Burton's Restaurant in Sheffield

Es genial ver una organización benéfica ejecutando algo como esto. Estuvimos muy contentos de conseguir una mesa en una de las cenas habituales. Nuestro camarero fue atento, el ambiente relajado y el precio era bueno para la calidad. No diría que la comida me dejó alucinado, pero fue una buena comida abundante con algunos toques agradables. Si aún no lo has hecho, te recomiendo que lo pruebes, es una experiencia que no he tenido en ningún otro lugar de Sheffield.

Tuve una noche encantadora aquí. Tiene un bar con una buena selección de bebidas. Un entorno agradable, personal encantador y excelente comida servida caliente y bellamente presentada. Valor excelente. De acuerdo en que es una joya escondida - muy recomendable

Tuvimos nuestra comida navideña aquí nuevamente y siempre me complace apoyar este lugar. Bonita habitación grande si tienes un grupo grande con un bar adjunto. Las comidas son calientes y de servicio amable, buen valor

Comida fabulosa, una excelente relación calidad-precio y un personal encantador. Como parte de la fundación Burton Street, el restaurante tiene personal con dificultades de aprendizaje, pero todos son educados, capaces y bien supervisados; el bistró les brinda una oportunidad fantástica y ofrece un ambiente relajado y encantador para cenar. Éramos un grupo de cuatro adultos y tres niños (10, 8 y 8) - los niños comen del mismo menú, lo que hace un cambio refrescante ya que no había nuggets de pollo a la vista. Había algo para todos y el tamaño de las porciones era bueno incluso para dos hombres con mucho apetito. El menú tiene una opción de 4 entrantes, platos principales y postres. El pudín de caramelo toffee fue increíble, pero como el menú cambia cada vez, puede que no esté disponible la próxima vez. A los 22 50 (12,50 para niños) para una comida de tres platos que incluye café / té, también es un valor increíble. Hay un bote de consejos para el personal no remunerado (aquellos con dificultades de aprendizaje): pusimos 20 en los que todavía se hizo el costo de menos de 150 para siete personas, una gran relación calidad-precio para tres cursos de comida de buena calidad. Esta fue nuestra primera visita, pero sin duda volveremos.

Es probable que sea poco conocido, una vez al mes Bistro, pero realmente debería hacer un viaje hasta allí para descubrir su increíble comida, a precios extremadamente razonables, servida por un personal amable en un lugar encantador. Sin duda volveremos y esperamos recomendarlo a amigos y familiares que esperamos que lo disfruten tanto como nosotros. Teníamos jamón y sopa de maíz dulce, ternera en Guineas y salsa de naranja y su famoso brownie de chocolate pero había 4 opciones de cada plato y los otros platos se veían tan bien.

This was our first time in Burton's Bistro -and it won't be our last. There is a small well stocked and comfortable bar. The main dining room was beautifully laid out and had a really pleasant welcoming atmosphere. The three course menu had something for all tastes, and our meals were delicious. Service was efficient and unobtrusive, We have already booked for next month!

It is the first time I have visited and definitely plan to go back to the great value Monthly bistro. Really good food, made with care & friendly and attentive service throughout.

Burtons Bistro comes around all too slowly and infrequently but when it does its a visit well worth making the people are friendly and attentive and the food always excels.

This is the third year taht we have held our sailing club dinner at Burtons, and as one of the guests said" it just gets better and better" We were warmly welcomes .Thre is a small bar from which to buy drinks .berfore during and after the meal. Then we went through to the dining room where the table was nicely set with cards for each person indicating what they had ordered. A nice touch as with a large group someone usually forgets . The food was superb. I personally can not remember when I have had a better meal in a restaurant. The chef and all the staff diserve compliments for making this a lovely evening.

I have visited Burton's 5 times now and it has been excellent every time. I would highly recommend the monthly restaurant night it's always a great atmosphere & gorgeous food while helping disadvantaged adults in the local community

I'm glad Burton's is now on Tripadvisor although it's only open once a month, it's the one place in Sheffield we come back to repeatedly for food. There are odd features, such as it not being the easiest place to get into (the blue disabled button opens the door and you go upstairs, find your way to the bar and eventually someone notices you've arrived). Service can be quirky and if a large group has arrived at around the same time, there may be long waits between courses. Choice is simple - meat, fish or vegetarian for starters and mains, followed by a dessert trolley, wheeled around with infectious enthusiasm. There is a short wine list, very well-priced - around £12 for a decent bottle. Over two years there have been the odd disappointments, such as fried scallops and fried cabbage on a creamy seafood sauce which was ill-judged, but mostly you get very well-chosen ingredients and distinctly good cooking; a dish of red mullet served with scallop and lobster bisque was at the time the most delicious plate of food I'd ever eaten. Desserts used to be on the heavy side but have improved significantly on our last couple of visits. Basically, you get a really good meal at a fixed price, and it's a social enterprise for people with learning disabilities. Well worth coming, book around 2 weeks ahead as the regulars keep returning and word is spreading.

This was the first time eating here and the food, atmosphere and service were excellent and would definitely recommend it and will be going back again. The menu was the valentines menu and did not disappoint.

This is an amazing place, not only in its community help strategy but the food is just out of this world. They run a monthly Friday bistro evening as well as other events like Easter, Mothers Day etc., which in the main hall of the Burton Street complex. this complex was a school in the past and some bits of the "The Full Monty" were filmed here. The bistro evenings have a choice of three starters, three mains and then the fabulously stocked sweet trolley gets wheeled around. The food is always tasty, fresh, well presented and quickly devoured. Am so glad that I live close enough to keep visiting this place.

My wife and I visit this restaurant approximately 4 or 5 times a year. As we no longer live in Sheffield we travel and stay overnight locally. The location is a little out of the way and so is relatively unknown to most people. This is fine for us as we know we can always get a table if booked beforehand. The old school that is was is an unusual setting for a restaurant but the whole point is that it is for a charitable organisation within other foundation buildings. All the staff are very friendly and well trained while not being overbearing. The food is absolutely excellent in quality and presentation with a 3 course meal for £22.00 . We have booked for a Christmas special evening and are again looking forward to this.

Initial impressions weren't too great - despite arriving at our pre-booked time, it took over half-an-hour to seat us and then another half-an-hour before our starters arrived. During this time, we were pretty much left to our own devices - there was, for example, no offer to top up our drinks. However, once the food did start arriving, it was absolutely delicious, and the wait between courses was not long. Even allowing for the fact that this is a social enterprise - where people with learning disabilities get the opportunity to pick up new skills - service was friendly and, aside from our initial wait, excellent, and our five-course meal was top notch. It's also excellent value for money!

A fantastic 'not for profit' venture which offers deliciously modern dishes, cooked to perfection in a warm and welcoming setting. Angela and her team do a fabulous job and best of all? It's for a very deserving cause. The desserts, prepared by the Burton volunteers themselves, are equally good - I had crême brulé which was a good as I've tried anywhere. Keep up the good work!

A place that values and appreciates customers.We visited on their first Friday curry night and really enjoyed the food.Although not an extensive menu care and skill in the dishes was evident. The staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their work.We thought the chilli cocktails were a nice idea.The concentration is on the food and trying to make sure the visit is enjoyable ,which it certainly was.There is a l bar in which a drink can be taken before dining. It is not full time restaurant so make sure to check the opening times.

Burton Street is a non profit foundation which helps adults with learning difficulties, amongst other things. The restaurant is open the first Friday of each month and is in an old school. They have great chefs and mostly volunteer waiters. It looked a bit like a wedding reception with table cloths and napkins. We went recently, a table of 10, and loved it. The food was as really good and better than some Sheffield restaurants with good reputations! The service was great, the volunteers obviously really enjoy themselves. One lovely guy told us which deserts he had made with great joy. Everyone (and the whole place was busy) smiled all the way through the evening. We are returning soon.

I have used this venue twice this month for totally different occassions. The dust was a small birthday party the 2nd was a Christmas party. The only complaint I have is on the Xmas party is we were a little snug on the tables. I highly recommend this venue.x
