We were attending a wake. The tea was luke warm everything was slow waited ages for food.

We were just have drinks so never ordered from menu

This is an Italian restaurant… nothing special on the menu… good wine selection…. Nice drinks. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE HAGGISH BALLS ANYMORE. Don’t waste your time unless you want Italian food. Website is so misleading. I gave it an extra star because my coffee was good.

After a day exploring Arran, a perfectly placed pizzeria ? We enjoyed our simple pizzas and the service was sweet and prompt.

Had a lovely lunch here on Mothers day! Nice atmosphere and great service. The kids loved the make your own pizza! Would definitely return and recommend.

Disappointed.as I'm Italian myself,we ordered calamari and they were horrible,the chef forgot to deep-fried. For the mains ; pastas and pizza how can I get wrong we thought. well the pizzas were like those you get in the supermarket,and a plate of Bolognese,definitely the worst I have experienced,a white spaghetti at bottom and a few scoops of Bolognese sauce on top. And to finish was the first time that an Italian restaurant doesn't have tagliatelle. What a joke.

This place is a disappointment. Went there for a Valentine's dinner with my husband and won't be coming back, at least not for food. Upon reading the reviews, I gave the place the benefit of the doubt but please, pay attention to the reviews in this case. We ordered a sharing platter antipasti for £17. Now, I am not petty and generally we get our bang for the buck, but it was not the case here. For £17 a lá carte starter, we got 18 half-slices of stale bread (8 white, 8 wholemeal, 2 garlic), 2 pieces of parma ham, 2 pieces of italian salami and 6 pieces of sausage, accompanied by 50-75ml of balsamic, 50-75ml of olive oil, and some olives soaked in more oil. Essentially paid £17 for half a loaf of bread and an absolute tonne of oil. My Cecchini pizza had more parma ham on it than the starter. The only reason why I counted the slices was because it did not seem appropriate for £17 sharing starter. The girls/waitresses were all polite and nice, except for a gentleman (owner/manager [?]) who has no idea that a little smile goes a long way. The additional toppings on pizza are also coming at an outrageous price - I've asked for extra chillies (£1.75, and my husband added peperoni for £2.20). Also, the pizza.... If youre looking for a nice, fluffy sourdough neapolitan/italian style pizza, you will be deeply disappointed. This was a Domino's thin crust base. Weird, huh? In a nutshell, I am giving this place 1/5, and the only reason is nice staff and relatively decent atmosphere, thats the 1 point of 5 here. The owner of this place definitely has a lot to learn. I've never been here, and apparently the place is open since the 80s, but whoever is managing it now is not doing a good job.

Staff lovely 😍 Food was awful and overpriced . Haggis fritters soggy . Burger had no taste and fish was reheated and not fresh . We were not charged for starters and 10 % was taken off remainder of the bill

If your Italian you should know how to make a better pizza and you should not be over charging for posseco

Went here Christmas Eve. After we ordered and received our meal no staff came back to our table. My meal and my sons were OK. My husband had the seabass, was the size of a sardine and full of bones, he really didnt eat much. We sat for ages waiting on plates getting taken away and we did complain and were told it would get passed onto the chef. Again no-one came back to table to apologise or ask about dessert or more drinks. This wasn't my first time here and I do find the service is lacking. But because its a really nice location we go back. Really not sure I will go back again 😕

Food is delicious and very well presented in the restaurant, with the service and atmosphere to match, only thing is for deliveries the same quality isn't met and the food standards drop, otherwise would easily be 5 stars

To be fair to the restaurant, the food was good. However, I didn't like the way the waiter/owner/manager told me dogs weren't allowed. No signs up anywhere....and anyway, this is 2023. Why isn't a dog allowed? Small kids are much more intrusive, right?

Quite pricey, strawberry daiquiri and two starters £30

No Italian atmosphere, was hoping for a nice restaurant but instead I got a cafe ? Plus - Sugar babes and spices girls playing in the background and The Chase on TV this was at around 5pm (dinner time).Had basil spaghetti pesto and it tasted of burnt garlic much to my amusement I was eating full cloves of burnt garlic by the time I was gladly done.For 110£ I will not be back.

Me and my husband was in tonight and omg the food is amazing staff were soo nice this wasn’t my first time and I can’t wait to go back I just wish we had room for dessert and Iv been telling everyone about the food thank you from mrs and me heslop

Lovely setting, good food, family friendly.

Table for 2. Food was delicious, starters were calamari and fritta, mains were carbonara (needed alot of salt) and penne al polo. Requested al polo without chicken and extra mushrooms which they were happy to do and was lovely. Asked for Parmigiano fries but got plain fries but they too were lovely. There was a birthday party in upstairs so I think more attention was on them when it came to customer service. Seemed like 1 of the waitresses was doing all of the work while the other 2 younger girls were chatting at the side, had to go up to bar and ask for another drink after trying to get their attention for a while. All in all was a lovely meal and would definitely recommend but maybe young staff need more training on customer service.

Stunning location, enjoyed watching the sunset. Used itison voucher x4 pizza or pasta option. Staff were friendly and engaging. Food was decent. Liked the thin crust pizza and the arrabiata pasta. Meatballs could have benefited from a bit more sauce. Maybe get the train next time to enjoy a few beers. Not expensive for what we got.

Was so pleased we managed to get a table this time. The food was amazing. Both myself and my daughter are coeliac, the menu was awesome, so much choice 80% of the menu can be made gluten free. Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend

Best Italian food I have ever had

Haven't been for ages and decided to go for breakfast, we ordered the full breakfast and the breakfast stack, it was cooked perfectly and tasted lovely best breakfast we've had from there in a long time,

Last night my fiancé took me out for a meal here to celebrate our anniversary, we couldn’t have had a better time. The service, staff, atmosphere, booking experience, pricing were all on point. But the food, that was top tier. As a picky eater AND a vegetarian, it always comes as a nice surprise when I am happy with what I ordered. But to then have exceeded that hope with exceptional quality and attention put into the food, that you can’t beat. When I checked to ensure no Parmesan was added to my meal (resturants often don’t realise that the process to make it isn’t vegetarian), they were on point and even checked again to ensure I didn’t want any added after my meal was served. The dessert menu wasn’t clear on what was vegetarian or not, so when I asked they were happy to confirm my cheesecake was vegetarian (yay!). My fiancé (who is much less picky & a meat eater) had the same praises as I to give. He even went as far as to say “this is the best soup I’ve ever had” and “this is my favourite restaurant”. We will be back, many more times. Thank you to the entire staff for such a wonderful experience :)

Not that impressed by this place tbh Food is average, prices are high and service is soso Been here a few times now and always leave feeling cheated/dissapointed by the experience. Definitely won't make the same mistake again...

whatever you do don't get the pizza's the margarita pizza was thin like paper like a crispy poppadom with no sufficient eating in it.

Ferries to Arran cancelled so decided to treat ourselves to a Chechini's takeaway as we're sleeping in the car tonight to hopefully get on an early ferry ⛴ tomorrow. Food was absolutely amazing and staff really helpful. 🙏

Lovely warm afternoon on the patio in the sun at Cecchini's. Thin crust pizzas and various appetizers were delicious and the staff were friendly. I'm not sure why it wasn't bunged with people.

I was in the car park trying to break into my sons car after he locked his only key in his car. But the food looked great when I peeked in the window.

This place is not the best, it's a small place and the food is mediocre and lower class. If you are not able to fry your own frozen food then you might be ok here, food not to my standards.

I was recently here in May 2023 for my friends wedding. The wedding service was well organized, and ran as smooth as possible. The meal set up was also excellent. There was a well thought out choice from the menu, which was served by cheery servers. Great grub, people, and location beside a marina! 10 out of 10 from me.

My auntie and uncle got married here and it was an amazing day. I couldn’t believe they had never held a wedding here they did such a good job. Ceremony and dinner was held in Cecchini’s and everything ran so smoothly. Food was good and service was great as well. All the guests were looked after so well by the staff and it couldn’t have been any better without the help of Cecchini’s and obviously my auntie and uncle themselves. Highly recommend xxx

A beautiful restaurant with staff that go above and beyond. My aunt got married here and the staff did a wonderful job at transforming the space into a wedding venue and the food service went impeccably smoothly, no delays in food, great portions, everyone got what they ordered and everything was tasty. Drinks prices were great and it was an amazing day. Thank you so much cecchini's for making the day so special x

Didn't eat here, only popped in for a drink in their outside seating area but food looked good and staff were very nice and friendly. One minor issue is that when we arrived, there was a vacant table with glasses and a plate that were still there when we left. If staff kept on top of things like that it would give off a better vibe.

This restaurant is in a great location on the marina in Ardrossan. It can be busy at peak times with drinking parties which detracts from the eating experience. The food was okay, but not exceptional, but the staff were friendly enough. A great breakfast in May 23.

You can't go to Ardrossan and not come here. It's a gem.

Attended a private function following a funeral; pleasant staff, simple buffet food as requested, good views overlooking marina.

Nice place, friendly staff and good food, pizzas are a bit on the dry side.

The food is nice, service could be better, I struggled to get a staff member's attention despite the Restaurant not being very busy. We sat upstairs which meant we got a nice view of the boats, but the music was quite loud making it hard to make conversation.

Think Cecchinis has settled and rested on its laurels hence the rating. Food is passable having been some time since we have been here. Menu is exactly the same now as it was years ago in terms of offerings. That seems a bit tired or lazy or both. On offer are fairly standard fare nothing markedly different and not massively out of the ordinary and not hugely Italian in nature as advised by an Italian friend. This is the first time i and my kids have been forced to accept a glass of wine. 2 course afternoon meal comes with red or white wine which in under no circumstances according to our server can be substituted for a soft drink despite children being 14 and 15!!!

This is a lovely restaurant! Great service and their Fish&chips are the best I've had in a long time. Highly recommended.

Very poor experience. Staff spent most of time in kitchen, leaving customers waiting to be seated unattended. Inappropriate music playing, there was uncensored swearing playing mid-morning. My companion and I both ordered scones, there was only one scone available, so I had toast. Not what I expected from a restaurant of this supposed calibre. Unlikely to return

We (a table of 10) thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The staff were very attentive and service was quick even though the restaurant was very busy. If like me, you look at the menu before you go to a place then double check with the restaurant that it has your choice as at least one of the dishes on the menu is no longer being served (the one thing that I wanted).

Guiness font on bar but served from a can, host didn't advise that. Still, we decided to stay for dinner... Got menus, no advice, came to order, still no advice. ( ie, there's no soup tonight.) I asked what the soup was, to be told, Sorry we've run out of soup, 6 o'clock at night! Had pate and Cx milanese ( extra chilli in the pasta please.) Disappointing doesn't really cover it! Overpriced and food was cold. I went in for a breakfast. The place was quiet so I was seated quickly. I ordered the breakfast, which took probably 10-15 minutes to arrive. One link sausage heatwise it was OK, bacon 1 slice cold, egg cold, toast burnt on one side, mushrooms looked old.

Good food reasonably priced with quick and cheerful service. Management were quick to deal with issues that arose (gents toilet light fault). Have the small breakfast, the Big Breakfast is huge.

Popped in on the way to our hotel and the food was lovely! Tempura chicken main was amazing but such a large portion, no way could I finish that. My partner had Macaroni and same again the portion was huge but very nice indeed. 2x Iced coffees were okay but could have done with a little more flavouring.

Steak was raw and stone cold in the centre, fat wasn't rendered and couldn't cut through it with a lightsabre. The chips were nice though.

The atmosphere is super, the staff and his attitude are at a high level, the view from the window creates an unforgettable impression. The food and cocktails are amazing. You can spend a positive evening here, I recommend it!

Christmas voucher lunch with husband, attentive service, and food was lovely and presented well, a disabled lady came in and was in a wheelchair, their was only a high table, they moved over to another table but she had to sit to outside of table, surely more should be done? Maybe tables provided that have wheelchair access? ♿️ just something I noticed, no one should feel excluded or awkward. All restaurants and places that provide food need to adapt to suit a larger audience. They did try their best.

Dropped in here for food with my 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren and they accommodated us with no issue. The place is lovely and there was plenty of choice on the menu and the food is delicious. The staff were lovely and very attentive. I was only visiting the area but if I was passing through or visiting again I would definitely come back to cecchinis and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Beautiful restaurant, great menu and the food was amazing. This is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area for food or even drinks. Plenty of outdoor seating for drinks with friends. Kind and polite members of staff, attentive to your needs. Excellent one way system and Covid-19 procedures in place. I will certainly visit again. Management put on an excellent night for the New Year celebrations for 2023. The food and atmosphere were excellent. It was a nice touch for the restaurant owner to come round and have a chat with customers on New Years Eve. High recommended visiting.

Just had lunch, delicious food and friendly cheerful staff . Won't hesitate in going back .

Was a nice quiet lunch we attended, soup was lovely with some crusty bread. Nibbles layed out too from sausage rolls to sandwiches and cakes, again all lovely.

Please change your menu. It seems to have been the same for many years.. Thursday before Xmas and three tables taken. No atmosphere. Our 17 year old waiter ; in fact the only waiter, could not have been nicer. But my goodness ,what a change over the last few years. Unfortunately will not be back,What a disappointment for a xmas night out. They locked the doors behind us,as we were leaving shortly after 9pm.

Only place I've ever been able to order haggis as a pizza topping.

Drinks and pizza with a few guys from work past and present. Was a good wee night. The pizza was decent and drink is always decent.

I'm so very happy! Their haggis bon bons are just delicious, not even mentioning the fish and chips I had here as part of their 2-course lunch menu. Crunchy batter, fresh fish, the freshest and tastiest chips I had in a long while. If you are around this place, you definitely must take a stop at this fine establishment.

Had a family dinner here on Saturday the 13th August. Food was great and staff are very attentive. Will definitely be back.
