All the fried food I ordered were vile. Change your oil!!! Disgusting. Chicken sweetcorn soup tastes weird too

New favourite Chinese takeaway, food was lovely. Asked for no onions and they remembered. Reasonable prices and came in good time!

I recently moved here and I can honestly say it’s the best I have tasted so far, the meat is lovely and tender, great flavour, generous portions and not expensive, I am a very happy customer.

Shaken up as I write this. I've just been informed that a meal I've been ordering often from canton garden, that I've been ordering 'gluten free', assured that it was over the phone by a member of staff does in fact contain gluten. I've been getting tiredness, insomnia, muscle twitches, tingling arms and legs, chest pains, mouth ulcers and other unpleasantness and haven't known what to put it down to. Member of staff I just spoke to apologized for the mistake and told me that the member of staff who took my order was new. But the order always comes with a receipt with gluten free written in biro and highlighted. Dishes in question are honey Chilli chicken and salt and Chilli chicken. Both of which I was verbally assured multiple times didn't contain gluten. I also recently started ordering noodles because my wife asked if they had any gluten free noodles. I'd never asked because obviously I didn't expect them to have any other than maybe rice noodles. Shockingly they said they had gluten free chowmein noodles. Was surprised and happy, and they were great. Then this guy I just spoke to who doesn't usually work the phones just assured me that they contained gluten. Checked the ingredients then and there and sure enough #1 was wheatflour. Greatful to the bloke for telling me but I feel so bloody stupid.

We have ordered from here a couple of times now and have been impressed by the food and the value both times. Would recommend!

Rang for collection,Lady repeated order back and confirmed price. When husband went to collect was told a different price,lady said the computer was never wrong and that she didnt confirm the price to me?? However,food OK ,hot and fresh although a little salty and the Cantonese and Peking sauces colours were somewhat off putting. Possibly return,hopefully without being called a liar!

Food is always hot and delicious. The staff are really nice and will tell you about the dishes if you want to try something new.

Food are always amazing on Saturday night and cheaper than others. Although ordered once on Sunday which was a bit of different quality.

Good here is delicious. Staff also very friendly and efficient. Other similar take always in area but this is by far the best.

The food is restaurant standard .ive yet to have a bad meal from here. And the staff are allways polite.

This has become our local for delicious Chinese food. Great value for the prices and portion sizes and food is always seasoned well. We would recommend the crispy noodle dishes and Chow Mein dishes. Curry is spicy and tasty too.

Ordered tonight for the first time and I was VERY pleased! I only ordered 'extra' dishes but I can't fault a single thing! Great telephone comms, friendly guy who delivered and in good time, and very tasty food - not a single drop of grease or oil in the chow mein, it was just perfect! Bean sprouts were the best yet from any take-away!! This will definitely be my go to Chinese option from now on. Half now frozen for another day until I order again. Thank you!

Been using this Chinese for around 6 weeks now after finding it by chance, it has got to be the cleanest Chinese around and the food is delicious definitely are favourite now! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A pleasant surprise! I ordered food while up in Newcastle for the New Year and did not have high expectations as I know how difficult it can be to find a good Chinese takeaway. We ordered Chicken and Mushroom, Chicken In Black Bean, Egg Fried Rice, Boiled Rice & Salt & Pepper Chips. All dishes come perfectly cooked and portion sizes were generous. The price of the food was good too (under £20). The takeaway itself looks very clean inside and the staff are very polite and welcoming. They were even kind enough to provide forks and containers to eat the food in the hotel. If I am ever up in Newcastle again I will certainly be getting more food from Canton Garden.

Amazing food, best salt pepper chips I’ve had!

From the girl who took my order, the very prompt delivery time, the excellent quality of the food,if I could I would give six stars. To summarise the best my wife and I have for a long, long time.

We’ve ordered from here twice since it has been taken over and will now be making it our go to takeaway when we fancy a chinese. Both times we ordered for delivery and were told it would be with us within the hour and both times it has arrived within about 30-40mins. Food arrives hot and good portions are provided. Food is really tasty too! The staff member that took our order over the phone was really polite and friendly. 5 stars from me!

Been here a couple of times since this place was taken over by new owners, for takeaways. Have tried a few different things and couldn't fault anything with the food! There prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes/portions and the staff are very welcoming and helpful!!

Really nice joint staff are fantastic, friendly people service is unmatched in the area portions are great sizes too food is divine! If you haven’t been already, do so your missing out big time!

Bright freshly decorated shop run by lovely friendly well mannered couple. Enjoyed the meal very much -in fact it was best we’ve had for a long time and good portions too - (although could be a little hotter-temp). We will definitely be making it our regular Chinese takeaway in future.
