Cafe 73 in Ards

Brussel sprouts and a few appetizers are delicious. "Best cut" Steaks that I have ordered multiple times hoping for a change was always undercooked, no seasoning, and raw. I have had some good food here but recently their quality has dropped at an all time low. I hope their quality of food improves as I would like to return with a good experience. I have dined in and ordered takeout with same results.

We had the most amazing night. I got the fish and chips and my date got the pecan crusted salmon with green beans. My food was good but I did finish my dates food. The pecan crusted salmon was the best salmon I have ever had and the bourbon cream glaze pairs perfectly as melts in your mouth. It was delicious and we will definitely returning again soon.

Very nice atmosphere. Service was great. We ordered 2 entrees. Hubby had Ribeye. His was delicious. I had the salmon- (I would not order again). It was crusted, would have been better without breading), especially for $28 and only comes with 1 side.. Their menu doesn't offer many low-carb options.. Great drink menu..loved the cherry-lemon Martini was awesome .. All in all, it was a nice birthday-meal experience with friends. Highly recommend.

Delicious cuisine with delightful service in a relaxed atmosphere.

After not visiting for six months after 3 bad meals in a row (frozen sea bass, uncooked pizza dough and raw steak ordered medium) we decided to give this place another try on Jan 24 2025. I wish I could say it had improved, but 35 minute wait for an order of meatballs, side of French fries and a salad. Meatballs were ok. Fries were a few hours old, ice cold and soggy. Salad never made it. No, wait, the $18 black and blue salad made it 10 minutes later, except it was a side salad with no steak. Manager was pretty insistent (unfriendly) that I should wait while they re-do my salad. Some places just don’t change.

The service by Alan was phenomenal, not only was he very responsive, but he also anticipated our needs, my husband's beer choice was not available and he brought a couple of similar shots for him to try. I mentioned I don't like spicy food and he put all the sauces on the side. The sirloin was very flavorful and the tuna very tasty. The carrot cake was to die for. We will definitely repeat.

Amazing food, drinks, & service every time!! We no longer live around the area, but we still eat here a few times a year. Never disappointed.

What a gem of a restaurant! The boyfriend and I were on a road trip to Mt Pleasant, North Carolina, and passed this quain little restaurant on the way in so decided to stop in for dinner all the way out. I can tell you that I was not disappointed about anything here. We walked in around eight o'clock, so it was a little lighter than the dinner crowd and there was plenty of seating available. The boyfriend and I like just sit at the bar so that's where we headed. We're on a long distance trip.So margaritas weren't on the menu tonight for us. I bet they would have been great, though. We ordered a philly cheesecake and a chicken sandwich. Absolutely delicious. And the fries were hot and fresh. Anytime I am in this area, this will be the restaurant of choice.I had so much on their menu that I would love to try. The service was amazing. Our bartender was on point. All of the other support staff were around to assist with any extra plates that were needed or left and we felt very well taken care of. Kudos!

When you make a reservation and someone without reservation walks in and gets seated inside the restaurant and you are seated in the patio section that is enclosed but has wicker patio furniture and patio tables that are slatted so rain can run through them, it is a little annoying. The waiter was great, not his fault that food from kitchen was taking forever, at least a hour after we ordered , but the steak that was ordered medium came out well done and when fixed was sent out medium rare. The other two medium rare steaks came out blue rare. Table next to us also had issue with service time. When manager came to ask how things were, she was not apologetic but told us that reservations only mean seating not guaranteed inside dining room. Ok, lesson learned, but maybe you should seat people upstairs where the atmosphere is better and save the patio for summer evenings .

The Ribeye & Brussel Spouts was great! Bang Bang shrimp for and appetizer was perfect! Service was perfect and the Atmosphere was Awesome!

Horrible experience with a very rude hostess. Made a reservation two months ahead. Called a week out to see if the time could be adjusted slightly, to be told that the restaurant wouldn’t be open. We received no call or notification and were left with no reservation a week before Christmas with a large party and out of town guests. Despite that, we tried to go go the night after Christmas. Their system would not let us make an online reservation with six people. The General Manager was bitter, curt and absolutely terrible to patrons coming in. I will never go back.

We hosted a private christmas at 73&Main in the patio area. Very cozy! Jeannette and all staff are pleasant to work with! Food was delicious, and a plenty!

My husband and I ate here for our Anniversary. Everything was superb, from our food and drinks, to our waiter, Alan. Definitely recommend the Pecan Crusted Salmon and their Sirloin. Both were delicious, along with the sides, and the Mercantile Meatballs appetizer. I ordered a Cranberry Mule and loved it. It was our first time going and we will for sure be going back!

Food and service very good. A little late on being seated for our 7:15 reservations but sometimes difficult to manage with prior diners. Music was great and easy to listen to and added to the dining experience. Hopefully that same group will be there in the future.

the salmon was the worst salmon i’ve ever had & it was &30??. the other food is fine but lacks any flavor & is very over priced. :/ really disappointed

What a great restaurant!! Terrific menu, wonderful people, reasonable prices, great food. It's a bit out of the way but well worth the drive.

We went for a birthday celebration. The food and the waitress were good. My wife ordered an expresso martini. She has had a few of these over the years and knows what she likes. It was way to sweet for her liking. The bartender came over and offered her another drink but it was to close to dinner so my wife declined the drink. The bartender said she would take off the charge but that did not happen. I wrote a note on the receipt regarding the discrepancy saying 'I thought a restaurant of this caliber would have removed that charge'. Sadly, I see today that they billed us for the full amount. It was only $12.00 of a $195 (for 4 people) ticket, but that is not the point. If they want to be a high dollar restaurant they need to be on top of these little things.

My prime rib was cooked to perfection. It was one of the best cuts of meat I have ever had in a restaurant. Everything was seasoned well. The sides were great. I had the bread pudding for dessert, it was fantastic. The atmosphere was perfect for date night with my husband. I would definitely recommend and will go back.

So almost waiting an hour for the food to be served. My chicken was cold and so was my husband steak. The sweet potato tasted sour and also we noticed some rotting parts of the sweet potato. The brussel sprouts were good. The chicken tasted good but the chicken strips were cold like I said earlier.

Great food and atmosphere, friendly staff hard at work to provide an excellent experience. You can't go wrong!

We were a party of 6, and we all got something different. Entrée was good. The sides were rather bland and were a small disappointment. The service was good, our waitress had a quiet voice but she was nice and efficient.

Our dry age ribeyes were absolutely delicious.will definitely be returning ❤️

Great food in a restored building with excellent food and service

Great place. Super food. Outstanding prices. Cool building. Awesome bourbon bar. Very crowded on a Sat night.

Been here a few times but after tonight, we will not be back. First, we tried calling for 3 days to get reservations and couldn’t get through. We arrived at 6pm and the dining room was nearly empty. The hostess was running around like her hair was on fire but they weren’t busy. Instead of sitting us or others who were waiting, they held the tables open for reservations but never once during the night were they full. The hostess didn’t follow up with us at all. We eventually found a table in the bar and got our food around 7:30. The bartender and servers were inefficient. Clearly there is a leadership issue.

Always a great place to eat. I've noticed that prices are getting more expensive, but that's everywhere you go now.

Went with a group of 11 people on Sunday. Chose a medium rare tomahawk bone-in ribeye. It was prepared perfectly. Also tried the melt in your mouth medallions. The sides were perfectly seasoned and complimented the protein. Desserts were varied: we tried the cheesecake, and both creme brûlées. Will come again. Great service and ambiance.

Me and my wife went there for a quite dinner for our 19th wedding anniversary and the service and food were great, the seabass was fantastic

Food seems to have gone downhill.....prices on the other hand have gone way up. Still love the location and atmosphere!!

My husband and I travel from Charlotte. It wasn't worth the trip. Menu does not have a lot to choose from.I had the fish and potato cakes (potatoes cakes were cold, We also ordered boneless chicken wings. The cook had missed up our order a couple of times. Oh don't worry we want be back.

Do not eat here or work here!all they care about is money. They did not care about there staff or their customers. They will run you around for your money to get paid. They are liers very unprofessional establishment to eat at or work for.

Something has seriously changed with this restaurant over this last year. Their food is absolutely disgusting. We always had a group of our friends who loved to meet here for special occasions, but last night will be our last time. So sad.

Special was shrimp and grits which I was only going to east half... so good

Was very disappointed in our experience. We went with a group of 7 for our anniversary. Drinks and appetizers were good. We were told we would get bread before our meal. We were given 4 mini rolls to split between 7 people. We then asked for another plate of bread. Long wait for our dinner plates and facility was not even half full. Finally got our meal and 3 of the 7 vegetables were ice cold. They replaced them with hot ones, but my wife's vegetables were not cooked fully, and carrots were hard. My wife and I ordered the filet medallions, and they were warm, and the potatoes and demi sauce were cold. Butter wouldn't even melt in them. Had Sautéed shrimp on the side, and it too was cold and over cooked. 3 of us ordered coffee. One was cold, didn't bring cream and sugar, and when they finally did, they forgot the spoons. We stirred our coffee with forks...sad. they did take some items off or the bill, but for $170 dinner tab, it should have been waaaaay better. Will not be going back.

It’s been 2-3 years since we ate here because the quality had gotten very bad. The return visit was worse. 2 entree’s were unavailable. 2 steaks cooked wrong and recooked wrong. Don’t bring me back an under cooked steak that has had a blow torch taken too it. I will probably never return.

I originally was a fan, but their service and food have slipped. My last three meals there have been subpar. Extremely slowwww.

Went to the Father's Day buffet with my husband and son. Everything was delicious, especially the crab legs, smoked meatloaf and shrimp and grits. There was plenty to choose from. I just booked a table for our anniversary in July. I am really happy to have a more upscale restaurant just a few miles away. Thank you 73 & Main.

So many negative things to say about our experience. Very disappointed and this is a place that we have held in high regard for the past few years. Sold out of many menu items at 7:30p on a Friday, cold food, and took an hour to get our meals. Understandable if it was a packed house. We were one, of maybe a few tables in the restaurant. Food was cold upon arrival to our table. Drinks left empty on our table for a very long time. Saddened, and I hope the restaurant can pull it together, because this has always been a place we have been excited about.

I took my daughter for birthday lunch with family. The food was cold ,fried chicken was old and dry and the rosemary potatoes had no rosemary.

We had reservations and were seated at our exact reservation time. The waitress was very attentive, the food was wonderful. While eating the manager came by and ask how the food and service was, of course we told her both were great.

This is one of our favorite places to go! The staff is friendly and the food is great.

Nice place, but expensive. The food was excellent. Took a little while to get the food, but it was worth the wait. One of the best tasting prime rib I've eaten. I recommend the stuffed potato cakes.

Chose this for a 10 year anniversary dinner. Did not disappoint in any single way. Got to do the chefs table experience and made for a much better memory. Our waitress karrah was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. Date of visit 6/1/2024

Solid dinner, tasty food, good service. I grabbed an Italian beef sandwich for take out this last time to take home because I'd never had theirs and it took me back to my time spent in Chicago. Definitely a good sandwich. Their steaks are good, salads are good and the staff is generally kind and helpful.

My husband and I have been coming here since they opened.. we came here with another couple on May 11…. We got there early and had drinks at the bar waiting on our table… we went ahead and cashed out at the bar for the drinks we had…. The couple we were with totaled out their check and did not put anything in the tip line but put the total as what he was paying……. When the bank statement came. The bartenders helped themselves to a five dollar tip…. Without anything saying it would be added …. We are so disappointed in this happening at this restaurant and has never happened before. The bartenders were new to us and we did not know any of the staff we have known in the past. We won’t be back because of this and neither will the couple we came with….. we always spend a lot on the food and drinks here and tip nicely and always leave a cash tip….. this is deceptive and wrong on every level and will be sure to spread the word to people that ask us about 73 and Main…

so from 5 star to one all because of there customer service. Every time I go to make a reservation no one answers the phone and getting a Phone call back is like pulling teeth. There Facebook page when it comes to messaging them is completely useless they just tell me to call and its just the same issue each and every time. there food id amazing but they need better help or need to hire people to take reservations or something.

Took my family here for dinner to celebrate my daughter's nursing school graduation. Arrived for our reservation of 12 people at 5:00 PM and there were maybe 5 other tables seated. Ordered drinks and an appetizer, which came pretty quickly. Then we waited... and waited... and waited. We were served our food at 6:42 PM. When the food arrived, four of the five steaks that had been ordered were over-cooked. Waited another 15 minutes to get a replacement. Crab cake portion is very small for the price, maybe 3" diameter with a baked potato. The other entrees were well portioned and done properly. The ribs that my daughter ordered, which she shared with me while waiting for my steak, were delicious. After having waited as long as we did, and the kitchen making the mistakes that were made, nothing was comped nor anything offered for the inconvenience. I would expect much more from a restaurant when spending almost $800 for a meal.

Nice place. They were a bit busy with prom, and things were slower than usual. Those folks were working hard tho, we appreciate you! Good food.

Outstanding, all the way around. We initially visited 73 & Main on Saturday just to have a beer at the bar and check it out, because we had a dinner reservation the following day. We jokingly asked the bar staff if they could reserve the same two bar stools for us on Sunday, so that we could watch the NCAA Tournament games, and they said they would. We were delighted to see a nice little "reserved seating" sign at our spots when we came in for dinner on Sunday! The atmosphere is exactly the kind of understated warm, dark-wooded, undertones you're expecting to find at a high-end restaurant. To the point, even the bar had that same warm, comfortable and classy feel to it, that we decided to eat our dinner there. The staff were attentive, but not overly present or pushy, and let us take our time at every stage of the meal with no pressure whatsoever. Simply put, they were excellent. The food was incredible. To start we had old fashions and bruschetta. The bruschetta was 4 large ciabatta slices piled with fresh mozzarella, roasted garlic, and fresh tomatoes, and a nice drizzle of balsamic. I noticed my o.f. glass had something on it, and they immediately remade the drink without hesitation. On top of that, it was a very well made o.f., with light fruit, syrup and bitters to balance out the generous pour of bourbon. Next was the ceasar salad, which was also a good enough portion for two to share, and had candied pecans and romano cheese chunks that balanced each other perfectly without being too overpoweringly sweet or tangy. For dinner, my wife had the sesame tuna, medium rare, and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were super fresh, high quality, perfectly prepared, with well bakanced seasoning. It **almost** made me regret my choice for dinner. I had the aged ribeye, medium rare, with mashed redskin potatoes for a side. Both were incredible. The steak was very lightly seasoned with just salt/pepper, and they let the quality of the beef do the rest of the flavoring for them... to perfection. The potatoes were equally modestly, but perfectly, seasoned and prepared. We also got a nice bottle of wine, which always ups your bill, but it was the perfect addition to our meals. I cannot find a single thing to complain about this restaurant. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a great meal!

Went for Easter brunch. Buffet was on Point.

My fiancé and I went out last night for a date night, the first since we got engaged in December so we decided to go a little more fancier than normal, so we chose 73 & main since we hear such great things about it from friends! It was the high school prom so we both knew they were going to be slammed, and we were ok with that since we just wanted to get out of the house. We got sat right away, the host gave us two options both in the bar area so we chose the high top to be a little more of a date instead of sitting at the bar. Again knowing it was busy, we were fine waiting for our sever to come over and get us our drink order. He came over and apologized taking a little extra time, we were both ok with that! (I worked in a restaurant for 5 years so I get it!!) we ordered our drinks and I could see the bar staff making them, they made them very quick but they sat in the bar station for a while and it looked like there were plenty of food runners to help, but eventually they came to us by our waiter. We ordered the firecracker shrimp (which was an amazing) and garden salads (the blue cheese dressing was my favorite!) we then sat there for a little while before our orders were taken, once they were we waiting for our dinners. Then the waiter came back about 30 minutes later and asked us if we were ready to order (but we already did!) which lead us to believe our order was never given to the kitchen. About 20 minutes later our food arrived. The plates were hot but the food was cold, which probably meant they were under the food lamps for a while. We ate and just wanted to get home so we asked for boxes and the check. We got our check from our waiter but then he was no where to be seen so after waiting for him to come back, I asked the hostess to run our card. About 10 minutes later, our waiter came back and dropped off the check again……. I guess he forgot he dropped it off already?? We left and grabbed dessert somewhere else knowing we were probably going to be sitting at that table for another hour. We were both just really disappointed about the experience and food. We really wanted to give this place a shot but we probably won’t return. It was suppose to be a fun night out, and it just seemed our table was an after thought. We spent about $150 on food and drinks. Again, we understood it was prom night but even after they cleared out it was just a weird and disappointing experience.

The server we had was Tamara, she was outstanding at meeting our needs and making sure everything was to our liking. The atmosphere was very inviting and calming. The manager made sure we were satisfied with everything. The only complaint we had was the steaks we ordered was cooked well but missing flavor. This was our first time coming here. I think we will give them another try but at a later time.

The slightly higher price was offset by the quality, quantity and cleverness in their cuisine. Our spontaneous large group threw management off a bit but they happily accommodated us.

I've been actively participating in the Cabarrus Burger madness and was pleased to hear about 73 & vine ultimate grilled cheese burger. Although I've never been, this was the one burger that came with soup. If you know me, I love soup. So I'm my mind this burger was the hands down winner. Well I decided on take out since it's a rainy night, get home, no soup!! I know I definitely told the woman I placed the order with I wanted it with the chips and soup as advertised. But no soup just stale bar chips and a burger that might've had a fighting chance if they didn't screw up my order. Maybe next year 🤷🏾‍♀️

Best bread pudding I've ever had!

We returned to 73 & Main for a birthday celebration. It was great but let me give you a heads-up. Since we don’t get there often, I was not aware of menu changes. I crave the Black & Bleu salad. It is delicious. I ordered it this time. I noticed the price had dropped… didn’t think much about it. Win for me! But when the salad got to my table, I noticed it was significantly smaller. Still not putting all together. I dug in and felt it was missing something… the steak. They had changed it so that you have to order the protein separately. ☹️ Took the price right back up to what I was accustomed to paying but for a smaller salad and I had to wait a long time for my steak and they made no effort to comp in any way. That’s my only complaint. The service was top notch. They had no qualms with keeping our surprise birthday cake in the kitchen until time for it and brought it to us complete with server, fresh forks, and plates.

Love the food and will definitely be back We were there Thursday February 15 2024 We wanted the Prime rib, which they are known for and they ran out of prime rib the day after on Thursday! They decided to offer it on Wednesday for Valentine’s day. It’s only served Thursday-Sunday They also ran out of the fresh delicious bread they serve by Thursday also because of the busy holiday. That’s understandable but they’ve been in business a long time so I was surprised they didn’t plan better knowing the holiday would be busy so why not have more to be prepared. This is how it looks from a customers standpoint that’s not in the restaurant business Our food was delicious and we will definitely be back but we will call ahead to make sure they haven’t run out of something we may be planning on getting or to find out what all they are out of Also we drive 45 minutes to get there We were disappointed that we couldn’t get the prime rib but it all was 👍🏼 great 😊 and the staff did an awesome job 😊 Also the blackberry sangria drink was absolutely amazing 🍷 Thank you 73 & Main 👍🏼

We had reservations 2 weeks in advance for a party of 18 on Sunday, February 25, 2024 to celebrate several family birthdays. We were seated upon arrival and the restaurant was not crowded. We waited an hour and 45 minutes to get most of the food which was slightly warm when served and one couple didn't even get their food until most of the remaining party had finished eating. When I pay a premium price for a meal such as the prices at 73 and Main, I expect good service as well. The staff was aware of the poor service and even made excuses for the delay in being served. I have no problem tipping well and totally understand adding the tip for large parties. However, a 19% gratuity was automatically added to each bill while the staff was well aware of the inadequate service. This is bad business and totally unacceptable! My husband and I have patronized this restaurant many times. Unfortunately, this establishment didn't lose a customer, they lost 18 customers who will not be back.

Consistenly slow service and I am not sure they really supply a ton of local food? I only see locally sourced eggs and lettuce.

73 and Main is a bit overhyped. First, I’d like to give a shout out to the service staff, they were very friendly and accommodating. However, the food was just mediocre. I ordered fries with the prime rib; fries were soggy and prime rib was over cooked (requested medium rare, received medium). The table also had crab cakes which weren’t anything special, and a sirloin steak which was under cooked (rare instead of medium). Though, the steak was put on the grill and returned with a new baked potato. Not a bad restaurant by any means, but disappointed because of all the hype and for the prices I would have expected better.

Always stellar. 73 & Main never disappoints. We celebrated Valentine's Day by having a double date, and it couldn't have been better. The drinks, steaks, pork chop, lobster tails, and sides were perfection and were so delicious. I don't like brussel sprouts, but tasted my husband's that had the Asian glaze. I liked them so much I ordered my own. Tamara and the manager provided excellent, professional, and friendly service making our double date completely wonderful. Any time we come here becomes a special occasion because 73 and Main has it all. Go! Drink, eat, enjoy, repeat.

It was the worst experience of my life. If you are a person of color I do not recommend this place.When I first walked in it was set up nice., but that’s where it stops. We had reservations and it took 45 minutes before they even a came to our table.another 45minutes before we received our drinks. I’ve never felt so disrespectful. The people next to us came after us and left before we even received our salads. I probably wouldn’t have left a review if the food was good, but the food was worse than the service. I ordered aged braised beef and it was tougher than the meat at chipotle. If I could I would give this place a -5

Dinner at 73 & Main was a great experience tonight. All of us were very happy with the food and the service.

Made a reservation for my 20th wedding anniversary, mentioned that upon booking. Showed up on the date, nothing. Didn't ask if we were celebrating anything special, even thought we were clearly dressed for a special occasion. They sat us right next to the door, even though it was virtually empty and next to a table with small children. ( They were well behaved, so that helped). The food was good, as were the cocktails. Service was mediocre at best. All in all, it was a one and done for us.

Had the shrimp and lump crab meat cocktail. 1 lb of broiled shrimp. And an appetizer of firecracker shrimp. They were all delicious. Very busy waited nearly 45 minutes for a table. Even after reserving one online. Tried one of their in-house beers called ambidextrous, very tasty. Had several beers on tap including Red oak Amber ale. Not much on whiskey / bourbon but their bar had a huge selection. When all was said and done spent $100 here including the tip.

Amazing ribeye steak and best cheesecake ever.

Ate here for the first time tonight and was disappointed. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and thought we’d spend a little more money than usual and eat here because several people had said it was good. We both ordered a sirloin that wasn’t good at all. My husband ate his anyway but I could only eat a few bites. The rest of our food (salads, potatoes, asparagus and rolls) were good but the steak was the main thing we wanted and we’ve definitely had better for a lot less money. I may decide to give it another try later and hope that it was an off night but I don’t know if I want to risk it for the money.

Not sure if they don't know how to cook a steak, or they just want you to eat it the way they want to cook it. For the love of steak don't burn it.

I went with my wife for the first time in a couple years during restaurant week. The food was very good, just not awing. That being said the crab bisque was fantastic. We got the fried Mac and cheese, egg rolls, prime rib, and burrito. Quite an original combination it seems. The place was packed, so the food too awhile between courses. I typically like having time between courses, but it just seems a little longer than it should have been.

Went here tonight for the first time. Had a drink at the bar before eating dinner, should have known when the bartender grabbed the ice cube and cherry for my bourbon with her bare hand that this wasn’t going to go well. It took well over 45 minutes to get the entrees, my wife’s filet was cooked perfectly. My 16 ounce ribeye was maybe 10-12 ounces tops and barely cooked (ordered MR), I sent it back. 10 minutes later I got a MW to W done ribeye. While Emily the manager did a great job trying to take care of this, I was done and really didn’t want anything else. I won’t go into the other service issues with our server having seven tables dispersed throughout the restaurant, obviously a rough night for all involved. Not sure we will return.

I'm not quite sure why there are some reviews that descrbie 73 and Main as fine dining, or can say their food is delicious. My family and I have been coming to 73 and Main for many years and I will say at first the service and food was on point. Unfortunatley I can no longer say the same. The service is very slow and the food is no longer up to par. I don't mind spending money on dinner, especially when I can brag about how amazing the food was and would refer others to go eat there. Instead, that last few times we have eaten at 73, I have been diappointed and now look at it as paying for over priced cold food, that tastes terrible. When I'm going to spend $32 or more on a piece of fish or meat, I expect my meal to be on point. When your food comes out cold or lukewarm and has no taste, you wonder why your spending so much money on something that should be worth the money your are paying for, and you all so wonder why you just didn't stay home to make your own dinner that would have blown that meal away and would have been half the price. We keep coming back because we like to support our locals, each time we have the same complaint about the food and service and are hopeful that the complaints are being heard and changes are being made. Unfornatley it is clear that the restaurant is not taking any of the complaints or bad reviews into consideration, because the same problems keep occurring. We will no longer come back to 73 and Main to eat, as we have tried to give them many chances. I feel that if something is not done on their end, they will continue to lose more customers. It's a shame because the rustic environment and having some where close to eat was once worth something to look forward to.

The absolute definition of high quality. From the srrvice to the food. Nothing better in mt. Pleasant...not much compared to in the county. Make sure to visit this gem.

We always come here for special occasions, such as anniversaries. Would we come here regularly/super often? Unfortunately, no as it is a bit pricey. Although it can be expensive, there are cheaper options on the menu, both the burger and fish and chips are under $20, and the steaks are 100% worth the cost. I do appreciate that they are as accommodating for walk ups as possible, however if you want to sit at a regular table then I'd suggest you make a reservation.

A wonderful restaurant in the nice town area of Mount Pleasant with the best prime rib around!

We went there with a party of 8 adults and one child on Oct 18th for the first time, our waitress was awesome and the appetizers were very good. But then the dinner came 30 minutes later and it was downhill from there. Most certainly NOT worth the wait! Four of our party ordered steak medium on the cook temperature, the meat on 3 of the steaks was so overcooked it was like shoe leather and dry. The 4th steak was almost raw and still mooing, I myself ordered the broiled mini lobster tails they were dried out and overcooked and like eating rubber bands, for $36.00 they should have been like butter, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food and nobody at our table wanted to wait another 45 minutes for the food to be re-cooked so we just left it uneaten. Very very disappointed considering our bill was $307.00 without a tip. I think from now on we will stick with Longhorn for a steak dinner, because $307.00 for appetizers and soda"s was a bit much seeing how our dinners were inedible, we will not be going back to 73rd and main anytime soon or at all for that matter.

Food is great, probably fourth time here. Reservation at 6:45, seated at 7:05. Very very loud, hard to converse. Service is sooooo slow. Waited almost 40 minutes for food. Not even bread offered. Waitress had too many tables. Didn't barely make eye contact, offer appetizers. I had to ask about desserts. She basically tossed the to-go boxes on the table.

Service was super slow. Sat down at the table for 30 mins before a server asked us what we wanted to drink. Food was mediocre

Best mashed potatoes I think I’ve had. The food is pretty great. Drinks are good. Every now and then I’ll go and something isn’t as expected, but even still it is worth 4 stars, on the best days I’d give beyond 5! Update: I went for a Christmas lunch and they had plenty of gluten free options (which is sometimes not the easiest to find here) and the food was amazing. I do wish they had more gluten free dessert options but I think they usually have a few more!

Food was good, and service was great! Kind of pricey though, but will be back.

The atmosphere is wonderful! Shrimp and grits and chicken waffles for Sunday brunch are very good. I don't like to sound negative, but the vodka sauce pasta was disappointing. It was like Ragu from a can with sun dried tomatoes. The server was nice and professional but not overly involved. Again, the atmosphere is very nice, but the food is expensive for what you get.

Was a date night and we WILL be back. Great place!! Share a wonderful bruschetta, a great cut of Prime Rib, nice bottle of wine, and a spectacular Bourbon Bread Pudding. Great food and great atmosphere for relaxed conversation. No rush. No fuss. Great service.

Just okay. The salmon was overdone, and the brussel sprouts seemed as if they were leftovers. It was "explained" that they roasted. I know, I make roasted sprouts. These were overdone and cold.

One of only a few restaurants in downtown Mt. Pleasant, and a but pricey, 73 and Main is beautiful and the food worth the cost. My husband and I enjoy the burgers, and their cheesecake rivals the best I've ever eaten.

I recently had my son’s wedding rehearsal dinner in the Finishing Room. The staff was very attentive to all our needs from start to finish. The food was delicious. I highly recommend 73 & Main for any special event.

After hearing people talk we decided to give this place a try. One word discribes it. Disappointed!!! Nothing made this place stand out except the prices. Can get a much better steak and 2 sides instead of only one at about any chain steakhouse. In our opinion, go some where else!!
