Family run Vietnamese restaurant in Hither Green. Warm and cosy atmosphere and really fresh and delicious food. Very friendly service too. I took three friends who live locally. They are all vowing to return.

Went to this sweet little place today, which is local to us. Absolutely outstanding traditional Vietnamese food, in a relaxed, friendly family atmosphere. We shared some starters and all were delicious, in particular the delicate, fluffy shrimp and tuna Bánh Bèo (steamed rice cakes), and the beef meatballs wrapped in betel leaves. We'll definitely be back to try the pho and specials! A little tucked away, but only a short walk from Lewisham, this is a hidden gem really worth the short walk!

Really honest to goodness, delicious home cooking. Warm and friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere. It is our go to when we want to eat locally.

Best Vietnamese food in the area, family-owned too. The slow-cooked beef from the specials menu melts in your mouth, and has a great spicy kick to it too. 100% every time 👍

the pho was a decent size bowl but completely flavourless, genuinely tasted like nothing and the house special stew was nearly £15 for the tiniest dish I have ever received at a restaurant. I finished the bowl of stew in a few minutes and to make it worse it just tasted like bog standard stew. Overall extremely disappointed.

Incredibly tasty, authentic Vietnamese food! Popped in for lunch today, and had summer rolls, pho and curry between us. The flavours were amazing and the staff were lovely. Thank you! Would highly recommend and we will be back. It’s BYOB too.

Great experience for dinner on Saturday evening. Friendly welcome and attentive service throughout. We really enjoyed the food, delicious fresh flavours. We ordered some starters and four different mains and everyone loved their choices. The Pho was a highlight! Thank you, we’ll be back!

Really enjoyable first visit, and hopefully many more to come. Cosy restaurant, small menu but bolstered by specials, in this case a lovely slow cooked beef stew. Remember to book for weekend visits.

Probably the best restaurant in Hither Green. Cuisine is very authentic and the restaurant owner was super friendly and took the time to explained to us how they make their dishes - love the passion!

I’ve been eating at Cafe Green since it was opened. It’s simply the best food one can imagine. My wife and I have at least 1 visit per week! And my adult kids all Say if they nearby, they would be bankrupt!!, as they would have to eat here daily - brilliant food made by very skilled lovely people - 👍👍👏👏🏅🏅

It's a real gem of a neighborhood restaurant. A small but perfectly formed menu with the classics delivered with authentic quality. And the chilli sauce is next level. I've dined in and had takeaway both positive experiences.

This restaurant and takeaway must be one of the best kept secrets in SE London - possibly because people like me have not shouted out enough about it. The food is always supremely excellent, fresh and exciting flavours. Honestly, I can't trace enough about this place. Thank you!

It is rare when you come across a restaurant listing standing on the streets and decide to try it out, and it turns out to be a good experience. Location: It's a Vietnamese restaurant at the end of Hither Green Street if you are coming from Lewisham. We went there for lunch today. Atmosphere: It's a very quiet and cozy place, with meditation music in the background to relax to. The restaurant has a homely vibe and comfortable lighting. Loved the quotes present on the wall! (I wonder who wrote these?) Food: We had two chicken pho dishes and a Vietnamese coffee to wash it down. The pho bowls were very fresh and hot, which added to the taste. They were comforting and hearty. The broth of the soup was a little spicy for me though, perhaps due to the chili oil in it, which I manoueverd by savoring the soup slowly. The coffee was amazing! I tried Vietnamese Coffee for the first time. Service: The service is personal as well, which makes one feel welcomed. No interference by the servers. Pro-tip: Go during non-peak hours, like at lunchtime, to get relaxed dining experience.

Enjoyed this restaurant. Tasty food and friendly service. Nice interior ambience as well. The chicken pho was a bit different than I’m used to. Seems they added their own style to it. Same for the summer rolls.

Have only ever had a take out, but love this place, food is so fresh and delicious, my favourite are the summers rolls, staff are so friendly and helpful.

Incredible food in a homely and warm atmosphere.

I've only been here to grab a coffee whilst waiting for someone and from what I can tell the place is nice. I don't know their opening days/hours but when it is open it is always full and people always seem to be enjoying themselves.

This used to be my favourite local Vietnamese place when I lived in London. Family-run, with a lot of heart put into everything they do. Food is authentic, tasty. Place has big tables so sometimes sharing with others is inevitable (which was totally fine).

Really lovely, fresh dishes. All very tasty, would definitely recommend. It's a small, friendly team that really cares if you enjoyed the food. If it's a busy night, service is on the slower side, but I don't really have any issue with that as it's a small team, the food's great and it's a nice space.

Busy, cosy little Vietnamese cafe. The menu is small but it’s all you need and everything on there is fresh and so so tasty. At busy times you may be waiting slightly longer but definitely worth it. Would highly recommend.

Very tasty Vietnamese food and nice owners. If in area again, I'll definitely return. Also great vegan/vegetation options.

The food was really good and fresh and full of flavours. The tastes are more natural compared to the usual Viatnamese that has lots of MSG, which made me feel ill afterwards. The tastes are also a bit different from other Viatnamese restaurants. We enjoyed them and will be back for another visit soon! The only downside is the service is quite slow as there were only two people serving including cooking. It is not a great place to visit if you are in a rush.

Relaxed, friendly place with such fresh, tasty & beautifully presented food, it's clear that a lot of love goes into everything. A local treasure that's worth supporting with regular visits. Nice calm atmosphere for a lunch break - their fresh food takes time to prepare but you can call ahead with your order if you're limited for time.

Lovely local, very homely restaurant. This place is along a residential street and feels like you’re almost going into someone’s house, it’s warm and cosy inside and very welcoming. The service is impeccable and personal. The menu is fresh and tasty. Veggie/vegans don’t have loads of options for mains (only tofu). It would have been nice to see something with mushrooms or fish/prawn. The star of the show for us was the green mango salad.

Food was delicious, very high quality and all dishes were of the utmost standard and freshness I had the Char Siu Pork and Rice, blew my socks off with its intricacy and equilibrium. The matcha latte was astoundingly creative and balanced. All food was perfectly seasoned, the workers friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and gentle. You could tell passion went into the art on a plate. Top class. Michelin Star when?

A lovely small place for casual dining. Went at lunch time and ambience was calming. Not busy but that was a bonus. Service was given with politeness and a smile. The summer rolls were delicious and the peanut sauce was amazing. We had a generous bowl of tofu pho which was infused with tasty herbs and noodles and flavours. Would return here again for sure. Do try their iced coffee. All in all a great find and one to keep.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they make sure your order is made perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and there is ample seating. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the food is excellent. I highly recommend Cafe Green for coffee and pastries.

Excellent Vietnamese in an area of London where good Far Eastern food is hard to find. Its BYO with a small but understandable corkage charge. The night we went it was just the husband and wife team as opposed to their usual seven staff so very slow service but didn’t detract from anything…just go with the flow. Can’t recommend it enough. A truly standout Vietnamese restaurant hidden away in Hither Green, a few streets walk away from Hither Green Station. Great service, tasty starters and lots of classic main dishes, both meat and vegetarian.

Friendly family owned restaurant with super healthy Vietnamese dishes. Reasonable prices, clean and relaxed atmosphere. A more extensive menu would be perfect but a great place for authentic Vietnamese food.

Had a lovely dinner last night. The Green Cafe is small, welcoming, relaxing with nice decor and plants. The food though is obviously the highlight - beautifully cooked and presented Vietnamese food , it makes me want to explore more Vietnamese cuisine and visit itself (one day .. hopefully) Thank you we will be returning

Really lovely flavoursome food! Tasted like food I had in Vietnam, this is an absolute gem in lewisham. The staff are really nice and helpful too. Generous portions too. I’ll be back here often I’m sure - so happy to have discovered it. Perfect to pick up food and take to Manor Park for a picnic!

Absolutely delicious and authentic small business. Way nicer than the central Viet restaurants and reasonably priced. BIG portions, fresh ingredients and extremely kind service too. We got an explanation with every meal and left the place really happy. Thank you
