Wow… always recommend this place to guests that stay at our holiday cottages but tonight was the first time we actually went to eat. Food was superb and fantastic service from the staff. Cannot fault anything. Went with family to celebrate a birthday and everyone was really happy and we will be back again soon.

Finally made it over to Catch 22 & I wasn’t disappointed! Absolutely gorgeous food!. I started with the Vegan Khao Soo Noodles (gf) with a side of triple cooked fries, followed by Banana Stick Toffee Pudding. Really really tasty & shows you can make incredible dishes with gluten free & vegan ingredients without any excuses. Highly recommend, get on over there asap!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Basic decent menu no faults there. Great quality locally sourced ingredients to end up with a wonderful meal. Definitely be back once they finish the remodelling.

I always come here with my family and I will say this, the chicken wings are 5 star seriously. Inside is lovely and very modern service is also amazing everyone is very kind.

I don’t usually tend to leave reviews but it was too good not to! we decided to come here for my partners birthday and we are very glad we did. Food was 10/10, the prawn and crab nachos and snickers trifle was amazing 😋😋, staff were so friendly, and my partner loved his birthday card haha. Will definitely be back:)

Outstanding Sunday roast , melt in your mouth beef,stwnsh rwdan, brisket croquet all delicious. Starters , wings, and crab nachos beautiful. Dessert bread and butter pudding and snickers trifle. Service was fantastic and attentive. Atmosphere just right . Definitely returning within the week whilst staying on Ynys Môn.

Went here again and the food was very good, the sea bass starter was the best fish starter I've ever had. I had the singapore chicken curry for main, was very tasty and had lots of flavour, for me I wouldn't order again but that's not because of the dish, it's just me, I only tried it because I like trying new things and thought it's something different so don't let me put you off it as it was like I said tasty. The pudding also was something new to try for me and again I wouldn't get it again but I just don't think I'm too keen on passion fruit, all the other components in there was very nice. Also thankyou catch22 for squeezing us in as we just turned up on a Saturday without booking and they managed to get us seated.

Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere, service very good especially as it was a busy Friday evening, will definitely be coming back!

The roast dinner was incredible

Excellent food and wine. Staff very pleasant and informative. My only negative comment is that, for us, the dishes are more expensive (at least 10%) than other restaurants of similar quality - and we do eat out regularly within a 60 mile radius as we are fairly local. For this reason only, I probably would not recommend to my friends.

Just come back from an amazing meal at Catch 22. We are big fans of the place food is amazing without having overly fantastic prices. Staff are available but don't get too in your face when enjoying a meal out. They even have books and yes Fruit shoots available for young children both of which were appreciated by our 2 year old.

WOW! What an excellent experience. We booked last minute for a Sunday lunch, and weren't disappointed! The quality and freshness of the food, plus excellent service and atmosphere made it a memorable experience. The best meal out we have had in a long, long time. Thank you for a great experience all!

The Food is amazing. The crab nachos were absolutely delicious.Hands down the best restaurant on Anglesey. Can not recommend it highly enough. Looking forward to going back soon.

Having read the reviews we just had to try Catch 22; we weren't disappointed, the food lived up to all expectations. We shared the chicken wings and both ordered the roast sirloin of beef....Wow!! Such amazing flavours, served promptly, and perfectly cooked, even the little pot of 'proper gravy'. Too full for desert. Great value; we will definitely visit again. I wish they'd share their recipe for the chicken wings, the brisket croquet and the stwnsh rwdan I'll spend the few months trying to work out how to make anything like that

It’s good food and a nice place. The prices are extortionate though. Never seen a burger for £25 in my life. I had fish pie, chips and a snickers dessert with a beer. Cost me £50 !

My wife and I had a really nice birthday meal here. The staff were excellent and accommodated us despite having arrived a bit early. Great selection of aperitifs, cocktails and wines. The only observation I would make was that my sea bream was really well-conceived and executed, whereas my wife's onion-bhaji burger felt more like standard pub grub. That said, I know there are many other veggie options, so we'll go for one of those next time. The snickers trifle deserves its reputation as something so good it could start a civil war.

Not a wrong step. Every element from decor to plating was a delight. Short but well chosen menu. Good wine list with no filler. Staff were alert without intruding. Bao bun starter was as good as any I have eaten anywhere, Welsh cheddar and leek croquettes a winner. Fish pie with shredded filo top was well above average. Sea bream with makhani butter adventurous. Baked cheese cake had that hard to deliver balance of cheese and acidity, while sticky toffee pie left me with a childish sugar rush - exactly as I hoped. Pricing is “City Lunch”, around £50 each with drinks for 3 course supper; which may come as a surprise in the remotest parts of Anglesey, but given the quality and charming service was entirely justified.

This restaurant is our favourite on Anglesey. Its always busy but the staff are so friendly & are truly excellent at customer service. The food is fresh, tasty & beautifully presented & their carbonara is the most flavoursome Ive ever had in any restaurant. Please dont ever take it off your menu! 🙏

Lovely atmosphere, classy appearance outside and a coastal look inside. Easy parking. Lots of space between the tables, beautiful cocktails. The food was wonderful. Salmon was cooked PERFECTLY. Sunday lunch is always stunning. CLEAN. Been 3 times and twice we have been pressured off the table. The waitress actually came up to us with the payment machine whilst we were drinking coffee! Never even asked for the bill! We were a bit taken aback, but she didn’t seem to notice. Last visit was summer 2024.

This is gonna be long one but boy she is worth it!! This is by far my new favourite restaurant. Did we drive 1.5 hrs to try this place? Yes. Did we do it a second time because they blew my mind? Also, yes. This adorable place located in Anglesey, Wales, had great reviews and the photos people shared online were just… mouthwatering. The first time I tried it, the seafood platter for two, extra lemon butter prawns and chips and the dessert trio - delicious fruity drinks on the side. I have always refused to eat mussels because of the look and smell. Well I tried these and ate multiple. The calamari was tender and tasty, the prawn on toast was light and refreshing, the bream was fresh and fishy, the fried fish was flaky and crispy at the same time. I was obsessed immediately. The dessert trio was a snickers trio, a spiced caked and orange ice cream and crème brûlée. Each equally perfect. Zero. Complaints. Trip 2 we went in for the roast dinner. While not as awe inspiring to me as the seafood, the portions were fantastic, the variety of foods meant I never got bored and was always trying new combinations. The cheese starter was rich and decadent. Almost too much so but two was plenty for me. But the greatest part… the peach and raspberry dessert. I don’t have the words to describe.. I was overly full and feeling quite heavy from eating more than my body was wanting me to … when the dessert came out. OMG… it was light and airy, creamy but rich, sweet but tangy. Chunks of real peach hidden at the bottom. It was one of those moments when you just know… you’ve eaten one of the best things of your entire life. Catch 22 is a family run restaurant (I didn’t know at the time) that is always busy and no wonder. The service was great, the staff were lovely, the food was out of this world. The next time I’m in the UK I am making the trek over, no question about it. Hell I might even fly over just to go there. 10/10 absolutely incredible. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu someday.

Catch 22 is incredible, carried on throughout the COVID providing takeaways etc. The meals/menu is amazing, excellent starters 'Crispy Chicken Wings' and the newly found favourite 'Welsh Cheddar Croquettes '. From the mains 'Adam's baked fish pie' and 'Fish & Chips' (working my way through the menu 😀). The Sunday lunches are divine (both Beef and Pork). And of course the sweets - 'Snickers Trifle' and the 'C22 Desert Trio's' are favourites. The staff are knowledgeable , friendly and prompt. The restaurant itself is comfortable, appealing and no dogs allowed (apart from the outside portion of the restaurant). Ample parking (including opposite the restaurant). Awesome, well done C22!

Gorgeous food, a lovely dining experience.

First visit and we will definitely go back! The Sunday fixed price menu was great value and a good range of dishes. My husband had the roast beef and he said it was the best roast he has ever had!! The fish and chips were also delicious! Great friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful meal at Catch 22 on the last night of our holiday. Booked in advance and it got busier as we were there. The food was delicious, lots of choice (including for a gluten free member of our party). The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful to our party which included 4 young children. I think it was the most accommodating restaurant we have ever been to for children (e.g. children's cutlery, books etc) whilst also being a lovely place for adults. The staff were so friendly and super helpful especially the front of house lady who looked after us upstairs. Would absolutely recommend eating there!

Our party of 12 included 2 children, 6 vegans/vegetarians and a coeliac, and Catch 22 catered for us all wonderfully. The food was delicious - everyone was very happy with what they ordered and the price was very reasonable for the quality. We even tried to get the nut roast recipe as it was one of the best we had had, but the chef choose to keep it his secret! Only slight downside was that there were times it was hard to get the service staff's attention, but the restaurant was very busy. Would highly recommend eating here.

Had a wonderful two course meal tonight. The service was fantastic. Great drink menu plenty to choose from. The food menu was great so many choices also there was a specials menu we had oysters and a bowl of muscles starter which was plenty for two people of which were the best we have ever eaten followed by cream linguini with prawns and we had two fish pies honestly the best meal we have all had in years. Five stars from us three.

Yummy burger 🍔, even the fish was tasty complete with vegetables and potatoes. Elegant and wooden environment, clean bathroom. Fast and attentive service. Good variety of beer on tap.

Started with a warm friendly welcome. We booked in advance. Its busy. Locally caught fish, which my partner had and enjoyed. I had the vegan linguine. I was impressed that I had actual options to choose from, instead of the usual, here's the one meal I have to have because there is nothing else available for me. I also had a delicious vegan banana muffin with honeycomb icecream and butterscotch sauce. The waitress was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out pretty quick. The place looks nice and is clean and tidy. The bathrooms were cleaned to a high standard. We will definitely come back here if we are up this way again.

Beautiful food. The Chateaubriand was superb! I could have eaten the Pork Bao buns all day.

I've been here a few times over the last 10 years and it's always been very nice, but this time the food was superb, one of the best meals I've had for a long time. My meal choices weren't cheap, but more than worth it. I will return the next time in the area.

My meal (carbonara) was very nice, and I don't have any issue the service or atmosphere - it was all lovely. My only complaint is the price point. For the kind of restaurant this is, the price point was a third or higher than other similar restaurants. I enjoyed my time here though and thank all the staff.

i only visit Anglesey occasionally but i have eaten here 4 times. its family run and it is very good and consistently very good. Front of house are naturals and always happy and helpful. Chef is top drawer and value for money. a gem of a restaurant + always worth a visit

Friendly staff. But found service a little lacking, waited a while for our plates to be removed, before being offered dessert. We were not offered the specials board, until dessert, so maybe missed out on better meal choices. Sunday dinner was ok, only 1 slice of belly pork considering it was £23 for one course. I was then over charged for the 2-course deal, this was sorted out with a refund in cash. No sunday dinner option for children, which i found strange. Plenty of roast potatoes, and large yorkshire with the roast. Some inconsistency in drink orders, ordered 2 kids orange juice, paid for one child price, and paid more for the other. Disappointed mainly as i had heard great things about here, and previous visit a while back was good. Will come back again, as maybe just an off day!

We stay at Silver Bay on Holy Island every year and this is the 4th year we have eaten dinner at Catch 22. As in previous years, the food was delicious (Marinara Linguine and Chicken in Leek & Cream Sauce) and the staff were uniformly friendly and efficient. The fact we keep going back tells you all you need to know!

One of our favourite places to go for date night. Service and food is always exceptional. The chicken wings are to die for. We opted for the half a lobster as our main and it was beautifully presented. My partner has a gluten intolerance and there is always plenty for him to choose from. He had the banana sticky toffee pudding which he really enjoyed. I had the peach melba, which was delicious.

As having doeliac disease, great care was taken with food preparation and cooking. Staff have good knowledge of the disease and other allergens. Great choice of food at reasonable prices. Will visit again and recommend to friends.

Birthday treat we ordered the Chateau Brianne from the specials menu and was perfect. Service was excellent and the staff friendly. There was a great atmosphere. The place was busy so booking advised.

So glad we stopped while passing on our bikes! Unreal food, lovely attentive service, all casual, natural, no stuffiness. And they let dogs in too which I love. Highly recommend - menu looks pricey at first glance but I promise it’s worth every penny! Calamari superb. Chicken Wings superb. Sandwiches and Triple Cooked Chips superb. Do it!

Great find! First time in Anglesey and stumbled upon this when looking for a nice family meal. Friendly staff, yummy food and cocktails. Hope to return one day but would highly recommend.

We've been meaning to go for years. We weren't disappointed.

My partner and I visited Catch22 on a recent visit to Anglesey. I had been once before years ago and my partner had never been before. We found the staff, the food and the atmosphere to be exceptional, well worth the travel and money. There is a good range of items on their menu (with limited vegan options which is the only downside). And I was pleasantly surprised at their mocktail section, which was delicious. We had chicken wings for starters which were mouth-watering. Then my partner had the Ragu for their main meal and I had the grilled chicken, both dishes were incredible. If you're visiting, call ahead to make sure you secure a table. Even on a Thursday evening we only just managed to get a spot for an hour after turning up at 5pm.

I came here for my mum's 70th birthday meal. My mum and my siblings have been here before and have loved it so I thought that I would book it for mum's birthday I was so glad that I did. The staff were so wonderful and welcoming. Nothing was too much for them. They made the visit perfect for my mum she loved every moment. The little birthday touches were a nice touch. I'll definitely be visiting again. Thanks Catch 22 staff for the perfect food and atmosphere.

We both had the carrot cumin and red kidney bean burger with layer of hummus and salad all stuffed into a brioche bun served with hot crispy chips. The best vegeburger either of us have had. I'd steered us that way as I've had it before and it was just as good. The only downside was it left us with no room for pudding! 😀 Thank you.

Another great meal at Catch 22 the fish platter was superb. The staff were warm and friendly, nothing was to much trouble will definitely be returning, one of my favourite places to eat out.

The best fish and chips I’ve had for a long time, possibly ever! The batter was light and crispy - no cakey soggy texture at all and the fish was flakey and flavoursome. We were the only ones sat upstairs as we had a dog with us so couldn’t really rate the atmosphere as a 5 just for this reason.

Nice but portions small and chip won't cooked but it ok taking off the bill but that not the solution

Lively restaurant, really cosy. Starters, bread, and oil dip - bread should have had a butter on it, very dry Crispy chicken wings in garlic were really nice. Mains - sea beam and ragu - both lacked any depth in the flavours . £72 was not worth it, I'll not go again, and I wouldn't recommend it either Very average and over priced

We visited Catch 22 this week, as part of a mini break after our wedding! This was by far the best meal of our trip. We did some research as wanted some local seafood, but also required gluten free options. We ordered the large seafood platter between 2 of us, and it was no trouble at all having all the battered elements as gluten free, with normal bread for my partner and the gluten free bread brought out for me. The sea bream and king prawns were particularly amazing. Ther service was great and we are very glad we visited! Would recommend particularly for anyone gluten free/coeliac.

One of the best places to eat on the island, a really good choice of veggie and vegan as well as the superb Tomohawk steaks, parmesann wings and other classics now synnonomous with Catch 22. Would rate higher if i could, it’s well worth a try!

What a delightful experience we had! Stopped by for a late lunch just as the lunch rush was winding down, and let me tell you, the service was top-notch. Not once did we feel rushed – it was like they had all the time in the world for us. Now, onto the good stuff – the food! It was evident that every dish was crafted with love, and boy, did we savor every single bite. Big shout-outs to the croquettes and ribs starters, they were absolute winners. The sea bream and veggie burger mains hit the spot just right, and don't even get me started on the snickers trifle and banana sticky toffee pudding – pure bliss in every spoonful. A huge thank you to the entire team for giving us such a gourmet treat. You guys rock!

We came in for a late lunch towards the end of lunch service and still received awesome service and were in no way rushed. This was absolutely food made with love and we enjoyed every mouthful! Special shout-outs for the croquettes and ribs starters, the sea bream and veggie burger mains and finishing with the snickers trifle and banana sticky toffee pudding. Fantastic food, beautiful comfortable seating and decor. We did the lunchtime dining in the upstairs dining room because we had our 2 dogs with us. We had a wonderful experience and we were looked after so well. We did the 3 courses for £35 excellent value. Will definitely be back. Might have to leave dogs at home and try one of your themed dining experience. Well done team.

The food and service is always fantastic. We really love it here. We think it’s amongst the best food you can get on Anglesey. We had a delicious 2 course Sunday lunch at catch22. I am a vegan and find it difficult to find a restaurant that serves a decent vegan meal in the area. The mushroom and chestnut roast was very tasty. The sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb ice cream was to die for. I feel that the food at catch22 has really improved . I would also like to add that the service was brilliant and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The second time here, such good quality and value for money. we had the sharing fish platter which was all superb. We drive 90mins round trip to go here, and it is totally worth it.

Went for Easter and tried the special menu - excellent food and amazing service. Pork ribs, sea bass, beef roast - everything was amazing. Snicker trifle was to die for!

What can I say about Catch22?! We've always wanted to visit since you opened in Valley, but never quite found the time. Thanks to my 10 year old we were booked in for last Thursday evening and I have to say what a delight! The staff were helpful and lovely, they kept us up to date on when our food was on its way (the lady upstairs where we were sat was brilliant - didn't quite catch her name). The wine was delicious and just what was needed. The food... let me tell you about the food... my son and I ordered the C22 platter and it was out of this world! Mussels were cooked to perfection with a sauce to die for, the haddock was so yummy my son just ate it like a chocolate bar - no forks required! I loved that you catered for GF as well as you normal folk, one of the only restaurants I've been to in North Wales that has so much variety for us strange ones, as well as the option to change dishes to GF but still keeping the essence of the meal and it not detracting from the flavours. Thanks to Catch22 our love of seafood has returned!

Perfect date night, we booked last minute and managed to get a table, STUNNING FOOD we loved the food all made fresh the only thing that let the food down was frozen chips homemade would have been better considering the prices. But still deserves 5* review as we would love to come back! and the waitress that served us was amazing really friendly! Definitely recommend!

After reading an article in the Manchester Evening News about this restaurant (and their social ethos to others in their trade and locale) we drove 190 miles round trip to see who they were and what they were about. We were walk-ins (on Good Friday). The place was packed but they made room for us (even moving tables around because there were dogs in the upstairs and I am allergic) We were treated amazingly by the staff, explained we might have a little wait as the kitchen was really busy (with polite people who had manners to book in advance 😉) - but after getting settled, and a drink being served, our order was taken by a lovely, chatty local (she told us she was from Holyhead) and we thought our wait was on. We didn’t wait as long as we expected to for any of our courses, all served in perfect time to our need. The food was absolutely amazing and for the food presentation, taste sensation and portion size the bill was less than we expected. We had the Welsh cheese croquettes and ribs to start (our daughter didn’t want a starter but then fought with me for my croquettes because they were fabulous!!) We also ordered the battered fish (husband following GF fish tradition!) I had the amazing chicken main (what a taste combination that is on a plate!!) and our daughter had the Arancini. We finished with the citrus dessert…. What a winning finish that was!!! I am so glad we took the day out to visit. And We will definitely visit again. What a fabulous find that I would have known nothing about if it wasn’t for that article in the MEN! Thank you for a lovely afternoon - a lovely start to our Easter!

Lovely place, Steak was cooked perfectly and great presentation. Desserts were mediocre which is a shame but overall nice place for food. Abit Pricey too.

Went for our first meal at Catch22 for Mothers Day. Great service, very prompt with coming out with our food order. Will be going back again!

Great atmosphere and good food. It is one of the best eateries on the island. Burgers are fresh and tasty, menu is extensive and interesting. Parking can be a little tricky, but its worth it.

Being local we often eat out at Catch 22 and are never disappointed. The food and service is always excellent. I’ve recently transitioned to veggie and then vegan and was lucky enough to be treated to the Vegan Taster evening by my son. He came with me even though he very much is not vegan. We were both blown away by the food. The f**k buns were incredible. As was the Banoffee Chocolate Mousse. I feel bad singling those two for a special shout out as every dish was superb but if anything is going to end up on the main menu, I’d love it to include those two dishes. The staff are always cheerful and can’t do enough for you. I love following Catch 22 on Facebook too, the posts are always made with humour and honesty which is refreshing too. Thank you!

From helping me book to making sure all my guests needs were accommodated, beautiful decor and then the food…the crispy f**k buns were simply outstanding, and the four other courses were absolute amazing too. Your efforts are totally appreciated!
