Pretty garden. Very small toilet so not disabled or larger person friendly at all. The pastries are expensive but great quality and an extra £1 for condiment which they defs need. Staff friendly enough. Nice they have shops as always enjoyed getting from markets.

What a great discovery! Finally tried this place today after wanting to for a while, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. The empanadas are delicious (and I'm quite picky, I must admit), and the staff are incredibly welcoming and delightful. We’ll definitely go back and can’t recommend this place enough! 🫶🏼

I recently discovered Chacarero and have visited multiple times! Their empanadas are delicious, the chimichuri sauce is too good and they have a selection of sweet things too which are also yummy! The atmosphere is lovely and cosy and I like sitting into eat! Great little spot!

The empanadas here had a healthier twist with a lighter, less buttery exterior, though still tasty. While the beef center was a bit cold, it was generously filled. Following the recommendation of the friendly waitresses, I tried both the ham and cheese, and beef empanadas. Both were delicious and juicy, with the ham and cheese one perfectly complementing the chimichurri sauce. The dulce de leche iced latte was good, but it seemed to use flavor syrup instead of real dulce de leche, and the ice had a strange taste. The welcoming atmosphere created by the lovely staff added to the bright and chilled interior, making the experience enjoyable. The chimichurri sauce added an authentic touch to the meal.

Makes my wife not miss Argentina as much and the owners are amazing! All of the flavours are great, my wife's favourite is the beef and mine is the Humita/sweetcorn (which as a non-vegetarian is a big thing, but its just so good) with the Choripanada a close second! One day I dream of the Fugazetta coming back... it's not like a normal English cheese & onion! The atmosphere in the shop is always so nice and welcoming, but we have also done the delivery service which works great too! Especially as we travel over an hour to come especially! Great work Juan & Janet! We can't wait until we're next there!

Love the garden seating area. Chill and comfortable. We tried 3 flavours, love the beef one the most. The chimichurri sauce was dominated by saltiness, would be fantastic to showcase the taste of fresh herbs and other ingredients.

Quiet and relaxed atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. There is a nice range of empanadas, I tried the Chimi chicken and the Sausage one. Both were a good size and not skimpy on the filling. Two is enough for a snack or light lunch. They are served with a sauce on the side that adds a bit of spiciness. The pastry reminded me some what of a water biscuit, both pastry and filling were not oily at all. I would visit again to try the spinach and cheese and Argentinian beef.

The owners are very friendly, and you can tell it's a family business that cares deeply about service and food quality. I highly recommend it! Definitely deserves 5 stars!

The empanadas were delicious! Flavours were well balanced and the dough was simply perfection. Perfect for a quick lunch break, or an afternoon snack. Great selection of wines and soft drinks. They have a combo of 2 empanadas + a soft drink for £10, which I found perfectly priced 🙂 Loved the decor and ambiance. It is also pet-friendly.

Unfortunately not a fan of the empanadas. Very busy shop so seems like it’s just my preferences but I tried 3 - spinach and mozzarella, chicken and one I can’t remember and the spinach was the best but even then - the flavour was somewhat off as if it was missing seasoning/depth. The chicken was very dry. I added bbq sauce to all of them 🥲. It was 3 for £10 so price wise wasn’t too bad.

Excellent empanadas and very generous with the filling. The Choripanada takes all the awards and the chimichurri too. The dulce de leche alfajor is giant and exquisite.

Delicious empanadas - we have eaten or taken away from here a few times now and they're consistently brilliant. Chacarero is a hit with all the family, the owners are lovely, and there is a great and changing range of flavours. They're also really filling (more so than others in London). With alfajores on the menu we couldn't be happier to have this place in East Dulwich! ❤️

These guys are a lovely young couple running a small but top class business. My girlfriend and I have eaten in a few times. The empanadas are consistently delicious and full, and they have done a great job of creating a nice area to sit and enjoy them outside when it’s sunny. We ordered empanadas for lunch today via Deliveroo. There was a bit of a mix up so we only got half of our order, but the guys bent over backwards to correct it when we called. I always think that is the sign of a great business. Thanks for the great service - will be back soon : )

Great addition to the Lordship Lane scene. Limited range but very good empenadas, filled to the brim with quality ingredients and heated to still be crispy. Also delicious cheese breads. Decent wines too and friendly service.

Decent coffee. But you want to know about the empanadas. They're very good. I've lived in Buenos Aires and have to say they compare well. They're larger than I remember, and more generous with the filling. But that's no bad thing. A great addition to food in East Dulwich.

This place is a family favourite, highly recommend also as a takeaway when you are too tired to cook! Our toddler loves the chicken and spinach empanadas, lots of filling and perfect flavour, not too salty. Owners are very friendly and always make you try new things. Cheese and onion are the best combo and also the vegan option with corn. The dough is light and the quality is overall consistent. Don’t miss it if you live in ED!

I absolutely love argentinian empanadas, with any filling. I make a point of stopping and trying one every single time I see a stall or a shop selling them. I have to say, the empanada scene in London is a bit scarce for someone like me, who grew up in Buenos Aires, with plenty of cheap choices to choose from, all of them presenting a wide array of fillings, many of them oozing cheese like there is no tomorrow. I've been many times to La Porteña in Borough, and several times to Chango - stopping by any time I'd see one of their stalls. I've tried empanadas in most argentinian restaurants I've been to. I do like La Porteña although to be honest, no option could even remotely compare to my argentinian memories, nor they could compare here in Europe to the empanadas I had in Barcelona. It's always finally been a disappointing experience, a bit of a let down. Also, always got very inconsistent, hit&miss empanadas at the end of the day. But finally someone decided to fill in the gap, and open this place which is for me a DREAM come true. All their empanadas are stuffed to the brim, just as they should. Gone are the days where you would have to stuff yourself with 6 empanadas to have a decent meal. Their cheesy empanadas (I tried both ham and onion + cheese), are REALLY cheesy and oozing with amazing gooey cheese, as they should! Their beef empanadas are delicious! I really want to try them all but definitely could not do it in one go, or even two goes, given the amazing variety available. Definitely the best empanadas I had in London. To get something better you'll need to get a plane out of the country! I also tried their alfajores, which were absolutely banging although a little bit dry. Now I really hope one day they start making fugazzeta pizzas, that would be AMAZING. I would give you all my money!

Sabores: espinafre com mozzarella✅, beef✅, frango e chimi ✅,o cappuccino é gigante e muito bom, como outros lugares temos a garrafa de água e copos onde podemos nos servir levando para mesa. O local é confortável, arejado e espaçoso, tem um jardim com algumas mesas, e consigo ver abóboras daqui !! Atendimento como deve ser gentil e eficaz, e os preços estão na média por um bom produto, voltaremos com certeza.

We found their stall at Crystal Palace market and bought 3 empanadas to try. I wish we have bought more! The dough is very good, lots of filling inside and the flavour is great. My wife is Argentinian and approved 100%. Thanks to Luke who was very kind with us. We will definitely pay a visit to the shop in East Dulwich.

Really delicious! The cheese and onion are amazing! Although I find them to be really great, sometimes can be a bit inconsistent with salt and temperature. The garden in the back is amazing so I suggest you stay in and enjoy!

The empanadas here are amazing! My family and I absolutely love it here. Lots of spaces to eat both indoor and outdoors.

While these are not the best empanadas I have ever had they are a very close second. The place is beautifully decorated and the service was really good and I often see the queue outside although it was reasonably empty when I came in slightly before closing time. The empanadas were so good with some variety and the chimchcurri sauce tasted so good and was available to buy in jars. My friend who was with me said that the toilet paper in the bathroom was also very nice! Though the bathroom may not be accessible to those in wheelchairs as there is a step. I do wish there was a wider variety of fillings to choose from, but as a new shop very good. I will definitely be returning.

What a great addition to Lordship Lane ! It's a gem and sells one of the empanadas I have tasted to date. The pastry is so light and not at all oily. There are various fillings on offer, but my favourite was the cheese and ham. They tasted extra nice once heated up and served with the special Chimicuri sauxe. All produced served were homemade by the lovely young couple, who are also the owners. They are very passionate about their food and it shows. It was our second visit there and we couldn't resist the sweet bakes on offer. Both 😋😋, but the "white Oreo " looking bakes just pinched it for me. All in all a lovely and relaxing place for a snack, break or even to do some work. So much so, that I felt more chilled after a visit there than when I first came in with the family. ❤️ it !

Absolutely love this place! The vegetarian empanadas are to die for. Wasn’t expecting my favourite thing to actually be a cake though - the mandarin cake is exceptional. So fresh and tasty.

Extremely bland. Good quality on the surface but absolutely no flavour whatsoever. Chicken was like eating a chicken mayo sandwich, even the sauce had no kick to it. Perhaps they are trying to cater to the tastes of a certain demographic. Seemed popular with the Dulwich crowd

Sublime traditional flavour combinations at the counter which you can have hot or cold. Coffee is lovely, using Capital beans - very decent! My wife is bananas over their chimichurri, and is literally eating it out of the jar we bought with a desert spoon! Incredibly popular and very busy - try and get there early to avoid disappointment, frequently sold out of all flavours by 5pm. Highly recommended and the staff (the owners) are such lovely people :)

I taste those 3 Delicious Empanadas on Friday Bank Holiday and I can’t wait to taste the other also. Spinach and Mozzarella definitely my favorite. Juan and her colleague were so friendly. 100% recommended.

Some of the best Argentinian empanadas i’ve ever tasted. The worker who I was served by was very welcoming, they answered all of my questions so well and we even spoke about our cultures which was lovely. (I don’t know their name😐). I would definitely recommend taking a trip here. Get the beef empanada with an alfajor for dessert!
