Terrific breakfast and service, highly recommended. We come here often - I only wish it was quieter but I think everybody knows about it now!

Went with my son in law for Sunday breakfast and we both really enjoyed. We both had the full English which was excellent and very nicely presented. Really liked the black pudding and the mushrooms. My only criticism was my fried egg a little overdone so yolk not runny, but otherwise excellent. Coffee was piping hot and staff very pleasant

Me and my partner came for Valentine’s Day and it was lovely, portion sizes were huge I could barely finish it, the staff were relatively quick until around the end of our meal where the people around us were being served and empty plates taken but we were basically being flat out ignored, other than that everything was perfect

Very slow service for a small cafe. My 3 year old granddaughter was very good considering the length of time we waited for our food. I found it somewhat disorganised for a small cafe. I had hot chocolate, which wasn't very hot and toasted fruit loaf, which was very nice. We should have been properly advised if there was a wait time for food.

My wife and her friend visited the Crown last week for an afternoon tea and both loved their experience. This was a treat for me from my wife today as I am recovering from a heart attack. The manager warmly welcomed us and the waitress guided us to our table in the conservatory. We were delighted with our table placement in there and we dined in gorgeous March sunshine. The waitress, Ella, explained how the tea would unfold and was very attentive throughout. A tasty cupful of pea and ham soup made a tasty start. The sandwiches were sumptuous, tasty and well stocked. There was a mini sausage roll, small but in a lovely pastry, and a good selection of cakes and ample cream and all rounded off with scones. I treated myself to a pint of Neck Oil, my first beer since my op, what a treat All in all a super experience and we look forward to taking friends there for a full meal. Ken H.
