Chees Pizza in Stevenage - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

We have been using Cheese (it seems that the final "e" is part of it) for very many years. For a long time, their legendary 20" pizzas were £10 but they have recently started to go up in price. Whatever the price was, has always been clear in the past. We tried to order online today but were unable to do so because when we put our postcode into their website it only showed the first half of the list of possible addresses. Ours would be in the second half. We phoned them instead. The website had made us expect our pizza to cost about £16. The chap on the phone said it would be about £14. The chap who delivered it charged us about £18. This is no good at all. The pizza itself though was really, really nice and very, very big. We will use them again but they really need to get both their website and their pricing together.

We have ordered from here a lot over the last few years and recommended to many people, but sadly, after last night that has changed: I ordered from their own website a create your own pizza (4 toppings) with black olives, sweetcorn, pineapple & pepperoni. There is a place for notes re the order, so I added 'please could you put the pepperoni only on half of the pizza'. (My wife and daughter are vegetarian). The pizza arrived and when we sat down to eat, I opened the pizza to find there was no pepperoni, but chicken all over it. I called straight away and spoke to a young lady (very politely). I explained and she said they would send another one out. I reiterated to her to make sure the pepperoni was only on half the pizza as my wife and daughter are vegetarian. She confirmed this. The second pizza arrived, and again we sat down to eat. I opened it to find this one did have pepperoni, but it was all over the pizza. I phoned straight away and spoke to the young lady who i had spoken to earlier. I explained what had happened and she said that that is extra as it is half and half! I asked why she didn't mention this when I called earlier and she didn't know what to say. I then asked for the manager. I explained to him that I had ordered on their website and left notes. He said 'we don't read the notes as people often ask for free things'!! I said what's the point of having somewhere to write notes then. He said I need to get in touch with the website. What does that mean. I asked him to send another one out and all he kept saying was contact the website and the pizza is more as it is half and half (even though the create your own is 4 toppings and one half would have only had 3!!). My wife then called to further explain, but he didn't want to listen or admit they had made a mistake. He said he would make another one but we would have to collect. We said that wasn't an option. She asked for the owners name, but he said the owner was out and refused to give it to her. He then said he was going to block our number and doesn't want our business anymore. He was so rude and has lost good business. If you do order from here, I hope you have a much better experience than us!

Ordered a pizza through just eat and the pizza was sent to the wrong address. So we called cheese pizza 4 times saying we have ordered a pizza to the wrong address and they constantly gave us abuse, called us stupid, said we weren’t stupid and were interrupting us constantly over the phone. When asked to speak to a manager, we was told it was the manager yet we was being spoken to awfully and he was threatening us. We have now lost £15 because they didn’t listen to us and was rude to us. Will never buy from here again and am definitely going to make a much more serious complaint to make sure something goes further after having £15 taken from us and being given abuse and horrible service over the phone. Disrespectful company and horrible customer service. Wouldn’t recommend buy from here ever.

We always get pizza from here and its always been lovely. I have never had any problems and they have a really good variety of toppings to choose from. I would recommend coming here to get food.

Great value £10 for a 20” pizza! But the dough tasted like normal bread not pizza dough. There was pretty much no pizza sauce, you wouldn’t mind paying an extra couple of quid if they would get that right. Won’t be ordering again as you can get a much better pizza for the same price elsewhere.

Don't even bother giving this place a chance.. 1 hour, 20 minutes after ordering the complicated delivery of; 1x 20" meaty one with pineapple It finally arrived! The delivery guy was Eastern European and as he passed me the box he admitted the pizza was cold and I'd have to call the shop to complain. When I asked him why it was cold and took so long he told me a Polish guy had tried to deliver it but couldn't find the address. When I looked at the address on the receipt it was all correct other then the street name which I know they could of found from the postcode.. Also no one called to say they was having difficulty finding the address 🤔 I called the shop to complain and asked for a refund. I even offered the pizza back to them as it was no good for us. I was told they'd send out another pizza.. I made it clear we didn't want another pizza as we was going out and had waited long enough for the first disappointment, but I was told it was already cooking.. We wasn't bothered about getting the 2nd diss appointment so carried on getting ready to leave when all of a sudden another pizza guy showed up but with a hot pizza box! Unfortunately what was inside only looked like pizza. It tasted like a 20" doughy disappointment. Neither myself or my partner had more then a few bites as we believe they'd done something to it.. All together it was a complete WASTE.. Waste of time, Waste of food, Waste of money JUST WASTE

so disappointed we always order from them and have been very loyal yet when I called to say they had got our order wrong they said it was our fault and would have to reorder and it was up to us if we ordered from them again even though they acknowledged we were regulars . Order from mr toppings instead we will be .

I order from chees pizza all the time...the massive 18" pizzas are delicious! The amazing price of £9.99 is a total bargain for how nice they are...they are on the Just Eat site so simple to order and delivery is quick. Definitely worth a try!

If this is the right pizza place it's called 'Cheers' or 'Cheese' now apparently they change the name to avoid bad food hygiene ratings but that could be rumours. Anyway we ordered a large Meatfeast, garlic bread and BBQ chicken wings. The wings were slimey and weren't very nice tasting, the pizza was good value for size but the toppings were poor, garlic bread tasted microwaved as well although that could be the bag it's put in.

Apparently a real Italian guy owns this place but it's run by Eastern Europeans which I think lets its authenticity down. Pizza is it very nice at all and the variety is poor. Base of one of my pizzas was green. Not sure if this was bad but I didn't eat it.

Ordered there signiture large pizza was undercooked cold base was soft spongy texture due to lack of baking by about 10 minutes! !! Had 1 bite and it went in the bin waste of money I then realise they recieved only 1 food hygiene score!! I would take that away give them none. It was vile
