Bunkers Hill in Nottingham

Really friendly staff. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Amazing Italian street food. I hadn't been in years and it's nice to see the place still has the same vibe it has always had. Kind of a traditionally pub without feeling old fashioned.

Great for beers, sports and does a small bar food menu. You have to try the deep fried calzone. No seriously, it's naughty, filthy and delicious.

Come here for drinks when in Nottingham. Great selection of both cask and craft beers, alongside lagers, wines and spirits. Usually go from Thornbridge Green Mountain or if I'm in the mood Sneidderweise. Often has sport on the big screens and events upstairs in the function room. My one criticism would be that the bathrooms need updating, I.e. gutting and replacing as they are pretty rank.

The pub has... Very high ceilings. Besides that it's an average pub, 2 or 3 real ales on and two cask ciders, Lilly's, both fruit flavoured. Serves as the local tap for the Panther's ice hockey team (I think)

Just been there for a drink as it was a hot day and ended up spending more time because they have very nice craft beers. Tried whatever I cloud without being drunk 😅. Nice cosy place, big room, live music with good service. Outdoor seating available.

Is a good pub, nothing particularly special to make it stand out.

Excellent choice of beers cask and keykeg. Would mark it higher but the toilets are disgusting. I am guessing there isn't a manager in there, just students working behind the bar as I've never seen anyone twice and we have visited at least once a month for the past year.

It's got the makings for a good pub and the atmosphere is good. Unfortunately they had a party the night before so there was no Rose left but we managed to get an alternative. The toilets were an absolute disgrace. One urinal all taped up ,urine all over the floor, toilet brush was covered excrement. One of my guests was not impressed and we left after one drink.

Friendly enough place. Called in after a gig at Motorpoint. Served fairly quickly despite only one serving. Unable to climb stairs so used disabled toilet facilities. My God what a shock! Dirty beyond belief. Sink was filthy & toilet hadn't had a good clean in weeks! I don't know who is responsible for this but they should know that toilets should be cleaned inside and out. Dirty ingrained Urine stains down the toilet front, floor desperately needed a good clean. Sorry to say I would avoid in the future.

Rude staff! We were sat inside the bar on a December evening, the smoking area door was left open, despite a sign on it saying it's cold, please keep the door closed, so we closed the door. My husband was approached by a very arrogant man from the smoking area who was angry we'd shut the door. We explained we would open it when they wanted to come in and pointed out the sign. The girl he was with ripped the sign off the door, and when the man came in he approached us and aggressively said that he'd recommend not shutting the bar staff out of their own bar. He then went and sat at the end of the bar drinking, so obviously wasn't on shift at the time. I don't expect to be spoken to in the manner this man spoke to me and my husband by anyone, much less by someone very keen to tell us he's a member of staff at the bar. It's a real shame because the lady who served us was lovely, but we won't be coming back again.

Fab food, ageless bar staff and service was superb despite being rammed for a gig at the arena. Jody's Bomba food is to die for and just what you need after some local beers. We'll done Bunkers! Xx

Great place especially if visiting the motorpoint arena as its next door

Lovely pub, great beers, friendly staff but oh my God don't go to eat. The food was dismal, the choice is very limited, it's highly overpriced and worse than late Saturday night takeaway junk served on paper plates with wooden forks. Such a shame. It let's the place down.

Very different offerings to when I was young lad. They've got a decent craft selection on the board now to go with the usual suspects. Had some fantastic new beers there recently, but of course, they weren't cheap.

Didn't try any food, good selection of drinks with nice prices. Staff always friendly 🙂

Came for a gig, which was held upstairs. The venue was very cool. Place was packed, but still felt comfortable. The bar upstairs had a pretty basic selection of beers/spirits, but the main bar downstairs had a great selection. Prices were very reasonable.

Not a bad experience at all, reasonable choice of beer, lively enough ambience inside although was pretty quiet for a Saturday night. Bit tucked out of the way so ok for a drink on the way across from Sneinton market to Hockley. Few tables outside are fine for sitting out but you'll be watching the traffic.

We only come for drink so I cannot say nothing about food or service because my buddy was buying .

Assistant manager with an awful, arrogant attitude. Needs some customer service training!

Great pit stop for pre gifg pints, never let's us down

This place is a gem. Went for an open mic night. Staff are super friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced and the street food is insanely good!

Nice bar outside the arena, staff on duty were friendly and the bar was clean. Its a decent bar, sat outside for probably 2 hrs. Only issue is, you do get asked for change by the local bums hanging around the area.

Enjoyed the beer and also watched sport which is good

With a large bar with nice decor views through the large windows, good sized beer garden when weathers good, great selection of beers that start in ver reasonable price range there's a lot going for it I've not been there much before but a couple of events in their nice function room I'd certainly recommend it.

Great bar, fun atmosphere. We were upstairs for a friends birthday in a nice room. Excellent beer, but terrible wine.

Staff were friendly toilets are upstairs though but there is a single disabled toilet downstairs not a big pub but lots of choice for drinks

Ok but very noisy with TV on very loud with sport.

Another one of my favourite pubs round Nottm, excellent range of ales from a vast range of breweries.

As far as pubs go, this is easily the best one in this location. Busy, especially on nights when the Panthers have played (Nottingham's ice hockey team, not yer actual big cats), and all the better for it. Great selection of beers and an interesting choice of furniture.

Meh.. average, selection you would expect from a craft beer bar, male orientated in atmosphere, very bland food, had to ask for a plate as it is still doing the unsustainable everything comes in packaging 'street food' thing that was trendy about 5 years ago, weird awkward passive aggressive service from the manager 🤷‍♀️

it’s not often i leave a bad review for a business, especially hospitality as i’ve worked in hospitality myself but i have never had such awful awful service in hospitality. staff are unfriendly, the manager/owner is even worse and they under pour. not to mention the manager tried to physically man handle me when i tried to go upstairs to the toilet when i was completely sober. definitely do NOT recommend.

Some of the loveliest, most welcoming staff I've ever had the pleasure of serving me. Great selection of craft & cask ales while also having a really lively, fun atmosphere. Most pubs strive solely in one or the other but this balances it perfectly Need to come back ASAP to try the food & see what else I've been missing out on

Good selection of beers on the go and worth the slight walk to the end of Hockley from the centre to try them. Usually busy with a nice outside area.

As is the way these days with city centre pubs craft ales and little heard of beers are the trend. And they're not cheap so makes drinking a bit of a lottery. The pub itself is okayish the service was great o have to say.

Good boozer - strong range of beers and variety of seats and tables. Ideal for a pre-gig drink ahead of going to the Arena. Also popular pre football by the looks of it.

A very cool and modern premise with quirky light fixtures in a converted bank. The bar staff were friendly and chatty. Good selection of draught beers, but also ciders, wines, and spirits. A city pub, so I think is frequented by night-outs and workers rather than being a "local". Good social atmosphere, including monthly swing dancing upstairs (which I attended and was very fun). Sporting events are shown

Came here early doors after some bowling around the corner. It was quite quiet, but this was a relief after the bedlam of bowling on a Saturday afternoon!! Nice, well lit single room with friendly, knowledgeable staff and good atmosphere. It's not cheap in here but there is a huge choice of beverages. Clean and tidy throughout.

This is a nice "traditional" old style pub , with outdoor seating, with parasols over the tables, where you can smoke outside.... Face masks now NOT mandatory , for inside drinking....But, a good choice of wines , beers spirits, inside..... Friendly bar staff,.... And looks like it's a local for the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey fans , as there's ice hockey team shirts in there, and other ice hockey paraphanalia, on the walls. It's right next to the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena where they have music concerts........👍👍 Prices seem ok.....

Went briefly for a gig, seemed like a decent pub, good selection of beer, friendly staff. If you want sports they had large TVs. Not sure about food, but the impression I got was this was very much a drinking pub, there was a dog wandering round who seemed pretty content with things so presumably dog friendly too. Worth checking out.
