It was amazing staff friendly tables clean even had a toilet as well it was great food for what you pay for

went on monday 31st jan, never again, the chips were like they were from the day before, the staff were really rude, there was cooked sausages on a shelf which were not covered so they were just going to put them in the microwave to warm up also the lady opened the microwave while we were waiting & there was ready meals in there cooking, would not recommend it have gone down hil disgusting food

The two young girls working there just clearly didn't want to be there. No customer skills whatsoever. Myself and my friend both agreed they couldn't be bothered and made it obvious. The one girl practically threw the bill at me because I didn't take it out of her hand as I was half way through eating my food at the time. The bill was wrong wrong but was rectified when I mentioned it. The food was ok, nothing special but have had worse. Don't think I would bother returning.

Member of staff very rude to our party. Making personal and political comments. Perhaps she should keep her thoughts and opinions to herself. Should not be employed in a public facing role.

Disgusting ordered my food Although the food was edible JUST i couuldnt help but keep looking at chips scattered on the floor I did remind the young ladies working there but They didn't Seem interested So Will not be returning very in professional staff who need to learn there food & hygiene

Had a takeaway from here today. Fish chips and potato fritter. I recommend Caspian always tasty hot food generous portions and on time.

Went here for a Saturday lunch as most of the other places nearby were full. I ordered cheese and chips, expecting to receive melted cheese on chips, but it was just grated cheese. I may have misunderstood the menu, and will know to look for 'cheesy chips' in future. The chips were OK, but nothing special and not great value. Lesson learned on this occasion, and I will bear it in mind for the future. The staff were polite and were clearly working hard.

Visited with my partner and friend. It took 15 minutes for the table to be cleared from the previous customers The lady took our order from a very misleading menu All the staff seemed more inclined to chat than work The tepid drinks were brought and eventually the food was brought All 3 orders were wrong and it was practically inedible The price of £26 for the quantity and quality was as awful as the food Definitely will not be returning and would advise anyone to give it a wide berth

Ordered from Uber eats and only half the food arrived, when I rang to notify them all they said was the driver cannot bring the food back and I would not get my money back, extremely unprofessional and would never get food from here again

The portion was good as always the the quality of the chips had deteriorated.Didn't enjoy them last time. Not consistent with quality

We love popping here as it has an old school vibe where alot of the time the staff and customers know eachother and both are always very polite and friendly to us when we go. The staff talk to my children and ask them what they would like instead of just asking myself which alot of places do. The food is always lovely and we look forward to our next visit 🙂

I went in to the Caspian Fish shop to order a Small portion of Chips to take away. I had the out of the tray. I waited about 10 mins for fresh chips. The Portion was very good for a small portion and the quality was excellent. The service from the young lady who served me was friendly. I will definitely consider them again as I find them the best chips and portion in Cwmbran center. There is also a large seating area for food and drink

We were regular customers, and being OAPs, we always looked forward to our Saturday morning treat of coffee and a light snack at a good price. However, on our visit today,the price had increased from approximately £5,to £7-40 a rise of over 50%,unbelievable.Average increases over a period, have to be accepted,but this is downright stupid. Loyalty obviously counts for nothing,but thankfully there are many other places to choose from in Cwmbran.

First time here and had two fish and chips. Good quality with nice crisp batter and perfect flaky cod. Staff are friendly and quick to help.

The owner manager speaks to her employee disgusting lying to make her look bad when the employee was actually right . Then going around telling all the staff and customers. The food was great .

After my last experience of this place being a bad one I decide to give it another go , not a good idea . I ordered a panini and my husband ordered a cooked meal , well I was shocked to see I paid £4.50 for a panini and that was it no side salad of any kind . Just a sad bit of bread with a bit of tuna and cheese lying there on a big plate , my husband paid £5.00 And had a full on cooked meal which was good , if your going to charge such a price make it look more appealing.

Soggy chips, watery curry and greasy sausage in batter.. service by a new employee would of been great but her supervisor was terrible and wouldn't let her help us with an order that slightly differed from there norm. This place has gone down hill from the great chippy it used to be. 5 of us had food an none kf us could eat it. Will not be returning.

A fairly traditional fish and chip shop with restaurant. Good choice of meals and a few specials. Pretty good value with really large portions. Traditional milky coffee and nice hot chocolate.

I was pleasantly surprised to have my food cooked to order and it seems to make all the difference. The fish I was served was so moist and tender, I'm not sure it could have been cooked any better.

Close to were I work, a morning visit to Caspians is never a dissapointment. Breakfast cooked fresh every time...egg, bacon, sausage and baked beans with toast & a cup of tea and all for £3. An excellent start to the day and should try more often if not trying to watch the calories.... friendly staff offer quick service (even at the busiest of times) and always value for money.

Me paré en el Mar Caspio para almorzar mientras compras en Cwmbran. La tienda está limpio y ordenado, y me ofrecieron una variedad de asientos por una camarera simpática. Mi pedido fue tomado rápidamente y se sirve con sólo un par de minutos. El tamaño de la porción era muy bueno y la comida era buena y caliente. La camarera despejó mi mesa poco después de que hubiera terminado mi comida. Relación calidad-precio realmente buena - sin duda parada en cuando en Cwmbran.

He estado aquí muchas veces, a veces encuentro mi padre para el desayuno o a veces sólo por una taza de té o café. El personal es siempre rápido y nunca hay ningún mesas esperando ser limpiadas. Las porciones son de un buen tamaño y hay una buena variedad en el menú. Mi hija y su novio también les encanta este lugar cuando en la ciudad. El único inconveniente es que las mesas están un poco apretadas.

Llamado a las 4 de la tarde el miércoles. Pedir comida a mi incredulidad cuando casa dándose cuenta de que en realidad pagué casi libras por una mano llena de patatas fritas y salchichas jumbo no gusto que estupendo! . Nunca volver.

He comido aquí en muchas ocasiones, del desayuno y la cena. La comida es buena, y hay porciones decentes tamaño. El personal es rápido y servicios está bien.

Called in with my Wife after a busy day at around 4`ish. I was gagging for some scoff & so was the Wife. I had a Chick & Mush pie with large chips, the other half had a "fish thing" (not sure what it was) but she loved it. Total cost, under £8. The Chips, Pie, and Fish were all very good as was the portion size. We will visit again and I recommend you give this place a try. We were both well stuffed and happy.

Don't be deceived, there's plenty more to the Caspian than just fish and chips. Lots of meals, and also a great place to meet friends for a cuppa and a chat. Welcoming staff and cheerful atmosphere along with good food.

A friendly and great chip shop. Was surprised to learn my meal cost included bread and butter. Good gravy, a tasty hot chips. I'll be back.

I been there too many times and I really enjoy the service from girls but Roshan at the counter with his smile can make your afternoon brighter just show him smile and say a simple hello then he will give you a best service. thank you guys for a hard work you put there. the owner past away but he is proud of you.

Always had nice fish and chips at this place but unfortunately my husband and i popped in for some fish and chips and ended up being served fish and chips that had been cooked the day before , so save the wasting it they warmed it up and served it to us yuk it was dry and disgusting so caspian I'll go elsewhere from now on

Used to be lovely. What's happened to fax? Quite possibly the worst food I have ever tasted. I couldn't even eat it neither could the kids. It's a big fat no from me.

This a lovely traditional fish and chip cafe. The staff are friendly, you get a good mug of tea and bread and butter and they are kind to children. The food arrives quickly- it's a chip shop so it's usually ready anyway and the prices are reasonable. The loo is upstairs though, so if you have mobility problems that may affect whether you choose to go there or not.

Served by the most miserable woman I have ever met in my life.on entering the shop she replied yeah wat yer want and at the end no thank you, she just looked at me with this vacant aggressive stare.Better off going to Mr Chippy around the corner more friendly service and better chips.Never again

Cheap, basic food. Cooked breakfast very greasy as are the chips. Curry and rice is 'dry' boiled rice and chicken curry is basically chip shop curry with a bit of chicken thrown in. Not in a hurry to go back

The restaurent was full but our order was taken within minutes and our drinks were with us instantly and didn't have to wait long for food. The waitress was friendly and chatted to the children. Fish and chips was cooked to perfection. The children cleared their plates which is a compliment to the restaurent as the portion sizes are hearty. Thoroughly recommended.

Have eaten here many times and although try other places, nowhere beats Caspian for the best fish and chips! Always freshly cooked and never have to wait long. Waitresses can get a both flustered when busy but others are friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone to come here if you want an old fashioned chippy and cod and chips to die for!

this is not the best fish and chip shop in Wales but it is up there with the best. It is always busy which is a good indicator and the service is fast and the food cheap. The fish is good quality and the chips of a good standard. The surroundings are not posh but it's the food that counts.

When the wife and I decided to have a day in Cwmbran we had a wander around the shops and then decided to have some dinner as we were by the Caspian we went in the food was brilliant and the staff were friendly the place was very clean and the prices very good value for money we would certainly return again when we pay another visit Cwmbran

The Caspian is a great place regardless of whether you want a cooked breakfast, some lunch, or just a cuppa. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and cheerful, and the prices are excellent.
