One word: incredible. Mari is so talented and made such a delicious selection of treats - all presented with the utmost care and artistry. The cafe is tucked away in a small village outside of Narberth but well worth the short drive!

We haven’t visited this cafe for years but so glad we did. Grandson and I called on the Saturday and just loved the specials board. He had the Kitsune Udon a dish with fried tofu. He loved it. I had the Buta Jiru miso based soup with pork & veg with a serving of rice on the side. Then on the Monday hubby and I visited I suggested he had the Buta Jiru which he agreed was delicious. I had the Gyu Don a rice dish with beef and onions on the top. Served with a small cup of miso soup (I had two cups). I preferred the Buta Jiru but hey ho you have to try these things. My only criticism is that portions are small especially the miso soup. The menu is still limited but much more variety than they used to have. Next time I’ll try the chicken curry.

I’ve just moved to the area and was looking for a place to get a healthy takeaway lunch and a tasty coffee - I couldn’t have come across a better place to fit the brief!! The staff were very welcoming, guiding me on the coffees available and offered me a seat. Whilst I waited lovely music played, the customers looked happy and relaxed, so I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Upon arriving home, I was truly delighted by the portion size, taste and presentation of the food, and the coffee was outstanding! I am so happy to have found Cha Ty straight after moving in! :-) back soon!

I stumbled across this today and what an absolute delight. The food was wholesome and superb, a real Japanese experience with two wonderful ladies cooking and serving. They were friendly, warm and welcoming, I could have spent all day there. It was atmospheric with quality food and could not believe how much value for money it was. I noticed one review said it was a limited menu, which you should never be afraid of as it means they do what they do extremely well and had everything you needed. I will be back and I urge people to support them.

My husband and I just had breakfast here and what a lovely little find Cha-ty was. We had the Japanese breakfast, a nice healthy alternative to a more traditional cooked breakfast. The food was beautifully presented, staff attentive and there were daily newspapers. We'll certainly be going back. At £4.40 it was a great price, too, comes with miso soup and green tea.

I regularly enjoy the choices of freshly brewed coffee in Cha-ty. I called in for breakfast a few weeks ago, but it must have been after the opening time had changed from 8.30 to 9.00, so I missed what I'm sure what have been an interesting and pleasing experience. But the lunch I enjoyed on another day was outstanding. I don't remember what it was called but it was noodles covered with grated cabbage and carrot and other vegetables, and doused in a delicious soy sauce. I definitely plan to go again when I have an opportunity. The service is excellent, and the morning newspapers an added bonus - plus excellent wi-fi.

Been to cha-ty a few times with friends, took my husband for the first time. And today i think i was too lucky to have try their mocha greentea chocolate cake after my brunch, it taste like HEAVEN! I love this place not only because of their authentic japanese food, but their overall simplicity and the execellent quality of how they present the cuisine. Not only the green tea, i have to say their coffee is probably also the best in town. The price is reasonable, and the toilet is awesome, feels like i am in Japan as the most i missed from my previous Japan trip was their toilet seat!

If you're looking for an authentic taste of Japan, Cha-ty will remind you of true Japanese cuisine, and that it's possible to enjoy the tastes and flavours of Japanese food in the UK, without breaking the bank. Lunch is excellent value for money, and I enjoyed a spicy vegetable curry with rice. You can also enjoy iced coffee without sugar or syrup. The Japanese owner of Cha-ty bakes her own delicious cakes, again a true taste of Japanese sweets and cakes. Having lived in Japan for 15 years I can vouch for the authenticity of the Japanese flavours and tastes of this cafe. So if you're missing Japanese style cuisine head over to Cha-ty in the Mumbles, South Wales.

Cha-ty is a wonderful little Japanese cafe with an extensive menu of teas and coffees from around the world. It is always a pleasant experience trying a new tea, and a slice of one of the delectable home made cakes makes for a perfect pairing. The food is always delicious too, with the salmon and avocado don buri being my favourite. The melon soda is also a real treat, as well as the Japanese beers. There is a nice selection of Japanese gifts and items to purchase too, including teas, snacks, confectionery, teapots and mugs, craft beers, books etc.

TBH we were a little disappointed with the extremely limited choice of food. What we had was ok but condiments on the table such as soy sauce and chilli sauce would have complemented the flavours. I had the miso soup (which was very good) and a rice dish of smoked salmon and avocado, the rice was crying out for some flavour. Hubby had a noodle dish. I would loved to have had a ramen or a curry but the ramen was served cold and the only curry was a vegetarian one. However, it is a lovely place and the two female staff were delightful. Will we call again? I suppose it very much depends on the menu.

We had the Japanese breakfast which consisted of miso soup with vegetables, smoked fish, tofu with soy sauce, sticky rice and green tea. All for £4.50! Incredible value for delicious food served with good manners and a friendly smile. They have a little area at the back of the shop selling Japanese tea pots and various Knick knacks although these are expensive.

Have now visited twice, once for coffee perfectly made by the V60 method and today for tea and the 'little breakfast'. The choice of tea and coffee is excellent and the menu provides tantalising descriptions of each blend and variety. The food beautifully presented and I now need to sample lunch and cake as I'm sure it will be delicious.A good selection of daily newspapers, light classical music am, jazz pm and a small selection of Japanese items for sale. Don't expect to be in and out in ten minutes, this is a place to rest a while, relax, take in the lovely atmosphere and leave feeling re-energised. Love it!

Very reasonable at £5 to £6. Fantastic choice of teas and coffees. Will definately visit again when in Mumbles. Highly recommended.

For the best choice of teas in the area let alone Mumbles, this is where to come. We have been several times now and are slowly working our way through the tea menu. My husband has also bought coffee which he says is equally good. Loved their masala cha today and had fresh mint last week. Fancy trying their Japanese black tea with cherry next time. My husband tells me their Greek flower tea with flowers picked from the slopes of Mount Olympus is delicious.

Visited New I Chi Ban restaurant for the first time, to celebrate my son's birthday. Made to feel welcome and at home immediately. The food was superb, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. It was great to try new cuisine I'd never had before. The red dragon sushi was absolutely delicious. Service was helpful and quick. When they realised it was my sons birthday they brought a complimentary slice of birthday cake. Highly recommend, a great experience all round.
