We are always on the hunt for new and different restaurants in London so when we heard that Chef Oliver Lesnik was opening Careme on the Brompton Road we gave it a go. Chef Oliver was previously at the Devonshire Club and has always concocted interesting menus and tasty dishes. He has carried on the same at Careme. A mix of Asian and European fusion dishes. We had duck and pomegranate salad. Blackened cod. Honey sweet potatoes. Sushi ( best I have had in London ). A trio of Wagu beef sliders. A bottle of Rose reasonably priced. Crazy candy floss strawberry soufflé for desert - one was plenty for the 3 of us. The room is beautiful and decorated with funky colorful artwork. Always looking for new spots we heard about Chef Oliver Lesnik opening a new place on the Brompton Road. Chef Lesnik has a way of fusing neat ingredients - here French with Asian flavours, blackened cod, sushi, crispy duck salad with pomegranates. Three of us had a mix of the above, plus Wagu beef sliders with Asian slaw, roasted honey sweet potatoes, bak choi- all with a nice affordable Rose wine. Friendly staff, Barbara and Ozzy. Victor the sushi chef. We had a strawberry candy floss soufflé for desert, one enough for the 3 of us. The place is newly decorated, very clean with funky artwork, colourful. We will go back !!
