Buckshaw Harvester in Chorley

Booked a table online for myself, partner and son. Used a voucher and saved over £25 in total. We all enjoyed our meals, good portion sizes and well presented. Overall service was amazing.. Harley May was so efficient and friendly. We have visited before on numerous occasions and have always been greeted with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you Will certainly be returning soon.

We enjoy coming to Harvester, we love that we can bring our dog and eat in the bar area.

In Preston for a work trip and decided to come Harvester. Best decision I made, walked in and Natalia met me at the door, she was an absolute sweetheart. Patient and polite. Told me about the App and the offers which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was good and atmosphere welcoming. If I'm ever in Preston or in the area I'd definitely stop by again.

My partner and me have been coming to this Harvester a little over a year now, the staff are amazing. They’ve been there through my pregnancy, and now our daughter is here! The regulars we see are Sam, Nikki and Paul. They’re all fantastic and always serve us with speed and care 😃 They always do their absolute best to get us a table with room for the pram and by a radiator. We can’t sing their praises enough. Amazing staff, great food and a really friendly atmosphere. Thanks guys - we love our visit every time!

I want to harvester in chorley for the first time with my daughter and soninlaw and granddaughter lovely place nice food BUT ON ARRIVAL I was greeted with a member of staff who showed us to a table and other member of staff came to take are order unfortunately we didn't get a warm welcome as she had a very bad attitude I wasn't happy I ask the same member of staff for some brown sauce and receive the same problem with her totally un professional I only wanted to have something nice to eat with my family not a bad attitude with a member of staff her customer service sills clearly need to be looked at and retraining on customer service .lovely place and nice food it has now made me think twice of a second visit to harvester

It's a Harvester! Pleasant surroundings, staff were excellent. It was a birthday meal. It's a shame our local one closed down. Buckshaw is very much worth going. Food was delicious.

Very friendly staff (Natalia) let us amend a dish to our specific requirements. Took allergen and I tolerances very seriously. Only downside was that the heating was broken so it was freezing.

It makes a whole difference to your meal out when you receive superb customer service. We had the pleasure of being served by Natalia and she has been the most attentive, friendly, courteous and patient employee. With 2 small children who made a small mess, nothing was too much of an ask for Natalia. She assisted me on downloading the app to get the discounted meals for future visits and off the back of our visit today, I’ll be back in no time with customer service like we received. We came in on the spare of the moment after an afternoon shop as we were starving. The best surprise was the free salad bowl with any main over £6.99 AND a whopping 50% off the mains, what more can you ask for?!? The food was super fresh and tasty with so many choices of sauces to go with the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and can’t wait to return. Drive past here several times a week for the last few years, but stopped for dinner for first time during the Christmas hols. Nice open log fire in the bar area, made to feel welcome, relaxed atmopshere and pet friendly. Limited menu for vegetarians or vegans, so I struggled finding something, but my other half didn't have a problem polishing off an extra large mixed grill platter...

First time visit in a while, omg how things have changed(for the worse). The server was the best part, lattes turned up which were not right, this was rectified by staff. Breakfasts turned up which unfortunately were very disappointing, luke warm(all food), sausages seemed as though been cooked numerous times or left on hotbed too long, bacon tasted as though it had been cooked with something that had previously been used for other food, one poached egg was under cooked(slimey). Hashbrowns were just greasey. Toast included the end of a loaf. As we went early we thought we might get fresh food, how wrong were we. Unfortunately we would not go back, extremely disappointed as we used to love the lattes and breakfasts, warhorse from now on.

Christmas Day: food was fabulous (hot and tasty) and the service was great.

My wife, son and I, went to the harvester at buckshaw this evening. We have been several times over the last year and always enjoyed the food and service. Tonight however the Rotisserie chicken was over cooked and dry, and the chips (which have definitely changed) we're soggy and reminded us of microwave chips. I had a burger which was tasty but only luke warm so the sliced cheese on top did not melt. You can do better harvester! Still love the naga chilli sauce.

I had booked a table online and was shown to a table fairly quickly. I explained to the server about my food intolerance and I was given an iPad to view my options. She explained about the possibility of the foods being in the salad bar and was very helpful when choosing my menu choices. We have been here before and will definitely go again as the service is always excellent.

Food was absolutely amazing and so was the atmosphere. We was made to feel welcome and was well looked after Natalia who was well spoken and made our experience wonderful. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a great meal

Breakfast is fantastic from here, good variety for your breakfast. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely wiatress Chloe, she made us feel welcoming and also got our sense of humour.

Did the Breakfast with Santa experience for Xmas. Very poor indeed. Had a butty each which was just OK and took the boy to see a very poor imitation of Santa which included an awkward exchange of conversation between the two. Not much effort put into an experience meantfor a child excited about Xmas. Would not recommend

Went to the harvester for the first time the staff are freindly and helpfull the venue was verry nice however the food was a let down for the price I ordered bbq spare ribs with onion rings and pudding with custard the spare ribs I struggled to find any meat on and the onion rings were served half way thru the meal the establishment was not that busy so it can not have been the reason for the late serving and the pudding looked like it had the custard splashed on it a severe lack of it...and at a cost of £30 disappointing overall spoilt the experience.

Came in on Saturday night and was greeted with a smile by chloe. She was friendly and attentive throughout our visit and is a credit to the business. Food came out quickly and hot. I had the southern friend chicken burger and loaded fries which was really good and my son had the classic beef burger which he said was tasty and grilled to perfection. Will definitely be visiting again.

All excellent - salad epic as ever, manager guy who took us to the table allowed my pregnant wife to order from the children's menu (limited appetite and you'd be surprised how many places are really precious about their age limits) and our server (Amber) was friendly and helpful throughout. The Gingerbread and caramel profiterole sundae was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

Was looked after at our table by HARLEY MAY... who was lovely, friendly and a pleasure the food was as always bob on too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After walking in and being seated by the lovely polite manager we waited around 8 minutes for any order to be taken, after ordering the drink they turned up within a reasonable time but only for a tea to be just warm enough to barley dissolve any sugar in. Decided to carry on and wait for the food. After observing the staff walking past food on the counter for around 15 minutes while they were messing around and giving each other hugs we got a bit anxious about how long we would wait. After waiting 25 minutes for 2 normal cooked breakfasts to be served to us cold we asked for a manager and paid for the drinks only and left, the manager was very apologetic. We decided to walk across the road to the war horse and were seated and served within about 10 minutes, no issues with the food or staff. Can’t really understand why one restaurant got it so wrong. Especially when they charge more for their food. Will not be going back

I was served by the lovely Harley-may , our food arrived swiftly and was received hot, the salad bar was well stocked and fresh , would recommend, Harley-may was lovely and polite , served us with a smile and made an effort to make us feel welcome , money well spent 👍

no black pudding in my ultimate breakfast and the mushrooms where very small .. usually they are a lot bigger. I personally would prefer more mushrooms than sausages 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Food average but salad bar was a disgrace. Hardly any salad dressing to choose from. Not the best

came in at half 5 this evening and was seated straight away, we were sitting there for 40 minutes and weren’t even acknowledged. it was not busy and staff were not rushed off their feet. two people sat down near us (about 20-30 minutes after us) in the same area and were served almost immediately. we were completely ignored. won’t be going again.

A lovely atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. The salad bar is good and although the main food is cooked well, the quality of the produce isn't great. It's pricier than other pub grub and not as tasty. The sauces are awful, the garlic sauce smelt awful and tasted off and the maple sauce was also not very good either. I'd happily pay the prices if the food was a better tasting. It's a shame as the atmosphere and staff were great!

Had a booking of 2, had a few ups and downs with the app system. Our bar staff/waitress was Natalia.brilliant from start to end.food was great.

Breakfast was very good. Eggs benedict x3 all was fantastic.special mention to our waitress Nataliea as she went above our expectations to make our breakfast special after a few not so good days.

I arrived here for a late breakfast. Everything arrived hot and looked great. My server Natalia was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for her. Every credit to the business. Ps. Toilets spot on .

We were served by Amber who was cheerful and helpful. I can recommend the chicken bacon waffle or the halloumi skewers particularly. We all had the banoffee waffle, it was excellent but I don't know how it compares to the other deserts.

Only Given the breakfast menu at 11.55 went to order only then to be told we couldn't as everything was gone at 12. And we went to order at 12:05, 3 adults and a child just looking for a light bite, no sandwiches on the menu either, Obviously not heard of the all day breakfast, or not seen the film falling down with Michael Douglas, very disappointed and definitely won't be going again.

We visited on the 6/10/2024. All four of us ordered meals, rotisserie chicken, chicken skewers, cheeseburger. However only 3 meals arrived at our table, when we questioned where the other meal was, they said it hadn't shown up on the kitchens screen. We were very disappointed in this as we had to then wait for that meal to be cooked so that we could all eat together for my birthday. The lady who put our food order through came up to the table and appologised. However she doubled up the cheeseburger as good will (which we did not want as we only wanted a single cheese burger, so this was wasted) and also gave us 4 free refill drinks. However we had already paid for our drinks, if which 2 were already refills. So this was also a waste. When we paid, we let her know that the glasses hadn't been used as we already had refills and drinks. To which she stated, "oh I didn't notice that." We had a terrible experience and I feel like considering we spent a lot of money here that we were let down and the issue was not properly resolved as we did not benefit from anything that was given to us in that meal. Our food was cold by the time the other meal arrived and my birthday felt ruined because of this experience.

A new selection of meals on the menu. I opted for the trio of sausages. It needs to have a health warning served with it. One of the sausages was so spicy that it was impossible to eat, and another was so salty it was like it had lived in the dead sea, and the last one was bland as cardboard. They were large sausages but literally put on a plate, served with char grilled corn (if it had been charged grilled, the flames were not on) cornbread and other slaws and pickles and the fries. We drove over 20 miles for quite possibly the biggest let down of a meal. The only good things were the waitress (who was really cool and quite funny) and they sell Stella.

One woman very rude believe to be called nina ! Speaks to her staff with attitude belittling infront of customers ! Appalling !! Been coming here for years staff always friendly and always helpful ! Credit to those staff members !

We went here tonight, there was a lady with a black top on serving us. She had excellent customer service skills and she needs special recognition for this( not sure if she was a manager but if not she deserves to be!) Really impressed and the food was good too.

Update: Visited again yesterday (Friday 27th September) and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the service. Briony couldn't have done more for us and was a real credit to the Harvester brand. If only her colleague we encountered last time (in original review below- doesn't wear a name badge) was as attentive or friendly. Chicken Skewers were a nice addition to the menu. --- Visited Buckshaw Harvester this morning (Tuesday 9th September) for Breakfast. Initially we were the only people dining, yet the service wasn't good at all. The lady (no name badge) who greeted us wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming and presumably wasn't listening when she took our order, as she got my Wife's order wrong. The food was very good. Also no checks at all during the meal, I would have liked another pot of tea. It's a shame they've scrapped allowing you to order what cooked items you want.

Went in last night for tea was served by the lovely natalia, loved the new menu will be back again soon!

Me and a friend were served by the lovely Natalia for dinner and she was amazing! Natalia greeted us at the table and made us feel comfortable and at home right away. She checked in with us throughout the meal in such a respectful way and honestly made out time out so enjoyable. The food was great too! But honestly Natalia made our night. Definitely recommend for delicious food and great staff.
