Visited on Sunday (I understand Sundays are a relatively new day of opening for Cafe on the Hill) with my lovely family who treated me to a birthday breakfast. This is a really pleasant establishment with friendly and helpful staff. I had vegan valley toast which was absolutely delicious and a vegan raspberry milkshake which was delightful. My Sister had veggie Wye valley breakfast which looked really nice and I will try this on ny next visit. I don’t live in the area unfortunately but I can’t wait for my next family visit so I can return here!

Great place, the staff are lovely and very welcoming. Had drinks with the family here, great selection of gins and fab different flavours of milkshake for the non drinkers, which I understand rotate each week. Lovely clean place which was a very pleasant environment and had a nice ambiance with music. I am looking forward to going back here.

We visit the area regularly as we have family near by, it’s not always easy taking 4 children out to places for breakfast as typically someone will always be upset. We have been following the cafe on Instagram for a while and if I’m totally honest I couldn’t resist the cakes any longer. We arrived and the cafe was busy but nothing was too much hassle for the staff here, we had a big warm welcome and it was even better in flesh than what I had seen on social media, the decor the cakes and not to mention the ice cream cabinet! The kids were in their element and so was I! We ordered brunch, my omelette was probably one of the best I’ve ever had and kids enjoyed their breakfast on colourful plates with matching knifes & forks! You can see and rate the quality of the ingredients used! Now onto the cake.. I was blown away by the selection that I had to take some home too, the Nutella sea salt brownies were to die for! I would recommend to any family to visit here, it was so child friendly and the staff were so friendly to the children, even when my youngest spilt her milkshake all over the floor, the staff still smiled and made us feel at ease over the situation. I wish we had someone where like this on our doorstep. We ended up leaving so happy and the fact there is a park opposite the kids are just as happy as me to return.

As a local resident I feel very lucky to have such a good cafe bar in the village. By day it's a lovely relaxing place for coffee and cake or brunch, especially with kids. The coffee is great (very important) and the food is high quality and quick to arrive. We are always greeted with a smile and we love being in the garden room with the kids. In the evening it's more of a grown up vibe. We've not tried the cocktails yet but they look amazing. One of our favourite things about this place is the regular popup food nights they do. We recently enjoyed the Mexican and Caribbean nights – the food was delicious and it felt like we were back in the city. But step outside at the end of the night and across the road all you can see is darkness as you look across the playing field and into the wilderness of the Wye Valley. Perfect!

Natalie and her team have done a fantastic job in both renovating and opening Cafe on the Hill. Not only does it look beautiful, it serves fantastic breakfast, brunch, lunch, cakes and drinks. It's amazing to have such a gorgeous place in the middle of the village, and to have such a warm welcome each and every time we visit. The food and drinks are of a really high quality, and the cocktails are incredible!

From the moment we walked through the front door we were made to feel welcome. The dining room is warm and cozy, the decor eclectic. With a choice of two menus, the bar or specials there was plenty of choice. The bar menu giving you the option to reduce your per head spend. We all opted for dishes from the specials menu!! We are a family that loves our food. Every dish was beautifully presented, well proportioned and delicious. I can whole heartedly recommend the goats cheese and pesto beignets to start and if you have a big appetite the ribeye surf and turf. There was a great choice of gluten free or gluten free adaptable options and with no gluten contamination in the fryers we could all share the fries. We only managed one dessert between six of us and were delighted with the lemon sorbet presented inside a frozen lemon. The staff were all knowledgeable and willing to help with menu suggestions, and adjustments to suit dietary requirements. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are not in the area it is worth going out of your way to enjoy dinner.

We enjoyed breakfast here to celebrate a birthday, and were not disappointed. We chose the Light Breakfast, but there are plenty of options to suit everyone. A lot of the ingredients are sourced locally, and all cooked and presented beautifully. With a sweet shop as part of the business, it's possible to leave with an extra treat or two for later. Get yourselves down there!

Thanks for another amazing lunch, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The lunch and cakes were some cracking portions and very reasonably priced, so we look forward to our next visit.
