Caffè Nero in Manchester

I ordered a large and they made a small.. was trying to put the paper outside the cup and the lady already asked for next customer

Thank you so much for a nice service from Arman, really liked my oat caramel latte and cinnamon bun, which was delicious, best I've ever had so far. I'll be back while visiting Manchester next month.

The staff were really cheerful and my coffee was nice. The only problem I had was I needed the toilet. It was up 2 flights of steps and there was a disabled toilet which my wife would have struggled to get to (wasn't with me). The normal toilets were coded and pretty much unisex. One cubicle for men, one for ladies and a shared hand basin. I'm sure from a woman's perspective not ideal.

Good food and coffee, the place is good and chill overall, despite the bathroom which is 1 star, no cleanliness, and definitely not suitable for changing a baby in there.

The place is amazing and the coffee extraordinary, and all the staff is amazing however one of the guys here seems to be always in rush that forgot how to serve customers properly is a bold guy that ask 2 or even 3 customer their orders and sometimes don’t know who’s order is what, yesterday was the 3rd time he serve me something different, I suggest to review the customer service manual, to be honest I don’t mind waiting a bit longer but receiving what I pay for, should be nice to recap customer order to make sure is on the right track, multitask is great appreciated when is able to manage it. Hope can improve in this matter.

Caffè Nero is one of the cafes I love to visit weekly, especially this branch. I enjoy sitting in Nero to drink my coffee in peace. My husband has loved their chai latte for a long time and says it is unmatched. They also have delicious sandwiches that I haven’t found in other cafes. In my opinion, Nero is the best cafe in the UK.

I recently visited this Caffè Nero and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. Firstly, the staff seemed more interested in checking their cell phones than attending to customers. This led to delays in service, which was frustrating. The preparation of my coffee was also subpar.. I ordered a mocha, and the coffee was made in a paper cup before being poured into a regular cup, with cocoa and milk added separately as an afterthought. The quality was barely sufficient, not what I expected when I walk into Caffè Nero.. Additionally, the bathroom was dirty and had an unpleasant smell, which reflects poorly on the hygiene standards of the establishment. Overall, it seems like the staff could benefit from better training, both in customer service and in maintaining cleanliness. I hope management takes this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future customers.

Good place for coffee in the city center. It is busy during weekends and difficult to find place. Coffee taste is better than average and have verity of selections of drinks and food. Recommended because it is in city center and close to Piccadilly gardens.

Before the worker had served me, she changed the bin. Whilst she was taking my order, she did not wash her hands and attempted to make my coffee. I had to tell her to wash her hands. The environment was also unhygienic.

Not toilet paper in any if the toilets dirty smelly, tables dirty but coffee was ok, will not be going here again

Staff don't speak English, they can't count and are unhelpful at best. There's also nowhere to sit because there is at least 4 homeless people sleeping in here. There are probably needles in the toilets but I'm too afraid to go in there.

I recently was double charged for a drink by accident- the staff member who helped me was so kind and thoughtful!

Been to this café nero for the first time with my friend for a coffee the location is nice but the cafe inside is very dirty and the sofas / chairs is very dirty and too old , I do not recommend anyone to go there because you will be very disappointed how dirty the chairs and sofas They should close it down and refurbish this filthy place

Great coffee. Reasoning for the two stars is that the service is very slow. As the queue grows it would help for two members of the team to be at the serving area, not leave one team member to handle it on their own.

This Is a nice cafè with super friendly staff. It Is the perfect Place to go for a chat with a friend or even alone. You can also go with your dog (if well behaved) and he/She Will be very welcome. A special thank you to the bar man who served me today ( blond-ish bird, thin and tall...Sorry I don' t know the name) kind and welcoming...

Good coffee. But unfortunately the place is a bit dirty. With so much traffic, tables need to be cleaned and washed. Very nice service.

This place is absolutely disgusting, the seats look like they're been taken out of a skip, its filthy and stinks!

Came here on Sunday at 14th June 3pm. The young server was rushed off her feet, however she was polite and very welcoming. Turned a quick coffee into a very pleasant experience.

Every staff member who works there is so polite! By far the best branch. Will be returning soon.

Cool place, good service, a bit slow. By 6PM, they stop serving in glass mugs "because they close at 7PM" 🙄 . Not a lot of choices of the drinks either....but it's a good place overall.

Was a little bit disappointed with how small the cups were. We had a medium hot chocolate and medium cappuccino. The service was amazing. The server brought it to my table, which helped as I had a suitcase with me. The seating area was a bit untidy.

So disappointed, wanted was a coffee. Popped across to Cafe Nero and wow I was surprised how dirty it was. All tables were dirty, staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves and service was so bad they didn’t even care for customers today first we wanted mango smoothies and then we changed our mind in a minute we wanted milkshakes but they’ve made but they didn’t even talk to us or tell us to take our milkshake it’s like they don’t care about us.

The best customer service I've had in years! Lovely staff, great coffee, nice atmosphere. Writing on the inside toilet door only makes the place better. If I lived closer I would be regular.

From my experience this place could be called "DILIGAF Caffe". The entrance door was left wedged open for some reason despite cold weather making the whole place cold. To enhance this outdoor feel, our coffees were served in takeaway cups without asking. The toilet is pretty filthy too.

This Caffe Nero consistently has some of the worst coffee I've ever tasted. The decaf tastes so burnt and bitter I couldn't even finish my drink. Also the pastries are not fresh.

So disappointed, after driving from Cardiff to Manchester all I wanted was a coffee. Popped across to Cafe Nero and wow I was surprised how dirty it was. All tables were dirty, staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves. I had to ask for my table to be cleaned, not what you expect from a cafe Nero tbh. Paid £8+ for 2 small coffees to sit on the cleanest table, next to what looks like a puke stain. Disappointment. 😕

Such a shame 🫠 We're so looking forward to some delicious cakes on this day poorly stocked, No carrot cake, no scones and a bit of a lack of sweet pastries. Staff very friendly and helpful offering suggestions to out of stocked items. Could be its the lead up to chinese new year and we did visit at around 4pm Very nice coffee and teas. Tables were very slow to be cleared and cleaned. Some seats in a sorry state of repair. don't think a return visit will be expected

Very slow service. No queue still took ages to order. It looks like they do it on purpose too look like they are busy and people queue there.

Getting the wrong coffee most of the times I go, they either make the wrong coffee, or forget something. I've never gotten the correct order here, never coming here again.

It's a typical Nero, good coffee, lush food but what takes it up a level is the staff, the gentleman serving made you feel welcome from the moment he spoke to you. His welcoming was so good I let him choose which seasonal addition to the coffee was best. Definitely coming here in the future

It's the worst café I've ever seen. Filthy place with piles of dirty cups and plates not collected for ages. Barista was wearing absolutely disgusting dirty casual clothes, not a uniform. This place is highly unhygienic. Very slow service, people were leaving the place unserved, and it's wasn't busy at all. AVOID!!!

Very close to national bus and amazing spot for business or meeting catch up spot! They have a top class barista that can make a great coffee 🤩

Very poor service. Extremely slow. The server kept chatting to a customer despite a long queue. The tables were all taken, with seats poorly arranged, no sufficient space for a child pram. No cutlery or cups provided, only paper cups were available at the time. Out of most food and it was a Saturday afternoon.

The sofas and armchairs look like they are 20 years old. It's dirty inside

Poor service - slow staff/understaffed avoid that branch - dirty tables

Visited here simply for drinks and to chill out. The place did look a bit tired and worn down but it was clean. We ordered an Iced Latte and an Iced Belgian Chocolate with Hazelnut (£4.35). Big glass of refreshing and tasty drinks. I enjoyed my iced chocolate drink which wasn't overly sweet. The price was reasonable comparing to nearby (bubble) tea shops in Chinatown. We only saw one staff working (who served us) and he was friendly and patient. It got busy and the place was filled up but we only saw another staff two hours later when she went around to clear the tables. It seemed like they were understaffed. We had good time here and would recommend a visit if you're looking for a place to chill out with drinks.

This "trainee" you had today needs to train more. Smile would be nice too. Standing there, being invisible for 15 minutes is not cool. Lots of other places around.

This Cafe Nero uses takeaway cups for all drinks even if you are sitting in the cafe. This is not good for the environment. When I asked for a normal cup I was told it was takeaway cups only even though there were cups on top of the coffee machine. The staff member said the reason for takeaway cups was that the dishwasher was broken. It must be broken for a long time as I was also given a takeaway cup two weeks ago. Cafe Nero needs to take the environmental impact of takeaway cups into account and sort this problem out.

Had the luxury hot chocolate and the lemon cheesecake. Very different flavours that were awesome together!

The worst Neros Ive ever been in. Old filthy, falling to pieces. Coffee tastless,l. Hasn't been dusted or cleaned forever. Chears ripped and torn. To be honest need completely redone. Let's the name down

Dirty and cold inside. Good coffees but can't sit in comfort when the tables aren't clean and the furniture is old and worn. The place is so cold too. Not the place to be!

Very good cafe Nero.i like to visit here now and then we a change to my usual place.the staff are very good and friendly as usual.located on the edge of China town do it's very close to Piccadilly gardens and the public transport.the free shuttle bus also stops nearby.the coffee is always excellent as usual.

Only one staff member working hard but cannot manage everything. I m asking a manager or owner to involve more about toilet’s condition. Some of them are disgusting.

Top staff a true gent working there yesterday shown me how to use app ! Told me about the new Brazilian coffee so happy to buy it amazing flavour one of the best coffees you have ever sold ! I bought a chocolate muffin which could be bigger ! Pet hates moving dirty coffee cups my self off the table ! Some of the leather chairs need fixing ripped ! But all in all I loved my experience!

Nice and clean place to have a break.

Love cafe nero usually. Sometimes it depends on the barista but went here on a few occasions and had been served by different barrister's. They were all very polite but the drinks were watery and barely any syrup was added. And I bought a toastie and the toastie was burnt. Im too awkward to complain so i just ate it and drank the coffee. I have started walking 5 more minutes to another cafe nero which is a lot better on oxford road.

A very well looked after coffee shop. There are many of them in Manchester and the staff are so polite and friendly. Seats are very comfy and get cleaned regularly too. It’s a very nice relaxed environment to be in.

I very rarely use cafés indeed, so the exception was lovely. The small mocha @ £2.95 was really tasty, if expensive, but my comfy seat after me being outside was much welcomed, and of good value in itself. I recommend you visit.

Lovely place to go for a sit down and a coffee or hot chocolate (both I think are gooood) . They've been lovely to me every time I've gone.

Did just what I wanted, sold me a caramel latte and a Danish. I had a meeting there, during the busy lunch time period. Service was prompt, they even cleared a table for me. Great stuff!

Visited this place on a very regular basis whist studying at uni. Got to know all the staff who were always helpful and friendly. Always had time for a quick chat which I found really nice. Best flat white in all of the Caffe Neros in Manchester!

Great coffee and not only that because I have ordered toasties for myself and my fiancee and they were delicious. I was suprised how incredible memory has one of the staff members, dark hair girl all covered with canny tattoos coz she could tell what kind of coffee I have ordered 3 weeks ago for both of us and what size were them. Nice place to have a cuppa after long drive to Polish embassy whichis next door.

Great coffee. Great view of the world going by. Great interior decor and the chairs and sofas are incredibly comfy. I still prefer a Costa though for taste but still a 5 star review.

Drity tables, drity toilets, staff just standing at the end of counter, had to clear own table to sit at....
