Cafe Byzantium in Angus

I recently came here for a late valentines meal with my girlfriend and it was superb. The service was excellent and we were last in and felt welcome to the end. The food was utterly delicious, my main of mixed meat and the sauce was the best I’ve had this year and my girlfriend adored her mousakka. I would (and have) recommend here to try for some delightful Greek food. I look forward to coming back one day again!

Love a visit to Cafe Byzantium for lunch or evening meal. Food is always delicious and staff very friendly.

First time visiting with a group of 12 and we were all over the moon at the service and food , would most certainly visit again.

Lunch was hot, fresh and delicious. Portions not large but filling and tasty

A big thanks to Renia & her team for an amazing surprise party for mum's 70th. The venue really suits to a private hire as it feels intimate but also you can host a good number inside. Also in warmer weather there is outdoor space available. As our local village restaurant, we had already sampled the food and warm customer service on many an occasion. This was so reassuring to me when planning the event and the meal exceeded expectations (with many a new customer found i believe). The communication and personal care & touches from the team definitely contributed to the smooth running of the night. And they were very receptive to any suggestions or requests from my side. All in all a brilliant option as a private hire, as well as a cheeky takeaway or meal out with family & friends. Thank you @cafebyzantium. See you next time I am up ❤

Waited nearly an hour for soggy, expensive pizzas. So much for a relaxing lunch with the kids, as we were all hangry before it arrived and disappointed after it did.

Excellent formal dining although took us as a walk in and we were in cycling gear and muddy.

We had a fantastic experience at Cafe Byzantium. Food was excellently prepared, nice selection of wine and nothing was too rich or lacking in flavour. Ideal for families, intimate meals or a nice evening out. The absolute highlight was the service from the waiting staff. All of the girls serving were polite, attentive and mature for their age. We've been to many restaurants with experienced service staff and without a doubt the girls were of the highest calibre. Keep doing what you're doing and we will be back soon!

Thank you to the kind lady who offered to make us coffee despite her Cafe being closed. It was lovely and greatly appreciated.

Amazing food in a lovely country park setting

Our first visit and certainly won't be the last, food was delicious, couldn't fault a thing.

Not for me Had hot chicken burger it is very spicy and was very good my wife's burger was cooked within an inch of its life So obviously cooked from frozen and very poor quality Nancy other places to eat Freat setting but can't recommend

We have eaten here on several occassions on day visits to the park. Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff, set within Monikie park where dogs are welcome in the outside patio seating area. Has a pretty good lunchtime menu (menu available on website) Sorry to find their pizza bases now include butter so this is no longer an option for those with any dairy issues or on vegan diet. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

I really love this place, it’s such a hidden gem. Dinner was absolutely amazing, the flavours are bold and the portions are generous. Family run and that shows in the love and care within the food and service. I recommend everyone to have dinner here you won’t be disappointed!

Had the perfect Byzantium mixed grill take away... beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection, best in town.

We are so lucky to have this restaurant in our village.Food is wonderful as are Fatin and her staff.Long may it continue to prosper.
