Cassio Restaurant in Wandsworth

I went here on Saturday with my daughter and grandson. We asked do you fo pizza for children and they said no but we do for pasta. So my daughter ordered a pasta dish for her and a small pasta dish for me and a pizza I could share with my grandson. They came back with 3 pasta dishes and a pizza. We said you have got this wrong . They took one pasta dish away as we said we only wanted a small one. When the bill arrived they had charged full price for two large pasta dishes and the pizza. We spoke to our waiter who went back and explained and they refused to cut the price on the small pasta. We then refused yo pay service charge. Which they did take off. The thing is if they had done the order correctly we would of paid the service charge without a quibble . We will not be returning to this restaurant and will warn friends and family to stay clear.

Wow what a beautiful restaurant. The food was so fresh and tasted delicious. I had the Bufalina pizza and it was the best I’ve had. The lemonade had a fresh taste also. The staff were friendly and the service excellent. So glad to have found this restaurant, highly recommend.

Disappointing experience at Cassio, Tooting. I came here with my boyfriend hoping for a nice romantic meal. Upon arrival we were greeted by a moody waitress, her manner didn’t change throughout the whole night and when we spoke to the owner about this she even said herself that the waitress was bad and should go home…. It took half an hour for our drinks order to be taken, the food was average with portion sizes being too big. The atmosphere is totally off, no music and bright lighting for an evening meal.

I had very lovely soup and spaghetti it was sooooo delicious. It’s my favourite pizza restaurant in Tooting. I would highly recommend this place.

The owner was awful, he is racist the service was unacceptable. The food was cold and chewy and didn’t offer replacements when asked. We waited a long time for our food, the atmosphere from the owner was very telling

We hadn't arranged anywhere to eat on a Saturday evening, but managed to book for 7:30 on a Saturday with only an hour's notice. The three courses were excellent, as was the wine. But, a word of warning, 12.5% service charge is added to the bill. I hadn't noticed and added a tip as well!

Looked at the online menu and placed an order for five pizzas for collection. My daughter went in to collect and pay for them and they charged her more than the advertised online price. I called back to check price and they said they had increased their prices on the menus in the restaurant but not yet online. Whilst the difference was only £3 they did not offer a refund or look to compensate which I thought was pretty poor service given it was their mistake.

Had a lovely family meal at Cassio… the service was wonderful and the place clearly a very popular restaurant and has many regulars, as by 7:30pm the restaurant was full and buzzy. Tables are a bit too close together for my liking, but understand due to space. Menu is extensive and varied… we all enjoyed our meals, which were generous in size. A great Italian restaurant, which I’ll definitely return to…. Thank you!

I go here with my kids whenever the wife travels for work. Despite the mess the children make, they always accept us with welcome and good humor, they prepare a good pasta quickly to satisfy the little monsters, and a large glass of wine for dad. A perfect neighborhood place: flexible, relaxed vibe, honest cooking, kids welcome: Thanks for making us feel like home!

Best Italian restaurant in London. Having been to all the more upmarket Italians that are overpriced this doesn’t come close. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful meal here yesterday. The ingredients were all fresh, the quality of the food excellent and very generous portions. Unexpectedly we also got 25% discount due to it being a Tuesday, the waiter was kind and attentive too. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing. It made me feel like at home in Italy. The service was friendly and professional. I took the Spaghetti Pescatore, and I can say that as I am from Puglia the ingredients are very good, tasty and fresh.

Used to love this restaurant living in the area around 4 years ago, happy to see its still a lovely restaurant, and the food still delicious! The chef is great and the prices are reasonable :)

I ordered takeaway pizza and the pizza dough was thinner than previously and it was not fresh, it tasted stale or it was gluten free as it did not taste right. The chicken was substandard and I removed it from the pizza as it was inedible. Also it had no oregano which gives pizza an authentic taste. I was most disappointed 😞. I used to like the pizza from here but not anymore.

We visited for a family birthday and were very pleased with the dishes that were served, all pasta dishes were very tasty and the pizzas were also truly authentic. Great atmosphere, enjoyable Sunday afternoon.

We had a pleasant meal in this cosy restaurant, food is great, nice staff and I like the decoration. The price is very reasonable too. Will certainly visit again and highly recommended.

The food and service at Cassio are both outstanding. For the quality of the food, the prices are exceptional. It is so close to being the perfect neighbourhood Italian. So why not 5 stars? I just really wish they would tone down the lighting to make it feel more cosy and intimate. Just too super brightly lit. Puts us off going, especially on a cold winter evening. Go for the food, and put up with the lack of atmosphere.

We booked a table for 5 for our sons birthday, the food was fantastic, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We all had starters and mains, 1 had dessert, including wine and soft drinks it was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back sometime soon.

Nice food but please be aware NOT halal - it comes up on Google Maps as a halal italian restaurant for some reason but the waiter confirmed it was not. Still good sea food options though. Quiet restaurant on the corner of the road. Free parking on Sunday.

Brilliant restaurant serving honest and traditional Italian food. Cassio is a local hero and focuses on authentic food in the kitchen and an experience to match. Bruno and the front of house team are great too.

I stumbled across this restaurant on my walk home to my air bnb and was pleasantly surprised with their prices so decided to get some tortellini takeaway. It was absolutely delicious, amazing portions and tasted so authentic. I went back the next day and got the lamb ragu which was also amazing. Highly recommend and I will be back!

Great food and amazing portion sizing

Very nice restaurant. The highlights were the Tricole, the prawns with ham and pizza with mozzarella, tomato and rocket.

Nice Italian restaurant, this is the second time I’ve eaten here, both times the food was very good and the staff was friendly. We visited on a Saturday night and it was much noisier than usual, every single table was taken. Everyone was having a good time. When it came to ordering, to be honest when I ate here before they were accommodating to me being a coeliac. And while I can’t remember what I had before, I do remember it being gluten free. When I asked if they did gluten free pizza, I got a flat no, no other options were presented to me, that was it NO. No mention of gluten free pasta or an alternative dish, so I opted for the risotto, which I’m not sure if it did contain gluten or not, no info was provided. While I still enjoyed the whole experience, I think a little more forthcoming info would have been useful, especially when the family originate from a country where a fifth of their populous was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2008.

My first time in Cassio but it won't be my last. Had a fabulous lunch of monkfish & prawns in a superb lemony sauce. Too full for dessert but loved the place, the service, the wine, but especially the food. Molto bene!!

This was our third visit to this lovely family run Italian restaurant. It always impresses with it’s warmth of welcome and simple decor. It’s an extensive menu but every main course dish comes out hot and well prepared. Not on the menu, but I asked for cassata as a pudding. Miraculously they produced two portions that were left over from a recent party - absolutely delicious. Will always book when visiting nearby family.

2018: Lovely food, great staff and a pleasant atmosphere. 2023: Exactly the same as 2018... You kept the spirit of what made cassio a wonderful experience alive through pandemic. Thank you 😊

Lovely restaurant, despite being pretty much full including two large tables service was prompt and pleasant. A good selection of delicious, authentic, Italian cuisine at a reasonable price. Will definitely return when we are in the area.

Saw this lovely Italian restaurant whilst walking into Tooting Bec and booked a table for that evening. So glad we did. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was amazing (so was the wine) and the restaurant spotlessly clean. I had the seafood risotto, and my husband had the pizza tutta carne, which we both highly recommend. All for a very reasonable price.

A lovely restaurant, small but full of atmosphere. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. A lovely touch playing music from the Godfather you felt as if you were in Sicily. Staff very friendly and service was quick.

I’ve been at Cassio couple of times and they always satisfied my expectations in terms of food and service. Yesterday I ordered a take out, top notch! The portions are pretty generous compare to other places and despite the order was a take away the quality was the same as eating in showing consistency in what they do!

Ragazzi capiamoci bene,anche se si cambia il design esteriore purtroppo la cucina rimane sempre la stessa… questa volta sono tornato solo perché invitato per un a cena di lavoro avendo l’ufficio proprio in zona ,di sera ,eravamo 4 persone . Attesa infinita,il cameriere pelato che ci ha servito di una maleducazione inaudita , lancia maledizioni e pronuncia parolacce come se gli altri non sapessero che parlino italiano… abbiamo preso carne e pesce …niente di che. ..prezzi sempre più alti rispetto l’ultima volta … vino annacquato … che c’è di peggio?!? Solo da Cassiuoo !!!

We’ve been here multiple times and had pizzas, pastas, starters, deserts, and we keep coming back for more. Really lovely Italian with very friendly staff. Personally, the pizzas particularly are incredibly! Definitely recommend for a nice weekend lunch or after-work dinner!

Always enjoys eating at Cassio’s and so does my family. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff there are very friendly and really attentive. It’s always a firm favourite. My calves liver was cooked to perfection, ands my family loved their pasta De La Nonna. Always enjoyable!!

Amazing place, nice staff and delicious food

I live local and I always see this restaurant when I pass, so today I thought let me try it out The waitress was very polite but the man with the bald head quite short his energy was off as soon as I walked in the looks he was giving me after mentioned I wasn’t happy with my dish then started to speak Italian to a customer or a friend who walked after me , yes I understood what you said word for word. His attitude towards the other customers who were also dining was different to mine. This experience hasn’t stopped me from dining in Italian restaurants but I will never dine at theCassio Restaurant and Pizzeria again to be honest it would of been great to speak to the owner to give him my feed back. Know matter who you are black or white you should always be accepted and to feel comfortable when your dinning out!!!

Extensive menu. We all enjoyed the food. Good service with very friendly waitress. Good value too. A bit noisy however on a Sunday 5/6pm booking.

We had a wonderful birthday lunch for our 8yr old son and a small group of his friends. Despite their age they behaved well and Cassio looked after them wonderfully. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and the birthday boy was made to feel very special. Thank you again Cassio.

Cassio's is an outstanding restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly, and the food is very tasty. There is a wide range of food available, and yet every dish is excellent. They make you feel very welcome.

Have been dining at Cassia’s for over 10 years. The food is always Great. Went on Saturday & ordered the steak. It was as the best steak that I have eaten in a while, so Tende,r,So Taster.Gino ( The Manager ) and his Staff are always so Pleasant and Great with all the Customers. Fantastic family-run restaurant with wonderful food. Came here for a family meal and couldn't have been happier with the food and the service. We've since had takeout from here many times, it's really that good. Highly recommend the tomato garlic bread and the seafood tomato based pasta dish. This is definitely one of our new favourite places.

Decent food not too expensive and tasty enough, pizzas were very good the rest was average to alright. Service was very poor. Feels like the type of place you get treated well if you are regular and they know you. We finished our mains and drinks and waited 25minutes before anyone came over and when they did was to bring the dessert menu. Good for my liver but spending 25minutes staring at the waiters without them getting the hint I wanted another vino is pretty poor. Considering the amount of amazing restaurants in the area will not be going back.

Neighbourhood favourite never disappoints. The mozzarella in carrrozze is exceptional - but it's worth the effort of skipping it occasionally to try the other starters, too!

One of my favourite restaurants - so pleased that I can eat here again. Really good on social distancing - the tables have never been packed in and it’s always felt spacious and relaxed - and it felt really safe. The staff are brilliant and welcoming as ever and the portions are generous. The food is perfectly cooked and delicious. Top marks always.

Wow wow wow!!! Most excellent service and the food! Mussels to start, sea bream and lemon cheesecake to finish. Slightly expensive but worth every single penny. Took my bestie out for her birthday and there is nothing I could fault at Cassius, such a treat, so so worth a visit.

Cassio is one of my favourite Local restaurants. We have gone there often for the last 3 years and we love it. The food is always High quality and the restaurant had a fantastic family run feel. The staff are brilliant. Their bruschetta is the best you will ever eat.

Ho voluto dare una seconda chance a questo ristorante"italiano"(in realtà ci ho visto poco di italiano ma va beh siamo a Londra ...) e purtroppo come l'ultima mia visita ho ritrovato peli Rizzi nel mio piatto di pasta asciutta (Ho chiesto la pasta al dente purtroppo mi e arrivata un qualcosa di scotto troppo molle) davvero non ho parole...dopo la seconda volta non ci tornerò mai più!!!!

Ristorante mediocre e caro,di italiano non ha nulla nemmeno il menù!!! Sporco(nel piatto ho trovato un pelo rizzo forse del pube) e mal gestito ho mangiato una pizza che l'ho digerita dopo due giorni... non capisco perché è ancora aperto.
