Nicely appointed bar and lounge - the latter used, on this occasion, to host the monthly open mic session.

Good pint and fast service. Kitchen closed.

Pleasant experience for a mid week pint of lager.

In Callums this evening for a wee Valentine dinner with hubby First visit since being taken over and current chefs.Suberb 3 course meal.We actually deviated between the set Valentine menu and the regular menu. Great choice of superbly cooked food;;great portions : excellent value for money and professional,attentive staff,particukarly Gillian..We will be back !!

Went in with a friend and had to dust off the glasses and the bottle of wine, definitely needs a good clean .

First class service, Davey was on top form as usual, Bridget on the other hand was constantly trying to show me her nips. Very off putting. The meringue is the best in the e area.

Recommended by big guy in Colliers, as they couldn’t serve us due to a large party today. We put our order in at Callum’s bar, and 3/4 of an hour later still waiting. During this time three tables had been served, all entering the restaurant after us. One table complained, and left their food, no payment paid. Think this tells you a lot about the service. As the couple who left without paying, said they won’t be back, neither will we.

Good "pub grub" menu and the food is always excellent quality. Service is also great. The place is looking a little tired though, furniture is worn and the place just needs modernised. Recommend for the service and food quality though!

Amazing staff, efficient, friendly and hard working. We had a small party for an 80 year old, and it was a great day. Absolutely top steak pie as well.

Absolutely first class service, bar and kitchen, the food was to die for, all fresh produce made very welcome had a few drinks and a late lunch 10 out of 10 we will be back and will recommend to anyone 100% 😀

Good Afternoon, After hearing good things about the food at Callum's bar we decided to have a light lunch. When we arrived the greeting was not very friendly or welcoming. There were only 2 other tables occupied. We ordered 2 soft drinks to drink (soda & blackcurrant). For food we chose the soup and a toastie deal and toastie and cajun chips deal. The food was presented nice, the toasties and soup were tasty enough although the cheese on the toasty was not melted just slightly warm but we were hungry. I was disappointed my order came with plain chips instead the cajun chips I ordered. The lady serving did not come over to check if everything was ok with our order so the chips sat cold until I asked another member of staff who served someones desserts, for his help with the matter. Instead of dealing with it there and then he left the chips and mentioned something about getting the other lady back to deal with it. Eventually she returned with a small dish of cajun seasoning and a dessert spoon for me to sprinkle over my cold chips, apologised and walked away before I could say anything. My partner and I could not believe the lack of customer service. We sat there in utter disbelief. My partner eventually had to go up to say something. We were finally offered some fresh chips but we were ready for leaving by this point and just asked that the £2.50 additional charge for the chips be taken off the bill. To make the experience even worse we were shocked that for a soup & sandwich/toastie, a cheese & ham toastie and 2 soda and blackcurrants we were charged £18.90!!! and only £1.50 got deducted for the chips. The prices on the bill does not equate to the prices on the menu.

Best chips in Johnstone! Good soup and chunky Steak Pie. Attentive and quick service. Booking recommended. Lovely looking cocktails for absorbing in evening 😍

Food is always great. Staff are lovely. Probably the best pub in Johnstone in my opinion.

This is a really good pub to go to at any time of the day. The atmosphere here is really good and they pour a good pint of Guinness which is rare these days. I've been here for lunch many times and the food is definitely worth a try. Would definitely recommend this pub

I don't usually do this but felt Callums deserved this. Was in with a friend and just had main courses. Thankfully in hindsight because if the starters or desserts portions were as big as mains we would not have been able to eat everything. So yes main courses portions were huge and freshly cooked. The hand cut chips were great, chicken goujons yum and lasagne looked great. Great value for money.

A very likeable pub decor was ok staff where very chatty and nice where served drinks straight away food was served within 15 minutes of ordering and was plenty and delicious all in all I would give it a 9 out of 10

Would give nothing but thought I might not show review from what I've heard this place has changed chefs again the place was dead I got first course only to have a hair in it not my own they said they wouldn't charge for first course I replied I never ate it so why would I get charged second course chicken bland no seasoning the peppercorn sauce had so much pepper it nipped my mouth off me I would not recommend this place ever

Service was goid food not so good found hair in soup . Excessive use of pepper in sauces.

Ist time visit, new years Eve, into hogmanay , great night music was brilliant, happy days.

Cosy wee pub with great food. Although I am not as regular a customer as I used to be, I've been coming here for 30 years and I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and beverages. Lots of good real ales and a good selection of spirits. Staff have always been great I've never really had a bad experience here. All in all one of the best pubs and restaurant in the town.
