First time here. Great food, service 👌 We've been several times now both in Dundonald and Bangor, and both were great.

Would no recommend,very expensive for what you get, we had a roast dinner meat was tough, veg too crunchy, I like crunchy veg but not raw, staff absolutely lovely they are the best

First time in there....went back a few days later. Staff are very friendly and the food was tasty.

Good food, great staff, hotter plates would have improved things but that's only a small niggle Sadly a later visit was much more disappointing, music so loud the few diners in, had to shout to hear each other, all diners grouped together so shouted conversations got overheard and the Roast Beef was 'not to be repeated'

Ordered New Yorker burger which is to be a 6oz patty. Got it and it was 2 small patty's, but not communicated . My daughter ordered the same and also got 2 small patty. , Sunday roast beef was very tough and my mother ordered the sizzling chicken with bbq sauce but it came with pepper sauce . Really poor

This place is worth a visit. The food is good but the best part is the service. Our server was molly. She was great. Smiles from everyone. Would recommend this place for easy food and great atmosphere. Thanks molly.

We love it here, one of our favourite restaurants- great food and well priced. Tonight was a particularly lovely evening because it was our first time having a meal out of the house with our little girl. We weren’t sure how it was going to go. Thanks to our lovely waitress Poppy there were no tantrums - just laughter and smiles as she interacted with our little girl smiling and waving at her, which just made her night. Thank you Poppy and thank you to all the great Bull and Bear staff!

Lasagne tasted had no flavour to it and not very hot , garlic bread quite good

We called in after the cinema. Thought it would be bog standard diner food, it wasn't even that. None of us enjoyed our meal. The steak which was meant to be medium was way over cooked. Chunky chips were half cooked. My son's pizza looked cheap and rotten and my Caesar salad was about 6 pieces of lettuce with stale not crispy croutons. The peppered sauce wasn't good and my wine was pretty horrible as well. Big waste of money! Don't feel well after eating their either 😢 and feel even worse that I wasted 60 pounds on a horrible meal none of us enjoyed!

Good food, good service but stick to bottles for the beer as pints flat most of the time.

One word AMAZING!!! I cannot recommend Bull & Bear enough. I came to Belfast for few days and I am so happy I went with my family to the Bull & Bear. The restaurant is spacious, very clean, has such a cozy and charming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home and looked after very well. The staff was so polite, helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The warm lighting, amazing interior and comfortable seating make it an ideal place for a relaxed meal. The food was incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked and made with so much love. My family and myself loved this place so much that we decided to come back for desserts next day. It was a heaven!!!! If you haven't tried this place yet you definitely need to!!!!!

My self my son & daughter went to bull & bear at the omniplex Park yesterday for lunch and were thoroughly impressed with everything, food was absolutely delicious and portion size so enormous that we had to box and bring home what we couldn't finish, the staff are very friendly and efficient, would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone 😁

We were a group of coworkers who booked for Christmas dinner. We were the only people there. There was a lack of atmosphere as a result. The staff were very attentive and the food was very good. Parking outside was easy and this was a big plus because getting into and finding somewhere to park in Belfast is very problematic this year. Glad we chose Bull and Bear Grill.

When we dined here, we couldn't fault the food or atmosphere of the place. The food was great in fact and the four of us enjoyed it. It was let down a little by the service. We struggled to get the attention of the staff for most of the night. We didn't get checked on and after we finished our mains no one came near us for drinks, desserts or even a bill. I had to go up to the till to ask for a takeaway box and to pay. Staff weren't rude but we just felt a little overlooked in comparison to other tables.

We enjoyed a lovely meal this evening with an excellent burger and chips and a fantastic waitress called Anna who is a credit to your restaurant a breath of fresh air in what was a busy restaurant environment. We will definitely be back.

Popped into the Bull & Bear Grill after the cinema around 8pm. The inside interior is modern, relaxed and clean with great lighting. The service was quick and the staff were lovely, I didn't get the gentleman's name that served us but he was polite and attentive. A lovely and very cheerful lady (Anna I think) served us as well and checked that we fully enjoyed our meal which is rare these days. Last but not least the food was brilliant. The portions were great and the cost was reasonable as well. I had the 'Chicken Carbonara' and my partner had the 'Santa Fe' and we're both really pleased with how tasty the food was. I really enjoyed my carbonara as it wasn't too saucy, had a good amount of chicken and bacon lardons, with a slice of focaccia. We will definitely visit again in the future 😊

Arrived at 8.30pm and was made very welcome. Seated quickly and supplied with menus and a drinks order taken. Given time to go through the very extensive menu before our order was taken. We had great difficulty making our mind up as there were so many dishes we fancied. The food arrived very promptly and was well presented and perfectly hot. We were well pleased and returned empty plates . We had no room left for sweets . Overall we were very happy with Bull and Bear , both from a quality and value point of view. A special shout out to the front of house supervisor. She could not have done more.

Tonight was our first visit to Bull & Bear. We went for a Pre Cinema meal and were not disappointed. In fact the food was just amazing. I had the Mighty Combo, it was absolutely beautiful, the ribs just fell off the bone, the chicken and pork were succulent. My wife had the Spaghetti Carbonara and it was delightful. The welcome on arrival by Anna was so warm and friendly. She showed us immediately to a lovely table. The service by the young staff was top drawer. We will definitely be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is like our second home!! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so lovely, friendly and welcoming. Nothing you ask for is ever too much trouble. I would definitely recommend visiting on a Sunday, their roast dinners are second to none 😍

So many red flags we should have picked up on. Walking to the door the waiter starting his shift rushing to work who spat out his gum Infront of us on the street and didn't hold the door open, then when asked if it was a table for four, when I responded telling the waitress "no 6 the other 2 are coming" she winced and then lead us to our table, then seamed back on track, drinks and food ordered, drinks arrived, when food arrived only 5 meals arrived, the waitress apologised and they rushed the lasagne out, then she had the audacity to come back a minute later and ask if the lasagne was warm enough inside! The rest of the meals were bland/overcooked/tasteless. Tried to order deserts, waitress has to come back to double check order (which she got wrong) then after waiting an excessive amount of time went and asked how long until the deserts would be, to be told "have you not got them yet" this was the final straw, asked for the bill and told them we don't want the deserts now, obviously irate customers at this point we got a poor apology, no offer of discount for the issues nor any attempts at reparations. Never will be back. Will do my best to get others to avoid at all costs.

Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've ever encountered. Today, 26th Oct, We where advised the kitchen is busy so there may be a little wait on food, which I'm fine with. 1 hour and 10 minutes later, noone had approached the table to advise on wait time, check if we needed anything. Fast forward 1 hour 30 minutes, two tables beside us who arrived after us got served their food? I mentioned this to the staff who came back to say it is next to be served. 1 hour and 45 minutes later after ordering, I couldn't wait any longer. I went to the till and told them I was leaving, no offering by Management, no explanation and handed a bill of £16 for 4 Colas. Diabolical service from start to finish. Do yourself a favour and visit another establishment before wasting your time here.

Tried the newly opened restaurant in Bangor. Waited 1hour 10 mins for our food. Portion sizes poor and food average. Kitchen staff clearly under too much pressure. Disappointing 😕

This place is a hidden gem in dundonald , been here a number of times and i cannot fault anything from the food , service or price everything cooked fresh, staff always checking on guests and food is greatly priced with massive portions cannot wait to return again will need to take shares out if i go so often this is how good it is 😀

Unbelievable, walked in and managed to get a table, the manager Laura was so polite, pleasant and efficient, out waitress Jessica was brilliant, knowledgeable of the menu she helped guide us in our choice. The food was tasty, well presented and hot. Great menu, great atmosphere and they’re opening up a new one in the Bloomfield complex at Bangor. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was quite bland, not the standard I expected for the price. Beef nachos had a weird taste to them, didn't eat them. Had to reheat most items.

Food arrived cold, and one of the sauce pots had opened and leaked everywhere! Making the bag break, and all the containers soggy and the food is ruined. Think price of wings to how many you get is extortionate!

Food good service not so good. Ordered turkey and ham dinner as stated on menu but a lamb dinner came out. Was then told they weren't serving turkey and ham dinner. Then ordered roast beef dinner which was nice but not so nice when family were already finished. Then ordered dessert but had to wait 25/30mins on it.

Been here a few times. Service can be slow, but It’s been busy. Bit of a wait on food but it’s fresh and cooked well, always get a table aswell. Staff are friendly too.

We thoroughly enjoyed a meal here last weekend. The menu offers a fantastic variety of choice, the food was piping hot, extremely tasty and generous portions. I was also impressed that as we were given menus, we were also advised that one of the items was sold out, so we knew in advance what not to choose. We each ordered something different and were delighted with what was served up. The cherry on top was our wonderful server, Molly. Molly was friendly and incredibly attentive (without being intrusive). She could not have been more helpful - gave us plenty of time to study the menu, yet appeared as soon as we showed signs of being ready to order. There was no desperate attempt to catch someone's eye when we needed an extra spoon or were ready to pay. Well done Molly, you are a star.

We arrived at about 7.30 on a Saturday night at very short notice as a complete long shot but the manager immediately got us seated and served. Very good service and the food was lovely, well portioned and fairly priced. Checked on us regularly and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended and will be back.

Last time I got the Sunday roast from here it was amazing with a beautiful piece of roast sirloin (as described in the menu) but today the beef was 2 small very dry pieces of a very cheap cut of beef- most certainly not roast sirloin. I was so looking forward to the roast I had last time but was really disappointed.

Service is 100% but food let's them down. Ribs overcooked and hard.ost of food especially chips was cold. Corn bread that my son got with his chicken stack was still raw. How the chef didnt notice this. Food is very greasy. Yuk!! Ordered chicken nuggets for one of my children and they started wrenching. Think they knew we didn't like our food as there was a LOT LEFT. Paid and left tip only cos the service can't be faulted.

Our first time eating here and it was a lovely experience, the staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a burger and chips and a steak and chips. The absolute highlight was the pepper sauce ! ! It was delicious, best we have had. If they sold that by the bucket we would have one. The desert was apple crumble and custard, my favourite all time, this did not disappoint. My partner had the cheesecake and he really enjoyed it. The portions are just the right size, not to big, and the food tasted lovely. We will definitely be coming back. So glad we tried it.

Very happy with everything. Staff friendly. Food came really quickly. We had the Portobello burger, so tasty 😋. I noticed when people left not only did the waitress Heidi clean the table but brushed up the floor . She asked other diners was everything ok. Felt like she cared.

Modern and welcoming atmosphere. Fast and kind service. I ordered a very well served hamburger, it comes with lots of fries. PS: for those who are from South America or mainland Europe and are used to the "red" meat in the center, you have to order the burger rare here. Their "to the point" is our "well done".

We visited the restaurant to celebrate a family members birthday. Initially rang to query the drinks menu and staff were very helpful. Upon arrival we where greeted by very friendly staff who gave us adequate time to order, some of us took advantage of the Cinema deal which included two courses for £19.95. When the food arrived the portions were huge and every single meal was of great quality. Will definitely recommend to others to try.

A couple of things impressed me about this restaurant. Young staff that were pleasant, who could hold a conversation, were attentive without being intrusive and its cleanliness. No doubt you've sat at in a restaurant and your hands and clothes have stuck to the table. Not here and I watched them clean the tables and sweep up from under them. Additionally, portion sizes were available either as regular or large a nice touch. Although this is a diner experience and that the menu items are predictable some care and attention was taken with food quality and presentation. For example fat chunky, not greasy chips, meaty fork tender ribs with tangy barbecue sauce and corn bread that tasted like corn bread and hot plates. So many simple things done well made for a very pleasant dining experience.

We visited here on 1/8/24 and wer not disappointed, service and food was lovely! We had the pit master burger with katsu curry loaded fries and the bronx burger with onion rings it was so tasty!

The immediate draw to this restaurant is the styling - retro modern American diner style on the outside which follows to the inside with nice comfy seats. The seats are a bit tight to the tables though, so if you are a plus sized person then you may not fit so well! The server was very pleasant and attentive, got the orders right and generally treated us very well - good job on this front. Onto the most important part - the food. I went for the chicken and waffles from the breakfast menu - it was lunch time but this menu is offered until 3pm so why not! Immediate reaction to the dish was that it was a generous amount of food - no complaints on this this front. The actual dish had it's issues though. The bacon on top was cooked fast at high heat. This is OK, just not ideal because it means the fat is completely unrendered, or in other words it was not cooked enough to eat (unless you like gristle). Lower heat for longer to render and get some crisp on the fat would be much better. The waffle was excellent. You could tell that it was freshly made to order using batter in a waffle iron - as it should be! Lovely, soft, moist - couldn't ask for a better waffle! The chicken was of a good quality, not over cooked or anything so good in that regard. The issue with it was the complete lack of seasoning. Literally no salt or pepper at all and they were plain chicken strips, not 'southern' style with a spice mix coating, just plain. So that leads to a rather bland taste experience that is not helped by the sauce/syrup that comes in a tiny little jug. There were two issues with the syrup. The main issue, that links to the bland chicken, is the lack of it. The jug was very small but then barely half full so for the amount of chicken and waffle you get, it gets spread super thinly so you don't get much flavour from it. The second issue is that it is described as 'maple' but in fact they gave me maple flavoured (maybe) golden syrup, aka the cheap alternative. I wouldn't have minded so much if there was plenty of it but there wasn't, and maple flavoured golden syrup is never as punchy of flavour as real maple syrup so that compounded the issue. The hash brown was fine but doesn't have any place in this dish. So all in all, a reasonable attempt but issues with dish composition, cooking of parts of the food and corner cutting to save pennies that ultimately damage the experience. Small improvements could make a huge difference here!

We went for the pre-cinema special. 2 courses £19.99 it was good. My burger was a bit dry for me but everything else was tickety boo. Staff are lovely and helpful. I will go back and try the ribs- always a good choice.

Really amazing service every time here. I had been experiencing a severe dental abscess at the time so I was only able to eat small bite sized portions before becoming full, they allowed me to order from the kids menu.

We had an absolutely amazing meal after an incredibly long day. It's been 3 days and my mother in law is still singing the praises of her perfectly cooked steak. That the 4 of us could order starters, mains, desserts and drinks for under £170 was fantastic. We can't wait to come back and see you again.

great food quality and portion sizes, and a quick delivery

First time we went the food was lovely but tonight was a different story, food was disappointing, we order sizzling honey chilli chicken, it wasn't sizzling at all when it arrived at the table. We waited 20 mins before are drink orders were taken, then another 20 mins before are food order was taken, and then waited a further 20bmins on the food arriving, it wasn't good service at all. Garlic potatoes were dry, 2 iteams was missing, had to say and then waited again for them to arrive. Wouldn't be my first choice of restaurants in Dundonald to visit again.

Just ate here and the food was superb!!! The guy that served us was brilliant and the woman( I guess manager) was equally brilliant. The portions were huge and we all tried each others food. The price was extremely reasonable for the size of the portions. I would definitely recommend this place and I'm fussy as I work in the industry myself. We will definitely be back. Thank you. Had a lovely dinner here. I am gluten, dairy and egg intolerant and would struggle to eat out and not feel disappointed. I had a fabulous gluten free vegan pizza and fresh vegetables here. The food was great quality. My dad had a sizzler and it looked great and plenty of it. The service was very good. Very friendly and welcoming. I did not feel like I was a bother at all, which can happen at times. Thank you

Food was nice but unable to cater for special dietary requirements. The manager was quite rude about it, offered very unsuitable alternatives and made my friend feel embarrassed in front of other customers.

Mandatory stop if you are near Dundonald! ⭐️ Menu is extremely extensive and suited for even fussiest of eaters! Whether you are a pizza lover, salad enthusiast or steak is more to your liking, they have it all!! All to wash down with classic cocktails and 5⭐️ service to go with it. And let’s take a minute to talk about their Apple Crumble! Good Lorrrrrrrd! 🤤 it’s a must! Thank me later! (And this is coming from someone making cakes for living!! 🫶🤤🤤🤤) Overall, always a lovely experience and food, will be back again soon ⭐️

Absolutely amazing food and service is outstanding. Staff are so friendly and engage in conversation especially Anna, Storm and Wiktor, which just made the whole experience that more wholesome. Portions of food are big and food is very delicious with a wide variety available! Would highly recommend.

Lovely birthday dinner for my Grandson

This is the third time we've eaten here and it's amazing! The portions are HUGE! plus kids eat free on a Sunday! We had the pleasure of having a server called Heidi, who was helpful, friendly and nothing was a problem! Excellent service all round. Thank you Heidi!

Food was not as described, very spicy. And they still charged for it. Tho I sent it back, I was not informed of having to pay for it. And if I had to exchange meal, would have been nice to know, could have gotten something to go will not be back

Eaten here a few times now and have yet to have a bad experience. Both maitre d’s are very personable and have remembered orders from previous visits. All staff very pleasant. Menu is simple but well put together. Food has always been served hot and tasted great!
