The staff here were great very accommodating and helpful! Plus the site is beautiful and covered in bunnies!! Fabulous breakfast w lots of choice. The leisure centre is nice the facilities are good, except the changing room. If I had some flip flops I would have been golden though.

Have a gym membership here and mainly use the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Best to work out which times are less busy as the pool isn't huge but it looks out on the grounds and it's peaceful. I get blue light discount so it's definitely worth the money

Loved the interior of this 17th Century Mansion. The lounge area with the beautiful staircase was perfect for a drink in front of the log burner. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Stayed in the West Wing, Room 225 which had everything you might need (including 2 ironing boards?!). Really enjoyed the Spa (twice) and the brand new sauna was good - enjoyed some good conversation in there. Fabulous place and value for money. Highly recommend especially for Croft Circuit.

Upon arriving I received great service with a speedy check in. The layout of the reception and lounge area with open fire was amazing, very relaxing and steeped in history. The room however (213, North Wing) was a throw back to the 70's, dated and in poor condition. The carpets were stained, the bathroom impractical and the bath was only big enough for a small child, not very comfortable at all. The bed linen is basic and the duvet is, at best, a tog 3.5 which keeps you nice a cool in the summer, probably not best for the winter days though. There are workable facilities in the room, as expected for a 4 star rated hotel, but dated. The very small TV hangs on the wall at an angle that isn't great for viewing. There are no plug sockets at the bedside tables, which is inconvenient. One of the bedside lights wasn't working either. As for the food: the restaurant layout is lovely, the staff are well trained and attentive. However, the food is very inconsistent. I had the rump steak which was cooked well one night and overcooked the next. In the last evening I had steak and ale pie which was just disastrous, but ate it as I was very hungry from a long day at work. There are very few, if any, healthy meals available and no calorie indications for any. Overall, I would stay here for work purposes, however, would not stay here for leisure.

The rooms are tired and the swimming place is not too bad. All other areas are really nice.

Came along for a work meeting. The room was comfortable, and lunch was lovely. The only downside? The cups of tea were awful and undrinkable. Never before have I had grey tea. Get yourselves some proper Yorkshire tea.

Wait ages for food. Nobody in either, in fact, took our order then proceeded to serve the person who came in after us. Foods manky anyways.
