food was a mixed bag - desserts weren’t great, and we would not recommend the burgers, but swordfish was lovely. we also received complimentary soup, which was very nice. the service was good - or at least the waiters were helpful. the robot was disappointing. we expected a robot server. the robot did not pull his weight. atmosphere was quite good too, we went with friends and it was overall a good time. however, we were originally seated at a circular booth table with room for 3 people on the booth, and an extra chair placed on the other side of the table - meaning that one person was supposed to sit facing the other three. we asked to be moved, and were sat at a better table, so no harm done - but still an awkward intended seating arrangement. overall we’d still recommend cartoos - it’s a high 3, but a 3 nonetheless.

Best place on Aberdeen beach to have a lovely coffee or a meal. Friendly efficient staff and Robots!!! Great fun!

Ordered the lamb kofta and was well seasoned. Others in my party had the panko classic chicken burger, and the Mediterranean burger. All served hot and generous portions. Menu pretty decent, would definitely recommend

Allowed us to sit in the gazebo with our friends dog which was the main reason we chose Cartoos. All the wait staff were dressed very smart and gave prompt service, coffee was yummy and affordable pricing. Would love to come back again and try their desserts.

This has to be one of the best places to dine in Aberdeen. We visited on Valentines, and the atmosphere and the service were outstanding. The place was clean and well decorated. My partner was given a rose for free. We were served lentil soup on the house, and it was to die for. I had the mixed grills, and my partner had special salmon. Both were cooked to perfection, and were wholesome and delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. If I knew about this place, I'd have been a regular already. Massively recommended.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone, whether it be for ice cream or for food, it is extremely well organised and ran in a professional manner. The choice of ice cream is amazing. Absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was good, the gentleman looking after us was very polite, attentive and more importantly had a great sense of humour. Food was great, some amazing flavours and we all left happy and filled. The soup was amazing, the shashlik outstanding. Can't wait to go back again and try more dishes on the menu. Well done guys

The food looked appetizing and delicious, but unfortunately, it lacked flavor. The steak we ordered was tough and rubbery, making it difficult to enjoy. The service was disappointing, as we constantly had to get up or wave to catch the waiter's attention. On a positive note, the drinks were excellent, and the portion sizes of the food were generous. but overall, the experience was underwhelming. I personally wouldn’t return.

The food tastes good, 𣎴 is as strong as expected, and the green pepper is really spicy. Maybe today is a holiday, and only a few restaurants are open, so this place is considered full. The food is so tasty, scrumptious and delicious, they are very generous with portion sizes. Atmosphere was clean and calm, Customers service was excellent can’t fault it in anyway. This is our 3rd time visiting and every single time we are blown away by the warm welcome we received from the staff and Bella the Robot🤖 👏🏾🫶🏾 Bella get to sing Happy Birthday Song for hubby as well. We visited Cartoos yesterday to celebrate my mum's birthday and everything was just amazing. The atmosphere was great, we especially loved the Halloween decorations. The staff were super welcoming and just made my mum's day that much more special. It was just brilliant, from the moment we came to the moment we left. Most importantly maybe, the food was just delicious. Not to mention the complimentary lentil soup, just perfect. We can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!! Thank you to the great staff and compliments to the chefs!!!

The size of the steak is much smaller rather than when we were at the restaurant. It's still tasty, but this difference between sizes is weird.

First the positives: Were greeted well at the entrance, then allocated a table right away directed by their gimmick "the robot". Were served lentil soup as complementary, decent portion sizes. Now the negatives: Ordered mixed grill that was too salty and average taste, fish plater with bland taste, diet cola with no gas and watery taste (from their dispenser), sticky feel to their tables (seems they never clean their tables for next customer). Kartoos needs to improve to make their customers come back!

We were looking for somewhere to eat after the cinema and found this place, we had complimentary lentil soup which was lovely, I had mussels and hubby had garlic mushrooms for a starter (really generous portion size and both were delicious, we then opted for the seafood platter for 2 which again was cooked to perfection and very generous portions, service was friendly and faultless and cost around £60 with drinks, one small fault would be the lack of cutlery and perhaps a discard plate for shellfish but not a big deal, would definitely recommend and will certainly eat here again

After walking out a certain place near Cartoos. Walked into Cartoos and came across a polite member of staff that opened the door for me and my partner. This gentleman was polite and friendly. Taken to our seat by a robot and was given time to look at menu. The staff was so polite and the food was just simply amazing. The complimentary soup, which was spiced lentil was just perfect- wanted more 😁 The service and food was just amazing quality espeasically for the price. Certainly will be back here. Keep up the good work everyone.

Stupid wait to be served, particularly seeing we were the only people there ( apart from the guy smoking the shisha pipe), £12 for a single scoop of average ice cream, then 20 min wait for 2 lattes, one of which was luke warm at best, and neither of which tasted much beyond a warm coffee milkshake. Really poor service, over priced, and what's the point of banning smoking/ vaping when there's a rather obnoxious man blowing clouds of pipe smoke at you every 45 seconds. Really wish we hadn't bothered, highly disappointing, just glad we didn't eat there. It's a bit sad really, it's nicely set out, in a prime location, yet was dead as a door nail when we went in ( 2pm ish on a Saturday).. I fully understand why though. Avoid if you like hot drinks/ coffee flavoured coffee.

Firstly, I thank Mohsen very much for his dedication to our service. The food was beautiful and the quantities were plentiful. We ordered an excellent mixed grill, as well as a very good mixed fish.

This was my first visit although hubby and the kids have been before. We all really enjoyed our meal, the helpings were large, the food was tasty and we all said we would definitely visit again. The staff were all really friendly and attentive. The robots were a cool touch.

Turkish grills have always had a good reputation but this restaurant is exceptional the food and service by moshin is very good it also has its own dedicated ice cream bar and coffee shop next to the espanlade of the Aberdeen coast line ... this is one not to miss out on if you're in the area . Great weekend afternoon outing. The service and staff were friendly. Very very child friendly. What’s with the free soup. It was lovely my granddaughter hoovered it up. Robot service was a winner for our party. The food was tasty and surprising . Lamb liver delicious. Portions were on the large side. No complaints are all. Recommend if you are hungry . Prices good for quality and portion size. Pudding to make little one eyes grow. 👍🏼

Went there today to celebrate my son's birthday. We ordered our food and got complimentary soup that my son fell in love, lentil soup is now his favourite! Hopefully I can cook something similar at home 🤣 when the staff found out it's his birthday they organised a surprise with a waffle and a candle 🥰 there was extra dry ice for a show that my child was very amused with! Amazing stuff, friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you guys for making my boy's day extra special ❤️

Came here for dinner during work trip to Aberdeen. Glad I didn’t read the reviews beforehand - we had a really good experience. Food was lovely, the service was excellent, really enjoyed the robots and loved the huge ice cream sundaes. I would absolutely come back if ever in Aberdeen, and encourage people to give it a try

My girlfriends and I went here for drinks on Friday. We were served by the lovely Dapo who treated us so well. Very lovely ambience and great music. Would definitely recommend for a fun evening out. Dapo is a star ⭐️!

We booked a table at 20:20 on Friday Evening, the server provided us with all our requests,was very supportive, polite and eventually made a really good quality shisha for us,food and atmosphere were good as well!

Decor - there may be too much of everything a mix of colours , Service - hard to communicate with one gentleman who clearly doesn't know what's in the 'kitchen' .... didn't know what "bread" was 😏. Food very good - soup of the day excellent Hamburger large and juicy meat the downside is the cold roll :(

This was an amazing restaurant. The meals were tasty and lovely 100% Customer service was a 10/10 I went with my boyfriend on his birthday and they gave us a free desert of chocolate waffles, beautifully decorated with a candle and the team sang for us. It was so wholesome. It’s good for family as well. Beautiful ambience!!!!! Such an amazing time. I really didn’t want to leave!

My family came to Cartoos for a birthday hang out. We casually mentioned that it was my brother’s birthday, and we made our order. Just when we were about to leave, they surprised us with a birthday cake and they sang a birthday song for my brother. We were so excited and surprised, such efforts can only make us feel loved as a customer. Their customer service is exceptionally amazing, top tier, nothing we’ve ever seen before. The ambience is so therapeutic, and we will love to come back again. I recommend their services, they are great at what they do. Bella sang so well.

I was in to enjoy a coffee and a cigarette on the outside seating area with my wife as we have done many times before. When I arrived, I went inside to place our order and asked if it's still OK to smoke on the outside seating area, (just in case something changed) to which I was told "yes that's fine". While waiting for our coffee's we spotted a "No Smoking" sign that wasn't there on previous visits, and asked the waiter (again) if he was sure it was OK to smoke there (while pointing at the sign) and again we were told "yes no problem, people smoke here all the time. I'll remove those no smoking signs in a minute." In the meantime, a table of 3 (all adults) came in and sat down next to us. When I realised they were having food, we moved to a different table further away so that the smoke wouldn't disturb them (as much). Our coffees arrived, and as soon as we lighted up our cigarettes, the table of 3 shouted at us. "Excuse me, do you mind not smoking here?" (While pointing at the no smoking sign), to which we replied that we we're aware of the sign and had asked the waiters twice if we could smoke there and given the go-ahead hence why we we're doing it. The waiter came back, and they told him to cancel their order as they wouldn't be eating in a place where people could smoke. On hearing this, I said we would leave as we we're only having coffee's and asked for a couple of takeaway cups so that we could go. Now, although I understand it's not pleasant to have a meal while someone is smoking next to you, all this could've been avoided if we we're told at the start that smoking wasn't allowed anymore and we would've gone somewhere else. If it is allowed, then tables that are in for a meal should only be allowed to sit on the inside of the restaurant instead of the outside seating area where others are smoking (and yes we were there first). We got the takeaway cups and left without even an apology, and with everyone around us looking at us like we we're criminals. Very embarrassing experience...

We went for dinner on Friday evening and been served by a lovely guy,we got good quality and nicely done shisha,tasty food and just nice atmosphere.

Obviously came on the wrong day. No one seemed to know what they were doing. The meal was possibly the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. Had sympathy for the one waiter with the turban who was running around apologising to everyone for the constant delays and mix ups, as opposed to the manager who simply shrugged his shoulders and mouthed something incoherent.

We came here to celebrate our 6 year old and the whole experience was amazing. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to make the experience memorable for us all and we are very thankful. The food tasted divine and the staff were so lovely with the children. Would highly recommend

My new favourite restaurant! We sat in the outdoor bit. Service was incredible, all the staff are so friendly. Food was so delicious! Cannot recommend enough.

Awful restaurant. We ordered two burgers and they were definitely Birds Eye’s burgers straight out the freezer. Feel absolutely rotten after eating them, never mind paying £16.50 for each one. Service was also terrible, my coke took so long to reach my table from the bar the ice in my glass had completely melted. The server offered us complementary lentil soup then forgot to give us it, alongside forgetting we ordered a milkshake. The robots sitting people down are a gimmick to hide how horrific the place is but at least they are polite. Avoid at all costs.

So disappointed with the poor service ,no one knew what they were doing got served main before starter,then received heated up main which was warm and dried up ,requested fresh so another long wait,chips were nice with first lot of food but not with fresh reordered food,(the food was just ok) Paying the bill,,,,a joke! They had mixed up tables ,which happened on our previous visit too,so given wrong bill for £25 more than ours so I was left to hang around until they decided what to do,around 10 minutes!in that time asked by atleast 4 waiters if they could help me,eventually I was informed that the mix up had left them short and my bill had been paid by others and they had gone,so I then was presented with correct amount ie my bill,on commenting about service was told new staff need training ,alas I read on trip advisor that was an excuse a few weeks back too,,totally spoiled our lunch which was meant to be a birthday treat,will not return,wished we had kept to the Turkish kitchen next door,which never lets us down.

It took too long for someone to take our order, the food then arrived in a staggered fashion and our drinks were yet to appear. We had to ask 3 times for things that weren't brought. The staff were obviously on a panic but didn't feel the need to let people know that the ordering system was down that's why there were problems getting what we asked for. The platter for 4 had no sauce, the salad had no dressing. Can't understand why there was that much chaos when everyone's orders were written down. Oh and the robot malfunctioned and rolled over to where I sat and stayed there while a panicked waiter tried to move it. We then asked for a desert menu and ordered more drinks which didn't arrive. After 15 minutes still no menu or drinks so we asked for the bill to leave. If the staff were trained better they wouldn't have relied on the ordering system and would have just used pen and paper and it would have been a much better system.

First visit here and won’t be back or recommending to any family or friends. Went for a meal with my sister which rarely happens and we were looking forward to. Table was dirty and sticky on arrival and no cutlery set out. We were 45 minutes from arrival to receiving our drinks and were given an extra “complimentary” cola which none of us drank. Food was average and only one wrap provided with the fajitas? The toilets were unclean, blocked with toilet paper, no soap for hand washing and one hand dryer not working. Staff were not very attentive and the restaurant was so cold we had to put our jackets on.

Came in on a Monday night with friends, we were running late so phoned ahead and they were very understanding. The waiter that served us was great and we had a good laugh with him. The food was a different level, the starters and mains were beautiful, the pasta and burgers were especially good. The dessert was also 👌🏼 We’ll be back again, absolutely worth it. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had lunch, the food was delicious and the waiting staff attentive and provided a quick service with complimentary soup provided. I chose half roast chicken followed by a bubble gum sundae.

I attended a surprise birthday party organized by my friends at Cartoos restaurant. The party was a great success and the food was top-notch. We ordered a variety of grilled dishes, which were all incredibly delicious. I was also impressed with the excellent service provided by the staff. It was a fantastic experience that I won't forget anytime soon. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and vibe. Apart from that, there are cat robots which are grabbing the attention of many kids in restaurants. Our kids are always pulling us back to watch robot-cats driving around bringing the food to the table. It's super entertainment for all people, especially for kids. I have never seen this before!!! Also, easy access to the car parking just in front of the restaurant. You can have a meal and see your car! This restaurant is very unique because it has a beautiful view and access to the beach. Definitely there are not many such nice restaurants in Aberdeen! We will be back very soon! Highly recommend!

1 scoop ice cone (no toppings) = £4.25. 2 scoop ice cone (1 topping) = £5.75. Both takeaway!! Scoops the size of golf balls. That's 3 golf ball size scoops of ice cream to takeaway..... for £10! I have never paid so much for so little.

Our first visit and we'll definitely be back. It was quiet and the food was really lovely.

Super spot for some food. What we had was great. But i got food envey. The table beside us got some massive mixed grill that was served on a bbq 😳. Ill be getting that next time
