I order takeaway to Barnsley because the food is outstanding full of flavour and not swimming in grease or bright red, a good curry should be a nice shade of brown. These are excellent curries. I won't go anywhere else now. AAAAA+++

Ordered a takeaway starter was lovely. Main was tasty and spicy but unfortunately only 6 pieces of chicken and the rest was sauce not value for money. The keema had keema in one side again tasty but not value for money. Such a shame

We have been ordering food from Cardamon since they opened in Chapeltown. The food has always been of a high standard. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Called here sunday 18th feb, was seated then the man just sat behind his desk taking online orders. Totally ignored us for 15 minutes. Rubbish.0

A beautiful meal delivered tonight by Cardamon. Sauces were exquisite and the chicken was in large tender pieces. Delivery was fast and the people taking orders and delivering were friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Went for a meal (last minute planned) on a Wednesday. The service was excellent 👌 and food was amazing, just the way I wanted it, tasting Authentic and with a kick 😋. Very friendly service, very attentive, food being excellent. Definitely recommend

Ordered a takeaway but the food was uneatable due to being too spicy hot (I do like spicy food)not just mine but my wife's and daughters were exactly the same so ended up throwing it away. Won't be using again that's for sure!

Lovely place, alwasy a warm welcome on great food.

Rude staff, mediocre to say the least. 1st and last time I will be visiting. No alcohol license and not allowed to BYOB?? Poor drinks choices too…Young members of staff who would rather stand and chat than clear tables that have been left for sometime.

It rare to find a place that does Handi so I was very excited when i saw this on the menu. Delicious and just the right amount of spice. Is a cash only business but there is a cash machine across the road.

Just had a truly abysmal experience with this restaurant. Ordered our food, told 45 mins to 1 hour, fine, no problem. After 1½ hours, tried chasing up our order, but phone constantly engaged. After 2 hours, finally got through to be told food not coming, they couldn't find our house...!! (We're regular customers). Why didn't you ring us back, we asked? We're too busy, we were told....!?! Won't be using again, absolute joke, you've been warned 😆

Had a takeaway was really disappointed.Chicken pasanda tasted like korma with garlic thrown in and literally 6 pieces of chicken in it.Keema bhuna not great either..£30 for 2 not great curry’s few popadoms and a Nan bread.very dissapointing.

Awful food Naan bread was like a tortilla dense, soggy. Naga curry was so full of oil and dry chicken! Really not nice. Poppadoms were okay? 1st and last time very disappointed

Absolutely shocking food so disappointed, cold half cooked chicken forgot the nan bread I'd paid for , onion bhaji unedible hard and overcooked, half bag of undercooked chips ,also added a fiver on price ??? Straight in the bin First and LAST time I will ever spend my hard earned cash here!

Very mediocre portion sizes and bland tasting curries. At the steep price of £35 for 3 curries, 1 rice, 1 chips and naan bread we was less than impressed. Little to no meat in all 3 curries and the meat that was in them was gnarly and chewy, also a piece of plastic and a hair in one of them! The chips and naan bread was so soggy they stuck to the paper bag. Shocked as we have never had a bad meal once in the restaurant however the takeaway was awful! Can’t beat Naayabs

Ordered 3 curry’s chicken lamb & korma worst ever had rice was at nice poppadoms soggy food was cold meat was chewy never again.

Food lovely but 2 weeks on trot they have added nearly £6 on price even though we asked price first! Apparently price is variable to menu

The best daal tadka I have ever had. Hesitantly I also ordered Motor paneer as it was made with chickpeas instead of matar i.e. green peas. But I’m so glad I did, loved it. Best was unlike most curry places their oil , masala and gravy didn’t overtake the paneer and chickpeas. The taste was just perfect and very light . How much I enjoyed my meal can be seen in my pic here 🤩. Highly recommended.

Always use Cardamon for our takeaway treat, where do I start, honestly the best Indian takeaway in Sheffield. Staff are a credit, chef clearly knows what they are doing. Well done on making a fantastic restaurant / takeaway.

Nice polite and informative staff, food was spot on and arrived all together, there were 6 of us, they did miss hear one curry order so we got the wrong one but it was nice so was eaten, when the bill came they removed the wrong order, we said not to as it was eaten but they insisted, nice touch which they didn't have to do. Would definitely recommend.

The food was excellent but the ambience is hugely lacking.

2nd time we have used Cardamom don't think that it can be bettered had a belting take away last night 26.08.21 delivered at the time we asked for everything was hot all very tasty Lamb gosht excellent beautiful Tandoori chicken ,Handi chicken just right amount of spices great sag and aloo well worth a try

We had a birthday party and although we were the o only table on Monday evening we have not being served at acceptable level. The food was amazing as usual, but the service very bad. Next time I would really like to be served better.

I have had takeaways from here and they were good. The eat in food was good but the emphasis of the business is definitely take out. The eat in area is more cafe than restaurant and service is basic. Ok for a meal but not for an evening out.

V.nice lamb madras and chicken korma , big chunks of fresh and tender meat in both , poppadoms fresh and crispy , pilau rice wasn't bad , naan was nice but small. My only problem with meal was they forgot to give us the onion bhaji starter we ordered. Will definitely order from here again but next time , I'll remind them to makesure everything is there.

Love this takeaway. Never had a bad meal, discount for collection. Really generous portion sizes 1 main will comfortably feed 2 with rice. Parathas have become my favourite side. They don't take card payments unless you go through just eat and delivery only which can be 90mins at busy times. This place is worth the wait or grab your coat, hit the cash machine and get the discount. I've not seen anyone eat in during covid so check if the restaurant is open and remember they do not have a drinks licence so soft drinks only.

FIRST TIME - LAST TIME we were going to go because we'd been recommended by family members who say they've been a number of times and had good food and good service on all their visits. But as soon as we mentioned that one of us has a peanut allergy they became uncooperative and said all the food had peanuts in because it forms part of a 'gravy' that is used in every dish. Quite honestly we didn't believe them. They just didn't want to serve us. I know restaurants need to be careful but EVERYWHERE else we've eaten - including Indian restaurants and take aways - we've been helped by the staff to chose a safe and enjoyable selection that the whole family has enjoyed. We ended up at an Indian place we've been to before where we did get the help, cooperation and assistance we have had EVERYWHERE else and had been expecting here. Final words - go and enjoy if you are allergy free - but avoid if you're not.

Had a lovely meal here for 5 including young grandchildren. Just a pity its not licenced but wont stop us returning. The takeaway side was very busy even at 6.30. Will definitely be using again best Indian restaurant in the area.

Totally believe the great thing about ANY company is how they deal with mistakes, we have been using Cardamon for maybe 4 years now, never thought or had the time to leave a review but tonight for the 1st I repeat 1st time they got my order wrong I rang them up and told them the dish I was missing, they could not have been any more professional, the apologie was sincere and the missing dish was replaced within 20 minutes, the food is AMAZING BTW we have tried MANY other Indian takeaways and have ALWAYS gone back to Cardamon and will use them for many more years to come, the BEST Indian takeaway In South Yorkshire by a mile 👍❤️

We had takeaway and it was really good. Quality ingredients, nice staff. Only criticism, I was surprised at how small the Samosas were! -they were good though.

Good food although the lamb was a little dry, so we're the onion bajis. Good flavours.

Ordered food for 4 people over the phone to pick up - the dishes were of excellent quality, using fresh ingredients, and well flavoured without relying on heat. When we picked up, the staff were friendly and professional and the restaurant was light, airy and welcoming. One other point to mention is the excellent customer service - after one minor item was missed in the order, the staff at Cardamon drove the item to the delivery address with free extras. It is this attention to the customer that will keep us returning when we are in the area again.

Im not much of an Indian eater much but when i had the tandoori mixed grill it was just right not to spicy and i enjoyed the meal and told the cardonman staff that they have converted me to eat more Indian meals thank you and i would definitely be going there again
