do recommend a lot of free parking on the street next to it. The restaurant only takes cash if you dine in. I had the chicken biriyani, and it was not bad, but the chicken to rice ratio was terrible but it was nice. The rest of the family enjoyed their food, and their dosa is nice. It is a little bit disorganised as plates were getting confused. But it was good food.

Absolutely appalling experience!!.. The term running a p**s up in a brewery comes to mind!!… service was abysmal.. my father my daughter and I went together.. I asked for 2 masala dosa and 1 paneer noodles to start with.. my father and I had almost finished our dosa before my daughters noodles came out.. the staff had absolutely no sense of urgency at all even after I explained that we have come out together and would like to eat TOGETHER!! Then the lamb biryani comes out.. the rice was all clumped together and my daughter said that looks as if cooked from frozen.. the rice was Luke warm and LOW AND BEHOLD the lamb was stone cold!! What was meant to be a nice family evening out was totally ruined by their backward service and third rate food!! Would give zero stars if possible.. I CAN NOT discourage you enough!..DO NOT EAT HERE!!..

Chennai Dosa is the best place for authentic South Indian cuisine in the UK. I’ve tried over a dozen places all over the country and this is the best for South Indian dishes mainly the great biriyani and all other veg and non veg curries. The spices are right, meat is well cooked and gravy’s are awesome too. The wolverhampton restaurant is family friendly too and the ambience is great. This is now an every weekend visit.

There is no difference between veg, chicken and mutton kothu because you will not find any chicken or mutton piece in it !!!!! 🙄

Always check your items when you are collecting. Came back home and found one of the items ordered was missing. When rang about it the person asked me to come back and collect it. They would not refund £ £5.50 I was owed. Terrible service. Ordered food was also poor.

Food is very bad taste, need more improvement in making dishes. and you are damaging the name chennai Dosa, It was a scam that only accepting CASH . and that rasam is served the last bit of wastage, we ordered one portion of rasam and you given additional one and mentioned as compliment and they made bill for that as well. we asked you the podi idli and you given fried idly. chettinad kari dosa is very horrible.
