Always great food whether it’s for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. The staff are so friendly and welcoming; they treat you as one of the family, but aren’t intrusive. The place is always clean, comfortable and has great music. It really is one of my favourite places

Bricklebanks es irreal. Hemos estado un par de veces ahora y cada vez que golpea. Desayuné los cinturones. Pedí que me quitara algunos trozos y estaban más que felices de añadir otros thinsg en su lugar. Gran hospitalidad y buena comida!

Ubicado en Chapel Allerton, Bricklebanks es amigable, sin pretensiones y muy popular. El servicio es excelente, y todo el mundo siempre parece estar disfrutando de su comida inmensamente. No hay demasiadas mesas, por lo que vale la pena reservar o llamar con anticipación en momentos de mucha actividad. La cocina hace un trabajo increíble, y la comida siempre está muy bien presentada, y caliente, además de delicioso. No hay demasiadas opciones veganas, pero me gusta particularmente el desayuno vegano de todo el día, que creo que es una buena relación calidad-precio en £ 12. 50 . Es llenante, saludable y súper sabroso. El café es bueno, al igual que el té, que es suelto - hoja, y viene en un pequeño tipo de café. Lovely place. Nice section on menu of brunch/ lunch options. Party of 3. We arrived at 12.30 We ordered, lamb kofta, chips, build your own sandwich and the halloumi burger. Been wanting to try Bricklebanks for a while and finally went for Breakfast today. Very busy, lovely cafe , and the owner is a lovely man, passionate about what he does and it shows. Exceptional service , lovely warm friendly staff. The food was so lovely, generous portions and piping hot. We will definitely be returning Well done to all the staff

What a find!! I had the Vegan breakfast (I am a meat eater but wanted to try something different) and was not disappointed. Hearty plate of food, loved the kale and mushroom (and I'm no fan of kale), home-made baked beans, the avocado clearly had come from an avocado (not a bottle) and potato and onion rosti. Oh, the tea (loose leaf if you please) was brought in a nice pot, enough for a cup-and-a-half and tasted great. Rest assured I'll be visiting again.

Very slightly tucked away at Chapel Allerton, Bricklebank's is unpretentious, but serves excellent food. The menu is fairly simple, but caters to all diets, and you're in for a treat here. I had the Vegan All-Day Breakfast, which is one of the best I've had, tasty sausages, well-cooked tomatoes, flavoursome mushrooms, and fantastic rostis, replacing the usual lacklustre hash browns. I could do without the green stuff, but there's nothing wrong with it, and I dare say 'worthier' Vegans enjoy it. I found the homemade beans just a little salty, but they certainly don't come out of a can. Everything was nice and hot, well-cooked, well-presented, and pleasantly served. The coffee is good too. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is excellent. Will definitely be back.

We visited on Saturday, 4 adults a 9 month old baby and a 5 month old puppy. We had booked a table. We were shown to our table but waited 15 minutes before my daughter went up to the counter to ask if someone could take our order. A waitress came over and we ordered food and drinks. Our hot drinks came quickly but our food took 1.5 hours to come, we had to order more drinks to have with our food. Keeping a baby entertained for this length of time was extremely difficult. The food was delicious but I would not return here because of the waiting time and poor customer service.

Bricklebank’s has the greatest atmosphere in all Chapel allerton. Best way to start your day and/or to finish it after a long day at work. Staff is always incredibly friendly and kind. They are also dog friendly!

The food was ok, although nothing special. I had a chipotle chicken salad but it was more charred chicken salad. But the attitude of the staff on our second visit was the most notably awful. The look on their face from the moment we entered made us feel unwelcome. They were rude and dismissive like they would rather we (and they) weren’t there. On our first visit, the barman, Reece, had been friendly, chatty and welcoming. And which is why we returned. We won’t go back, there are plenty of better and more welcoming places to go to eat and drink locally.

I have been to Chapel Allerton many times but never noticed Bricklebanks because it is in a recess between two other businesses. I found out about it from Rate My Takeaway on FB. I went for the Breakfast Belta which turned out to be one of the best I’ve had. It wasn’t just that all the ingredients were top quality, special effort had been made with the homemade potato cakes and the breakfast beans. I don’t eat beans but I tried these and was glad I had. Turning to the bacon & sausage, these items were sourced from Sykes House Farm and were very tasty. Eggs were perfectly poached. People have commented on slow service. Considering things were cooked to order, we expected a wait but it wasn’t too long Staff were friendly & the young owner/manager clearly knows the importance of great customer service in building a thriving business. Price-wise, the Breakfast Belta is comparable with similar up-market fare & worth it. I will return

Had a delicious breakfast a Bricklebank to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a birthday. Sat outside in the sun and served by a lovely, friendly young lady. When she found out it was our anniversary, at 10am she brought out 2 glasses or prosecco, such a lovely thing to do. Will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Lovely spot - manager/owner such a welcoming and friendly man, who seems to be running a smoooth operation. It's a great alternative to other bars, with TV's!! Definitely worth trying.

We had high expectations for this place given the recent reviews on social media and video content of places to go visit for Breakfast/Brunch. There was some tables available for us which the waiter asked they needed back for another booking which we were fine about. Drinks arrived around 10/15 minutes after ordering, then we ordered our food, we waited about 30 minutes and it was only until we noticed that the people who sat down after us were receiving their food before us we questioned where ours was. I would have thought given there’s only around 8 tables inside that between the 3 FOH staff one of them would have noticed or questioned why our food hasn’t left the pass yet. Unfortunately the waiter admitted he had forgot to put our order and asked us what it was we ordered, this was quite frustrating given it was the same waiter we had ordered from. The food arrived which tasted lovely however it did feel like it was a rushed order from the chefs to get this out by the FOH error, the triplebanks eggs were hard and not runny and the avacado and Serrano ham included sourdough bread with chilli oil however the bread was caked in oil underneath the avacado which made the bread soggy and greasy. I think given it’s a fairly new place, there’s lots of areas to be improved on but we will give it some time before we return. We were thankful to our waiter who discounted our bill and offered us complimentary drinks.

Lovely brunch. Great portion!! Staff were speedy too. Top tip: book in advance as loads of walk-ins had to be turned away for being fully booked.

What a gem of a place. Service fantastic, staff couldn't be more helpful! Food was brilliant. Went for pancake day and leaving absolutely stuffed! Will be going back again for sure!

Nice people and good atmosphere but probably better to just go for drinks as they don't appear to have got their act together on food. Only 10 courses on offer (excluding pancakes) and they had run out of ingredients for 3 and a half of them. Also had run out of mustard, although there's a supermarketr opposite. I ended up with a burger with 2 principal ingredients missing (one they had run out of and the other which I opted not to have). They didn't offer extras of the ingredients which they did have and charged full price for the burger. They also charged a fellow diner extra for a piece of Halloumi which you woulkd thought they might have considered not charging for, given what they were saving on the burger. So, with regret, I won't be dining there again.

As always, the food here was delicious and the staff extremely helpful, friendly and polite. There were so many things on the menu that I'd love to have tried. We were a party of 4, one of us a wheelchair user. The wheelchair was accommodated without any fuss and we were allocated a table with a chair already removed to allow the wheelchair to be pushed into place. There is one small step to enter the restraunt and we were immediately offered use of a portable ramp, we didn't need it but useful to know that the option is there

WOW Called in here for a late lunch with family And what a find. The inventive menu is small but varied with vegetarian and gluten free options available. I wekk for the " triple backer" a selection of 3 eggs benefit variations, all cooked to perfection. they don't do a specific desert menu but we were given the option of brandy snap pancakes. basically a stack of small pancaked, topped with a brandy snap basket filled with cream, blueberries and an availed amazing " jam but much better than jam " mix. The staff, and service were all excellent. Well worth a visit guys 👍👍👍

We were out walking the dog on a Sunday afternoon and just fancied a sweet treat, so, having followed their progress on social media, we thought we would drop in. Unfortunately you didn't have anything on the menu that was suitable because we didn't want a huge stack of pancakes. As an ex-restaurateur it seems like you are trying to achieve a certain level of "spend per head" by not offering anything below a certain price. I think the cheapest food item was a breakfast item at around eight or nine pounds, which wasn't what we wanted. Now the spend per head scenario didn't work as we went for a tea and a coffee, which were by the way, lovely. But we would have definitely spent more if you had had what we were looking for, and at this point, a nice brownie or biscotti to go with the coffee would have sufficed. The server who looked after us was very friendly, and made a fuss of the dog, but should have really offered him a bowl of water if she really wanted to form a connection with us. It was a windy day, but the area outside the establishment was a total mess, full of leaves, litter and cigarette ends. Six staff in a restaurant with less than 30 covers on a day when you have no outside seating available is difficult to sustain financially, but trying to achieve a high spend per head with a restaurant that is only half full is equally tricky. We will try you again, but please do not rest on your laurels, you are only as good as your last, slightly unsatisfied customers.

We called in here on a cold wet January morning feeling glum and left with a smile on our face. The food is excellent, well prepared and delivered by some very attentive staff. It’s so nice to go somewhere, where the staff actually care about the customer. Even the owner (I think his name is Adam) even took the trouble to come and ask us about our visit. This place will now be on our list of places to go in Chapel Allerton.

I went yesterday with friends late afternoon seems like a really nice place and my friends would give it a higher mark. I'm doing dry January and wanted a decent non alcoholic beer. They only have one hoice and they'd sold out of that. Ordered a sparling water which came warm and was barely sparkling. We left after one drink and had two more elsewhere. Sort this out and we'll be back.

Great staff and service. Glad we booked as it was full. Food tasty. Portions a little smaller than we expected. Children’s menu available if you ask for it (we didn’t and wished we had as choices a bit trickier on the main menu for our son). Ambience nice, we’d certainly visit again but may order additional sides.

The most Delicious food in a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble, my friend wanted her mug of hot water out of a latte glass rather than spot mug - the owner went to retrieve one from his car. Oh and the stylish loo was spotless
