Was let down by another restaurant last minute and they fitted us in. Fantastic service and the food was amazing!!! Definitely recommend

I go to this takeaway on a regular basis food is always good but to get called a weirdo by the delivery driver for ordering a curry on a hot not is out of order I will not be ordering from here again

Fantastic food, always look forward to ordering or going to this restaurant, lovely staff, if there is ever any issue its always sorted immediately by the staff, very clean, also like to recommend member of staff named Askar, always go above and beyond for his customers, there's somthing for everyone, overall just a great place in general, I would definitely recommend ordering or visiting from this place its fantastic.

Fabulous food as always did not disappoint. Been frequenting this restaurant for many a year and have never had a bad meal. If I had any criticism it would be the attentiveness of the service. It was virtually non existent on the night we visited. We were the only two in there being mid week in January so no excuse not to have the time to engage with a customer. Back in the day Neal (the previous owner) would always ensure we we’re happy without being intrusive. Don’t let this put you off though. The staff were friendly and the food divine!

Tried all the Indians in Grantham trying to find a local "go to" and Bombay Brasserie is it. Regular customers for 18 months and each time they have delivered consistently a fabulous curry and maintained a high standard each time. Never have to wait long for collection and the customer service is warm and welcoming. We have a vegan requirement and this has been accommodated brilliantly by a vegan Rogan Josh. Naan breads are top. King prawn dhansak is amazing which I have each time. Thanks Bombay.

Visited for the first night of the relaunched Tuesday night buffet. The food was great with fresh flavours and the service was friendly. Would certainly visit again.

only one word can describe the food, DISGUSTING, the bread was undercooked, the rice was extremely greasy and the curry had uncooked ingredients and was extremely bland in flavour. On contacting the restaurant the gentleman I spoke to was more interested in telling me how long they had been in business in Grantham rather than resolving my issue, on mentioning this to him he said I had to contact Just Eat as I had ordered through them. I have done this but now having to wait for someone from their complaints department to contact me. Worst Indian restaurant in Grantham.

We visited just after lockdown so naturally it was quiet but it just seemed to lack some of the character that previous owners had. The food was OK but with other Indians now in town this place will have to up its game to stay busy!!

My partner and I visited yesterday evening for dinner, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The service was attentive and helpful, and no request was too much for them to accommodate. The food was remarkably fast in its delivery, and absolutely delicious beyond description. The portion sizes were generous and we did leave with takeaway boxes. The decor is cosy and clean, the value for money excellent, and the general atmosphere that of a restaurant you would enjoy spending a lot of free time in. I would highly recommend Bombay to anyone looking for an authentic Indian meal.

Sadly, the Bombay has become one of the worst places to eat in Grantham. It's always empty now, even the take-away seating area is gather dust. The new owner appears to have given up; he stands alone by the bar in a daze when ever I look in, and seems to dread contact with customers. I understand not everyone is bubbly and gregarious, in which case, he needs to employ someone else to front the business. It's like being served by an on-duty undertaker.I pop in every few months to see whether things have improved, and each time I find that it's actually worse than the last.The entire place is extremely tired, rundown and dirty. I'm sure there are food stains on the wall from a few years ago (when the place was popular), and the carpet looks like it might up and leave on it own accord at any moment.Worse still is that the food is now looks and tastes ghastly. I wouldn't eat it even if it were free. Everything looks the same: some oily dark brown mush with partially cooked onion bits more akin worms having fun in a muddy pool - irrespective of what you order.The current chef has destroyed this restaurant. Clearly no one likes what comes out of the kitchen now. Either the kitchen cooks what people want, or the kitchen staff need to be replaced. Don't let arrogant chef's destroy your investment! Get in a specialist from an agency to get things going again.In the meantime, the owner needs to stop staring at the phone and get out a bucket and sponge with soapy water and clear the filthy walls. Shampooing the carpet a few times would help too.

Starter was lovely. We usually order chicken chaat and onion bhaji to share which we did here, it came but as we've normally received it. Tasty none the less. Onto the main.....chicken tikka masala and chicken dhansak. Chicken tikka tasted exactly like a Korma and I found garlic skin in there although not a taste of garlic in the curry. Very thick sauce and like warm. The dhansak was far too salty and again luke warm not alot of spice either. Dirty walls, filthy carpets and damp smelling loos. We were the only couple in here, it's not hard to see why. We did complain and were offered a different meal which we declined. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all.

We ordered from Bombay Brasserie as this is our usual go to Indian takeaway. Last nights offerings although tasted nice..... has had awful repercussions this morning. Both have been suffering from terrible stomach cramps. Will not be ordering again

This is my go to Indian restaurant. In my old fashioned opinion it’s the best one in Grantham. Sauces always thick, tasty and full of flavour. They also do the best tasting korma I’ve eaten anywhere in 28 yrs of eating Indian food and I’ve eaten all over the country. Give it a go.

Classic UK style Indian restaurant doing all the standard curries. Service is very attentive and friendly and the food good value. It's been here for years and hasn't changed a bit. And we wouldn't it to!

We went for a meal last night for my dad's birthday and all 9 of us had a bad stomach last night.. food wasn't too warm but certainly didn't think we'd feel like that after a meal. Would never go back and ruined my dad's birthday

First ever Indian takeaway, ordered ahead of time online, was ready a couple of minutes after I walked through the door. Food traveled well, was hot and one of the best Lamb Pasanda's I've had recently. You can also eat in, basic surroundings but friendly staff. We will be back.

Had a lovely meal last Saturday. Service was excellent but then at the beginning we were the only ones in there about 6pm. Soon filled up though. Lovely starters and meal. We both cleared our plates

We ordered chiken tikka masala, korma and a byriani. we had rainbow rice and a selection of side dishes. It was ready on time and really nice. I was really full by the end of my meal but just couldnt stop eating. Deffo will be back

Went there last night with friends, I've seen a better atmosphere in a doctors waiting room. It was so quiet for a Friday night. Guy was hovering around all the time and kept trying to rush us,don't know why as it was virtually empty. Curry...

Sabores auténticos, el servicio es bueno, el vino es un poco demasiado, pero parece que todo el mundo es poner los precios en estas. También el precio de medio comida de la calle. En general quedé impresionado.

Has been some time since being here and the food is just as good as ever. Tues is still Buffett night for £9.99 and you get a good selection. This does not mean you cant order from the menu.

The eatery was almost completely empty when we arrived for an early dinner which didn't help in terms of atmosphere nor did it make the service any quicker. Our order took some time to appear but when it did arrive it was fresh and hot.My Rogan Josh would have benefited from fewer tomatoes and more meat but the lamb was well cooked. My partner's chicken dish would also have been far better with fewer boiled eggs and again, more meat.That said the Keema Nan was brilliant - never tasted a better one. Starters, mains and two bottles of vino came out at a very reasonable total just shy of £60

We visited on a Tuesday when the buffet is on. Actual selection is good not a lot more f dishes but a good selection. However food is not kept fresh; to required temperature of 63c or above for hits or 4c below for cold. It's worrying as Bacteria will hit someone one day. You can ask them to microwave if you wish !! Surroundings nice but showing signs of poor cleaning standards, cob webs, unclean carpet etc... Staff OK but not overly polite they spend a lot of time looking over the buffet but don't actually do anything to keep on top of it. Pictures show poor standards of hygiene and cross contamination, it's also interesting to note no Food standards rating displayed in the window or door area unless we missed it. It's sad as this is now the last time we visit as staff are not open to feedback given my review is not saying anything others have not said before. I also think to myself if the pictures attached to my review they are happy for customers to see and present to them what on earth are the areas like we can't see!! Hope you find this useful; I hope that the owner sees this review and responds with proposed actions as it does have the makings of a great place to eat, the staff just need focus, attention to detail and all putting through a food hygiene certificate to really understand the basics.

Quick evening meal. Unfortunately the spoons with the popadoms were dirty so I didn't polish those off.Redeemed by the very nice chicken tikka madras and pilau rice.Basic curries seems bit expensive so overall it was about £13 for curry and rice. So expensive but good.Let down by the dirty popadom chutney spoons. The menus are a bit past their best as well. Dirty and falling apart. So you could do with getting new ones done bearing in mind how much you charge. Would be worth doing, especially as Gurka Square opposite are classier and cleaner in appearance - and I have never had dirty cutlery there. Would have been 4 star apart from the Cutlery issue.

We have not visited here, for a while. Last time we did the level of service was not as good as the previous owners. We understand that all new owners have teething problems, we will not be going back. We was made to feel like we should not have been there, and my wife was feeling guilty about taking a table that someone, else may have booked.The food was good, at the all you can eat, though when my husband went for seconds, it was lukewarm.

This is the place to go for traditional Indian food for any occasion excellent service and excellent food full marks every time tues buffet night is second to none as is every night this place never fail to provide top food and top service highly recommend

This place has been going downhill over the past two years. Orders wrong, food hit and miss. Sometimes good, but mostly not so good, especially considering it used to be fantastic. Tonight was particularly bad. First I was told I hadn't ordered enough for delivery so I ordered extra even though it was just for me. When the order came it was wrong. Customer service terrible. Would not refund, I felt bullied into waiting for a replacement. Altogether I waited an hour and a half to finally get what I ordered and it was awful! The chicken tasted raw with no flavour so I ended up eating just the rice with the korma sauce. The naan I was bullied into ordering was still the wrong one and the whole thing was tasteless. In fact the only edible part of the meal was the poppadum! Never, ever again!

After trying all the Asian style restaurants in town, the Bombay became our default place to eat, often at least once a week.The food is rich and oily, very much like the London style, and it's very consistent. Delivery/take-away is of a high standard too.The walls are looking tatty and food stains can been seen on the walls and ceiling. The lighting is extremely bright. Those I've spoken to feel the same way, making it feel more like a canteen that a nice place to eat. Please get those halogen spots on dimmers!The staff are very friendly and informal. Visited a number of times as part of a large group of colleagues and their partners and as a couple and each time we have had a wonderful time with not a single complaint! Thoroughly recommended - staff are so friendly and polite, really happy to help in any way they can, food is delicious and a great atmosphere!

We love a visit to the Bombay or a takeaway at the weekend but my last visit was a little disappointing. We booked a table but had to wait as the people before had not finished in time. A young, slightly flustered waiter apologised but dashed off quickly and didn't offer us drinks while we waited. Eventually we ordered our drinks and we had finished them by the time we were eventually seated. Absolutely starved by this point so we ordered some poppadums and when they arrived, to my disappointment,they were very thin and not all thick, crispy and bubbly like usual- possibly under cooked, or they have changed the recipe? The mango chutney couldn't even save them for me as it was more of a thin, watery syrup with no chunks of actual mango and the mint and yoghurt dressing was almost like milk it was that thin! The lime pickle by comparison was very good. I would encourage the new owners (we were told by our waiter his father is the new owner) to not skimp on these sorts of things as people like me will stop ordering them. We were a group of 6 and had a variety of curries, naan breads and rice. I can not fault the breads, rice or the taste of the curries, they were all delicious; flavoursome and with a good amount of meat. The king prawns in my curry were gigantic and I would highly recommend people try the king prawns here. My only criticism would be the amount of oil floating on top of some of the curries. Mine was swimming in it and I had to strain some off onto a separate plate there was that much. I appreciate ghee is used to cook and flavour curries, but having regularly eaten curries for over 20 years (many of which have been from the Bombay!) I have never known there to be so much.We will be back as we love the atmosphere, food and friendly staff who work here, but pleased don't let the food quality slip!

It was a midweek visit due to my partner and I staying in a nearby hotel and fancying a curry. The place was quite empty but we didnt let this put us off. Upon arriving we were told to sit down, however didnt feel very welcomed at all. We were given menus and left alone. We had to usher the waiter over so we could order our meals, we wasnt even offered a couple of popadoms and pickle tray (this has always been standard at any other indian restaurant I have been too). The starter and mains were served which were very tasty and filling and I can not complain about, however they were a little overpriced. We asked to take the two main dishes home in a 'doggy bag' which the waiter mixed together in one tray, which I was not happy about. The customer service we were given definatly let this place down, we will not be returning.

Friday evening. Seated quickly. the place is well lit. fairly clean (seen far worse). atmosphere is ok, it has tables close together so don't expect a cosy evening. (we did not go for the atmosphere so was not disappointed).poppadum's we should have returned, they were soft in places, the starters we both liked. main meals and side dishes also very nice. plenty to eat and all very well cooked and tasty. As we said, its nice. we would not be jumping up and down saying you should go here its great, we would say its very nice and if your looking for a good meal then you wont be too disappointed.

We have been going to the Bombay Brasserie for years. The staff are friendly and the food is traditional Indian and consistently good. We always go quite early so never bother to book. Good value.

There were 2 of us first order was for two Larger shandies when they arrived they both smelt of the drains and were changed. We then ordered one King Prawn Balti and one Lamb Curry. When they arrived we had one Chicken Balti and one Chicken Curry. We were offerd a replacement but this would have taken to long. A percentage off the bill would have been a nice gesture but didn't happen. I don't think we will be going back.

We picked out this restaurant from recent reviews while on a Christmas shopping trip to Grantham.To say that the entrance is a little unprepossessing would not be unfair, but once past the really heavy front door and seated, everything changes.In short two hungry shoppers had quite brilliant Indian meal, consisting of two starters, two mains with two different kinds of rice, a side vegetable (Bombay Aloo) Nan bread and four drinks for a shade under £50.00.While this was a little more than I expected, it was of top quality, very plentiful, all served with attentiveness and charming good humour.The steady stream of "takeaway" customers reinforced our opinion of ongoing good value and quality and on the evidence of this visit, a Monday night (traditionally a little "iffy" in many establishments), would highly recommend this to anyone.

We had a very good meal there where four of us , all had something different it was the usual Indian menu but all done fairly well we had no complaints and the staff where really nice . Our problem was we where the only four in at nine pm on a Friday night and the restaurant is. Rather old fashioned and dark so not much atmosphere in the place. On another night if it was busy wild try it again but would make sure there where other people in there first .

Took the wife and kids out for a meal to celebrate and i was not disappointed. The food was of fantastic quality and the prices for a fine meal were not that bad either.Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Perfect meal. We've eaten in the restaurant many times so we knew the takeaway would be to a high standard. Just the right amount of meat and sauce, naans just perfect. It arrived in 20 minutes and we highly recommend Bombay Brasserie.

We eat here often as a group after class in the evening. The service is always great and the food is of an exceptionally high standard.

this is our favourite indian, always good value always consistently good food.the lamb jalfrezi and chicken chilli masala are our favourites. beware hot and spicey. also the prawn pure is deliciuos.

The Bombay Brasserie delivered a takeaway for 100 people for an event at Belvoir Cricket Club. We have had this service several times and I can say that the food is absolutely fantastic !! Everyone agreed with this.

I have been hear many times and the service is always friendly and efficient. We always enjoy our meal which I would recommend for a good family curry.

We had a wonderful meal here as always, can't fault anything, the staff are excellent, food is really good, all in all fabulous.

Chips were barely warm & some not fully cooked the mixed kebab was cold. The chicken pakoras have shrunk in size. We eat in and order often but stopped for a while as the quality had gone down hill . We hopes that it would have improved but think we will be looking for a new takeaway sadly.

Its been a while now but Bombay has never let me down. I love the curry's from here. If you like it hot and spicy (like I do) this is the place; try the Razzala or a Punjabi dishes. Decore is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful without being in-your-face. I highly recommend Bombay; I can't wait to visit again !!
