A lovely atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. The salad bar is good and although the main food is cooked well, the quality of the produce isn't great. It's pricier than other pub grub and not as tasty. The sauces are awful, the garlic sauce smelt awful and tasted off and the maple sauce was also not very good either. I'd happily pay the prices if the food was a better tasting. It's a shame as the atmosphere and staff were great!

Wouldent rush back, food Wasent great, but the staff were very attentive, great atmosphere, lovely surroundings and clean.

Had breakfast here this morning was really lovely staff was so helpful in every way and the waiter Peter was brilliant

We were served by Amber who was cheerful and helpful. I can recommend the chicken bacon waffle or the halloumi skewers particularly. We all had the banoffee waffle, it was excellent but I don't know how it compares to the other deserts.

Chloe is very good at her job and very pleasant I would give her 5 stars for her good service and politeness well done chloe

I arrived here for a late breakfast. Everything arrived hot and looked great. My server Natalia was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for her. Every credit to the business. Ps. Toilets spot on .

Amber was brilliant with our group! We’re not always the most decisive bunch and she was so patient with us all chattering and offered suggestions when we were stuck deciding between items, thank you so much! We will definitely be back ❤️

Had a booking of 2, had a few ups and downs with the app system. Our bar staff/waitress was Natalia.brilliant from start to end.food was great.

Breakfast was very good. Eggs benedict x3 all was fantastic.special mention to our waitress Nataliea as she went above our expectations to make our breakfast special after a few not so good days.

We visited on the 6/10/2024. All four of us ordered meals, rotisserie chicken, chicken skewers, cheeseburger. However only 3 meals arrived at our table, when we questioned where the other meal was, they said it hadn't shown up on the kitchens screen. We were very disappointed in this as we had to then wait for that meal to be cooked so that we could all eat together for my birthday. The lady who put our food order through came up to the table and appologised. However she doubled up the cheeseburger as good will (which we did not want as we only wanted a single cheese burger, so this was wasted) and also gave us 4 free refill drinks. However we had already paid for our drinks, if which 2 were already refills. So this was also a waste. When we paid, we let her know that the glasses hadn't been used as we already had refills and drinks. To which she stated, "oh I didn't notice that." We had a terrible experience and I feel like considering we spent a lot of money here that we were let down and the issue was not properly resolved as we did not benefit from anything that was given to us in that meal. Our food was cold by the time the other meal arrived and my birthday felt ruined because of this experience.

Only Given the breakfast menu at 11.55 went to order only then to be told we couldn't as everything was gone at 12. And we went to order at 12:05, 3 adults and a child just looking for a light bite, no sandwiches on the menu either, Obviously not heard of the all day breakfast, or not seen the film falling down with Michael Douglas, very disappointed and definitely won't be going again.

A new selection of meals on the menu. I opted for the trio of sausages. It needs to have a health warning served with it. One of the sausages was so spicy that it was impossible to eat, and another was so salty it was like it had lived in the dead sea, and the last one was bland as cardboard. They were large sausages but literally put on a plate, served with char grilled corn (if it had been charged grilled, the flames were not on) cornbread and other slaws and pickles and the fries. We drove over 20 miles for quite possibly the biggest let down of a meal. The only good things were the waitress (who was really cool and quite funny) and they sell Stella.

One woman very rude believe to be called nina ! Speaks to her staff with attitude belittling infront of customers ! Appalling !! Been coming here for years staff always friendly and always helpful ! Credit to those staff members !

Always plesant and very helpful .

We went here tonight, there was a lady with a black top on serving us. She had excellent customer service skills and she needs special recognition for this( not sure if she was a manager but if not she deserves to be!) Really impressed and the food was good too.

Update: Visited again yesterday (Friday 27th September) and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the service. Briony couldn't have done more for us and was a real credit to the Harvester brand. If only her colleague we encountered last time (in original review below- doesn't wear a name badge) was as attentive or friendly. Chicken Skewers were a nice addition to the menu. --- Visited Buckshaw Harvester this morning (Tuesday 9th September) for Breakfast. Initially we were the only people dining, yet the service wasn't good at all. The lady (no name badge) who greeted us wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming and presumably wasn't listening when she took our order, as she got my Wife's order wrong. The food was very good. Also no checks at all during the meal, I would have liked another pot of tea. It's a shame they've scrapped allowing you to order what cooked items you want.

Went in last night for tea was served by the lovely natalia, loved the new menu will be back again soon!

Me and a friend were served by the lovely Natalia for dinner and she was amazing! Natalia greeted us at the table and made us feel comfortable and at home right away. She checked in with us throughout the meal in such a respectful way and honestly made out time out so enjoyable. The food was great too! But honestly Natalia made our night. Definitely recommend for delicious food and great staff.

Absolutely amazing. Had come from another establishment after being told there would be a massive wait on food and awful service and we were so happy we did. From start to finish it was amazing!! The food was prompt and delicious and the server was so so nice. Checking in on us during our meal, making sure we didn’t need anything and so polite and caring. Harley May you deserve the world and more - thank you for making our experience 10/10.

My wife, my baby daughter and myeslf were welcomed by Nikki who served us all morning. We notified her straight away about my daughters allergies and because it was quiet we were directed to a quiet part of the restaurant away from everyone else. She was very attentive and was good with our baby daughter. Our daughter has a milk and peanut allergy. It's the first time we have taken her out for a meal due to reported cases in other establishments which have made national news. We explained the allergies to Nikki, who bought us a tablet which contains all allergens on the menu. You just select the allergies which apply and all safe items are shown. Nikki also recommended an app, called Glass Onion, which has the Harvester menu meaning we can precheck items before arriving but the tablet would still be supplied again to chose food items with the most up to date menu. My daughter's food was bought out separately from our menu to reduce cross contamination. Both Nikki and another colleague (I belive she may have been the manager) came twice whilst we ate our meal to ensure everything was fine. Due to both of their great customer service, we were given confidence that we can take our daughter out for a meal even though she has both a milk and peanut allergy.

We had a really lovely meal. Salad bar is always fresh and has a good selection. Really lovely food and the service from our server Paul was great. Definitely one of our favourite places to eat!!

Came here for breakfast today with my mum and baby. Staff were friendly and welcoming, set up the table with a highchair and took our order promptly. Food seemed quite slow to arrive despite the place not looking busy, but we saw several deliveries being taken out by Uber. My mum had the Eggs Benedict, which she was a bit disappointed with as the eggs were hard. I had the classic breakfast which looked great except for one egg which had been under the heat lamp too long. However, when I picked up the toast to butter it I saw that I'd been given half a crust, half a slice that was decent and two halves that were burnt but turned over and hidden beneath the other slices. Given how long we waited would it really have taken much longer to do more toast? There was no checkback so didn't bring it up at the time, poor girl was probably too embarrassed.

Very nice customer service. Staff are friendly. And overall great food. I ordered Tomato and Cheese pizza with a size of chips. I ate 3 portions of chips... That goes to show amazing food.

Lovely food, reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Slightly difficult to find if first time visiting but don't let that put you off. The experience is worth it.

Just been for dinner 2 adults 2 children £83.00 for food Salad bar very good Starters nice Long wait on starters mains and puddings Waited over an hour for mains Chilli not nice our server fetched a small ribs in place of Main came no baked potatoes as ordered ended up with chips they wasn't properly cooked Overall not a good experience very disappointed especially with the cost

Just had lunch with my daughter and granddaughter. The food was lovely but, best of all, was our server Chloe, who was fantastic. She was so friendly and really made us feel welcome. Excellent changing facilities too. Will definitely be back.

We came for food around 5pm on a Tuesday evening and had a pleasant experience. The staff were immediately welcoming and we were seating quickly. The manager was nice enough to help out with a phone that needed charging too. The waitress was super friendly and made ordering easy. The kids meals arrived super quick and the plates weren't too hot (parents know). Our food wasn't too far behind but a little more of a wait (we did order separate however and this still wasn't a massive wait). The food was tasty and hot, it's reasonably priced and I think the quality is more than sufficient for a chain pub. I'd definitely recommend and I will be returning again

Went to Buckshaw Harvester last night (23/07/24), first time in many years. The food was good and the place was clean, the staff were excellent, I have to mention how polite and attentive our server was Harley Mae, a credit to the team, will definitely return and try alternative food.

On the few occasions we have been the service has been excellent and the food delicious. Portion sizes are great value for money and it's not often anymore you can got a steak cooked blue and it was cooked tonperfection

We had the half chicken ultimate combo chicken skewers dirty burger Half chicken was lovely and fell off the bone. I had dirty fries with mine. Could have had more cheese sauce but I couldn’t eat anymore than that anyway as I was so full. Toilets were spotless and salad was fresh and stocked up Our server Stuart was upbeat and friendly from the moment we walked in the door. A great asset to the company Thanks!

It was okay, It was totally my fault I chose the wrong meal which I don't like food with bones in and I chose spare ribs which looked so good on somebody's else's plate so dumb choice. Salad bar was excellent. Very nice waitress

On this occasion our rump steaks weren't very good. Cooked medium, instead of medium to well, and very tough to cut and chew. We usually find the food to be good, but we won't order rump steak again. The supervisor took out dishes away, to pass our comments on to the chef, but didn't return with any feed back. Very disappointed.

Friendly staff. Great service, and fantastic food with good choices of drinks. My personal favourite place for a meal in the Buckshaw area.

I absolutely love the Harvester and will go out of my way to find one (which is becoming harder at home!) I'm gluten intolerant and in my experience they are one of the best in regards to allergen knowledge etc. Buckshaw Harvester was no different, the server (I forget her name sorry!) was very helpful in making sure I knew what I could eat off of the menu, even though I always go for the ever faithful original combo sans gravy, as it's my absolute favourite! It was a lovely clean establishment with friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely visit this Harvester again if I was in the area. Thank you for a lovely meal!

was on time frame before the 11.20 time .. however the driver dropped it.. I thought it would be okay as packaged great as always... however inside lid came off beans open up and mixed up in bottom of cardboard bag ... driver said sorry something about only being 2 weeks... breakfast went in the bin wasted 11 pounds ...

Our server Ollie was so lovely, he amended the meal to make sure we was happy with it, traveled from Blackpool and will 100% be coming again.

Love this restaurant in chorley the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is always fresh and very Tasty. Our server today was Hayley May she has served us before and she is a lovely young girl so friendly and helpful.

Amazing Place and Food and Service is Lovley

Came for breakfast but was slightly rubbish how they no longer do the breakfast buffet. The other food seemed slightly overpriced.

My wife and I visited last week, having received an email that a discount promotion was happening for a few days. It was quite busy, but this just meant that there was a bit of atmosphere. The welcome was warm, and we were led to a nice spacious table, our drinks order was taken immediately and we were quickly provided with bowls for the complimentary salad bar. And it continued on a positive note throughout - the waitress (Charlotte) was very friendly, and we were happy with the size and quality of our main meals too. All-in-all, very good indeed.

A lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Recently visited with my sister for breakfast. Slightly disappointed there isn't an option for unlimited tea / coffee, but there is the option of fizzy pop. Overall, good quality breakfast, poached eggs cooked to perfection. Clean and tidy restaurant, was not overly busy when we visited. Therefore, we received first-class service. Would recommend giving it a try and seeing what you think.

Visited on a busy lunchtime and the staff tried hard but couldn't keep up with demand, and the food suffered, my gammon and my wife's chicken were overdone and dry

Went here for Brunch today after a shocking service elsewhere. Sam, who served us, was lovely and very clear with us about waiting times for food due to the rush that they had before us getting there. Drink orders were taken quickly and delivered promptly and, despite being made aware of the rush, once the food had been ordered it didn't feel like we were waiting too long. The plates came out hot and all food was delivered together and was delicious. The servers were all very polite and checked in to make sure everything was to standard. Have been before and always had a good time with good food. Will definitely return. Thank you.
