Caffè Nero in Manchester

Having been a few times in the morning, it hasn't been stocked with any croissants, which is the only reason I visited.

I ordered ice latte and as I was waiting I've been told that they're out of ice and someone needs to grab ice from upstairs. I said no problem and sat down. After 10 min I had to went to counter again to check where my coffee is. They said 5 more min as no one been upstairs for ice yet. After 15min of waiting I finally received HALF EMPTY latte. I had to make my 4th trip to the counter to have it filled to the top. Absolute joke experience. Girl with dreads was kind and apologetic about the situation but yeah.

I usually enjoy my coffee experience here but today I feel a little short changed. I ordered a large cappuccino but they appear to have skimped on the measure as half of it appears to be missing.

I went in as I had an hour or so before my train and my phone had died, I was served by Megan who was very friendly and made sure I didn't miss my train, as well as making an amazing coffee I will be going again next time I visit Manchester.

Unfortunately my Latte had a load of coffee grinds at the bottom, only noticed when on my packed train

Nice Caffe Nero as usual, my favourite coffee chain! The 2 staff here today were so nice, patient and sweet. Keep them and give them a raise :)

The Espresso coffee was burnt, on the other hand the barista was nice, friendly and even tried to speak a few words in Italian

Ordered a good to go surprise bag with these clowns. Drove 7 miles for it to get cancelled 1 minute before collection absolute jokers, avoid as they clearly don't give a crap about customers. 🤡🤡🤡

Good service at the counter. Ordered tiramisu latte. It didn't taste anything like tiramisu but more like mocha but still it was good. The shop wasn't busy which was good.

Hot sandwiches are so delicious! The atmosphere of the store is also very stylish. I want to eat it every day.

Staff are all very lovely, being a smaller cafe, it makes it a lot less crowded, and as such quieter, so I would recommend if you are waiting for a train to head here and relax.

I’m a frequent user of this branch, but normally try to get in and out as quickly as I can as the atmosphere isn’t the greatest. I’ve done jobs in the past I didn’t like, but I sure didn’t let customer feel my unhappiness. This place oozes of poor customer service skills. Work on an assembly line chopping off fish heads if you can’t deal with customers. Quite simple. HOWEVER, today someone certainly brightened up my morning with a lovely smile and warmth which I’ve never experienced before in this branch. I enquired about her name and it’s Destiny. I’m sure her life goal is not serving coffee for a living, but she sure does it well until new opportunities come alight. Whatever her plans, she is very much appreciated by a loyal customer and I wish Destiny nothing but the best.

This particular shop is excellent.the staff are very friendly and helpful in the service they provide the coffee I had was excellent and I was served quickly.the store is well located on the approach to Piccadilly Train Station.there is plenty of public transport nearby including the free shuttle buses.the store was clean and had easy access for wheelchairs.

Friendly attentive staff. I got a good coffee with oat milk. But the desire to stay in the institution did not arise

Disappointing flat white. Cold. For the price you charge, maybe heat up the milk.

Very tasty coffee and also a cheesecake that I ate. Everything was so yummy that I forgot to take pictures haha. I arrive like an hour before closing so the second floor was already unavailable :(

The manager runs the place with abysmally poor customer service. We missed a small discreet allergy label that would have meant a life or death situation for one of us, and rather than doing what most places will do and allow for a replacement, the manager insisted on a new payment. You know how you can tell a restaurant or cafe that something is not right and then you get to amend it or get something else back? Or how a customer can make a little mistake and because you like getting customers for your business, you help? This place won’t. I advise costumers to put their money elsewhere. And if the manager wishes to give an underhanded reply to my review, please read her views with a pinch of salt. The patronising service we received resulted in us leaving all our food behind, so I can’t leave a review on it.

Lovely cafe nero with a great atmosphere. Had a raspberry croissant and a cafe latte which were delicious. Will definitely visit again. Thank you!

Wow, dreadful service, Saturday and one server.. and the coffee was burnt, utter crp.

It was hot inside which made it rather stuffy. The coffee was nice. The cakes were tasty although under cooked in parts (yellow not brown).

Just called in for a coffee. The inside is looking a bit scruffy and dirty. There are only a few comfy chairs the rest look like they were reclaimed from a school. It's a good spot to wait for your train and watch Manchester go past the window.

most lovely staff were open super early at 4am and i had no phone charge so they went out the back and found me a charger to use whilst i waited for my train <3

It's a nice enough Nero but the cake fridge always seems empty no matter when you go. There is never any vegan cream made up either.

Bro the manager is nice and helpful. I order 2 things to eat in yesterday . Bro helped me to carry . Big up to him. I hope Cafe nero gives him a pay rise

Really close to Piccadilly Station, good place to stay and wait for train.

I like Caffè Neros, they always have a unique style interior. This one, near Piccadilly Station has a very relaxing upstairs area. The lady serving behind the counter was very pleasant too.

two drinks incorrect. No receipt (which had toilet code on), served in a paper bag and cups despite saying it's eat in. No chocolate sprinkles, what's not to like 😕

Tables weren't being looked after very well. Only 2 staff. Coffee was ok. Near the station so felt a bit seedy.

Love chilling in here when I'm early for a train, grabbed a salted caramel & pistachio latte no coffee to cool me off, I've had to quit coffee so I'm glad there's these options, lovely staff and relaxing cafe despite the busy location.

Fab shop. Despite being ‘train station’ busy, a member of staff (North American - didn’t catch her name) knew I wanted a pain au chocolat and came and found me after I’d bought a coffee to let me know they’d baked more (she could see the disappointment when she had to tell me they had none). Also let me jump the queue and buy it straight away - which was much appreciated as I’d already queued once! Going above and beyond in what can’t be the easiest environment to be a conscientious barista. Top quality stuff. Much appreciated by a stressed commuter.

This is not a nice cafe nero, Rude staff, poor hygiene, food and drink did not taste good.

Very poor service. I was discriminated for being autistic and accused of being rude for asking a question.

I would highly recommend going to a different Cafe Nero, Don't waste your time going to this one. Tables are Very dirty, toilets are disgusting and the Staff spend more time having conversations with each other laughing and joking yet very poor customer service to the public.

Nice Caffè Nero with helpful staff.

Just like any other caffe Nero but the staff was quite friendly and welcoming. I felt much at ease here. Can come and grab a cuppa while waiting for the train.

The woodwork round the tables opposite the severs is very dusty and hasn’t seen a cloth in a long time. But the coffee was amazing.

I went to the shop with my family I have order coffee there is no welcome to customers and the joking pushing each others in the bar we was waiting for our coffee but it even didn't bother them that customers are waiting the were speaking with each others and laughing even customers behind us left the shop cause the stuff wasn't even care to serve I really recommend cost coffee much much better in customer service is I normally go there the first and last time I have try nero as

The guy named Mathew is awesome. His customer service is on another level👌. Best one I've ever seen. The girl didn't serve me So I don’t know about her, but she seems good and looks like Kimiko from The Boys. 😁

Grumpy server. And every single espresso they sell is actually a double but they just move the cup so half goes down the drain. If this doesn’t indicate a total disconnect between a provider and their customers, I don’t know what does. Server says “not my job mate, I don’t make the rules.” Sad sad sad

Well only writing a negative review beacuse of service, staff need to be more switch on to thier customers.... 🙈

I got a coffee ☕ here earlier this week on Monday and the man who served me was so lovely. His presence was very calm and content and he took a lot of care over my coffee and food. It was very uplifting as I was having a bad day. Thank you lovely staff member at cafe Nero!! You cheered me up! Recommend this cafe to anyone who visits Piccadilly station.

Went in for a quick frappe today after 7pm when waiting for my train and the lady that served me was the loveliest person I have ever met. Didn't get her name unfortunately, but I hope she gets praised for her amazing customer service. The frappe was also lovely :)

The service couldn’t be slower. The staff look like they’re on a yoga escape practicing slow thoughtful movements. I’ve been here before (about a year ago now) and it’s a totally different experience. The staff clearly don’t care that people have trains to catch. I walked out as did several other people on the queue. Next door at Nero I had a coffee within 2minutes.

It was perfect for a short break after train travel. The staff that served me was very pleasant and supportive of my huge luggage. The coffee itself was delicious, with a taste that everyone could enjoy.

Fine if it's not busy, bit busy today and my iced Frapè was dreadful, ice not blended, next to no syrup no coffee put in it and forgot the cream. Basically just handed me some milk and ice for 4 quid. I mean it's a minimum requirement of an iced coffee to actualy put coffee in it.... Isn't it ? *Update* Tried again for an iced coffee, this time the Pistachio frappe (yes they actualy had pistatio syrup !) Again no coffe added. When asked why aparantly they don't come with coffee. Is the definition of a frappe not 'an iced coffee' ? Not in Nero it's not !

I ma not able to finish my tea, the cup is so dirty. Bad experience 😞

I’ve never written any reviews before, but with this one I really have to! I went to buy a coffee yesterday at around 2.30pm and the lady barista who made my coffee was the friendliest, warmest and sweetest ever! Definitely among the very best customer service I have experienced! Thank you for making my day 😊

Poor customer service - I wanted a sit-down with a coffee and a bite to eat, and after ordering and paying, I was presented with a take out drink and my panini in a bag, and told "we're closing in a few minutes". There were no visible opening times displayed, and the website said they should have been open for another hour. They should have informed me they were closing imminently before taking my order, not after I'd paid, as I would have gone elsewhere so I could sit. Instead I ended up with takeout that i didnt want.

I was pleasantly surprised with the back of it as I always thought it was a very small café nero. Service was fast and coffee was always with the same quality! Will come back again for sure!

It was not too busy for Sunday evening. The staff and drinks were really good.

New Cafe Nero location right on the railway station concourse area and very useful for train information and trams, new store since last time visited and useful with outside seating. Highly Recommended, good to go when not too busy.

I was waiting for a train and went to Cafe Nero next to Piccadilly Rail station in Msnchester. Sadly I found it very dirty with food strewn on the tables and floor. There were empty cups etc on tables and the b batista looked unkempt. The coffee was OK but would not go to a Nero again

Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere and staff friendly.

Friendly staff and very spacious place. It's a quiet place, especially the top floor, which is good for studying/ reading. You will find a lot of Cafe Neros in Manchester in convenient locations. The place is usually crowded, but it has a nice atmosphere. The only issue was that some tables weren't clean and had some coffee/ tea marks.

Very bad experience. Staff were rude, having a conversation and laughing and joking with each other while I was trying to order. The table felt sticky so I gave the surface a cursory wipe and the antibacterial wipe came up nearly black. The table had clearly not been cleaned in a long time and was filthy.

Ordered a luxury mocha and I got it in a small cup. The waiter forgot to add cream and chocolate on top. Also heard giggling between workers after they both looked at me and my friend.

Most chaotic Nero I’ve been to. Poor communication between staff. Long waits. I’ve been to a lot busier neros in London and been in and out in a flash.

Good place for people watching.

For chain store standards the coffee was skilfully made and tasted good. I can confirm you can fit in here with a trolley and 3 suitcases which was ideal when waiting for a late train. Thank you

Very big hygiene problem. Flies all over the place, dust everywhere, rude staff. I'm more concerned for customers really. Chairs dirty, and the place looks very unkept. Standards has dropped tremendously

I got the most uncalled for sass and sarcasm for daring to ask the woman working there (who was serving no other customers) where the click and collect point is my first time using it. Wish I caught her name

Poor experience sadly. I ordered a soy espresso caramel frappe - 15 minutes later I reminded them about my order because I was about to miss my train. I left with a drink made with cows milk that I had to throw away unfortunately. Staff were lovely but forgetful

Nice enough coffee shop. Better than many of the high street brands I've tried. It was a quiet Sunday morning, which may have made a difference, but the staff member that served us was pleasant and polite. The coffee was nice and quickly prepared.

Got a hot chocolate to go on Tuesday evening from this place with my o2 offers and I was very disappointed but it tasted like water with don't think I will be going back to this place anymore, I got hot chocolate so many times and it tasted like a hot chocolate but don't know what happened this time that it tasted like hot water

We stayed there for an hour. Great place to catch up with your friends. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming. I really recommend this place.

Visited after arriving into Manchester Piccadilly station. It is just outside the station and very handy. The member of staff was very friendly and the hot chocolate was delicious.

Hot chocolate wasn't very warm , not clean especially the toilets. Very thick dust around the tables and on surfaces. Didnt see disabled toilets as I didn't need them at the time. could have been. The others were up stairs. First and last visit there.

Had a great coffee and the young lady with short hair who served me was very friendly, great service
