Brother Marcus in Islington

I made an impromptu lunch visit to shelter from pouring rain in the charming covered Camden Passage. I treated myself to the delicious aubergine skewer with labneh and herbs. It really is scrumptious and thankfully does not leave the evolving menu.

Had a wonderful time meeting up with an old friend and AK looked after us beautifully. He took every opportunity to make sure we had a wonderful time, including swapping my friend’s glass of Prosecco for a new one as he noticed it didn’t look bubbly enough! Delicious food and fantastic service!

Delicious food and drinks! Restaurant is really nicely decorated and there is a great atmosphere. Sweet Potato Fritters with Halloumi is a must try, Ilker was fantastic, very attentive throughout and had great recommendations.

Lovely brunch, Diego is a great server! The brioche is insanely rich and I honestly will probably come back for that alone.

Had an overall nice experience with Brother Marcus. They were very accommodating with changing our booking from 2 people to 5 at short notice, which was massively appreciated. We had small plates between 5 people, with lots of good dishes. The halloumi was a particular highlight. The aubergine skewer divided opinion, feels like a “love it or hate it” type plate! They were very kind with bringing out a slice of the brownie for a birthday. Service was great throughout & would be happy to go back.

Perfect location for Saturday brunch. Although quite busy we managed to walk in and get a table after a short wait. Our server Ilker was really friendly and overall great service!

The food was excellent, very very tasty Mediterranean food. Even compared to what we can find in Paris, this tops it! The service was top notch as well and very friendly.

Excellent food, really attentive staff - Ilker made sure we had everything we needed: replacing dropped cutlery and bringing us extra pitta when we misjudged the dip to pitta ratio (generous portions on the sharing platter). Would recommend!

Great discovery in this charming Camden passage! Lebanese fusion cuisine. Very pretty dishes, very tasty for a good breakfast. Smoky shakshuka and fried chicken rosti.

Stopped by after feeling like a snack and ended up having a whole meal after seeing the value for the meals. Our wonderful server, Ash, was incredibly kind and caring, looking after us and telling us about his start up idea (hope it goes well for him). The food was insane. We got the pre-theatre deal (£25pp, good for Angel), with an olive sharing platter & two mezze each. This was more than enough for two, leaving us stuffed. We’ve decided though, we’re not going back unless Ash is there.

Seemed understaffed as it delayed the service & delivery. The fritters was soggy rather than crispy & the coffee was luke warm. This was noted by management whom made the drinks on the house as an apology. I will be coming back as i know that this is not the usual...

Came here to get a TooGoodToGo and the waiter that served us was very friendly and the bakery items we received were delicious. Loved the atmosphere and would like to come here again. Food was very reasonable pricing aswell and with a lot of vegetarian options.

We went for a pre theatre, early dinner and we enjoyed it enormously. The food was gorgeous. We shared a dish of taramasalata and some pitta bread and then shared four small plates of halloumi, courgettes, aubergines and tomatoes. All terrifically good, well and subtly spiced and bursting with flavour. The staff were so friendly and incredibly helpful. My companion is allergic to onions and all their relations! The waiter promptly brought us a chart, showing which dishes contained onions that could be removed and which contained onions that couldn’t. She has never been offered that before and to say we were impressed was an understatement! The food was delicious and generous and the staff delightful. Highly recommended indeed!

This was our third time at Brother Marcus and we LOVE it. I honestly think it might be my favorite restaurant in all of London. Amazing vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, all with such attention to detail. We can always find a seat and are always welcome. Ash was a great server and saw to all of our needs! I always recommend getting the aubergine dish!

We have been to Brother Marcus multiple times and we will keep coming! We try to eat mostly vegetarian and their veg mezze dishes are spectacular. Particularly love the aubergine. Ash served us tonight and was friendly and helpful! Service every time we come is always excellent and they are happy to offer suggestions if needed. The restaurant is situated in the charming Camden Passage, which makes for a great atmosphere at anytime of the day.

BM caught our eye with the great dish's being eaten outside and place was buzzing..... Great service from the Manger on duty who answered the question for my friend on if their chicken was Halal (which it is) We grab a table and sat inside out looking out on the busy passage people / dog watching. Service was great, drinks & food came fast. We ordered Harissa Eggs and Chicken Roti (the dish that caught our eye!) and a Fresh Fruit Juice. Both dishes absolutely excellent and for the area great value. Only reason review not 5* stars all-round.....the Fruit juice. It was £5.70 for a 300ml glass, filled to the brim with Ice. They must have squeezed max 100ml of Juice into it for us. (I held back asking 'could I get some drink for my ice' 😂) Will be back but will be skipping the fruit juices!
